"That's what I call a New York joint" said Jim Morrison after having a toothpick-sized doobie thrown at him on stage in New York. "You can pick your teeth with a New York joint!". Substitute ice cream cone for the word joint, and you have my review. It was a nice day, we wanted ice cream, and everyone knows ice cream tastes best at a parlor, out doors, on a sunny day. We both ordered cones. Me-pistachio, and her-butter pecan. The scoops were so small I jokingly asked clerk if they were "kiddie cones", to which she replied-No. The actual flavor was very good, but I noted a lot air whipped into the ice cream, which is of course, easier to scoop, but the end result is that the customer doesn't end up with much ice cream!!...especially when you get a measly Ping-Pong ball-sized scoop! $3.50 for a single scoop is highway robbery as far as I'm concerned. I'll continue to look for a good, honest scoop of ice cream, as the summer heats up-baby won't you light my fire!
