Charwood Deli

Reviews:
It is a small deli located in a business shopping center and owned by asian people, they're closed on Sat&Sun, I used to go there more often while I was working at Hertz (car rental place) especialy during Breakfast time which i was in love with their steak egg&cheese omlet which is fantastic! And also their gyro! During my last visit i noticed big difference in decoration, looks really good the new owners are very nice, clean and super friendly and the quality of their food was same great or even taste better, their prices are very reasonable also!
If you use a GPS whether it's Google Maps or the default app on your phone, you can get lost... It took me an extra 5 minutes to find this place manually after getting lost using the GPS. It's in the middle of a bunch of office buildings and warehouses so this place would be easily missed. However, because of Yelp, I found out this place existed! Upon walking inside this establishment, I saw a whole team of people working behind the counter, like a platoon! You know that this place gets packed when you see 10-15 people working there and all the tables are occupied with 4 people in front of you, waiting in line. This place HAS to be good. They have the usual breakfast and lunch fare like platters, sandwiches and wraps. But they also have their own creative creations like the Bulgogi Bull Dog which consists of beef bulgogi (Marinated Korean Beef) and a huge hot dog in a huge hot dog bun. It also has other Korean fusion dishes and other "named" items. I also got their Chicken Salad Sandwich called Theresa's. The Bulgogi Bull Dog was pretty good, however, I feel like they should have separated the 2 into their own separate sandwiches. The bulgogi was good but when I took a bite of the hotdog, it's flavor overpowered the bulgogi. The Theresa's sandwich was delicious. Buttered croissant, chicken salad with raisins and walnuts and the usual toppings. It all went really well together, it was tasty. The whole team of workers were very friendly and prepared the food quickly.
Oh, how I wish I would have found this gem several years earlier. Charwood Deli is my favorite lunch spot around the BWI area, frequenting it 1-2 times a week. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend the BOOM BOOM Burger. It's amazing!

Now lets be honest, about the food here, its better than good, not great but better than good. And yes I am a fan. I don't have to like what they do outside of the store with the money they generate but the food its self is always the same store after store and I like it!
This location has some of the friendliest staff I've ever had the pleasure of encountering in a fast food establishment. There's one particular staff member who is responsible primarily for just making sure diners have everything they need. She will refill your drink, remove your garbage from the table, bring you napkins, or help with just about anything you need. Most importantly, she's always bright and cheerful! The staff in general responds in such an organized and efficient manner that even though this is an incredibly busy location, I can always rely on them to process both the inside and drive through lines quickly and effectively. On their busiest weekend days, my order is still hot and accurate. I always seem to have a pleasant experience!
Fast service. Accurate. Hot and never disappointed. Its very crowded at lunch but its still fast service.

Some people hate Starbucks because it's a large chain. I love them for bringing decent coffee, goodies, and a reasonably comfortable place to kick back and have coffee. It's sad if having one in the neighborhood gets rid of really good local coffee houses but that hasn't been my experience. Regardless, this particular Starbucks is OK but cramped. No big deal if you're just stopping in to grab something to go. Your pretty much are guaranteed a decent cup of coffee, for which I say Thank You!
Can't believe I am the first to review! I love this place people and so nice and they even know your drink!!! How much better can it get :)
I have been going to this Starbucks for years and I always leave happy. I work at the Petsmart down the street from this Starbucks location so needless to say my co-workers and I are always going on coffee runs here. The employees are really nice and the Baristas are quick and accurate. I don't drink coffee myself but my coffee addicted co-workers are always satisfied. I am a Chai addict and they always make it the way I want it and they never forget my Soy which is a major plus! Gotta love this location because of their mobile payment option. As a Starbucks fan and Gold Card member this is a must.

Atmosphere is fantastic, not too fancy or too casual. Pricing is very good for the food, ranging from $12ish to $30ish depending on what you order. Our server was amazing and friendly, she made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out timely and very fresh. I've tried the Gnocchi and the brick oven pizza - definitely the best I've had since moving to the states. The wine selection is good. Highly recommend trying this place if you're in the area.
This review is only for Pick up service. The order for pizza, appetizer and salad was put in without any problem. Staff was helpful, friendly and polite. The wait time was faster than I thought. The Pizza Margherita was crisp, thin and very flavorful. The Calamari was really good, as well. Light breading and the sliced peppers were a great compliment. The aioli and marinara were tasty. The house salad and bread were delicious. Overall, a great experience.
My wife and friends have become quite fond of this casual, intimate, quiet traditional Italian eatery often visiting on a Sunday evening when the casual ambiance is apparent and the suits have not yet arrived for the business week. The two servers who are in addition skilled mixologists are fun and attentive engaging in casual friendly rapport with genuine good humor. All that's very nice but it's the food, it's preparation and presentation that keeps us coming back. Favorites include any of the parmigiana dishes and the roast shank is consistently memorable. So if you are tired of the big noisy fake Italian food chain operations as I am, give VIVO an opportunity to win you over as it has us.

Cafeteria-style ordering, no wait service. Just order at the counter on your way in, then sit yourself at a table. Desserts are in the fridge (flan) or at the cash register (alfajores cookies). There's also a drive-thru window. It's good for what it is, which for most people is charbroiled chicken with two sides. I prefer the Carne Asada, a thin, marinated and tenderized flank steak grilled with bell peppers and onions. My preferred sides are the yucca fries and the cilantro rice. Like another reviewer mentioned, the plantains are a little different: they have a thin, blackened crispy edge, which I thought was nice, makes them a little more firm and less mushy. Of the desserts, I've only had the flan, which was a much thicker consistency than I'm used to, but it's not bad. Just a little different than other places. Most of their food can be pretty oily/greasy. After you finish, you might notice a shiny pool of oil at the bottom of your plate or container. So if you're grease-conscious and don't like shiny lips after a meal, you might not enjoy this food much. But it is well-seasoned and satisfying portions.
Ordered a whole chicken combo which came with two sides (I chose white rice and string beans). Everything was on point and the staff is friendly & prompt. I really liked the green sauce which was also included. My wife and four year old son also enjoyed the meal.
Not for Americans who come from the flavorless South or Midwest. Or maybe it is for them! Ask Anthony Bourdaine what he thinks about Peruvian cuisine and he'll tell you it's some of the most flavorful in all the world. And with 4-5 locations in The Maryland area, I think the locals have figured this out too. Food amazing, seating ambiance nothing special, but who cares, did I mention the food. I was expecting a little more spice, which you can get with their green salsa - which is not Mexican salsa verde, it is much much better. Try the Lomo Saltado or the Ceviche, can't go wrong. Get the Inca cola, yucca and the platanos and you'll sing this places praises.

Nice store with fast service. Always love a stop at Starbucks.
A-side from the long wait since it is inside of a mall. the staff there is trying to quickly and swift to give correct order to customer! which I am really satisfied how they did! very good customer service thumbs wayyy up!
This location inside the mall. It's homey, with a few tables and chairs that works for me. Service was great, my coffee was really yummy and my oat bar delicious. I forgot to get back my gold card and good thing I am still seating here enjoying my coffee. The barista asked if it was my card. Yes, it's mine!!! Thank you for that. I will continue to come here every time I visit.

Had the chicken n rice...was pretty good. So was the pork n vermicelli dish my friend had. Tried bunch of apps Korean rolls-good, Vietnamese tacos-alright (ur choice of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp), steamed pork bun-did not look anything like the pic-was blah. Bahn mi sandwich was good. The bread was toasty, grilled pork was tasty. Sesame ball was ok, just comes as a single ball. They do have bar n drinks. I ordered Tropic Thunder came in a full glass cup. Didn't get to try the pho..look pretty good. Will have to try next time. Didn't get to try more of the desserts but the sesame ball.
I will give this place one huge line of credit - the summer rolls are pretty fantastic. As far as everything else, I agree with many of the reviews on this site. The pho is ok at best - not bad for being by Fort Meade, but not really up to anyone's standards. I went in there once between the hours of 2 and 7 p.m. for their happy hour, and was hugely disappointed by the lack of actual happy hour specials as well as decent food. I waited almost 25 minutes for my wings - who on earth wait that long for wings? Additionally, I have to agree with many other reviews and that the customer service is terrible. It's like they have no idea the difference between Vietnamese customer service, and American customer service. I am in America - not Vietnam. I expect you to come by and refill my water without asking, take away my plates as I'm done with them, and actually be available when I need to get my bill. Last I checked you may serve like you're in Vietnam but you still expect American tips. If you can tolerate all of that, this is actually pretty decent place to go for pho and summer rolls. The other food though - I wouldn't touch it.
2.5 stars. The food here is OK. More expensive than other pho places that are way better. The bartender/waitress was disgusting. She was picking her teeth with a toothpick behind the cash register which is by the sandwich case... The other staff was attentive and nice. I got the tofu pho and it was ok. Hubby got the pork Bahn MI. And he liked that a lot. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and bitter, I prefer it to be more sweet but that's how my hubby likes it. Summer rolls were good but the peanut sauce was a little off. Not enough peanut taste in the sauce. Over-all. It was ok. Probably won't come back.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Reviews:
Taste good, but to greasy for me
Five Guys seems to be everywhere these days, and with good reason. Their burgers are far and away better than any cheap fast food chain, and better than their direct competition (e.g. Fatburger). The cajun fries are great, and the "regular" size is plenty for two people. I tried their hot dog once -- good, but it's no burger. This location, just down the road from Arundel Mills Mall, is definitely one of the better outlets. I've eaten here plenty of times, and only encountered slight mishaps barely worth mentioning (a missing topping, plain instead of cajun fries, that kind of stuff). The staff is very friendly, and they keep the place clean. It does get very crowded at peak hours -- especially lunch -- so seating can be an issue. I did have one weird experience here... I purchased a six pack at the liquor store two doors down, and declined a bag because, you know, it's already got a handle. I had the beer on the table while I was waiting for my food, which I was going to take home to consume along with the beer. An employee came over with a plastic shopping bag, asking me put the six pack in there because they "don't have a liquor license and could get in trouble." I told her I wasn't going to drink it here, but she insisted, so I complied with her request... still very strange though. Maryland has plenty of stupid alcohol regulations, so I wouldn't be surprised to find out I was breaking some outdated Puritanical law or something.
This is the best burger I ate since I moved from Texas. Burgers are from fresh ground meat (not frozen).Fries are home style and big. Kids loved the peanuts before lunch. it is very casual and fast food style. Price is okay for quality. Great for eat and go... Be aware of fried food smell on your dress...

Chevys Fresh Mex

Let's talk about happy hour. Sit where you want. Yes its just the two of you but enjoy that table for six. Thank You I do mind if I do. Love space on the table. By the time your butt hit the sit there is friendly staff waiting to take your drink order. My all time favorite the frozen peach margarita with a salted rim. There is so much love in that drink. Chevy's wings are the best. They are served with ranch dressing, bonus win. The bar area is standard flat screens everywhere which makes it a great spot to catch a game.
We had the crispy chicken flautas and fresh gauc as our appetizers. Both were delicious and enjoyed watching the bar tender make the mixture of fresh gauc in front of us. I enjoyed the signature jalapeño jelly that came with the flautas. For the drinks I just had a soda and my significant other had the house margarita frozen with sugar. She loved it but made the mistake of ordering a large so it was a very big glass for her. After meals she has ordered a pomegranate margarita regular size with sugar on the rocks. In her words they are kind of strong but delicious. Now the main courses we had was the mesquite-grilled tacos with steak and the mesquite-grilled veggie burrito. The tacos I had was very filling and I tried build on top with the rice given to me, but was not successful. That meal was very, very good. The burrito was so much for the significant other that she couldn't eat the whole thing. So we got a to go box for the item. Finally the bar tender was a very friendly gentleman and didn't need pen and paper to take our order he knew what to put in once we told him. He was very professional with his customer service. I honestly can't wait to come back here again to enjoy the same customer service again.
While Chevys doesn't taste a lot like authentic Mexican food (if you've lived in CA, the Southwest or been to Mexico, you know this) this is one of the better Chevys I've been to and over the years through traveling I've been to many. This location offers great service (which isn't the case at most), delivers huge portions (which is common at all) and offers value (yes, with the amount of food they dish out, no one can complain). Basically, if you're in the mood for chain Mexican, this is your spot. It brings an upbeat, fun atmosphere, solid food and suits every party, whether a date, solo or with a large group. One thing, the tableside guacamole is way better than the small side (although $6 more). If you have a few people go for the larger portion. You can taste the difference. Also, check out the combinations. While I wasn't a fan of the chicken flautas (they were undercooked), the chicken and carnitas (pork) soft tacos were good. You can try three different things and are given a massive amount of rice and beans (too much, in fact). Either way, there's something on the combo, you'll enjoy.

Flippin’ Pizza

It's the closest thing to NY style I've found in the area. Definitely the best go-to for a quick slice or two of pizza. Prices can't be beat! I recommend the triboro, buffalo chicken, & the white pizza (I think it is called something else though).
Flippin' Pizza has an interesting menu, especially the gluten free pizza. However, the pizza does not live up the menu. The gluten free pizza wasn't that good. It wasn't bad but it lacked texture and overall taste. I do give them props for offering these options. My friend had the regular pizza with pepperoni. His opinion was that "it is average pizza." I also give this place some props for the prices and the specials. Overall I would give Flippin another shot.
Honestly, the pizza here is flimsy " literally". It's a thin crust pizza with average sauce, cheese and toppings. Their pepperonis were awesome when they first opened. That was then. They need to start cooking in a brick oven or add different toppings to give some character to their food. I do not feel like its worth the money even when I get their 2 slice and soda combo for lunch
