Me and my boyfriend ordered crab rangoons, broccoli n beef and sweet n sour chicken. Taking in to consideration that I'm from California, it was pretty good. It's hard to find good Authentic Chinese food up here!! Deliver wasn't too bad, it took about 45 minutes. My boyfriend liked the beef and broccoli and said we had good luck for choosing this place!! N my sweet n sour was pretty good considering that they had the puffs. I've only had that since I've been on the east coast. But overall pretty yummy and large portions for the prices!!

This is a take-out place, there isn't much space for sitting. They do delivery and you can order online from their website or grubhub (for either pickup or delivery). I love this place because their food is always good and I'm never disappointed with my order.

In the area on a business trip. Reasonable price and tasty food. Ordered their orange chicken and a small won ton soup. The won tons were just right and they came with fried noodle pieces to add to the soup. The broth was flavorful, but not salty. The orange chicken had a nice subtle zip underneath the pungent tanginess of the sauce. Served with steamed rice that was close to the epitome of sticky. All in all a great experience and a surprise. I saw the place on a cab ride back to my hotel and decided to check it out. It is a hole-in-the-wall which gave me confidence going in. The price was very reasonable ($13) and I have leftovers in my fridge for tomorrow.

I order from here all the time. Pan Fried Meat Dumplings are pretty good. Eggrolls could be better, but not the worst I've had. Very good fried rice.

I've ordered from this place a few times. I really like that they have online ordering, the food is always pretty good and they deliver quickly. So why one star? Because I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THIS PLACE! I ordered pork fried rice and chicken wings last week and when I opened up the pork fried rice it smelled kind of off, but I put it out of my mind (I know...I KNOW! Even worse, I went to culinary school, i've been trained in food safety and have a food safety certificate (Servsafe), I know what to look for when it comes to food poisoning! ) and ate it. The worst part is that I ordered at 11 am, opening time, which means that the food was old and not fresh. I woke up the next morning feeling like a big bag of shit, I would get contraction like pain every few minutes that would have me doubled over in pain-It was awful and I wasn't feeling tip-top for about 2 days. I really liked this place, I liked the online ordering especially because I like to avoid human interaction whenever possible, but food poisoning is a one strike you're out type of deal. No thanks!

Eh. I won't make the trip again unless I'm already in that area and extremely hungry. It's a carryout so my expectations, thankfully, weren't high. I ordered the chicken with black bean sauce & pan fried noodles (one of my favorite dishes when done right). Even AFTER soaking in the sauce the block of noodles that came packaged were hard enough to chip a tooth! #WhereDeyDoDatAt. That's rude as hell to sell someone a virtual weapon and tell em eat it. The "beef" had to be the cheapest cut of meat one could find. Very a la carryout. The chicken and black bean sauce didn't have many black beans in it so the flavor was lost and the sauce was more brown than the black color I"m used to. The chicken was a chewey texture that made it really hard to tell what the animal was when it was alive. But I looked on the menu and yep, now that it's dead, they have declared it chicken! That being said, I'm hard to please when it comes to Asian food, even street fare. I've lived in and traveled extensively in Asia and still prefer the American version to the "real deal". What can I say, born and raised in the states. However, it has to be a really good American version to make me travel more than two steps for it. The chicken was mediocre at best and those damn noodles were a hood rat's revenge at worst (I've seen a brick go through a window lighter than those noodles hit my tummy). If I'm starving and it's open...I'd do it again with another dish.

I ordered from here twice and each time it lived up to my expectations. Delivery was fast, pricing is excellent and non of my orders were done wrong unlike other places I ordered from. I always order their fish sub which is delicious (in my opinion). I use to live in baltimore city and this restaurant is as close to what I use to get when I was at home. They get 5 stars because #1 did not have to get the delivery driver directions, #2 food was always good and always hot, #3 when I use "grubhub" my orders were exactly as I placed them,.

General Tsaos Chicken was awful and I'm not certain it was even chicken. Probally won't be ordering here again.

Monsignor and I decided to give this place a chance cuz I love pan-fried noodles and very few take out places in the area have pan-fried noodles on the menu. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls which were light, delicate, and non-greasy. $1.20 for one is a bit steep in my opinion but they were of dimsum quality. The cabbage could have been chopped a little finer, as after the first bite, most of the filling comes out. But very good. The free eggroll (after $15) was "scrumptious" as well, according to the Monsignor. The combination pan-fried noodles were also tasty. Not the quality of sit down restaurants, like Noodle King in Silver Spring (which has the best pan-fried noodles in the area), but Red Ginger is delivery, so expectations are, of course, different. The shrimp, chicken, beef, and roast pork were in a good sauce with veggies. The pan-fried noodles were packed separately to ensure crispiness. They were crispy but hard to tear apart. If I were to order this dish next time, I'd actually plate it, in order to mix the sauce and noodles. All in all, good. The General Tso's chicken was surprisingly good. I usually don't understand why the Monsignor orders General Tso's. It's my ABC snobbery but this was much better than expected. The meat was white, from what I could tell. The chicken was crispy and tender. The sauce wasn't too sweet nor too viscous. It was surprisingly delicate. We ordered this super spicy. I agree with the previous reviewer that the rice was pretty mushy. The delivery took only 30 minutes for a Tuesday night. We'd definitely order again. UPDATE--01/01/10 Monsignor and I had a Chinese takeout Christmas feast. We ordered the Black Bean chicken, Ma Po Tofu, and got some chicken fried rice for free. All were very good!

I tried this place even though I was skeptical because I was needed food deliver due to the inclement weather. I was sorely disappointed. It didn't taste like anything. I could have made better fried rice myself. Do yourself a favor - eat some Cheerios and save your $$. UPDATE - I've driven past the actual restaurant and seeing it alone was enough to cement the fact that I shouldn't have eaten from there. ijs.

Don't eat here! Opened my shrimp fried rice and a dead roach was in the container. They need to shut this place down!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
