We went here to celebrate my mom's birthday and to satisfy a craving for tasty, non-greasy/hole-in-the-wall Chinese food. And that's just what we got! They start you off with those fried chips and duck sauce they have at most Chinese restaurants, but they also have a complimentary sweet and sour cabbage salad. We split a number of dishes so lemme just give you some highlights: Sesame chicken with white meat only-- great quality meat with a mouthwatering crunch Crispy shredded beef-- best kept secret of Chinese food... for real, try it. Shrimp with Chinese vegetables-- jumbo shrimp in a brown sauce with a mix of various vegetables All the entrées are a great size to share, and teh quality of food is erally great. I have never tried the sushi there, but considering it's a Chinese restaurant, I'll stick with just that. They know what they're doing at China Moon!

Bad sushi. Their spicy tuna is tuna with red pepper flakes and scallions. Eel and shrimp tempura had no flavor, which is quite difficult to do with good eel and with tempura. Very disappointing.

We and our 3.5 year old love this place and go every two weeks. I like the shrimp tempura and salmon rolls. Toddler likes lo mein and shrimp plus edamame and wonton soup Wife likes shrimp marengo. Very friendly staff.

It's been a while since I've taken my family to China Moon and now I remember why. We met another family there and they had already been seated although when myself and my wife walked through the front door there was who I guess was either the owner or manager couldn't even mustard up as much as a smile o greet us. I thought the place had a dampness to it and it looked as the carpet hadn't been shampooed in a year. The waitress ( never mind that there was only one server for the entire restaurant ) was friendly and took our order quickly no mention of any specials or recommendations. I ordered something that I thought would be safe and easy , I was very wrong. I ordered chicken chow mien , how can you screw that up? It was so bad I didn't want to take any chances on sending it back . Chicken strips thinly cut with unidentifiable ingredients and zero flavor. Spare ribs also seemed left over from someone else's dish that were reheated. Since the lowest rating I can give is 1 star it should really be a zero. I almost forgot no one else like there dinners either, and to boot no one there asked us how things were. Even the fortune cookies were stale. Don't waste your hard earned money or time going to China Moon, get carry out somewhere else. ,

I've been going to China Moon for years and years, starting with when it was located in Columbia. There really is no comparison to how fantastic it is. I have eaten in fine dining establishments in both New York and San Francisco China towns, and I would be so bold as to say this place stacks up. Food is fresh! Not greasy. The egg rolls are the size of your head. Very fast and polite staff, sherbert between courses, hot towel at the end, etc. And the best damn General Tso around.

We live 5 minutes away and this is our go-to Chinese food place. Everytime we want Chinese carry-out we come to China Moon. The food is pretty good and not too expensive. I usually get wonton soup, a California roll, beef lo mein, and fried rice. We've been coming here for 7+ years and have never been disappointed!! It's not amazing Chinese food but it always manages to satisfy.

Been here a few times. Figured I would finally give them my thoughts. Just your average Chinese sit down. Food was average and so was the service. Nothing that wowed me. Place is out dated and needs to be remodeled. Prices are fair and portions are good. I would go back.

This place uses msg and the food is stail. Not a place I would reccomend. Wen it was a good restraint 9 years ago they had big plates with a lot of food. Now they plates are tiny with barly even good on it. Bad place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
