Very clean! The food was great too! Husband got a shrimp cheese fish sub and I got the shrimp cheesesteak. Dee-lish!! Only downfall was the cheesecake. While husband's red velvet cheesecake was pretty good, the plain was flavorless, with a gritty/grainy bite to it, and it seemed 'wet' in the middle (I could only tolerate one bite)...maybe it was just a bad batch. Nevertheless, the food was awesome and I would eat here again!

I'm not gonna lie, I decided to come here because of the name. I do enjoy a good British children's lit pun! Not sure if it was intended, but they now have the English literature-lovers demographic on lock down! Captain Hook was manning the ship, in the form of a brusque lady at the counter who took my order. The other employees were perfectly nice. Note: there is a DRIVE THROUGH at this establishment, which is amazing. They also have an interior with tables and booths. I got a Greek salad, which was reasonably priced at $7, was a very large portion, and included two dolma, which was a nice surprise! Solid salad. I also had a gyro sandwich. It was good enough, but not particularly memorable. The meat was on the salty side, and I had some gristle/bone in mine, which I hate hate HATE. The tzatziki sauce was on the thicker side, and I enjoyed it. I would probably come here again for a quick lunch if I was in the neighborhood. They have a number of deli and pizza items on the menu in addition to the Greek things. There is a similar kabob/Mediterranean-style restaurant a couple blocks north across the street, which is probably the competition. This seems the quicker and more casual of the two, though.

Best deli in Parkville. Home made desserts are the best. Ask for the red velvet cheesecake.

Being in the mood for a really good gyro and not wanting to make the trek into Canton, I decided to look for something closer to my side of town. I found Pita Pan on Yelp and decided to give it a go. I decided to eat in and ordered the gyro which was accompanied by a salad with Greek dressing and fries. The restaurant was neat, appropriately furnished, and most of all---CLEAN! My gyro was served hot with a generous helping of Tzaziki sauce. The pita bread was very soft and buttery. The fries were also served hot. The salad was plentiful but the dressing was served in a small container. This was not a problem because, surprisingly, it was enough for the salad. They serve other things here like pizza and an assortment of sandwiches. It may be a while before I try any of their other offerings since this is my new spot for tasty gyros. My meal, including a 20 oz fountain drink totaled $11.43 not including tip.

What kind of pita place doesn't have falafel on the menu? This one. After having my falafel dreams dashed, I begrudgingly settled on a tuna sub. I don't even remember what my boyfriend ordered. But neither of our meals was impressive. Subpar food, subpar service, subpar location. And the name makes me roll my eyes so far back into my head that I can see my brain. We only came here because we were in the area and desperate for food. We won;t make that mistake again.

I ate there for the first time this week. I had the traditional gyro with fries and it was delicious!! The food was piping hot and flavorful. The only thing I didn't like is they charge $1.00 for refills on drinks. I'll definitely be back...just won't get a refill!

So I was in the gyro mood since I recently moved from philly and have had great gyros there. This place was just okay. The fries were tasty, but the chicken gyro lacked flavor. The chicken had no seasoning on it at all- not even salt or pepper and that was evident! The sauce over powered the gyro, but that was even mediocre. However, the portion was nice and plentiful! Prices are a reasonable as well. My husband enjoyed the red velvet cheesecake which was HUGE!! Lastly, the service sucked but there could have been a language barrier and cultural differences. Overall, decent but far from great! Can't say I will return, but we will see.

Not only was the food pushing inedible (how do you mess up a turkey sandwich so badly?), but the service was also horrible. I was so pissed off by my experience I was moved to write a yelp review, something I never do. The second I finished eating, the cashier told me to leave. He said to get out. They weren't busy, there was only one other occupied table. It was inexplicable, bizarre, and rude. This place isn't deserving of your business, and it won't get mine again. There's no reason to stop in.

Three stars for a carry out place is good for me. We live in the area and we go to Pita Pan for carry-out. The service is a bit odd. We found out that even if you call ahead, they don't have it ready by the time you get there because they wait to put the fries down in the fryer until you arrive. Actually, it takes a little longer, but the fries are still hot when we get home, so I don't mind the wait. I get gyros and fries and they are not bad. They are not great like Parthenon's in Madison, WI, but for carry out near home, they are good. Lots of meat and onions and tzatziki sauce. The pita is good too - not dried out like you sometimes get. Got the cheesecake once and it wasn't bad at all.

Huge salads, delicious Greek dressing, yummy tzatziki sauce, very clean, nice booths, and easy parking. Four stars!

Greek pizza was pretty good. Simple and well balanced. What I don't like is the service. The older gentleman who took my phone order was very short and not friendly (but not mean either I guess). All he said was: "Yes what you want. Greek pizza? Ok bye..." *Click*. Didn't say how long it would take, didn't say thank you, but I guess it's whatever as long as the food is good. He seemed a little nicer in person. English was not his first language. Pizza was good enough to try again..

The rating says it all. "Meh...I've had better." The place is very clean. The sandwich fell apart, meat was dry, fries were just...meh. Nothing ground-breaking in there. Certainly not worth a return trip.

Certainly not a bad place to pick up a bite to eat along Harford Road. The menu features a variety of typical sub/sandwich fare, as well as a few pasta dishes, pizza, and a limited Greek selection. I've yet to be disappointed by my go to order- the tuna melt. I was also recently impressed by the veggie burger sub; surprisingly hearty and very tasty. The main drawback of the establishment is the service- at times employees may seem annoyed at taking your order, but overall they are quick and efficient. Helpful hint: Don't pull into the drive thru without having called and placed an order, it definitely won't make the employees' day.

The gyros are very big and tasty. Tzatziki is fresh and flavorful and pita was grilled to perfection. This restaurant is immaculate, much nicer on the inside than I was expecting. Service was meh. The woman taking our order looked angry and mean and was not friendly at all. She lightened up a little when she brought our food to our table, but seemed upset when we didn't want to take home left over fried potato wedges. Come here for a quick delicious and reasonably cheap gyro, but don't expect warm and fuzzies from the staff.

Awsome Gyros. As good as someting you would get down in Greek town. Staff is very friendly. Spanikopita (spinich pie) is made in house along with some other specialties and they are all delicious. Desserts are also delicious. Great local spot and probably the cleanest take out place I have ever gone to. Usualy we get take out but they have lots of tables that are very clean looking. They have a drive up window for picking up call in orders and tons of parking.

I love this place! It's got amazing sandwiches, and the staff is always friendly...... A little bit of a language barrier with the Greek guy, but he's still awesome! I highly recommend the Rubin, and the ultimate cheese steak.... And you can never go wrong with gravy fries.

I stopped in earlier to get some takeout for lunch. I ordered the grilled chicken gyro, fries, and salad. The total was just under $9 and was a serious amount of food for one person! The staff was really friendly and I received my order quickly. The dining area is kind of small, but they made use of the space really well. It's also much nicer than you would think for a renovated fast food drive-thru (KFC or Taco Bell.... I can't remember). I'm a bit picky about my Greek food since I was spoiled by a great Mediterranean place in Atlanta. I ordered my gyro with only chicken and sauce because I'm weird and my food was correct... and delicious! The chicken was really tasty. The Tzatziki sauce had some bits of grated cucumbers that I wasn't anticipating and were a bit distracting. Oh and the pita bread was so fresh and tasty! The fries were good but nothing special. I was so stuffed from the gyro and fries that I didn't even have room for the salad. Like the fries, it looks good but seems pretty standard. I will definitely be back again for another gyro!

Really sad that the service here is TERRIBLE.... and that's a huge understatement. Not only was my order completely messed up but I was told it was not their fault I got the wrong food and given attitude when i asked for a refund. What a joke. Would totally patronize this business again if it wasn't for the crappy service, the food is actually pretty decent.

Harford Road Rules - thanks to places like Pita Pan. I know, it's just three stars. But, three stars means A-OK. And that is saying a lot. I like the gyros, the cheese steaks, and the fries. They are open late. They have a drive thru. Booths & bar height tables. This place is clean! Big props to them for pride in their corner of the world. There are some negatives - service can be ... strange. The pizza is pretty bad. The desserts look worth trying, but I have not yet. All in all - we come back. And that is sayin A LOT.

I absolutely love this place! The owners are so friendly, the food is amazing, especially the gyros! The salads are large and very filling. For $9 you can get a gyro, fries, and a salad! Can't beat that! My co-workers and I frequent this place often. Very clean, service is fast, and the food is great!

This is one of my spots for great "to go" food. From the Chicken Gyro to the Italian Cold Cut - variety is pretty expansive and tasty. If you're in the mood for something heavier, try the Chicken Parmigiana w/garlic bread (yum). One of my favs is the Grilled Chicken Club - great fix for the midday lunch rush. I have a special addiction to anything sweet and the baked goods, made mostly by the owner's daughter are delicious!

Very friendly staff and the place was really clean. My tuna sub was alright, and my fries were also just alright. For $9 (sub, fries, soda) it seemed a little steep, but in a pinch I'd eat here again.

Service was great and the place is spotless! We had the grilled chicken gyro with salad and fries and it was delicious! For having alot of greek cuisine, the decor was a little confusing, but hey....who cares! The food and service were amazing, and I will definitely be coming back.

They certainly can prepare a good lamb gyro. The chicken gyro is also excellent. The dining room and washrooms are clean. Pity that the Greek menu is so limited. Without rice, not sure this really qualifies as a Greek restaurant. Spanikopita was OK. Salad was nothing to write home about. Wish there was more here...

As other reviewers have mentioned the place is very clean and the service is fairly quick (although not overly friendly, just efficient). Their gyros are fantastic, as are their wraps and sandwiches. Many of their menus items are in the $6-7 dollar range and you get a lot of food for that. If you're looking for a quick, light lunch they are definitely worth stopping by to check out.

Have gone back a few times since. This place is going to be a regular as long as they are around, which I hope is a long time. I had a craving the other day after a bike ride (on NCR trail). I called (quickly) from the car and picked up. If you are local you have to swing by here, if you are on 695 take the exit, its worth the detour. They still have that busy menu, but don't get distracted, dive straight into the Greek Items!

Very clean- great for carryout or dine in. First time there I was expecting a a carryout only place. Dining area is nice too. I'll have to remember them next time I am out late and want a quick bite.

I live close and so wish this place was better. The chicken gyros are pretty good. The place is spotlessly clean. The overall vibe is what keeps me from going back. The service is efficient but not friendly or happy.

Wow! They actually carve real gyros meatloaf from a broiler. In parkville! For cheap! Real GRYOS! This is a near-by oasis. I don't have to go down to Eastern ave to get gyros anymore! Oh and the fries are perfect, and the place is s.p.o.t.l.e.s.s! You have to pronounce it ji-rows like the Baltimore natives, even tho I KNOW it's pronounced heerose in the more "Greeky" areas. I'm sure everything else is very good too. Updates later

This place is tough to review. On one hand, their gyros are very good--generous and meaty. On the other hand, the service at this place is awful. The older heavy gentleman who frequently takes orders is unhappy and not the least bit welcoming. The look on his face when he takes your order says "how dare you come into my restaurant". English is not his first language and tonight he messed up my order for the second time. The rest of the employees look like the don't want to be there. They've lost my business.

very good gyros. Liked the pizza as well. Tasty crab pretzel. friendly staff, clean place. reasonably priced.

I give it five stars because I search out Spinach pie and it is the best I have ever had! I am officially obsessed.....not as good as Mastellones meatball sub but close. All of the food is good! I wish they would focus on their amazing greek food also and add falafel. There is nowhere to get a good falafel on the Harford road corridor.

Went for the real Gyros found frozen ones from Kronos chicken only cooked on grill. Had posters for Kronos in the window. Was just ok. Lady who waited on me didn't know what a smile was. I'd just move on!

  • Mark C.

I agree with the previous reviewer they really should cut down on the menu and focus on the really good Greek styled food they offer. I'm a big fan of the gyros (both chicken and meat) and they offer a great value for the money. The staff is wonderful and I've never had a bad meal here. Give it a shot, you (hopefully) won't be let down.
