The one-star reviews I see don't do this place justice. One star, I would think, is absolutely terrible, and this place is not. But it's hardly outstanding either. Three stars, meaning "acceptable" is about right, as I gave it that rating 5 years ago, and today's visit confirms that. They no longer have vinegar bottles near the hot & sour soup, so altogether it is excessively bland. Some entrees, like the fried salted squid, are rather good, but one has to pick and choose. I don't understand the reviewers who said the waitresses do not refill drinks and you have to use the fountain machines -- I've never had that problem. But the lemonade is rather watery. All in all, I wish Fortune Star were still around -- they were considerably better. But the best I can say about this place is that it is acceptable but not really worth going out of your way for.

It's a Chinese buffet. Pretty self-explanatory. I'd like to give it a 2.5 stars because if you choose the right dishes, you could actually enjoy a hearty meal. With a mixture of American, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese cuisines, there is a wide variety of food available. However, don't go on an over-crowded Sunday afternoon like I did, otherwise the appeal for food will disappear. Besides the multitude of people, some of the dishes were definitely sitting out for a while and had a dry crust on top. They cook an enormous amount of food and expect it to be completely finished before bringing out a new round of food. Because of that, many dishes just sat there. Imagine a dried out egg custard egg tart. Not appealing. On a positive note, my favorite at Bamboo was the slim dim sum selection. The char siu bao (pork bun) and the sweet bean bao were tasty and soft. Felt like eating a cloud! In addition, the sushi rolls weren't half bad since they were constantly being made and eaten. Again, it's a buffet. So, don't have high expectations!

We went around 5:30pm on Saturday night - the staff told us not to sit at the tables by the windows. This is ok because it was not busy and they were trying to keep the few guests in one area. We got our food and quickly learned to avoid the seafood. Much of it was cold, the sushi was bland, and some of the crawfish were rotten inside. We then went to get a drink and the lemonade was out of syrup and came out as water. We tried the "orange juice" - it tasted like Hi-C koolaid. We dumped it and got coke instead. After only eating about a third of the first plate because it was not good, we went to try other food. The chicken was average so we filled up on the various chicken dishes. The egg rolls were good, which was a pleasant surprise at this point. We then went for dessert - we should have stopped at the egg rolls. The sugar buns were so hard I probably could have used it to hammer a nail. The rice balls were ok, and all other desserts were a disaster. We will not be coming back, though if we went again we would only get chicken based dishes, egg rolls, and maybe rice balls.

It's not good. I wouldn't say it's horrific, but it's certainly not worth $13 a head. All the standard Chinese buffet dishes are bland and taste like leftovers. Everything was kind of lukewarm, too. I didn't get sick or anything, but I also had no inclination to get a second plate.

This was a truly horrific experience. The food and environment will make you gag - just dirty and gross. It's also overpriced (around $15 per head for terrible food). You are guaranteed to feel sick afterwards. Avoid at all costs! Another reviewer found a cockroach in her food here :( yelp.com/biz/bamboo-buff… ) Gross! They should be reported to Dept of Health!

Rancid rancid food. We walked out after 10 minutes. It was just bad. The meat was very old. The oil they've used must have been re used God knows how many times. I have been to plenty of Chinese buffets across the country and while never great, they are always consistent. To walk out of a Chinese buffet really takes effort on my part. Just couldn't eat. Never coming back for sure.

Seriously abysmal for an Asian buffet. They had a wide variety of food, but all of it was well below average in taste. The ice cream here doesn't even taste like ice cream. It had a consistency between ice cream, sherbert, and frozen yogurt. The sushi was very questionable and tasted previously frozen. The crabs they're famous for were pretty small and didn't have much meat in them. Perhaps a couple of the soups and the mussels were the only vaguely edible items here. Service is nearly non-existent. Our hero had to look around for utensils himself because the servers didn't even bother setting his table (or seating him for that matter). The servers don't even get you drinks! The self-serve drink fountain didn't have much selection and they were out of juice when our hero checked. PROS: - They've got all you can eat blue crab. CONS: - Not worth the price. - Pretty bad quality food that's been sitting beneath heat lamps. - Poor service.

This is the worst excuse for a restaurant. Don't go here. Terrible cold food. Dirty and smells bad. I've never seen anything like it. I'd give this 0 stars if I could. The owner should be ashamed of him/herself. Only a matter of time before the health department shuts it down.

I did not feel good eating here. I went despite the reviews for lunch because I was feeling cheap. The atmosphere is gross and the food is pretty bad. It's like a bunch of leftovers in your fridge, that's how pathetic it was. The sushi was suspect and the food safety was terrible. Do not come here even if you don't want to spend money for a buffet. It's worth the extra money to go to Hinode really

Located in a sizable strip mall, a few doors down from a Shilla. I like this Bamboo Buffet more than the other one in NoVA. More seafood in the selection, which means we're getting fleeced for less. Baby octopus and crabs were tender, and the black bean sauce wasn't too strong with the clams. Decent but small array of dim sum-typical dishes, and the cut melons were fairly fresh. Soups were okay. Lots of families chowing down here. Service is polite and fairly efficient about clearing old plates, though I would've appreciated them more if they hadn't assumed I was a hooker. Yeahhh. I arrived late and my dad comes to meet me at the door, so our server saw fit to run and tattle to my step-mother that he was chatting up a "young lady." I guess I ooze skanky vibes in a sundress, the busboy seemed a little too appreciative.

this is a very late post. but its short and simple. food is disgusting and the variety sucks. new management perhaps? decor sucks. no welcomyyy staff is rude. do not go here. if you must go to any buffet around here i suggest tyson's if anything but this place is a WASTE of your money.

Your typical Chinese junk food buffet. This ones pretty decent for what it is. I think the price for dinner is around $15. We came here with a Chinese tour on our east coast tour trip so we weren't in the most pickiest of moods. There are some highlights though: the rolls are pretty decent for what it is, just make sure you don't eat the ones left over from lunch cause I had some of those and they were down right gross due to the rock hard cold rice. The French fries were legit though! Not over fried or cold from the night before. The best thing is the soda machine cause its got Canada Dry ginger ale. Other than that, the fruit is alright and seems fresh. It's been about 45 minutes since I ate there so I guess it also passes the "runs" test. Overall a lack luster experience but it is what it is.

I was at Bamboo last week for a late night buffet, and I must say I am surprised by the number of people rating this place 1 star (or perhaps I'm just generous with stars haha). Pros: The price! around $13 for dinner buffet, with lunch being only around $10, that is great price compared to any other place in the rockville area. I used to go to Tysons buffet quite often, and I don't think I will anymore considering how over priced that place is compared to Bamboo. The only upper hand Tysons has is its interior decoration, more upscale with lots of TVs. Also, the food was good. I'm Chinese, and when I brought my friend who literally just came from China, even he said the food was fine. Plus, for this low price, why would you expect something amazing? There were plenty of choices to chose from both for entree and for dessert (tho, last time I was at Tysons it still had a bigger selection), and I was there at 8, very close to when it was about to close, and the food was still quite good. I try to avoid chinese buffets since I always over-eat, but I wouldn't mind returning to Bamboo if the occasion calls for it

was at Bamboo Buffet a year ago not as good as now, the food so tasted deliciously compare the price $13 for dinner no where else. my first recommendation when you thinking to eat Chinese buffet place.

I have to agree with some of the recent reviews I have read about this restaurant. I normally do not snap judgement, but the last 3-4 times I have been there have simply been awful. Food was very cold and dry (during the height of dinner rush mind you). Probably not fresh. I think their grill where in the past they continually put out fresh pork, chicken and short ribs; cooks a batch at lunch and says that's it. At least that is what it tasted like at dinner. Their beef & broccoli is some of the worst food I ever had. Just a nasty, sour, livery taste. I ate MRE's for a month straight in the Middle East before; so this is very telling. Just a bad overall smell permeates this place as well. Service there has also been horrid. This place has really gone downhill, and now reminds me of that dump that closed recently in Gaithersburg (City Lite Buffet). I would borderline put this place at "Avoid at all costs" unless you are a daredevil and want to flirt with food poisoning.

I like to think of myself as some sort of closeted Chinese buffet connoisseur. And by closeted, I really just mean, I like to pretend that I don't eat at these troughs. When I lived in Michigan, I had my staple. I could roll in at anytime of the day, and be pretty darn happy with the wide variety of sushi, fried goodies and noodles. And I am so thankful that on a random trip out to the suburbs, I stumbled upon this place! Bamboo buffet is a bit weird, but it is definitely worth the $10 weekend cover charge. They had a huge variety of all sorts of things. Since I am a pescetarian, I am always a bit hesitant about these places out of fear of limited choices, but they really hit it out of that park. They had all sorts of seafood in shell, plus a ton of other prepared dishes. And to make the deal even sweeter, they had an amazing selection of sushi. Some of the dim sum was a bit odd, maybe it is because I don't really go for dim sum often, but they also didn't label anything. When you have 5 types of dumplings sitting in steamers next to each other that all look the same, you really need to label them. Labeling in general was a bit lacking here, and I would like to see it used a bit more. A lot of the stir fries and baked dishes were up to you to guess. Generally though, how can you go wrong for $10? I've been to a lot of really ,really bad Chinese buffets, and this one is definitely on the positive side of the scale. No burned food. No dried out food. Constantly refreshing trays. Variety. Plus, you know it's good when there are many Chinese families sitting around enjoying their Sunday dim sum. Count me in for a return trip. If only I can find my way back.

This is just another one of your run of the mill Chinese buffet restaurants. The only thing I love about this place is the cute Asian girl that works at the register wearing short little skirts and sexy dresses. The dishes are sticky as usual for a sub par Chinese restaurant and the floors are also sticky. There is not much of a variety of foods to choose from. Their stuffed crabs smell spoiled most of the time. This place has the cheapest weekday lunch buffet of all the Chinese buffets in Montgomery County.

I went here for lunch today with my $1.00 off coupon from their website. My total was $7.90 and included drink. The food that I had was marginal at best. The staff seemed nice and friendly. If you are a seafood/fish lover, this place is your place. They had a lot of different styles of fish and seafood on the good-sized buffet. I'm just not into fried up fish and I don't eat things that I cannot recognize. It wasn't a bad price for lunch considering. I probably won't return. At least they had ESPN on their flatscreens.

I can't recommend this buffet, it was great ten years ago which was the last time I went since recently. I have gone twice now and the food that really sub par, it used to be much better quality and the decor being vibrant with freshness but now it looks like it has a dingy layer over everything but the buffet tables and dining wear that causes the restaurant to look worse. Countless times passing by I see a tour bus or two keeping the place around. My suggestion is that you travel the extra few miles and go to Tyson's Buffet off Randolf Rd. It is a little more expensive but well worth your month if you want a Chinese buffet.

I am certain that my ex would love the selection of fish dishes here. I loved that they had strawberries and ate several of them. However, most of what I ate entree wise seemed to have the same flavor. Oh, they did have plantains and I really liked those.

Stop by here for lunch while I was in the area. Atmosphere was pleasant. Staff was attentive. Price was average, but you get what you paid for. They have your typical Chinese American food like General Tso Chicken and Chicken Broccoli. Good amount of vegetable and fish dishes available. Found the blue crabs to be quite good, and lots of people were hitting that. But this is probably seasonal. Also found some of the dim sum like the Har Gow and the Egg Custard to be good. I stayed away from the sushi and noticed there wasn't much staff attending the noodle soup and sushi counter either. Sanitation could need some improving around here, place just doesn't seem to be "clean". Especially how customers are handling the dish; saw few people pick up the top plate and took the one underneath, or taking their used plate back to the food counter, and staff didn't do anything. Overall, I wouldn't take a special trip here. But they do have a coupon you could print out from their website.

Let's just start by saying I have lived overseas and my tolerance is high. That being said, this place is just as bad as all the reviews state. I stopped here because I was tired of driving. I would stick to the made to order soup to avoid foodborne illness.

My grandparents cook amazing Chinese food, and they like coming here. So that's a pretty good recommendation for a Chinese buffet. Compared to all eateries, I wouldn't rank this place too highly. Compared to other buffets, it's not bad at all. My favorites: teriyaki chicken (on a skewer), General Tso's chicken, BBQ pork ribs, ginger crab, and the chocolate soft serve ice cream to finish.

Very standard Chinese buffet. It's the only buffet I go to if I absolutley HAVE to go to a buffet....but it seems like the quality/service is declining as the years go by, though. I only go here when a huge group is in need a buffet outing or if my parents have huge events. They often have coupons so if you search hard enough, you can get a good deal. I posted the link to their site so that you can get that--oh and, AVOID THE PIZZA. get pizza at a pizza restaurant...not here. Pricing... Lunch is around 7 bucks and dinner goes up to 13 is my memory is correct. Dim sum is also around 13. overall, standard. Nothing more to say, nothing less to say.

The food was very good. However my only downside is the service. They had that weird lingering around you thing going on. It's not much attentiveness you would need at a buffet, their only bringing sodas.C'mon?? Be polite but I'm not stealing food!!

I try to compare apples to apples when creating a review for a restaurant and I will do that here. Is this fine dining for "foodies"? Absolutely not. However, I consider most buffets in this area as simply a place to quickly stuff your gut with adequately edible food and be on your way. Bamboo Buffet fits that bill for me. The food is pretty much on par with other, smaller Chinese buffets in the area. Of course the seafood variety is better. And I like the food here much better than I like at a spot like Old Country Buffet. Service is generally so so at best. But complaining about it is like complaining that there is no doorman at the local Motel 6. My guess is that people generally tip worse at buffets than at a "normal" restaurants so you get what you pay for. I don't hesitate to refill my own drink if needed. Its a buffet, no big deal to me. The best strategy for the best experience is get there at the early start of lunch. Have a list in mind of at least 3 primary favorite dishes. So if say the chicken skewers are dry then you will probably hit on the orange chicken or salmon being tender and freshly cooked. It will also help if you generally like seafood. Keep your expectations in check, understand this is not supposed to be a 5 star experience, fill your gullet and you will be OKAY.

Little did I know that a Chinese sit-down restaurant could drop below fast food restaurants in terms of food quality and taste. Every food item served at Bamboo Buffet is filled with questionable ingredients besides the obvious, exploited use of MSG. Although their prices are cheap (~$6-8 lunch buffet or $10-12 dinner buffet), you are forced to dump garbage into your stomach. Their "ice cream" (notice the quotes), is likely water-based as opposed to dairy-based. Simply picture making hot cocoa with water, except letting it solidify in the freezer. I would recommend staying away from their "pho" unless you are fond of "soup" made with water and MSG. The sushi served here is never fresh. They are either frozen over night or refrigerated. One thing you can't go wrong here is to get their vegetable dishes. At the very least, they seem to be the only edible food here. Overall, the saying "how much you get is how much you pay" holds true at Bamboo Buffet.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for dim sum; there are no push carts with fresh food. Their version of dim sum are a few hot plates of dim sum from what seems to be from the day before! The restaurant didn't fill up until at least 2pm. I'm very disappointed and their food tasted horrible.

I remember their food being really crappy about 10 years back. Few years later, Bamboo got renovated and people said it's much better so my friend & I decided to give it another try. We came 1 hour before the closing time so we asked if they had any food left. The little Asian lady said "yeah, yeah, plenty of food, come in!" When we got our plates & about to get our food, there's only veggie left!!! All the meat's gone!!!!!!!!!! Even in "Beef & Broccoli, there's only broccoli. On top of that, none of them're any good, so we ended up eating 20 of those rice balls (dessert) and called it a night. It's a horrible experience. Don't come here, it's a waste of money.

I JUST arrived home from "feeding" at Bamboo where I have been a rather loyal customer since they 1st opened, many years ago. For the past year, I have been there less frequently due to my wife's cancer and finally her death last month! The wait-staff knew us both on sight but the Manager (or whatever he is) would not make eye contact; not say hello; and would only rudely answer questions when prodded. Oh and the carpeting and most of the place is now, filthy! While there this morning (when it opened), I went to check my iPhone's email and saw "Bamboo Buffet" as a Wi-Fi choice; kool! The Wi-Fi was NOT there last Saturday. I asked the attractive and well spoken (fair English) hostess, as to what the log-on was for their new site. She said I would have to ask the Manager which I did when he arrived about 45 minutes later. He said that they had "no Wi-Fi"! I showed him my cell and pointed out "Bamboo Buffet" he repeated his denial and walked away from me. I mentioned this to the hostess and she just shrugged. One would think that IF they had Wi-Fi "for employees" only, that it would not be advertized; but simply be addressed as someone's name on anything but their restaurant's name? Ya think that a neighbor would chose to use that address? Naaa

One of the better Asian buffets I have experienced. An amazing variety of seafood, and even though I wasn't in the mood for fish, I found plenty to eat. Not cheap at $12.95 for Sunday afternoon, but I will be back. One more thing: smart servers know that the way to my heart and a big tip is never to let my drink get empty. I never saw the bottom of my glass here!

This is average at best. This is not a 5 star eating establishment. Sushi, dim sum and lots of seafood with a some other "american" items thrown in. If you want Dim Sum - hit up Good Fortune in Wheaton. Avoid the Mac and Cheese. Cocounut Balls where pretty darn tasty. Lots of seafood - though the muscles where below par, the crawfish were small as where the salted shrimp. But they were plentiful in each department. Almost everything was labeled except the sauces. Was looking, but never found, the peanut sauce for the chicken satay. There was plenty of fresh ginger and wasabi for the sushi (again much of if amercanized - like salmon and cream cheese). If you have teens - take them. They will get full. Don't take a date for a fine dining experience or the ambiance. Bathrooms were clean. We were given plenty of napkins and were checked on more than once. I will not go back because this isn't my kind of place in general. My husband liked and my teen was ok but did not want to come back either.

Very oily food, with dubious freshness. Some of the sushi items were going sour. Yet the more glaring problem was the service. The people working here are not very courteous to patron questions, and when we asked them questions were brusque and rude. They also charged tourists more than the listed dinner price, and when we asked them about it, they got defensive and said that they'd already charged our card, so if we didn't want to eat there, we could just leave. I found this an extremely immature way to reply, and will never go to this restaurant again. Bad food combined with bad service --- this place needs to improve.

Ok, I'm biased against Chinese buffets -- I hate MSG, because it gives me headaches, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a buffet that doesn't use one. Regardless, the seafood selection here is pretty admirable, all things considered, though as someone else noted, most dishes seem to be salted and seasoned in the same way. The clams were a bit gritty, the roast (Peking-style?) chicken was alarmingly bland, where the skin was less crispy than stiff. The standard lo mein and fried rice were also lacking. Also, don't get the sushi -- you can tell it's pretty stale. The egg custard tarts were pretty decent, although a little light on filling. The BBQ pork was pretty good. One of my dining companions found a clump of grassy material at the bottom of his drink... gross!

At first I thought it was pretty good but afterwards I got pho. I was eating it and thinking that it was sorda plain but it was alright. But then... When I was mixing my noodles... I STURED UP A FUCKING COCKROACH! Thy didn't do anything. Thy were just lyk... Oh do you want another bowl? OMFG ! NO BITCH I WANT MY MONEY BACK. IF I WANTED ANOTHER BOWL OF COCKROACH INFESTED NOODLES, I'D GET IT MYSELF. But thy didn't give it back so I just stormed off. IM FUCKING ALLERGIC TO COCKROACHES!!

Great selection high quality lots of seafood. I was in Rockville Sunday lunchtime and in the mood for a Chinese buffet - checked out yelp, drove to Tysons buffet and found a closed by order of health dept sign on the door. So drove to Bamboo even though reviews were mixed. The selection was awesome - fresh chinese greens, mushrooms, fried squid and octopus, shrimp, mixed seafood. plus lots of chicken and beef dishes (with broccoli, etc) for those who eat meat (I seldom do). Great choices of rice and noodles. I got so filled up on these high quality dishes (especially the greens, mushrooms, squid and rice) that I did not have room to check out the singapore noodle bar or the sushi. The food was a touch greasy so I am tempted to give it only 4 stars, and the ambiance was "buffet-style" not upscale, but the value for $13 including drink was as good as it gets, so five stars it is... Now this was a Sunday so maybe it's not as good weekdays. Also noticed decent looking pizza for the kids who dont like chinese food...

I like the service and the look of the restaraunt, buffet, sushi bar, and noodle bar are good and i would like it if they clean and decorate the outside more. they should also add more different food like lobster and shrimp cocktail. BUT THAT WAS YEARS AGO!! now its just rude dirty service with boring tv.

  • Christina S.

The food is not as greasy like the other buffets. They have a new sushi chef and he's great better than most places. I like the soups they have in two pots on the side (not the four exposed one). Those are real chinese soups that you don't see other places (taste just like the way my mom makes it).

Pretty bad place :( my wife and I came here from Frederick , spent $30 and regret every penny- cold food, tasted as if everything was cooked from expired ingredients, very poor selection of sushi, and other items! The verdict is - do not waste you time, money, and health!!!!!

  • Angela S.

Pretty decent atmosphere with lots of choices. Most of the food was fresh and there was a decent area for sushi. The dim sum was not as fresh, but still edible. There was a wide selection of seafood and desserts. The BBQ ribs were decent as well, but some meat was hard to chew. The price is generally reasonable for the amount of food that they had. The soups were okay. I was surprised that they had congee and soy milk, as in traditional Chinese breakfast style. They also had a Vietnamese noodle station, but only a couple of people use them. Their service is efficient and nice as well.

The food is usually either over cooked or cold and doesn't really taste that good anyway. The kicker was when they had 2 separate varieties of chicken feet on the buffet.

Food here is so stale, lukewarm, and dry. Sometimes I can see rotten pieces of veggies. Can you say OLD? Yeah I guess it's cheap but quality sucks and with all that nasty ingredients you're stuffing your face with...spending alot of money on heath care in the long run.

Not a bad buffet, pretty average. They do have sushi, pho, and dimsum in addition to the usual faire. Everything tastes like what you'd expect. Reasonably priced as well.

I had buffet dinner yesterday. It was pretty good in compared to buffet restaurant in VA. If you like crawfish, it is a great place to pig out. But the other seafood like clam and deep fried stone crabs were okay, and not really fresh. Not sure if I will come back again soon though. (P.S. The tofu desserts were great too)

Today is the new sushi guy's third day on the job. He's OK but not as generous as the previous two. On the plus side he speaks good English. Just don't go for sushi when the regular guy is off because the old guy substituting is TERRIBLE.

Did you know they have dim-sum on Sunday? The quality overall was surprisingly fantastic, especially the shrimp rolls. I usually don't go for buffets, but after the last Sunday morning trip I might reconsider.

There are a lot of places of this sort, but I think this one is one of the better buffets. I'll give it 3 stars because it is what it is. It's very cheap. It costs less than $8 for an all you can eat buffet that is quite extensive. There's a salad bar, pizza, Latino food, Chinese, Sushi bar, soups, desserts, a BBQ bar, dim sum......you name it. They say Thai food is coming soon. I go with a friend on my day off. Even if I'm trying to be a little careful about my choices, there's plenty of fish to choose from. There's peel it yourself shrimp salted and unsalted. Yesterday, there was a scallop and soybean dish that was quite good. The calamari was good yesterday, too. I'm partial to Chinese broccoli ( there's another name for it) and they always have it. The desserts are mostly of the Asian variety, but you can help yourself to soft serve ice cream, too. There's nothing that is so outstanding, but it's fun if you're in the mood for a lot of variety and you're hungry. You can make it a one meal day.

Look, to put it bluntly, if you are a fat terd who wants to gorge on lots of buffet food for a price that isnt steep then this might be the place for you. If not, then going here will make you ask yourself "what did i just suffer through???" The food was absolutely disgusting. I mean, damn. That was dreadful. Nothing had flavor. Everything was freezer food so it was overly salty, saturated with water, and then covered in some type of fructose sauce to give it "flavor." ...blah.The service was quick and curteous though. The price was $12.50 a person. Put id rather have one plate of good food then 10 plates of unsatisfying food-like substances like i did at this place.

This place was pretty good for a Chinese buffet. I'm usually not into those but went anyway. It might've just been their Sunday menu because they were serving dim sum, but it was delicious and had a wide variety of foods. I was even surprised because the sight of their sushi didn't make me want to hurl. It was good stuff if you're looking for an inexpensive meal.

I find myself pulling in there since my willpower is ungood whilst driving on Veirs Mill Road, and they do have fresh sushi being made all the time by an actual DUDE. Never had dim sum there, but the steamed dumplings there at other times are quite nice, especially the small shrimp ones. Get it...small...shrimp? O shut up. In the past, they've had surprisingly good whole steamed blue crabs, upon which I can truly hurt myself for hours. And hat's BEFORE cracking them open. Other stuff I relish are the curry spiced frog legs, chinese vegetable, whole baby octopussessess. The baby clams & desert selection are meh. As for entertainment, there are my ever-colorful fellow diners. Something amusing ALWAYS transpires when I'm there. Plus there are THREE TV monitors, usually tuned to the Gorgeous Tiny Chicken Machine Show. So when in Rockville, ummm...sure, why not.

A pretty standard Chinese buffet. You won't be disappointed, but you won't rave about it either. The selection is good and the food is definitely satisfying. Pretty good, but also nothing too special.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city.
