Another great breakfast with Kate today. Sandy the cook is the best. I usually order the All American breakfast, which consists of 2 eggs, meat, breakfast potatoes and toast! Although Kevin is my normal server Saturday mornings, she remembered my order to the tee. I recommend 1/2 price burger nite on Thursday and blackened pork chops any nite. The chops will blow you away! Thank Carl and the crew! #ronmadmax
If you come in for lunch and see a guy in a baseball cap sitting in the corner it's me. Say hi. I am here way to often
You can never go wrong at Jerry D's! Mom and I each got the soft-shell crab sandwich (which was awesome)! and we split a side of gravy fries. Also their cream of crab soup is excellent. The portions are large but not overwhelming and there is plenty of parking. Can't wait to go back!

It's a great place just to run in and grab a quick cup of coffee. The people are nice and they're eager to please. It's also a very clean DD. Love the place. They deserve all of the the 5 star reviews they receive.
There's no drive thru and my entire experience was pretty troubling. Either the girl was a mute or a grade A asshole. She did not greet me or say goodbye. I said "thank you, have a nice day." She simply handed me my receipt. Extremely rude people here, I won't return
I stopped in here to redeem a coupon for a coffee. The place was packed on a Friday morning. Even though the line was long, the two ladies working at the counter were like machines! I thought it would take a while for me to get to the counter, but they herded us through in no time! The woman who took my order had my coffee to me in less than 30 seconds. She was even talking really fast while taking my order (she probably had a few coffees that morning)! The place was pretty nice inside. It was a little trendy and different than the standard DD. The coffee was very good as usual.

I love their naked wings and all of their sauces! The delivery service is awesome, however, the inside is not much to look at and walking in and ordering takes a little bit of time.
They have great wings, which is good considering it's in their name. They also have a crabcake sandwich that is also very, very good. It's seasoned well and cooked thoroughly. I've ordered from them a few times and the only complaint I have is that they don't always communicate delays in delivery. Usually, they can deliver within an hour. The last time I ordered, it took 2 hours and I didn't get any communication as to what caused the delay or anything. I was getting ready to cancel my order when they showed up because I was starting to think they weren't coming. The food was still hot, so it worked out. My guess is that they fell behind with orders and were in a mad scramble. Of the four times we've ordered delivery from them though, they've always been within the hour. I will most likely order from them again in the near future.
Amazing wings. Nice and big, try the golden BBQ or old bay. Their meatball sub was fantastic too.

I have lived about 200 yards from Giovanna's for over 15 years, and yesterday I finally set foot in their place. It is exactly what you should picture in your head when someone says mom & pop pizza place. First it smells heavenly, second its cozy & clean. (It also has a nice little outdoor patio). Ordered a plain cheese pizza, (my wife has made choices about what she will and won't eat, which I sometimes have to suffer through. No meat on our pizza), I liked it. Also, I like my pizzas well done. Often times the restaurants can't seem to understand this request. They got it just right. The menu looks like something I can spend the next couple of years working my way through. I gotta say living in Parkville just keeps getting better and better. Thanks Giovanna's.
We've been delighted with the pizza (regular and white), the ziti, the Gorilla sandwich, their lovely deviled eggs, but most surprising was the nice side salad with the BEST dressing (Parmesan peppercorn, I think) So so so good. Their cannoli and cake are also delicious. We eat a LOT of pizza, and this has replaced all other restaurants in our pizza rotation. We make sure to plan the week to avoid pizza cravings on Sunday, since Giovanna's is closed. Everyone who works here is friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
Hate to leave a bad review. Ordered the Baked Ziti and an order of Chicken fingers. Baked Ziti was possibly the worst i've ever had. Sauce was "different" - a bit spicy, not sweet or cheesy at all, and pasta was unimpressive. Overall a lifeless dish. Chicken was good. Good amount of breading and decent quality chicken. We'll give them another try for their pizza. Will be looking elsewhere for pasta in the area!

CAJUN CHICKEN, INDIAN TACO and WAFFLE-CHICKEN! DECOR: From the outside, you cannot make out that there is a restaurant behind the door. It actually looks like a garage or a storage unit. In fact the waiter told us that this place used to be a storage unit for some grocery store and the restaurant was a part of this store (as a take-away counter). The interior is strange. I don't mean that its dirty or untidy. Hard to describe, you have to form your own opinion :). At 12:30 pm, this place was totally empty. The neighborhood seems deserted too. FOOD: The food was undoubtedly tasty. We ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Indian Taco and both these items were very good. The proportion was good too. SERVICE: Excellent is what I have to admit. Initially we had ordered the Waffle and Chicken after reading it's reviews on Yelp. However though this is a Breakfast/Brunch item, it was not ready at 12:30 pm (that's the time we visited this restaurant). The waiter told us that the Chef inside was still preparing the batter, so they won't be able to serve us the Waffle-Chicken. The waiter was very polite and asked us to order alternate items. However, as we were about to check out, the waiter served us the Waffle-Chicken. He mentioned that it was a complimentary item from the Chef and insisted that we take it home. We found this very courteous and very nice of them. PRICE: Reasonable.
Best meal I have had in a long time. Top notch service. Very personal experience. Everyone was so pleasant and inviting. Each course was served with enough time to enjoy. We felt totally comfortable taking as much time as we wanted to. It was a true culinary experience. And I think it's BYOB?
We ordered several small plates including the jerk wings, chicken and waffle, Mac and crab rolls. Also the kids Mac and beignet desert. I loved the jerk chicken and kids Mac. The staff was friendly and it was clean and comfortable. The negatives: I didn't like the Mac and crab rolls. They ran out of Pepsi and forgot to take my 1/2 off appetizer coupon but, it was corrected.

good pizza, good salads good service, great place to take the kids. (they have milk too!) and prices are reasonable. Haven't had anything else on the menu....so only 4 stars for now. There are only two places I go for pizza, and pasta mista is the other one, but on the balance, MLDF is a bit better.
Mama has been our regular pizza and pasta spot for years. The pizza is fresh and has slight pleasantly surprising nuanced differences from time to time, sometime more hints of basil and others with a bit of heat. The staff is fantastic and the environment is very welcoming for families. In the summer, the front porch has live music which draws a solid crowd. Highly recommended.
My parents joined us and we were all pretty happy with the food. You order at the counter and then listen for your number over the P.A. system. The back room has a big screen TV and there's a nice sized deck with tables outside (but you're just overlooking a shopping center parking lot). Pizza by the slice and calzones are sitting at the counter. This always worries me a bit. These things have dairy in them and it's not clear how long they've been sitting out. Nevertheless, the cheese pizza looked newish and I went for it. The huge slice had good tasting cheese although the sauce was not distinctive. The house salad had surprising variety with red pepper strips and mushrooms (neither of which I like, but I applaud their effort). The fries were hot and plentiful. The kids mac & cheese was better than Kraft, served with a white Alfredo sauce. My wife thought the spinach calzone was pretty good, but another in our party loved their stromboli. Overall, a good place with a lot of variety on the menu.

The lunch buffet was great. I walked out very full and happy. If you haven't had Persian food before, the buffet is a fun way to try a bunch of different dishes. The interior is nice and the staff were very friendly- they gave us free tea! I love its location on that little strip in Parkville. The bread and salads were a light and tasty start. I liked the crispy rice with carrots. The soup was ok but not my favorite. I ate all four of the meats: chicken, fish, beef, and lamb. The fish was fried and had a nice sauce. The beef was delicious, probably the highlight for me. The beef is cooked in a sauce with big preserved lemons- edible, but stuffed with bitter herbs. Overall, I recommend!
Staff was very rude after I went in for takeout tonight at 7:45 p.m.. They weren't supposed to close until 8:30 p.m. and I was left standing at the back register for 10 minutes before I was told, "Sorry, the grill is closed!" (This after they passed by me as if I didn't exist.). I told him, "The guy just told you that, and I've been standing here for 10 minutes now.". I was told, "Sorry, I can't help you.". They offered me anything from some menu I wanted nothing from, so I left, and I shall NEVER RETURN!
Delicious!! Very friendly server & the food was very good! I tried the tuna steak & lamb shank & everything including the rice & veggies were cooked perfectly!

I think that you will struggle to find a better place in this area!! Orange Crushes are awesome. Cream of Crab Fries are huge and taste amazing! Pot Pie....well. you have to see it to believe it! I left my Credit card in the envelope when I paid my bill. I called the next morning and the owner answered the phone. He verified all of the information and let me come by before they opened to pick it up. Great Guy!
Like another reviewer, my expectations of this place weren't super high. But, the location was convenient for people coming from multiple areas and I had heard good things. We sat in the dining area as opposed to the bar, and it's kind of a blah room with not much going on. Would definitely sit in the bar next time. Service was pretty quick and the bill was pretty low so both good things! We were there on pot pie night (Thursday). For $9, you get a pretty giant bowl with like a full sheet of puff pastry on top. The pot pie looks huge (as you can tell from the picture) and it is pretty giant but the bowl of pot pie filling wasn't as big as it looked and was kind of like mashed potatoes instead of standard pot pie filling. Mashed potatoes are delicious though, so, minimal complaints there. I tried some, and it needed a bit more seasoning but was good. I got a side Caesar salad (not good at all, the house salad looked substantially better) and the cheese pizza. The pizza was kind of Ledo's-esque (thin crust, square-ish), and was really good. There isn't much parking but you can park in the lot at the building across the street after office hours.
I would recommend this place to everyone. The food is awesome and the service is great.

I've been frequenting this place for many years and it's a hometown favorite. They have a very wide selection of sandwiches and although they're all pretty good I'd have to say that the San Martino and Deniro (no longer on the menu but I still ask for it) are two of my more frequent choices. Sometimes they are a little heavy handed on the sauces so if you don't care for that you should ask for it on the side. Their Boars head meats are great!! I haven't had a chance to try many of the sides since I'm usually too full after the hearty sandwich and a bag of Zapp's chips, but they all look pretty good. I'll get there one of these days! I wash it all down with a bottle of San Benedetto (it's really sweet but feels like a treat on a hot summer day). They just added an extension not too long ago and started offering pizza, which I hear is good so I will be going to there soon to find out for myself! It's not a huge space but it's a stand alone building that offers ample seating for you and a couple of your buddies. Customer service is either a hit or miss, but I come for the sandwiches! If the older guy (I think his name is Joe) is there, he's hilarious and will probably throw a few jokes your way. Service can be a little lagging at times, but you'll have plenty of things to browse through in their little shop area with all sorts of different treats.
I ordered delivery since I'm the only person working at my place. The woman on the phone didn't sound so happy, I think she was busy and probably a bit annoyed that I called at the wrong time. Sorry! I ordered the half Leonardo and the half Philly Cheese Steak subs with 1 small fries with gravy. The order came in about 20-25 minutes which was fast! Let's get to the point. Philly Cheese Steak was generic. It was forgettable. Everything from the toppings to the meat was bland. There was a lot of meat but it all tasted bland. Thankfully I got the gravy on the side and when dipped, flavor came around! The Leonardo was good though. Plenty of brisket with veggies and bourbon sauce. Sweet, tasty, and lots of good meat. The only con I had about this was that the veggies were overcooked to the point where there's no nutrition in em. The fries were seasoned! Yay! They tasted pretty good and even better in the gravy. From the service to the food, I thought it was alright overall. I'll order again this week and see how it goes then make an update! Till then!
The food and service are wonderful. The employees are always friendly and attentive. They make the best pizza in town. The subs are great and we enjoy the various deli items too!

Always awesome at Jerry D's! The best pork chops in Parkville! I'll have to take one home!
We stopped here for a beer last night. I've walked past Jerry D's a bunch of times and finally stopped in. The place is a lot larger than it looks on the outside. It has really high ceilings, and it was bright and clean inside. The bar is pretty long. The Miller Lite was as good as it is anywhere else. The prices are very reasonable - a draft beer was a little over $2. Our bartender was very friendly and didn't bother us too much. It's definitely a good place to hang out, talk, and relax. It wasn't rowdy at all. It reminds me of a friendly neighborhood bar.
My favorite restaurant in Patkville. Don't go expecting anything fancy. It has a neighborhood feeling without the frills. The food is delicious and plentiful. For the price you can't beat Jerry D's. The servers are the best and they have my iced tea on the table when I sit down. The beer and drink prices are the best in the area. Say hi to Carl the owner when you arrive and tell him Larry and mark sent you
