This place is great! Very friendly staff, very tasty and affordable food. I love that they have a lot of specials and combos. Don't forget to order one of their delicious bubble teas. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food and a friendly atmosphere.

This place is great! I just started to eat more Gluten Free and love that I can get Pho and enjoy it at the same time. I like the fact that they have two broths to choose from with a traditional beef broth and a vegetable broth for those looking for a vegan version. I have been eat Pho a bunch lately and would definitely come back as the price is comparable to all the other Pho places I go and I can use credit card instead of cash only. I like fact that they have a customer loyalty card also so it brings you back for those freebies. check them out if your looking for a good meal.

Came back because I was craving a banh mi sandwich and boba; however the menu has changed. We ordered the BBQ pulled pork banh mi. I really should have asked prior if this was the same as regular Southern style "pulled pork" because it wasn't until I took my first bite that I realize, it was in fact. The taste combination was way too weird for me. I also ordered a taro boba tea. It was not bad; however, I think they crushed too much ice and could have added more of the taro flavor. Just a note: we took our order to go and OMG, did it stink up the car! :X Overall, I thought the sandwich was too much of a "fusion" style and definitely overpriced. The size of the banh mi is even smaller than traditional banh mi sandwiches. I do not plan on going back.

Best Vietnamese food ever. Reasonable prices, great friendly service! Please try it! I tried the rice noodle soup, the beef was very good and the pulled prk sandwich.

"Fast casual" Vietnamese food. Everything was OK, but certainly not dazzling and really not all that authentic. This place works in a pinch and if you are looking to satisfy a craving, but it's definitely not a destination dinner kind of place.

Tried Phubs this afternoon. I couldn't be happier. My wife and I walked in and were hacking out the menu off to the side. The young lady taking orders could tell we were taking a lot in and she let us get our bearings. When we finally decided to order the staff was nice as could be. The food was amazing. We both got pho and sub combos. The pho straight blew my mind. It was so good. Then the steak sub on a banquette was equally awesome. I thought it was expensive till I saw the portions. We're definitely going back to Phubs.

We have been looking for a good place to have pho and this is it! The bowls are large and they even have a little bar where you can pick your own vegetables. Every other pho place is so stingy! The to-go boxes turn into bowls which is very cool! If you want pho go here!!

Nice staff, clean restaurant, excellent food. I had the vegetable pho (vegan friendly) and it was very well seasoned and delicious...wish it had more leafy greens, but still 5 stars! My family loved their pho, spring rolls, and pork rice bowl. We're used to thin slices of beef in the mixed beef pho but theirs had awkward thick slices, but an excellent complex broth. Fixings bar needed more attention but was fun to be able to get what we wanted. We tried to eat out front but the hair salon next door had their door open and it smelled like perm solution, so we sat inside. It's loud despite only 3 other tables occupied, so the crazy loudish rock music was adding unnecessary background noise. I'm sure they would have turned it down if I'd asked, they were friendly and accommodating! I will definitely return.

Great Triple Threat Beef Pho! Everything was fresh, fast, and delicious. Their Summer Rolls were excellent as well. Topped it off with a Coconut Bubble Tea. Definitely coming back.

The veggie pho was great. Typically most veggie pho has a broccoli or two. Thiers was loaded up with all sorts of vegetables. The sandwich was fantastic too.

First off... Super over priced Banh Mi's! Almost $8 for 1 and they don't even make Dac Biet (traditional sandwich)I'd rather eat at Potbelly n get a few extras for the same price. The sandwich itself isn't bad yet its nothing to write home about. I've tried the sesame chicken and the grilled pork both are decent but obviously has an american twist to them. What disappoints me is that they don't use pates (ground meat or liver spread) in the sandwiches here! If you're into banh mi as much as I am and you have a taste for authentic unamericanized dishes skip this joint. A cheaper n more authentic spot is only a few miles from here I'd highly recommend. I'm not at all nor have I ever been associated with Pho One-O before they opened but I'd recommend their banh mi's at half the price over this place. - Just an Angelonian that loves good eats!

The Pho is okay and worth the price, but it's not really impressive. The staff are nice, service is fairly quick and everything is pretty much a self serve experience. However, overall the food leaves a "meh" drowning in the back of your mind. On my visits, the Pho was served luke warm and chilled in about 5-8 minutes, compared to other Pho restaurants I've eaten at, this was really a disappointing point. I don't want a scalding bowl, but I don't want to have to rush to enjoy a meal before it gets cold. Sometimes certain ingredients -like the carrots- were still a bit raw or just sliced too thick, wasn't a big fan of certain ingredients (mainly because I wasn't used to them from other Pho restaurants) I like the fact that you can get your own condiments (I love adding a lot sprouts to my Pho), but on a couple of my visits, the condiment bar was really lacking. The summer rolls were pregnant. Literally. They were overstuffed. I loved it! It made it a little difficult to eat, but they were still really good. Downside, the fountain drink machine was usually "damaged" and the water would mix with the juice.

I wasn't even aware that we had a Vietnamese restaurant in Hanover until I saw a Groupon advertising Phubs- I dove on that deal yesterday like a pigeon on a French fry, and decided to take my son to dinner there tonight (6/24/14). First, it's conveniently situated in a shopping center close to the Arundel Mills mall, so it's very accessible to those that live in the Severn, Hanover, Odenton corridor, and much closer than the nearest Vietnamese establishments Columbia, Laurel or Gambrills. The restaurant is new, clean and nicely decorated, and my only suggestion regarding the atmosphere is that they rethink the music choice- Tonight's choice sounded like a Pandora Radio mix of Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix, which is a fun choice for late night bar hopping, but not really well-matched with the quietly simple Zen decor and Asian food. Music should be a complimentary "background" addition, rather than a loud centerpiece that detracts from decor, food and the ability to hold a conversation...Perhaps some easy listening or maybe instrumental music would be better suited. The employees were great! The manager was extremely friendly and helpful, and he was training a new employee on how to take our order and process the Groupon- Even with the training, the ordering process was quick and easy. We ordered the Summer Rolls, Coconut Bubble Tea, the #10 Maxxx Chicken BBQ Bahn Mi, and the #5 Beef Pho (this has ALL the delicious beef bits...brisket, flank, round steak, tripe, and tendon). I also added a poached egg and vegetables**Take Note!** ADD THE VEGETABLES FOR THE EXTRA $1.50! It's a wonderful (yet inexpensive) addition of gently steamed mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes, watercress, celery and Bok Choy- Totally worth it and adds another layer of flavor and texture. My only suggestion for an addition to the menu would be to add Tofu as a protein choice for the Pho (for those who want a healthier alternative to meat, but want more than just a veggie soup). Regarding past reviews of lukewarm/cold/bland broth, I will say that Phubs must have gotten it together fast, because the food was on-point tonight! The broth was steaming hot and well-seasoned, and my son said the Bahn Mi was "epic" (his words). The Pho "fixings" Bar was well-stocked with crisp bean sprouts, freshly washed sprigs of mint, basil and cilantro, along with sliced jalapeños and juicy limes. There was also the usual assortment of fish sauce, Sriracha, hoisin, soy sauce and crushed peanuts. I'm not saying that the Pho/Bahn Mi is in the same caliber as some you'd find in DC, New York, San Francisco etc., but for the BWI corridor, it's pretty damn good! Save your gas money and give Phubs a chance- This new little Vietnamese start-up is really trying hard to standardize and improve the staffing and menu, and I know they're going to develop into a good (if not great) local Vietnamese eatery! :-)

I thought the sandwich was pretty good.I thought they were a little stingy with the meat ,but it was good.Alot of vegetables to make you think you forgot about the stingy portion of meat.I give the sandwich a 3.5 and the .5 for the clean spot to make it 4 stars.

Went to Phubs with a friend. We both love food and have been searching for a good bahnmi spot that's not as far as Va. Unfortunately we haven't found it yet. What we ordered. Bbq pork bahnmi #4 pho Summer rolls The bahnmi wasn't what I expected. It was a bit soggy and the meat wasn't what I thought it would be. I love crispy pork for bahnmis and it was crispy at all. The summer rolls did have any flavor to it either. We didn't even finish eating them... So disappointed because I love summer rolls... Saving the worst for last, the pho. The broth had no flavor to it. Tasted like beef but no seasoning what's so ever. We had to ask for salt because no matter how much hoisin or saracha sauce we added it just didn't seem salty enough. Usually I don't like my food salty but I had to add the salt just to get myself not to waste an entire bowl of pho. In all honesty the broth for pho is crucial and I felt like they soaked meat in water... Or used unsalted beef broth. The self serve veggie bar was a nice idea but the bean sprouts were soaked in water and seemed a little sad. I do however like how the cilantro was picked off the stems. I'm an avid food eater but I don't think I'll be returning here. I wish there was something that I liked because it's in a nice location with lots of parking and the staff seemed nice as well.

There isn't a lot of selections and the food is kind of expensive for the taste - which is average compared to other restaurants out there. But it's not a bad little place. It's just nothing special either.

Nice surprise to find this great pho place, great both . I ordered the #5 was so good!

This is a review on their Banh Mi and Bubble Tea. The Banh Mi was a pretty big sandwich. I ordered the Citrus Sesame and the Maxxfit Super Sized Citrus Sesame banh mi, both pork on the baguette. I wasn't used to it being pork chop type of meat, which was a pleasant surprise. They also already put the pickled veggies and cilantro on it, which normally would be ok, but when it's togo like I ordered it should be put on the side to put on later. The Bubble Tea was ok. It is more of a smoothie than anything. Not a fan of the whipped cream either. I think the only thing that could pass it off as Bubble Tea is the tapioca in it. Not something I will order again.

This was my one and only Pho place to eat but their triple beef has become very skimpy. Not even half the meat that they used to serve. Feeling very sad.

Ok.. Went back the next day (sue me).. Yes they are a smidge expensive regarding the Bahn MI.. but here is the very best thing EVER.. Most Pho joints when you order carryout... Everything is separate.. Which is a good thing.. But the problem is what if I want to eat Pho at work? I don't have a bowl to fit this?? Here is the. Redeeming quality I have never EVER seen in my PHO eatn' LIFE! For carry out orders of Pho, the container *cardboard like material* can be used as a BOWL! How freaking awesome is THIS?? I'm so stoked! Also for the Bahn MI.. Some folks complaint.. the baguette is soggy.. Please remember ya have to eat it ASAP... Its like having tuna fish salad on toast.. If you don't eat it soon it's gonna get soggy.. So use common sense.. And Phub need to pay me for all this... Ooh yeah the condiments were a plenty, could have looked a smidge better... Ok that's all!

My friend kept hyping up this place, so I wanted to check it out for myself. I wasn't sure what to expect, but boy was my friend right. I have only been here one time, but I enjoyed every dish I ordered. I paid less than $10 for both pho and banh mi. I only ordered half of a sub, which I later regretted. I wish I ordered the full sub (banh mi), because it was absolutely delicious. I have a go to pho place in Virginia, and I'm kind of sad to admit that Phubs' pho is better! As far as the restaurant itself, Phubs is very laid back and chill. It's by no means fancy or anything. If I lived closer, I would probably eat here a lot (especially after a night out). The location is kind of random. It's very close to Arundel Mills Mall, but somewhat isolated. It's in a pavilion with other restaurants as well. Regardless, you should definitely try this place. The food is delicious and you can't beat the prices.

  • F S.

Haven't tried the pho, but here goes on the banh mi: 1) Overpriced for what you get ($7-$8+ for a sub and a drink). 2) Bread is not really toasted (on the soggy side). 3) Stuffed generously with meat and veggies (though no jalapeno, guess you could get your own jalapeno from the fixins' bar). 4) Very salty. 5) Veggies not pickled enough for my taste. The summer rolls were fresh and not packed with too much noodle filler, but the dipping sauce was way too heavy on the shrimp paste (and therefore incredibly salty). Good concept to have banh mi and pho in one location, but execution needs work. A good banh mi is all about the bread, well pickled veggies, and a good balance between sweet, salty, and spicy. The banh mi here only hits the salt taste buds.

I got the #4 triple threat beef pho, an order each of the shrimp and pork spring and summer rolls. Nothing I got disappointed. I got the small size and could barely finish it. So its safe that you get what you pay for and then some. We came for dinner so I had to try the pho. I can't wait to come here for lunch and try the subs.

Our go to hangover food. The pho is great and everyone is always nice. It's more of an order and take it home place but it always hits the spot!

Awesome pho & BBQ pork sandwich! I sampled the vegetarian broth & that was even good. Great family owned business with great customer service!!

  • Katherine S.

Not like the banh mi I'm used to. Veggies aren't as pickled and the sandwich isn't as spicy. But really nice people and the sandwiches do taste good. At least I don't have to go to Virginia.

Pho is good! Surprised! This isn't the typical pho place I've been to, feels like a fast food-ish place, fudruckers style, and seating is limited at lunch so either arrive before noon or after 12:30 to get a seat. Very satisfied with the quality of the broth and like that they don't load up the soup with cilantro and have a topping bar to let you load it up as little or as much as you want. Staff is very friendly!

I wanted to like this place. I really did but I had a few issues. 1. We couldn't get our food the way we wanted. My mom wanted pho with no meat and was told they couldn't do that...that made no sense to me, but whatever. I wanted the summer rolls with no pork but was told that I couldn't get that, because they were premade. 2. We settled on what would be pho tai at most places and an order of spring rolls. The rolls were rancid and tasted like they'd been sitting around all day. They took them back and bought out fresh ones. Why give people food that's been sitting around all day? 3. The pho. It's not good, but it does have potential. There's no weird funky flavors in the broth, but it's really bland. After I drowned it in sriracha it was good. The upside is that the manager/owner guy was really hot and stopped by and asked what they could do to improve. It seemed like he was really interested in making this place better. ...And it was also pretty cool that they had a fixings bar. The place has a lot of potential. They just need to tap into it.

  • Amanda S.

I really like this place! We were looking for some good banh-mi, and though their version was a bit different than what we were used to, it was really good! They offer chicken, pork, or beef in a few different sauces. My favorite is the BBQ Beef, though it can be a bit sweet. Some days the meats are too saucy and the baguettes they use get soggy, which is a bummer. I wish they toasted them, but maybe they would if you asked! Haven't tried the Pho.

I was hesitant to come here at first. I've had bad luck with pho places in Maryland and always have to drive to Virginia when I don't want to make it at home. Surprisingly this place was okay. I understand that they're new so they're probably still working on little kinks. The staff here were also very pleasant which is a plus.

If you are looking for a traditional and authentic taste of Vietnamese food, don't go to Phubs! Tried their pork and rice dish. The rice was cold and the pork tasted like it was left overs from the day before. What a disappointment.

  • Mitchell J.

Their portions are smaller than small. You slurp the noodles a couple times and guess what? There are no more noodles. Not much noodles. Not much meat. Not much service. But yeah, walk in when the servers have their lunch, their portions are HUGE. I mean. What is this??? You don't have to serve the portion that yo'll eat but at least have the decency to serve a meal. Why should I spend $8 to $9 for this? If you can spare the time try Pho Vn One if you are towards CP. Or if you are towards Ellicott City/ Catonsville, try Pho Van. I recommend both but Pho Van uses less MSG.

  • Sharleen P.

Excellent but pricey food is the short and simple. I love how they have a condiment bar so you get to determine how many bean sprouts, cilantro, jalapenos, etc. you want in your pho and food, which is the first time I've ever seen this thing for a pho/banh mi restaurant. The most important thing to worry about in pho restaurants is the pho broth, and Phubs' pho broth is fantastic every time I've went. The spring rolls are a bit small for the price, but they're also very good. One odd suggestion as well: Could you guys add chili in garlic oil and/or chili garlic sauce with the sriracha sauce?

  • Paul Y.

One word: Terrible. I thought the noodle place in the casino was bad, man... this place makes that crappy place look like a 5 star michelin establishment. Possibly the worst pho and bahn mi sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I was super excited when I saw a pho place opening up closer than Columbia, but to my dismay, I will have to continue driving to Columbia for a decent bowl of pho. It was worse since I had a friend visiting from NYC and this was the one meal I treated him to. I was so embarrassed we ended up going to Pot Belly's afterwards to finish off our lunch. Maybe it was because it was the grand opening, but everything from the service to the food was terrible. The cashiers had no knowledge of anything on the menu and everything was so overpriced. For those of you that don't know, a bahn mi sandwich usually costs around $3-4 and a bowl of pho at a restaurant usually runs about $7-8. On that day, I spent $30 for 2 bahn mi sandwiches, a bowl of pho, 3 spring rolls and 3 drinks. If it was half way decent, I wouldn't be as upset, but it was God awful. This isn't even a restaurant, you order at the counter and seat yourself! Now the food, the bahn mi sandwiches were tiny and skinny. Whatever bread they use, which I wasn't french bread, was not toasted at all. Bahn mi french bread is supposed to be crunchy/toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. I usually cut the roof of my mouth when I eat a bahn mi sandwich because of that fact, but I didn't need to worry about that this time. There are barely any ingredients (pickled cucumbers, carrots, cilantro) and they were very skimpy with the meat. The pho just sucked, terrible broth and the meat, or lack thereof, was diced into tiny pieces so it felt like you were eating like a kids meal. I could literally fit all the meat on a one spoon. It was pretty ridiculous. On the menu it tells you to pick the meats you want and they will portion it out based on the number of meats you select. But when I initially received it, it came with like a teaspoon full of meat. I sent it back asking where the rest of the meat was and they gave me about 3-4 more tiny pieces. I don't know what they do with their broth but it tasted like it was made out of straight cinnamon. I've had instant pho that tasted better than whatever they gave me. I had to pretty much douse my soup with siracha sauce to make it somewhat edible. The spring rolls that I purchased for the combos were supposed to be fried, but the egg roll shell was soft and mushy like it was just microwaved. I can microwave food at home, but I'm eating out so I don't have to eat microwaved food. The fish sauce for the rolls looked like it was just water with a splash of fish sauce and it tasted VERY diluted. To top off the whole experience, I witnessed one of the food preppers use his bare hands to touch the meat, touch the veggies, and then literally dust off his hands right on top of the bowl of pho he was preparing. That is just gross. I really wish I had something good to say about my experience, but sadly I can't. The place looks nice inside and I like the idea, but the execution of everything was poorly done. I don't think they ran a soft opening or a friends and family day to make sure everything ran smoothly and tasted good. That could've been beneficial IMO. I hope they do better and can survive in that spot, but they are going to have to step up their game to do so. I don't think I will be going back, but I hope the best for them.

For Baltimore, this is a pretty decent Vietnamese restaurant. It's the best Baltimore has to offer at this point. Baltimore has little competition in this area; one must travel towards DC. It's a brand new restaurant, so I have high hopes for them. I like the fresh vegetable condiment bar! Definitely will be trying it again!

As someone who is Vietnamese and grew up with authentic Vietnamese food, they need some help. Nice staff but the food is pitiful. Yum yum sauce on a Vietnamese sandwich? No. The nuac mam is terrible. Who's heard of putting vinegar in nuac mam? They need to learn how to roll.. rolls. Don't get the pho if you know what's good for your blood pressure. Overall, I won't be back unless they make A LOT of changes.

Been to a ton of pho restaurants in the area and wanted to try this place out, mainly for the cute name. I would say that this is Americanized Vietnamese food. Everything seems a little toned down, flavor-wise. The pho broth is not as strong, shrimp chips were not shrimpy, beef in the pho kind of looked like..lunch meat slices? Didn't care for the pho, but I would definitely come back for the banh mi. Dont' expect authentic banh mi, but these were some tasty sandwiches nontheless. I ordered the citrus sesame one with pork and it was great.

I'm a little surprised this place got 3-stars (for now). Today was my second time going to this place. First time was dine-in pho and today was carryout (banhmi and rice bowl) The place is very clean, the staff is very friendly, and they have a lot of variety. I do admit that their pho is not the best I've had and as for the banh-mi, the meat was very... wet I would have to disagree with some of the other reviews on price. While pretty much all pho places are raising their prices, this place is probably $1-1.50 cheaper than most places. I'm sure once they pick up business, prices will follow. Their portions are pretty huge. I'm a fan. Definitely plan on going there more often with coworkers.

The food is always made quickly to order, and is always wonderfully flavorful! In particular, this shop makes the best phô in the area...it is NOT to be missed!! A Must Visit restaurant!

Cute and clean place, nicely decorated. Great concept. But the food is lacking. There are much better pho places out there but I do like that you can customize your pho or banh mi. The sandwich is pretty good, it had all the vietnamese flavors but if you really had authentic banh mi - this is not it. For the price, I think you can do better elsewhere but for a cute Chipotle style lunch experience this isn't that bad. Staff is great though.

Friday was my second time there. I absolutely love this place. The first time I ever walked in, seeing the counter to the left and realizing one orders first, then sits down and awaits the order, did not seem very promising. It was very quickly realized, though, that this place is a great place to go get ph. They offer a ph and banh mi special. It was my first time trying banh mi, which I found to be delicious. The ph was delicious; I chose the selection with eye round, brisket, and flank. There is plenty of green and thinly sliced white onion. One interesting thing about this place is, one goes to a little bar where traditional ph accompaniments are to be found, such as Thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and slices of lime. In this way, one may choose what one wants for their noodle soup, and in what proportions. Yesterday's visit saw me in the mood for a nice chicken soup, in ph style, and, as I was preparing for work, coffee. The chicken ph features chicken broth, thin slices of white meat chicken, plenty of white and green onion, and thin rice noodles. The coffee - it's iced, and it ain't cheap. However, as the sweet young lady behind the counter said it was, it is very yummy. Not only that, but I've been up for about 18 hours, including a grueling work shift of nearly twelve hours, and I'm still going strong. If you love iced coffee - get it! If you need to be wide-awake for a while - get it! You'll love it. The yummy fare - is served by an unfailingly friendly, knowledgeable, energetic staff. Ultimately, the people there make the visit worth it. What fun is fun food if the staff is no fun? If you're in the area - go! You'll have a blast.

When we moved to this area I was excited to see a place with bubble tea on the menu so my husband and I dropped by here for food and a tea. I am not a huge fan of pho. I know, I know, that makes me totally not cool but I can't help it. I ordered the spicy chicken with rice noodles for my order. The girl repeated back to me spicy chicken salad. I clarified that it was the rice noodle version. This happened 3 times. What did I get for my order? Spicy chicken on lettuce. SIGH. My husband really liked his beef pho. No complaints. The bubble tea was disgusting. Now, I consider myself quite possibly a bubble tea aficionado. I have had it from all over the West Coast and Hawaii, which is as close to he authentic Thai bubble tea as you can get (considering the place I frequented was owned by the sweetest Thai girl). I have had it from cheap mall kiosks who do a decent job with the powdery concoction. There are two versions, either make it from actual fruit or from a powder. Phubs, like most places, makes it from powder but somehow makes it egregiously wrong. I have had the bubble tea from Phubs twice and I am pretty sure they have done a personal service by squashing my love of the drink to the point I will save calories in the future by no longer craving it. It is so ungodly sweet and the taste so very fake that I tossed the coconut version the second time I tried it. My main complain is obviously the cashier who after clarifying THREE times what I was ordering still messed it up. Overall, I just think there are way better experiences in the area for good Vietnamese food.

I came here upon recommendation from a friend who liked both their pho and banh mi. I don't get out here often so wanted to try both these things. Luckily there's no need to choose between the two. There is a combo special with both a bowl of pho and a half banh mi. I got the Phubolicious Pho and pork for the protein on my banh mi. Overall, the food was tasted fine, but it lacked the multiple layers of flavor that I expect in Vietnamese food. The main source of flavor for pho is the broth. It's usually a beef broth with an intense amount of beef flavor with some spices. The broth can be quite fatty, depending on the chef, which imparts a heavier mouthfeel and some additional flavor. Unfortunately Phubs missed the mark with their pho broth. Their broth was almost watery, lacking the intense beef flavor that I love. However, the broth is quite light so if you're looking for a lower fat option, this could be it. The banh mi was a slight improvement, being that it at least had an intense flavor, but it was just a single dominating note of very sweet grilled pork. The pickled vegetables were insufficiently pickled to be sour enough to balance the pork. The cilantro garnish was completely lost.

Been 2 doors down a few times to Little Spice (4 times) and had to give these guys a try. Very pleasant folks and a great meal!! Like 10 bucks for a huge pho bowl and 1/2 a sub. But tasted alot more expensive. Counter service and bussed tables so even that part is economical. Nice job, I will be back.

Good combination of pho and bahn mi sammy's....the condiment bar could be fresher...had cilantro, basil, limes, bean sprouts...really liked the combo of pho n BBQ chicken bahn mi.. Also had a thai ice tea which came in bubble tea form.

Taste is Pretty Decent, but in my opinion, OVERPRICED, for what you get. I've eaten here at least 10 times now and each time I'm hoping it's a bit better, but the portions just are not there foe the price. If I order the "All Beefed Up" I expect a little more meat! And a lot of the meat you do get, is fatty and not that pleasurable to eat. Don't get me wrong, I am Eeating phubs as I write this. The taste is consistent and I keep going back as its my guilty pleasure. The spring rolls are good, but again I feel everything is just a bit over priced. The staff are always nice and welcoming, and you always get served pretty fast. I'm a huge pho fan and I've just never had so much fat on the meat portions I get. If they Phubs would upgrade their meat and portions a bit, I'd be much happier. Going to start looking at other places nearby. If you don't mind spending the money then check em out. I guess certain dishes are better than others. Maybe next time ill get the chicken pho. Hopefully there chicken meet isn't full of fat. ***Owners If You Read This, Please Note*** The broth is pretty tasty but (if this is what I'm tasting) there seems to be too much cinnamon I would say. Also lacks a little something else... Like its a bit too sweet or something. Just a suggestion but maybe work on that a bit... A couple things fixed could entail a long a fruitful future :) And no one ever reminds me to use my buy 9 get 1 free card. That would be cool if the team did that... Just helps to ensure we come back. I'm in marketing so... That's my 2 cents :)

I have been coming to Phubs for a little over a year now. Often enough that they know what I'm ordering before I even get to the desk. They are friendly, quick, and make amazingggggg food!

I m from Hawaii and I know for sure that we have the best and the closest taste to the Home land Pho. I tried other places round here and they have failed my expectation. First, I thought this place looks weird or not so pho place... Second, after several fails of pho round this place... I was just tired of trying. Twist! This place is actually the closest taste to Home Land Pho! Just like Hawaii. Way more than what I have expected! Worth drive worth wait worth nice warm pho or quick grab and go sandwich.

Bummed to tell y'all that I was mad disappointed with this place. Heard their sandwiches were bomb so I was totes excited to try Phubs out, but the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the BBQ Pork Banh Mi and Mango Bubble Tea Smoothie. The baguette was soft but soggy from the meat & fixings (pickled carrot/daikon, cucumbers, and cilantro). I also wasn't feelin' the BBQ marinade - way too sweet for my taste. The smoothie was just gross. I'm not trying to be mean, but dang, it tasted crazy artificial. It was ridiculously sweet, and I got my drank sans whipped cream. I can feel myself getting Diabetes just thinkin' about the beverage *sad face* I did like the texture of the boba pearls though. ...yeah, I definitely won't be back. Such a shame because the restaurant itself was really cute, and the staff was super friendly. Sorry guys, I'm on team Pho Saigon.

Phubs...solid food, fast and tastey My wife and I had a craving for some some Vietnamese food, but wanted it quick... Phubs to the rescue. When you first walk in you are greeted by a semi-extensive menu... from beef, to pork to veggies.. there is pretty much everything on the menu. After looking over the menu my wife ordered a Noodle bowl with no meat but extra tofu or veggies since she is vegetarian. They were kind and curtious with the changes or customization that we were making, so star for that. I ordered a BBQ chicken Banh Mi... I was in the mood for something bready but yet meatly and flavorful... and the Banh Mi did not disappoint. Once you order you take your number and sit where you would like and they bring the food out to you. While getting drinks and a place to sit we found their condiments bar!! This was great, they offer a whole range of items, jalapenos, bean sprouts, cilantro, etc etc so you can mix and match to your hearts content. So we picked up a plate full of condiments and our drinks and waited for our food. Moments later our food comes out and we are ready to dive in... well after the necessary yelp checkin and picture!! The Noodle Bowl was great with the noodles being the best part, which they should. It was done well with a good amount of flavor and texture to keep you coming back for another bite. The portion size wasn't bad either, for 8 bucks it was filling enough and the sauce they provided was decent as well. So stars for the noodle bowl and making it veggie friendly! The Banh mi was really good, The chicken was nicely done with a good amount of bbq flavor without dumping BBQ sauce all over the sandwich. The bread was good, not has crispy or crusty as I like but it was good. The rest of the sandwich was solid as well, it came with a whole host of fixins and you could add anything from the condiment bar (jalapenos anyone!!) The size was ok, wish it was a little bigger but they put a decent amount of chicken in the sandwich so it all evens out! Overall the experience was a good one, where we felt we got good food at a good value with solid service. So grab your chopsticks or banh mi, Phubs is pho-sure the place to eat!

Yelp gave me a reason to feed my Pho craving: 50% off bubble tea. I ordered my 50% off large coconut bubble tea. I must say I am not a fan. I have never had a bubble tea before and the little balls inside the smoothie were EVERYWHERE, seriously every sip consisted of a million balls filling my straw. I started to spit them out--it was the only way I would drink it! The flavor of those things was just nasty and the texture made me feel like I was swallowing snot. Anyways....Moving on to PHO. YUM, good o'pho. This time I brought a friend and since it was her first time having pho she just copied my order (minus the tea). This time I ordered the #4! It was yummy, Phubs still has the best broth around, however, I must agree with other yelpers that they used to provide the dish with more meat. The meat is very scarce this time! Not happy about it. But I still ate my entire large bowl =)

I think it's squarely in the 3 zone, but I give it a 3.5 because 1. no tip, just pay and take it to your seat, clear your own table when done, and 2. a fixings bar allows you to control how much sprouts, basil, etc you take, which minimizes waste and allows you to get as much of each thing that you need. 3. If you want to order just a small bowl of pho for $4.99, that's available on the kids menu, so that means you can have pho and also something else, which is appealing because usually if you order at standard sized bowl of pho, you're going to be eating it the whole time nonstop. Skip the banhmi, as I felt it was too expensive compared to other places, and the meat is more fatty and in big chunks--not like shaved meat which I think is how it usually is in banhmi. The pho? If you're hungry and need a bowl of noodles, the small bowl of $6.99 will be fine. Not the greatest bowl of noodles you ever ate but at least it's pretty decent, the broth is light, and they give you onions. I'll come again if other friends come here, but I wouldn't go out of my way. It wasn't as bad as I thought though.

We've got several great Pho places near our home, but Phubs is pretty darned good in its own right. I've had lunch here multiple times now. The pho and salads are both very good, but I can't comment on the tendon or tripe, since I always avoid those :). The broth itself could use some more beef/fat flavor, but it's still very good. The spring rolls are very good, and actually contain a good bit of meat, rather than throwing just a smidge in with mostly veggies as many places tend to do. I haven't tried the summer rolls, though I intend to remedy that the next time I go. The portions aren't as generous, as our go-to Pho place in Catonsville, which is the only truly disappointing aspect.

Stopped in after reading lots of reviews and seeing lots of their signage around the area. The staff is extremely, maybe a little unnervingly, friendly and the service is quite fast. I got the beef pho to go, and a few little containers of Sriracha. The broth is pretty plain - not as flavorful as a few of the other local options. I definitely added a lot of fish sauce and Sriracha, and some lime. I will note that their lime wedges were really fresh - definitely a sign of them being pretty busy, and a good detail. The noodles were good, I ate my takeout only a few minutes after picking it up. The beef was really bland, chewy, and kinda a throwaway, definitely not the best. I would like to see them improve the quality of their containers, or charge $0.50 for takeout like other places, because the edge of my bowl had cracked into a bunch of small pieces and fallen into the noodles by the time I'd brought it in to eat - and it didn't get bumped around much in my car at all. Overall, it won't be the choice over Pho Saigon or Pho Nam or Pho Dat Thanh, but they're a friendly enough place to get takeout if it's the only option open or you can't travel further away.

Tried it out today after seeing their business card on a co-worker's desk. Went with two other people. I wanted to try the banh mi (Vietnamese sub) since we don't really have a banh mi presence around here. Got the citrus sesame with pork on a baguette. You also have the option of chicken or steak and a flat bread instead of traditional baguette. Bread was warm and not too thick or chewy. The meat was plentiful and tasty as were the pickled carrots, daikon, and cilantro. There is a fixins bar with mint leaves, cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapeno pepper slices, lime wedges, and crushed peanuts. I added some hot peppers and lime to my sandwich. Mmmmm mmmm. There's hoisin sauce and Sriracha at the tables if you desire. One co-worker had the Vietnamese salad with bbq chicken and a sesame dressing. She really enjoyed it. Other co-worker had the pho which he said was decent but still preferred Pho Dat. I'll try it next time maybe. There's also rice and noodle bowls and bubble tea and French press coffee. I saw spring rolls and summer rolls, too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Interior was clean and bright. Not huge inside but enough seating for a lunch crowd from nearby offices and there's outdoor seating, too. (Definitely more seating than Bon Fresco in Columbia). Will definitely try this place again.

Vegan option(s)! Their vegan veggie pho is amazing. I could be satisfied with just the broth (not really, I need it all!). I've only ever had pho from one other place so I'm no pho connoisseur, but Phubs is one of my fave places to eat. There's also a veggie banh mi that my husband got once. I didn't ask if the bread had eggs or milk.. So may not be vegan. It looked delish and I would be willing to bet it's vegan. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. It's always clean, always somewhere to sit even though it's somewhat small. They have booths, tables, and a counter with stools. Oh! The last time I went, they had multiple tables out front (in shade!) which was nice. Lots of parking, close to the mall.

Little pricy. But its in a strip mall near Arundel Mills. Took almost 10 minutes for my order of spring rolls and banh mi. Tried the bbq banh mi nice taste of sweetness but more spice needed. But still. Nice not having to travel to Virginia.

The pho was okay. But lacking in meat, even ordering extra meat. The bahn mi are very Americanized. It seems that pho and bahn mi are the new trendy food. The duck pate, in the subs does not have much flavor. The pickled veggies in them were not really pickled. The subs just tasted like teriyaki meat on bread with veggies. They lack the authenticity of a bahn mi. Its like saying I want real taco, and going to taco bell. The shakes were good. I like the idea of the condiment bar. I would not go there again unless I was really craving pho.

This Pho restaurant is definitely not like the rest of the Pho's I have been too. However, I still found the Pho to be pretty tasty. You order the food like a fast food style restaurant. They give you a number, and then you can go to their mini bar, and pick your toppings like bean sprouts, jalapenos, peanuts, and more. The mini bar could of used some sprucing up, and some of the food changed. The basil was pretty wilted, and discolored. The server was extremely nice. Overall I enjoyed this place, and will return again.

I was driving past the shopping center where Phubs is located and saw the Vietnamese pho / sandwich sign, and beamed with absolute joy. "Finally! A pho joint near my house!" After finishing all of my errands, my foodie cousin and I decided to give this place a go. Seeing how the outdoor seating was packed with customers, I only hoped for the best. As soon as we walked in, we noticed how the setting of the restaurant was that of a fast food/sit-in joint (think: Jason's deli or Noodles & co); where you order, receive a ticket, and an employee brings you your food. Both my cousins and I ordered pho (#1 and #4) and an appetizer each. Pho: very, very bland. Although, I did get a cinnamon-y taste? No amount of hoisin or siracha sauce did that pho any good. While my cousin likes to eat her pho with no sauce, she had to add some for some (any) flavor. Summer rolls: pretty small, but not bad. I think I make better summer rolls at home ( no.. pun... intended?) Spring rolls: very small, as well. Probably the width of my thumb finger. But, again, didn't taste that bad. Just not worth the money I paid for it. TL;DR pho is bland, appetizers are very small in size..but, not bad tasting. Would I go again? No. The only good thing about this place is friendly staff and the unique set-up of the restaurant. Guess I'm going to have to drive out of my way for a good bowl of pho. Wishful thinking, y'all.

I've been here twice so far and both times the food was not to disappoint. The place was clean, and the staff friendly. The food is very tasty and you can customize your pho experience at the fixin's bar. If you get the pho, do yourself a favor and add the veggies for an extra 1.50, and try the hoisin sauce.

Mmm mmm mmmm.... I had the veggie pho- the vegetables were fresh, broth was well seasoned and salty and to complete the meal I had the mango bubble tea :) WOW very impressed. This place is new and clean N kinda hip, I like it!! The to go boxes are cool you can use them for your bowl! The staff super friendly, lots of menu choices and awesome all you can eat fresh condiments bar (ie sprouts, hoisin, basil, cilantro etc) not bad prices! Fantastic business!!! Wish I could open one of these places!!!!

Perfect healthy meal - the bread is always fresh! My husband and I have been here about three times already and we love it! We love the fast casual style and we love their subs. The bread and veggies are always fresh. I would recommend this to anyone! We are also a big fan of the sauce that comes with the spring rolls we can put it in everything! Service is always good here as well.

Tried a carry out order tonight. The guy taking the order was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The food was ready by the time my husband got there to pick it up (about ten minutes). He loved his sandwich and I am, even now, enjoying my pho. Admittedly, we are not connoisseurs of Vietnamese food as we are still learning our way around the cuisine, but I found the experience to be very enjoyable. We grabbed a menu and will definitely be trying more of their options.

Loved it and only a minute up the road from the Arundel Mills Mall! These guys do pho right and at the right price! The soup is delicious! A very naturally-made-fresh-full-flavored-moorish broth; with succulent pieces of round eye, and soft rice noodles makes this place a contender for one of the best phos within 20 miles. I've been 5 times already including opening day (I think it was 5/13/14) and foresee myself consistently returning. The experience and pho keep getting better and better. The restaurant is set up to order at the counter. From there you take your number and grab your add-ons (mint, lime, sprouts, jalapenos, cilantro, fish sauce, etc.), utensils, and drink; then take a seat at a booth or table to await the delivery of your order. Its a very efficiently fluid experience. Your pho is brought to you within moments; "piping" hot and ready to devour! This makes lunch or quick meal at Phubs a great choice. Some side notes: With all the improvements I've noticed this restaurant has made (ex. perfecting their broth/ recipes, optimizing their menu, and overall efficiency) I am truly excited for the future of this restaurant. Also, they are truly a great group of individuals. I believe their strongest quality (aside from the food) is their sincere interest in their guests' happiness. They constructively absorb guests' advice, comments, and or concerns. Cheers Paul and Thaddeus! Be sure to meet these dudes. In conclusion, whether you are a pho "newb" or a pho "aficionado" you will have to try this place and form your own opinion! Happy dining! p.s. The menu is now on their website.

It's the best Pho and Banh Mi in the area - better than Pho#1 nearby. Broth is delicious with nice aroma and portions are big. Settings are modern/low-key and staffs are friendly. I love the condiments bar.

I'm sad to give this place 1 star. I was so excited when my normal pho place told me his friend was opening a place in my area. I tried it out on the first day, and I can tell you I wont be going back unless they change the recipe. First off, this is an asian restaurant serving pho, I dont want to purchase a soda to drink with my soup. At least have full sized cups for water. The prices were pretty high compared to most of the other pho places I've been to, but since it's the closest one to me, I thought it might be worth it. NOPE NOPE NOPE.... I ordered the pho, and it was the WORST bowl of pho i have ever had. I went with my parents, and they didnt even want to finish it. We also thought we might try the banh mi there. Disappointingly there were 2 dry pieces of beef that were way too chewy for me to even eat. My parents were furious and left at this point, but I stayed to try to give them a chance. The atmosphere is pretty nice, the service was decent, but the food was terrible. The owner boasted that the taste was because it contained no MSG, but to me the broth just tasted like boxed broth they sell at the grocery store. It was pretty bad. Overall, I wont be going back unless there is a huge change.

Soo awesome! I have been waiting for a Pho place to open close to home for awhile. The food is clean and authentic. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is great. I was so surprised by the sesame bahn mi. My husband got the pho and we devoured it.

Great! We've been back twice in a one week time span - affordable, fresh, good portions, and yummy! The broth is expertly perfected and the place is clean and trendy. Shame on the location as this place deserves more traffic. They have a rewards card for frequent visitors -- we will be back for sure ;)

I really really wanted to like this place. When I first heard that there was a banh mi and pho place opening up closer to my house, I was really excited. Finally, a place I could go to when I didn't feel like driving to Catonsville, or making the trek out to VA for banh mi! My gf and I stopped by for lunch on a weekday and there were a few other tables seated. The ordering process was pretty easy, although I cringed a little inside when I saw that they were charging $8 and some change for a banh mi and a soda. Whatever, maybe it's just that good...I'll just try it anyway. So I ordered a pho, and a banh mi and sat down and waited for my order. It took a good 15 min for my food to arrive, which was fine, I excitedly started to dig in... and then nothing. The pho was so bland that I, who normally eats pho plain, had to douse the whole thing with sriracha and hoison sauce. Even then, still bland. Ugh. So sad. On to the banh mi.. the first thing I noticed was the bread. Nothing like the banh mis in va. The bread wasn't crusty on the outside like I'm used to. It had the texture of a submarine roll... toasted. The inside of the sandwich wasn't much better either. There was a good amount of meat inside, but the veggies weren't crisp, they were soggy. I ate 1/2 of the sandwich anyway, and ate as much of my pho as I could because I was starving, and because the thought of throwing away my $17 lunch seemed wasteful. HORRIBLE IDEA. I literally had the runs for the rest of the day. So, after sitting on the toilet all night and cursing phubs the whole time I can say that I will not be back. I'd rather sit in traffic on 495 all day to get my banh mi fix, than have to sit on the toilet all day after my banh mi fix.

There isn't a lot of selections and the food is kind of expensive for the taste - which is average compared to other restaurants out there. But it's not a bad little place. It's just nothing special either.

This was my one and only Pho place to eat but their triple beef has become very skimpy. Not even half the meat that they used to serve. Feeling very sad.

We have been looking for a good place to have pho and this is it! The bowls are large and they even have a little bar where you can pick your own vegetables. Every other pho place is so stingy! The to-go boxes turn into bowls which is very cool! If you want pho go here!!

Not like the banh mi I'm used to. Veggies aren't as pickled and the sandwich isn't as spicy. But really nice people and the sandwiches do taste good. At least I don't have to go to Virginia.

Pho is good! Surprised! This isn't the typical pho place I've been to, feels like a fast food-ish place, fudruckers style, and seating is limited at lunch so either arrive before noon or after 12:30 to get a seat. Very satisfied with the quality of the broth and like that they don't load up the soup with cilantro and have a topping bar to let you load it up as little or as much as you want. Staff is very friendly!

Little pricy. But its in a strip mall near Arundel Mills. Took almost 10 minutes for my order of spring rolls and banh mi. Tried the bbq banh mi nice taste of sweetness but more spice needed. But still. Nice not having to travel to Virginia.

Tried the Banh Mi, cause all these Yelpers had me craving it - something fierce! It was a disappointment. Though the meat was tender, the pickled veg (three skimpy carrots sticks), was def not what I was anticipating. The beef broth, on the other hand, was soothing and yummy goodness for the soul, as all warming soups should be. I'm getting hooked on this Pho soup. No more ramen for me; it's pho from now on! I especially liked the fixings bar, where you can load up on sprouts, lime, cilantro and basil. I've never eaten so many sprouts in my life and it was good. I just slurped those babies up! Just a quick note - there's veg options to choose from as well.

I was hoping this restaurant would be the Vietnamese place close to work I've always hoped for, but unfortunately, this place fell short. But, it's not all bad news. The interior of the place is quite nice and clean. The ordering process was simple, and there is a nice "fixin's bar" with Pho related items, like bean sprouts, basil, mint, jalapenos, etc. This is actually quite an ingenious idea as most other vietnamese places give you a plate full of fresh condiments, and in the end have to toss them b/c people only used some of it. Anyway, back to the food. So, my wife and I ordered a banh mi sandwich (pork), summer rolls, and 1 bowl of pho. The good news is the banh mi sandwich bread was very good. It was soft on the inside, an crusty on the outside. The amount of pickled vegetables was generous as well. The pork tasted OK and there was a healthy helping of it, but generally speaking, this is not how i'd expect banh mi meat. It should really be thinly cut meats, and typically i see cold "deli" meats, but I am going to assume this catered for a palette that may not be used to full blown vietnamese cuisine. Also, the duck pate is an extra cost item, which is odd to me. The duck pate is supposed to be part of banh mi, and has been in all sandwiches i've ever eaten. But, again it might be a palette thing. In any case, i thought the sandwich did have good flavor and tasted good, even if it was not authentic. Now the bad news ... the pho was not very well done. The soup was overly peppery on that day (it was not the jalapenos) and the noodles were overcooked. These two items are paramount to pho, and both has some issue. So, unfortunately, i cannot give high ratings to the pho. I may try it one more time as this might be have been a fluke, but I was disappointed. The summer rolls were not a hit either. They were not wrapped well for one thing (very loose), and then wrapper seemed like it was soaked too long in the water and got too soft. The texture was not quite right. The dipping sauce was also strange, though they do have sriracha and nuoc mam there if you wish to use that. The food is edible, but not comparable to the other vietnamese retaurants in catonsville and columbia. I hope things improve on my next visit.

Came here once a while back with my hubby. We never tried bahn mi so we had that and also ordered a small bowl of pho. Bahn Mi was pretty good I think (don't really know how it's supposed to taste) but flavor wise, it was ok. The pho was.....bleh. Maybe I'm just spoiled by PHO SAIGON over in Catonsville but this pho was pretty bad. Nothing special. Check out Pho Saigon if you want some quality pho.

A small bowl of pho and 1/2 banh mi sandwich combo, can't beat it. Just the right amount of food. The BBQ pork banh mi is flavorful and tasty, I recommend it. As always the pho is full of flavor and satisfying. During the work week, get there early to beat the lunch rush because it gets packed.

This place is amazing! It's American meets Pho, with the sub sandwiches. Love it! Would recommend to others. Everything seemed fresh and you could taste all the flavors. The extra veggie option is yummy. Ordered all of my regular pho items and was pleased! Chicken Pho, Shrimp summer spring rolls and a new item for me, the teriyaki sub. Glad I read the reviews on yelp and ordered to go! Perfect if you are in the hotel and want something good!

Phubs has improved 100% since they opened and the staff is still great and friendly. I will always prefer a more traditional Vietnamese restaurant to this place, but their food is satisfying and pretty tasty. Not to mention the fact that I can walk here from work. The location is primo and I don't have to go over by the stupid mall, which is great. Keep it up, Phubs!

Decent. Tried the citrus sesame banh mi chicken and my coworker had the triple threat beef pho. With a drink you are looking at $17 for both. Never had banh mi before, but I left uninspired. I got it on the baguette and it is simply dark meat chicken and veggies with no gusto. It wasn't bad, but I felt like I ate a specialty sub at Pot Belly or Quiznos. My coworker's small order of pho looked more impressive than the banh mi and he said he enjoyed it. Looked like a better bang for the buck as well. I would come back, but am in no rush. Would try the pho and their rolls. It was a bit concerning that the hoisin sauce is left out, unrefrigerated, contradicting what the label says to do after opening.

The first time I went to Phubs on their opening week, I wasn't overly impressed. I decided to give it another try, and now I go about once every two weeks. I can definitely tell they've gotten the kinks worked out and are starting to perfect their business model of serving great Vietnamese food in a quick and casual environment. The staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the ingredients in the meals. I love their pho broth, especially since it doesn't use any MSG. You can tell it's more natural and it's very yummy! You get a nice amount of meat in your pho compared to other Pho places in the area. I also love the fix-ins bar, so I can control my own amount of cilantro, limes and everything else I like putting in my pho to customize it. Their spring rolls are also good, and I love the thai iced coffee. My only suggestion would be to serve the iced coffee more traditionally and let the customer watch it brew and mix it themselves. I haven't tried any of the subs, but will do that someday, if I can make myself branch outside of my normal pho routine. I'll definitely be a repeat customer, and wish Phubs the best of luck as it grows and gains new customers!!

Overall... Really not impressed. There's much better pho restaurants somewhat close than this fast food style pho. Broth was pretty tasteless and lack of meat in my soup. Also when the waiter brought it he confused the two soups he had in his hand and gave me the wrong one. I guess if desperate and don't want to drive this place is decent, but not really desired. Prices are moderate at around eight dollars with refills on soda.

I tried this restaurant for 2nd time. The first visit they did not offer the lunch special combo and I did not like the pho. The bubble tea was bad because it was spoiled. Do not event try the bubble tea because it is not fresh. They are in the slurpee like container. In my second visit, I tried the lunch special combo and I changed my mind about this place. It's worth going during lunch time because you get a well portioned food under $10.

I ordered the Summer Rolls and BBQ Pork Bahn Mi via Yelp and it went very smoothly! Was ready fast and my order was completed correctly. So I started eating these round puffy shrimp crackers that were complimentary and I lovedddd them. This could just be the Asian in me, but they were very fun to eat and delicious. The reason I say fun is because when you put your tongue or lips to it you could feel them crackle and it was a... sort of... strange, but very addicting feeling. The peanut sauce for the Summer Rolls was too salty for my taste and I couldn't eat it with the rolls, but I love the fact that you can taste the freshness of the ingredients they use. Cucumbers were crunchy, lettuce was chrisp, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Also, I was pleased to see they used herbs in their Summer Rolls! A lot of places will not even bother using herbs (probably for cost reasons). My only suggestions are to use more of them, I think (if it even was cilantro) I only saw 2 individual leaves of cilantro and couldn't really taste them. (I would love me some mint, but a lot of people don't like mint leaves.) Also, when I ate the rolls they fell apart easily, so it would be nice to see a tighter roll. The BBQ Pork Bahn Mi was wonderful! Very nice balance of ingredients and moist pork, I am a fan. I love whatever concoction you use to pickle your vegetables and marinate your pork. The bread was nicely toasted, buttery and had a good texture (I hate when the roof of my mouth gets cut up from hard bread). I think next time I will have to try the flat bread you guys offer! Unfortunately, I could only appreciate half of the Bahn Mi because my boss ate my other half after I gave him a piece to try.

Good pho at decent prices. Clean environment, great wait and kitchen staff that pretty much gave me anything and everything I needed. They also keep a veggie bar with tons of cilantro and bean sprouts for you to add to your soups or sandwiches as you please. Always here bean sprouts. Was a bit disappointed to see that their boba tea selection was not quite tea, but instead desert smoothies (I still remain on a mission to find a good Boba Tea out here). Ended up not being a problem, as they were happy to add boba to my iced coffee selection. Coffee was super strong, but boba was sweetened perfectly and they were happy to cream down their power coffee for me. Good times.

Me and my sister came here yesterday evening to try out their pho and banh mi. Looking at the reviews here, we felt like we wanted to see for ourselves. I ordered the Large Beefed Up Pho which is #5 and a Citrus Banh Mi with Pork and Pate (Extra 2 dollars) which is #8. I also ordered their Vietnamese coffee. My sister got the Triple Threat Pho Large #4. Service was good and the food came out fast, around 5 minutes. Pho Saigon has spoiled my taste buds with extreme prejudice. After having pho here, it was nowhere near PS's level. I felt like it was mediocre. However, their banh mi was AMAZING. The meat had some fat on it which made the flavors that much more potent. The overall flavors of the banh mi was rich. The only downside I had with the banh mi was that I couldn't taste ANY of the pate they supposedly put in. None. And for 2 extra bucks? Wow. The Banh Mi was what stood out for me. Didn't have their signature flat bread but instead had the traditional baguette and that held everything inside really well and the texture was great. The Viet Coffee? It was sweet and good but it wasn't strong at all. Not even a bit. Those who love the Viet coffee at other places, don't get it here because it will disappoint you tremendously. Service was good, food came out fast, banh mi was delicious, not bad!

No no no. I hate writing negative reviews but this place is too obvious with it's intentions. Good -bringing more ethnic food to the burbs. This plaza randomly has a good amount of choices. -bringing bahnmi and pho to my hood. -friendly staff Bad -scam level over priced. I figured the price would be reflected in the size being bigger.. Big nope. You can get 3 more authentic bahnmi subs at mom and pop Viet shops for only a couple bucks more. Craziness. The small sized pho is like a child sized bowl for over $8! Nuts. I think the idea is a Viet chipotle but quality and quantity both aren't even close. I don't get how they can justify the price gauging. My guess is bc it's targeting "American" customers. -30 minute wait for one bahnmi?? I waited a few months to try this place to let them iron out their kinks. No way no how should it take that long. Guy next to me also complained he waited too long for his carry out pho. They initially brought out the wrong order and also didn't make it to go =(. -only 3 meat choices none with out pate?? What the heck, what makes this bahnmi? It's just a sub with sweet bbq meats. The pickled veggies aren't even pickled! I guess throw in some cilantro and bam there you have it? -doughy bread. Why why why. Baguette should not be doughy and mushy! Bahnmi or not. Ugh. Such a fail. I want new businesses to succeed. But I have a feeling this will cater to a certain audience and do fine. Worst case it deprives people into trying truly authentic bahnmi and pho, best case it brings Viet food to more people and maybe get them to be more adventurous and go to a more authentic place. It's insulting to me but I realize I've been spoiled by traveling all over and experiencing ethnic foods not only in it's home country but in more population dense cities.

Pretty decent pho. We like that they have a true vegetarian option; some other places use chicken or beef broth. Just because it's counter service doesn't mean it's fast food. Took a while to get our food. Not the best pho ever, but no major complaints. They have a vegetarian ban mi that I think I'll try next time.

I was excited to try Phubs after a good bit of hype in the area. There are a lot of PHO spots popping up lately, so I was excited to try one so close to home. I ordered a #3 and an order of summer rolls. Pho- The broth was decent but something about the bowl overall was lacking to me, can't put my finder on what exactly it was. The broth was not hot enough so maybe that was what put me off. Summer Rolls - These seemed like they were in a freezer or the back of a fridge, they were so cold it ruined it for me. Need to be room temperature or at least not 40 degrees. My Wife ordered the Chicken bahn-mi and a smoothie. We were both impressed with the Bahn-mi, it was good overall. The smoothie was thrown away shortly after, it was too sweet and just tasted off, these should be made fresh like other locations in the area. I will give it another shot, just to see if anything changed. UPDATE 3/24, changed my score a bit after a 2nd visit. It was much better this time around, the summer rolls were great and the broth tasted a bit better. Maybe we caught them on an off night the 1st time around.

August 16 I came across this place while getting my nails done, and I really enjoyed it. I've never seen a concept like phubs before so it was different. This blonde head woman really helped me figure out what I wanted(I'm quite picky and difficult when it comes to food) wish I grabbed her name but truly even the woman who brought out my food was just as friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the food. I had the vegetarian Bhan Mi and it was good. The reason I gave it a three although it was good it was hard to eat at times. The tomatoes kept falling off the mushrooms felt a bit too soft and slimy. I also ordered a shrimp summer roll, the wrapping was very sticky, chewy and gummy which made it hard to rip and chew. But that's more of preference in how I like my food. Really good place to try, I implore you to. Smile!

Think "Chipotle for Vietnamese" and you're not far off. Pho and subs. Get it? Phubs. Two stars for the first visit but really just because of the uneven-ness of the execution and the food. First, the cashier messed up our order, which we didn't notice till the food came out. No big deal, and easily fixed, but... My wife and I both had the #4 Triple Threat Pho. The broth was tasty but we had radically different amounts of noodles and beef in our bowls. I had what I would consider a slightly under-noodled bowl with almost, but not quite enough meat. She had a lot less noodles and one (!) large piece of beef in hers. One of the boys had the chicken bahn mi, which was good. The other had the chicken tenders. Bonus points to the restaurant for even having them, but four weenie nuggets weren't enough for him. He ended up eating a lot of my broth - so Mr. Picky Eater turns out to like pho. The staff is overall really nice and helpful. Looks like it will be relatively fast for lunch. I will come again, and will see how it is then.

Loved this place. They have a lot of great options for pho and Banh Mi's. Their meal combos are amazing for the price. The only draw back to this place is the service: they use a system that is identical to Pei Wei, so you are sort of on your own if you are new to pho or if you need focused service.

I ordered the Groupon and then realized this place is very close to my work place. It is in a strip mall which has a few other restaurants. This place was super clean and the staff went out of their way to be friendly. The menu is straight forward, and as many others have already mentioned, the "fixin" area was nicely stocked. I liked that we could pick and choose what to add to our meal. The steak salad was great! The bbq chicken bahn mi was much better than the pork one. The Pho was not on par with what we were used to from New Jersey and New York. I would go back for that steak salad and would love to have it in a wrap. The coconut bubble tea was a little too sweet but other wise ok.

I got the triple threat beef pho, spicy chicken banh mi and ice coffee. The banh mi was pretty good. Dissapointed that they didnt have cold cuts. The pho and ice coffe was just okay. The pho broth was missing something. The coffee was watered down. Overall, Phubs is okay not memorable.

I am lucky enough to live near some awesome Pho' places. Nam, Pastuer and Saigon. They are all amazing The Pho' here was horrible, $$ for the size, they didn't put the meat in raw They didn't have any sate sauce...not satay...sate. A decent place willl not only have it, but will make it in house It's very Americanized I was positive they had given me vegetable broth. So much so that i asked to have a sample of the veggie which tasted like salty water I didn't get a sandwich but the bread didn't look legit I'd rather not eat pho as opposed to having a bowl that wasn't good. It's just frustrating I think the people on here who have rated their Pho highly have not had good Pho before. There is no way Id go back and try a sandwich, but i'd never get the Pho again

This is a Late Review! Gotta love how "Phò'" is used excessively in this Establishment! The Self-Serve AYCE Condiment Bar is a Marketing Ploy. If that entices you as a Consumer, then "Whatever floats your boat." I, personally, don't find this a plus and certainly don't care to help myself to extraordinary amounts of Bean Sprouts, Sliced Jalapeño, Cilantro, Lime, or Onions while Wait Staff at other Vietnamese Restaurants will bring it out on a Dish when asked. They don't even have "Real" Nu'ò'c Măm, For Crying Out Loud! There weren't any Vietnamese in sight at this place...And unfortunately, the only thing Authentic was the Viet Verbiage on the Menu! Can you say "Faux" (Pun Intended)?!?!?! I am not Vietnamese, but If I eat at an Ethnic Restaurant, then I do my best to Order in their Native Tongue and enjoy my Food as a Local would. Oh, the looks I get after I order my Viet Food! HELLA Funny when you see the Cooks and Owners come out and look around to see whom ordered a Phò' Tài Sàch (while Phò' Tài Sàch is not on the Menu yet they have Tripe) with the Tài On-The-Side! That is a whole 'nother story, though!

Stopped here for a quick bite. Service was fast and friendly. We liked the built your own add one station and they were cool with all my adding and subbing on my pho order. I got the beef all the way with no noodles add veggies and poached egg. We both agreed that it was a bit commercial and not like any authentic Vietnamese place. This showed in the broth ... Lacked depth of flavor and that "made by grandma" feel. We would rather eat pho in a family owned hole in the wall anyday. If you are looking for fast, fresh and convenient this would be the place. Good but not great. But we hear they deliver so that's an upside for those hangover mornings you can bother to leave the house.

For a fast food Vietnamese place the place is clean and pho was pretty darn good. Broth is key and I thought was very flavorful and just enough oil in soup. I'm Asian and pretty critical of my broths. I say more than above ave for pho broth. I ordered the number five with lots of guts.

This place is great! Very friendly staff, very tasty and affordable food. I love that they have a lot of specials and combos. Don't forget to order one of their delicious bubble teas. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food and a friendly atmosphere.

For a fast food Vietnamese place the place is clean and pho was pretty darn good. Broth is key and I thought was very flavorful and just enough oil in soup. I'm Asian and pretty critical of my broths. I say more than above ave for pho broth. I ordered the number five with lots of guts.
