Love cafe Italia. My family has been getting pizza here since we moved to Maryland 15 years ago. It is one of our favorite spots in Hagerstown. Last night they ordered a white pizza and mentioned I was pregnant, and the new guy who took the order made the pizza heart shaped. You gotta love service like that!

I have been coming to Cafe Italia for over 10 years. The food is great, love the Ziti. I have ordered countless subs, love love love the subs. The pizza is good as well. The service is great, free refills on soft drinks. Plenty of parking.

Not sure if I just got 2 bad visits but I'm not impressed with this place at all the food was not that good service was slow and the beer selection was bad. I don't have any plans to return.

Always freshly made pizza and other Italian dishes! My family and I eat here at least once a month. I recommend their Hawaiian pizza! Simply amazing! My wife always orders their cheese manicotti or lasagna. Both of which come with fresh bread and a side salad. Portions are hearty and you will leave full! The staff is very friendly day and night! This place is great for the whole family!

I have eaten here twice. Both times have been great! The staff is always friendly and the customers talk from table to table. I met two great families while eating dinner. The pizza is great and prices are too!! One of my favorites places in Hagerstown.

Came here the other night, my friend ordered us a pizza and I'm not sure the name of it but it had like prosciutto, ricotta, white cheese, and olive oil on it... it was actually a pretty decent pizza and we'll definitely be back again.. although I've heard the pasta dishes aren't so great here.

Update: I brought my charred Stromboli in today (this posted late - brought food back the next day) and spoke with Tony (owner). I showed him his own Facebook menu where it clearly states that a cheeseburger sub comes with Lettuce, tomato, provolone and mayo - which is definitely not what we received. He did apologize multiple times and did not hesitate to make the refund. He did try for a moment to make excuses and guilt me for making posts online - but he did refund my meal in it's entirety without further difficulty. He wanted me to know that he wished I would have called him first before posting negative feedback on social media. I wanted him to know that he needs to review with his staff what kind of food should never ever leave the kitchen and how to speak to people on the phone both for order placement and also for receiving complaints. Hopefully, he will use this as a learning experience and an opportunity for growth. I did not share this in my original post but this is actually the third time I've had issues here. With the two previous issues I had I intentionally refrained from posting about them publicly. However, this time I had just finally had enough.

Great food and friendly staff. The portion size for the Chicken Alfredo was hearty and the chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. If we weren't from out of town this would be a regular spot for us!

Cafe Italia rocks! Moved here in the summer and this has become one of my regular spots. Living less than a half mile away is a plus, too! Great food and their staff is fabulous. Love, love!! Highly recommend!

We love carry out for pizza, strombolis, or calzones. The dough is made on site. When dining in we love the homemade bread. The owner is from Italy and a welcome addition to the usual fast food type of Italian food. I have never had anything bad, certainly not burnt. I guess that was an isolated nite below & quickly addressed. Our meal was delicious. My husband loves the baked Ziti. Speaking of the food, we were very pleased. We do mostly carry out but have heard good reports on their catering service. Cute catering van out front.

I must say that I was disappointed. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and it just wasn't that good. I recall ordering this same dish from a lil Mom & Pop Italian joint in NJ (near Rutgers University) not too long ago and the size of the dish was larger (particularly the amount of eggplant used) and it was incredible! The eggplant parmigiana I ordered from this place was second-rate. I wish I could say otherwise. I won't be returning for another meal.

The pizza here is WONDERFUL!!!! The lunch time selections of "slices" will amaze you. Yes they have the regular with just cheese and sure they have slices with pepperoni, Be adventitious; try the bacon, ranch and fries pizza, stuffed pizza. Pizza with steak, and cheese. Pizza with lettuce tomato and bacon. I like some better than others. At $5.50 for two slices and a drink for lunch how can you go wrong? Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff is so nice and friendly. I work nearby, and could eat there everyday.

When you walked in It had a real Italian smell. The service was great. Food was awesome. We had a calzone & a med meat lovers pizza. You will not leave hungery. It was a lot of food. We will be going back.

Upon moving to Hagerstown, I was expecting the abundance of mass market chain Pizza, but i have been pleasantly surprised. Everytime i've gone to Cafe Italia, the service has been great and the food always amazing! The sub rolls and pizza dough are made in house and are of the highest quality. My favorite is the meatballs they use on the pizza. They are full of flavor and compliment the pizza well, whereas other establishments just throw unseasoned ground beef on as a topping. Fresh Ingredients, amazing service(The server was overwhelmed, but made sure everyone was taken care of!!!) I wish this local business well!
