    DISAPPOINTED! I took my mom for a mother's day dinner on Saturday evening with a party of 5 we made reservations but still had to wait a good 30 minutes, even though we were "on the top of their list for next seats" then we waited over an Hour and half for our entrees that were not top notch. There was so much wrong tonight and I am so very sad because I was expecting amazing things. We should have just got up and left,but the waitress was so very nice and discounted some of our food and apps that we had to see it through to the bitter end.The kitchen staff was erratic and unorganized with no direction for that many tables being served. I would have liked to have seen a manager but she was too busy trying to expedite food from the kitchen that she didn't have time for the customers. I could go on about each dinner and how it just was not up to standards of the pricey menu, but I am so very frustrated by this evenings events and was really expecting so much more from Bridges.

    I don't do many 5 stars, but in my opinion, this is one of those. The view is great. The food wonderful. The staff most accommodating and friendly. The prices were too high, then I think McDonald's prices are too high. Our appetizers were the vegetable soup which was ordinary. The bruschetta which was different because the bread was soft, not hard, but very, very good. I had the crab cake which was wonderful with actual large lumps of crab. My husband had the scallops with mushroom risotto, topped with a balsamic reduction. If we had been in our dining room he would have licked the plate. The creme Brule was average. Mine is creamier. But it was still a great way too finish off our meal.

    PRICEY WITH AN AWESOME VIEW ! DECOR: The view is awesome. Unfortunately I went here on a chilly Saturday afternoon so the outside seating which is on the deck was closed. The interior is very cool! Looks like a big wooden cabin and of course quite spacious. FOOD: We ordered GRILLED SHRIMP, CREAM OF CRAB SOUP, FISH TACOS, APPLE PIE(WITH ICE CREAM). The food was just OKAY! The presentation was impressive. The fish in the fish tacos and the crab in the soup was smelly/fishy. However if you eat the fish taco with with the sour cream and pickle, it tastes better. Also, the size of the fish was big, may be it would have tasted better if the fish fillet was cut into smaller slices. The fish tacos were served with some designer potato fries. I liked the grilled shrimp. The dessert was also okay! It was some sort of apple pie served in a glass that has fresh apples topped with a scoop of ice cream. It was quite hard to eat and we were afraid that the ice cream will fall off the glass or may be the glass will fall off if we hurry. SERVICE: The waiter was so polite. He did recommend us items on the menu and also kept enquiring of we were comfortable and happy with the service. The food was served pretty quick (within 15 mins from ordering). PRICE: Our total was approx $50 (including tips). But worth if you are able to enjoy the weather and the view.

    The 3.5 rating here is about right. Setting is fantastic, seating options nice variety of inside, outside, bar. Food was good to very good. Drinks were well done. Table setting a bit lacking, service was fine but nothing special. Seemed to be enough parking and easy to use. Nice shades and space in the dining area. I'd return again; definitely for the setting, but the food was good all around.

    My wife and I decided to dine at Bridges for our anniversary. Bad move! The Rockfish was terrible. The Cream of Crab Soup was very good, but the $31 for the Fish that is currently in season left a bad taste in my mouth that is still here today. I will say that I have had good food there in the past, so hopefully this is not a downward trend.

    As another commenter said, three and a half stars is about right. Location is great, obviously, service is nothing extraordinary. The cream of crab soup is pretty good. I also got the white sausage pizza, which was decent, and my girlfriend got the salmon, which I really liked. The price was really steep for what it was. You're paying for the view, and you can definitely get better food elsewhere for a much better price.

    I came here with a very large party of about 20 and we were one of 3 large groups the place was handling all at once. Despite our size, they managed to serve us all quickly, keep our drinks full, maintain the high quality of their product (food & mixed drinks) and not make us wait excessively between courses or for our bill. The food was awesome. I tried the soft shell crabs on the sauteed peaches, ate the crab cakes as my main course. I also had the vegetable crab soup & tried the calamari. I recommend them all. The steak also looked like it was cooked perfectly but I didn't get to try that. I skipped dessert and those looked pretty good (especially the chunky blondie browny & the creme brule). They even had a reggae band playing by the bar. Fun place, I need to go back & perhaps stay at a hotel so I can fill up on crab here & then walk across the lot to a very fun looking bar that was just hopping all night long.

    This was our third trip to this restaurant. I went specifically for the wonderful whole fried snapper, which inexplicably had been removed from the menu. The first experience was not so wonderful. They had just opened; there were only a few tables filled, yet they didn't want us to sit at a table with a view, because a party of more than two "might" come in. After a bit of wrangling, we secured our desired table and had a great meal. The second experience was fine. When we went this time, we noticed the parking lot was only half full. This was on a day when you could view boat races from their deck! We went in and were seated immediately, since the restaurant had many empty tables on a Sunday at dinner time. Although my desired entree was not available, I was prepared to ask if it could be. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity. We sat for 15 - 20 minutes without anyone ever offering a glass of water. After a waitress passed directly by us, TWICE, without ever making eye contact, or noticing that we had been sitting with no service, we got up and left. The young and oblivious hostesses said, "have a good evening", not realizing they had just seated us 15 minutes ago. We did have a very nice evening, at The Narrows Restaurant, just down the street. They were very happy to serve us and receive our patronage. Bridges, if you want to survive during the off-season, you had better do a good job during tourist season! We are local and your competiton is tried and true! Clean up your act!

    best sausage pizza ever.....Their version is called "White Sausage Pizza", suppose because there is no tomato sauce. The roasted tomatoes, spinach, fontina and mozzarella with goat cheese sprinkled on top are balanced perfectly....The sausage is one of the best Italian sausages I've had and they provide a descent amout...and growing up in Chicago where they specialize in "Sausage" pizza, that says a lot. (where can I buy this sausage or get the recipe? I hear it's locally made?) Ahi Tuna Sashimi is also one of the best I've had anywhere and also something I order every time. desperately want to try their other main dishes (which look fabulous), but I keep going back for the pizza.... A great Restaurant and great setting...Can't be beat, espeically when you can sit outside and watch the sunset. Worth the trip over the "bridges"...if you don't live on the island. The Manager Michael Moon is always friendly and makes you feel welcome. Gaby and I come for happy hour when we can. always great.. and enjoy the outside bar. (my only complaint if I have to be honest, is that sometimes they don't open the outside bar windows and serve at the outside barstools, due to the humidity and heat getting into the restaurant...bummer, since it's a beach bar. hoping that is not the norm though....most times i've been there the outdoor bar was open. But still 5 stars and one of my all time favorite restaurants.

    The patio and views at this restaurant can't be beat! If the weather hadn't been so incredibly hot and humid, this Midwesterner would have sat out there for a very long time. Warning: some may construe this as Maryland blasphemy, but here it is. I don't eat seafood. Since this was the only restaurant within walking distance of my hotel that didn't include the word "crab" in the name, they got my business. I started with this mind-blowing grapefruit mojito concoction that made me recall the beaches of Jamaica. It was so good I had two. I had the white sausage pizza for dinner, which was delicious and came with a nice treat of some goat cheese sprinkled on top. My server was so friendly and answered my questions without having to run back to ask the kitchen, as they so often do. Overall, this was the perfect dinner experience in the Kent Narrows neighborhood.

    We moved to Queenstown after our kids went to college and I have to say Bridges is one of my favorite parts of being "across the bridge". They have happy hour 4-7 (daily I think) and the happy hr menu has a roasted veggie pizza (thin crust, brick oven style) that is delicious for $8.50...nearly the same price as my market salad from Chick-fil-a with 100 times the atmosphere. Right on the water, the view is beautiful, they have live music and the white sangria just makes happy. Parking is easy and the staff is super friendly. Great place to relax. I love it!

    Bridges is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when I'm home visiting family in Maryland. The prices are on the high side but the food, atmosphere & view are worth it. I tend to favor Bridges when dining with adults only. There are other restaurants in Kent Narrows that are better suited to toddlers & school-aged children. The restaurant and menu are both modern and "upscale casual". Service is generally pretty good though they often seem understaffed during peak hours & times of year. On my most recent visit, our waitress had a trainee in tow - hopefully a good sign for the impending summer season! We started out with a shared appetizer of their new Coconut Shrimp. They were cooked nicely and had a mango dipping sauce. (I don't like mango so can't really comment much here...) There were many delicious items on the menu but 4 of the 5 of us opted for the lunch special: a grilled chicken sandwich topped with crab meat and cheddar cheese. Why isn't this permanently on the menu?!?! It was fantastic! I usually don't like cheddar cheese on chicken or crab so I decided to split one sandwich with my friend. One bite & I regretted it - I knew I'd want the other half... LOL! The whole table agreed it was a really great sandwich they would order again. The only dissenter in our group ordered the shrimp & grits - because it's his favorite dish at Bridges. We wrapped up our lunch with two desserts: the blondie and the lemon-berry cake. Both were yummy - the lemon cake refreshing & the warm blondie indulgent. All in all, a lovely lunch in a beautiful waterfront setting! I would go to Bridges more often if their prices weren't quite so "fine dining".

    Fabulous location, great outdoor seating, friendly service, just OK food. I had coconut shrimp which was OK, but was $13 for only 5 shrimp....could have got more for less at The Jetty next door, and it would have been just as good if not better. One of my friends ordered the crab cake, but requested risotto instead of mashed potatoes, which garnered her a dirty look but with a joke so we assumed it was OK. The other ordered the crab cake with the mashed potatoes, as listed on the menu. When they came out, the crab cakes looked as if they were falling apart, lots of wet filler and not a lot of crab meat. My friend who got hers with potatoes said hers was fine, but the friend who requested risotto said hers was full of shell pieces. Coincidence? Who knows......she refused to send it back though, so we may never know.

    I was so insulted with their service. Beginning with their hostesses, who obviously are not cultured. How dare they look crossed eyed at their customers and whisper? Then the waitress was not well mannered at all. It doesn't matter what the price of the food, any restaurant should treat ALL their clients in the same manner. Too bad the staff there are too young to realize every person should be treated with respect. Some etiquette training would go a long way there. Went there since a friend raved about their fish & chips and drinks. I've had better, so the other reviews about the water view was on target.

    First time here and it was great! There was a little wait for a Friday night but there was good music and we were able to get drinks and relax and watch the sunset. We didn't have to wait nearly as long as estimated which was awesome because we had our 6 year old with us. Kid friendly- slightly older crowd. We had the crab dip which was great and we didn't taste all cream cheese like at other places. I ordered the mussels in pesto cream for my meal and my husband has the crab cake small plate, son had pizza. Overall great pizza, great crab cake. My mussels had great flavor but were gritty and that feeling of chewing sand is like nails on a chalk board to me.... We can't wait to go back for lunch or another dinner. I highly recommend it!!!

    What I love about Bridges: - outdoor dining (when the weather allows it), esp. for sunset view - the seafood small plates - shrimp & grits, scallops & risotto, single crabcake - all plenty of food for dinner and delicious! - bbq pork shank! my mom got this on our last visit and it is HUGE and fall of the bone tender - half off wine bottle nights (weds & thurs) What I could do without: - always very loud in the bar area, which is why I prefer outdoors or furthest end of the dining area - expensive cocktails

    The restaurant seems to be a very popular hangout on beautiful days, and why not? The views are wonderful and relaxing. On the recommendation of a friend, we came here for dinner on the first warm day in April and the joint was jam packed. We were seated right away, but after that, it was all downhill. The service was friendly but poor, not because our server was bad, we just think the restaurant was understaffed. We ordered a refill of drinks when we got our entree, but never got them until 10 minutes after we finished our meal. The food itself was only fair. While the crab dip had lots of lump crabmeat, the base was too laden with cream cheese. We ordered rockfish for dinner and it was dry and overlooked. We opted against ordering dessert. Maybe as the summer progresses they will hire more people to handle the swell of customers. Oh, and the ladies room was out of toilet paper.

    We usually love this place. Lately, we've been less than impressed. I know it's the off-season, but I still expect the same quality as during the high season. I was really shocked when received the seared tuna app and it was stone cold. When I asked my waiter about it, he told me to was made some time earlier and then refrigerated. I sent it back. I won't be rushing back to this place.

    I wish we had half stars cause I would give it 4.5+ but I didn't feel good with just a 4 so had to go 5. I'm from NYC, but am often down to visit friends in the area at PRS. I've been to bridges several times, and most recently was on Valentine's Day. Every time I've been, it's been great and have totally enjoyed it. The weather this year was absolutely horrible, and we were supposed to go somewhere in DC for dinner, but being it became a sheet of ice in an hour and I was staying across the road at the Holiday Inn Kent Narrows (BTW, really well run hotel in a beautiful spot and recently renovated, and run by an awesome staff), I decided at the last minute to give a call and see if there was a shot at a table. They probably had some cancellations because of the weather but they did have a table but the kitchen was closing in 10 min. They were super nice and said they would hold the kitchen open for us if we could get there quickly. So we did! The price fixe dinner was a great deal for the holiday, especially considering it's not a very cheap place to start, but was still $20pp less than just about every decent place in Annapolis and DC. We ended up actually ordering a la carte but only because we didn't want too much food and the price fixe selection was basically the whole menu! Had Calamari which was cooked perfectly and very tasty, followed by a Salmon dish and Short Rib dish. Short ribs would have fell of the bone due to gravity if you picked it up, let alone with a fork. Really good, everything was delicious, and service was very good as well. All in all, great meal and not only saved the holiday dinner for us, but was great on top of it. Thanks!! BTW, during the warm months this place is a great spot for outdoor dining or outdoor drinks. Pizzas are really good (especially outside of NY :) I'll be back for sure!

    This place is nice. Great environment. Food is tasty. Wonderful view of the bay. See you inside and out. Nice bar with TVs. Careful if you don't like fish they don't have that great of a selection if you don't but the hamburger was good.

    My first day in Annapolis and some locals brought me here. It was a beautiful night, we sat outside and enjoyed the view. It felt like we were sitting in a postcard, breathtaking view. Service was extraordinary and the food matched. We had the Bruschetta as an appetizer and it was perfection! For our entree, I ordered soft shell crabs that were served over roasted corn, it was amazing! The others got salmon and mahi mahi. I'll put it to you like this, we were licking the plates. It was a great restaurant and I highly recommend it on your visit to Annapolis!

    Great location for a late lunch. Three seating options (dining room, patio, sun deck), fun decor, excellent view. Variety of menu options, with several crab dishes, most come with fries or salad for the healthy-inclined. Shining star: the crab pesto pizza is a must-have.

    Coming here at 3 pm on a Monday afternoon offers a much more peaceful environment and opportunity for great service - two things that I had. The beautiful setting - sunny day about 80 with an awesome view of the bay and the ships coming in gave me a vacation vibe that I loved. For food - I ordered the salmon BLT which was really tasty. The bacon was cooked to perfection - crispy not at all burnt and it married very well with the well spiced salmon. Surround this goodness with fresh brioche bread and fresh lettuce and tomatoes - what can go wrong? The side salad was also fresh with a very tasty and light dressing. My drink (which served as my dessert) was the "Bella Vita" martini. It was soooo good - the blend of limoncello (a personal favorite), sour mix and soda made for a tasty drink with just enough sweetness. I thoroughly enjoyed this eating experience - I will definitely stop back here again when returning home over the bay bridge!

    We met our daughter and her husband here for a Mother's Day Lunch. It was very busy but they honored our reservation immediately. The waitress was helpful and friendly. The food was extremely tasty and beautifully presented. We will return to Bridges again.

    Very disappointed . Crab soup was very good, but their version of a margarita pizza leaves a lot to be desired. Cheese bread with tomatoes on it? No thanks, I'll pass next time I'm in the area again.

    As usual the staff here are really friendly. I are from the happy hour me he, the clams were to die for!! And the pizza very good too......always a good experience here in Kent island. Try the bruschetta, it's also very very good

    My wife surprised me with a stop to this restaurant on our way to Oxford. No issues with the food or service. We both left stuffed and wishing we had room for their dessert which looked really good. I had the ribeye and couldn't finish it after splitting a tasty bacon salad and wonderful bruschetta with my wife. The lack of bread before the meal was a downside. The mojito I had tasted fresh and well worth it. We sat in the covered patio area and couldn't hear the band playing in the other room or see well out of the plastic window coverings between us and the Bay.

    Another great water viewing restaurant. Service - average to below average. Servers are order takers and don't know how to replenish drinks very well or check up on you either. :-(. Food runners run the food out but don't have an eye for the presentation or garnish. Very plane and boring. Drinks- VERY over priced. Small glasses didn't appear to be much liquor. The don't even muddle the mint for the $9.50 7oz mojitos :-( APP - Had the cream of crab soup. It was extremely tasty but cool. My partners bowl had a crust on it as if it had been sitting there to long. :-(. Dinner - Shrimp n Grits )small portion) was flavorful but had so much broth it was more like a soup :-( 5 nice size shrimp though! :-) I had the pizza, which was nicely done. For homemade. It is small 8.5" for $13.50 Over should be 2 stars but the view is worth 2 all alone. Get a bank loan if you plan eating and drinking here. The above pre tip was $80. (1 drink each)

    This place is pretty solid. I took clients here for lunch and everyone loved the food. I ordered the salmon club and it was really good. The salmon wasn't dry and the bread was just as good. The side of fries weren't bad either! The decor is casual but not too fancy. Lot's of seating and it's right on the water. Our server was nice and got the entire order right. She even remembered my side of BBQ sauce! I'm sure this place gets packed in the summer. I will be back!

    Have not been here since a visit when it opened. Still the noisiest place to eat but we lucked out and ate on the deck where we enjoyed a normal conversion. Service is mixed they had perhaps 6 servers serving one table each one the deck and then more inside. Service worked until our guy only had us on the deck, then was no service. Poor front of house management. As for the food it was quite good to great. Fire cracker shrimp app was fought over, the short rib looked great and the shrimp and grits primo with lots of heat. We tried the cream of crab soup YELP noted as good, but as the Narrows in view, they still have the best on the Island.

    Bridges is far too pricey to be as inconsistent as they are. One night you can get a decent meal and the next can be truly awful. All of the ambience and nice views mean nothing if the food is not consistently good. I have had my last bad meal there, I won't be back. Simply put if you go there you run the risk of getting a subpar meal that will cost you dearly.

    Went for late lunch yesterday after coming back from the shore. Heard some describe this as a tourist trap, but really it offers higher quality food with a nice view of the water. We had 5 in our group and service for drinks and the rest was not quick, so yes if you are in a hurry you would be better served picking a Subway or something like that. I had the crab cake sandwich for $15 which was fantastic. Yes, that's more than I typically spend for lunch but we were on vacation mode and again the taste was worth it. Two others in our group got soft shell crab sandwich specials which were equally spectacular. All came with a side salad or fries. Our other guests got the Waldorf chicken salad and a vegetarian pizza with no complaints. Over all, if you have the time on your trip to or from the shore and want some great seafood Bridges is a solid choice.

    we have been using yelp for quite a while and this is the first review we're writing -- because we've made our dining decisions based on honest reviews and feel one is sorely needed here. we are not strangers to KI or up and down the cheseapeake, both shores, and delmarva. note: for perspective, we were there for lunch around 2pm on a weekday and restaurant was barely half full. pros: - crab pesto pizza was delicious. lumps of wonderful crab with just the right amounts of pesto and cheese. hubby reluctantly shared a small slice of the generously-sized individual pizza, which was made with a very tasty dough that had a nice chew to it. original and satisfying. - spinach and arugula salad (for lunch, a few more greens would have been ideal) with PERFECT hot-off-the-grill sliced chicken breast added for an extra $6 was delicious as well. it came with strips of roasted peppers, what appeared to be homemade bacon crumbles, cherry tomatoes, a ball of crumbed-and-fried goat cheese (would have liked two; as described had impression goat cheese was an ingredient rather than a small two-bite tease. smaller than a golf ball.), a hard-boiled egg, and a tasty basalmic reduction dressing. cons: - while they have a decent beer selection our waitress didn't even know the price of a basic draft, let alone bottles. she had to get a list and then asked which ones i was interested in since the prices were all different. ??? (In all fairness, why doesn't the menu have beer prices listed, when a few pages later their nice wine list was broken down by categories and glass/bottle prices. i opted for a nice pour of a good chilled moscato at $7 instead of a medicore DRAFT for $6. - i was going to ask for some bread or crackers to go with my salad until we overheard other guests doing the same and were told (by another waitress) nothing was available. really? BREAD??? - beverages were served without napkins so puddles of water formed on the table (picky, but at an upscale restaurant this should be standard; our meal napkins were cloth). when we asked for water, it was brought with napkins - but only 3. waitress put the 3rd under my husbands beverage. i had to ask for one for under my wineglass after she was clearly leaving our table in a direction NOT towards more napkins. - our check was brought to us after my husband finished and i was little more than halfway through. again, upscale, weekday, lunchtime, not busy. we even commented to each other prior that it seemed like a very well-staffed restaurant, so we were put off by that. - hubby wasn't going to pay before i finished, but waitress made sure to take payment but felt comfortable leaving my then-empty plates in front of me, while hubby's was taken upon finishing. they were removed when she returned with cc slip for signature. - we ate inside yet were pestered by flies and gnats at the table. some bites of our meal were put aside as they landed on it - and got stuck. we think this could easily have been solved by closing the door that led out to the patio. - while flying bugs can and should be expected at any waterside restaurant, the huge biting flies crawling on the ladies room floor, only arising when they were disturbed, should not be. i willingly lost count at 12. would have given 3-1/2* because food was delicious, but 1/2's aren't possible and it did not rate 4* because of cons noted above. at this writing, we're not sure we'll go back.

    Came here for a work social event. They put us out on the patio and it was beautiful. Service was great, appetizers were good. Bartender kept serving us even after closing hour. Be sure you tip em.

    The place is very nice in and outside as it's next to the water (a great place for dinner and drinks based on the setup). I believe the food could of been better since all the food was prepped for a wedding rehearsal dinner for many. I would definitely come back if I am in the area. Staff and service was good. Spinach & Arugula Salad (was a hit to everyone around me). I think the fried goat cheese ball was what made it. The Short Rib was dry in my point of view and same with the Tequila Chicken as main dishes and a little on the bland side with the supporting cast of either starch or veggies. I believe it was dry based on being under the heather for awhile as the staff prepped for the party of 50 people which is why I would go back there again (if I am ever in the area).

    We are from the area and have tried many restaurants on KI and Annapolis. The view and restaurant itself is beautiful. Unfortunately the food is not good. We had the crab dip which looked nice - we were excited to see the lump crab meat on top, but were dissatisfied with the taste of too much clam juice. I had the fish and chips - which were awful, soggy and too much breading - coleslaw was bad - just mayonnaise. My husband had the margarita pizza which consisted of pita bread, mozzarella cheese, and sun dried tomato's that were rehydrated. Would have been a nice appetizer instead of a main meal for $13. My 2 year old had the hotdog and fries - hot dog was burnt, crusty, and extremely salty. She wouldn't eat it. Fries with my fish and chips and my daughters hot dog were good - but real greasy. My suggestion is to figure out what to specialize in and stick too it - they are trying too hard to try many different things thus suffering in the basics - small plates, seafood, pizzas, expensive suppers. I have been here three times and all the times have been not good. Don't waste your money.

    I believe I was taken to lunch here by my parents, who are always a fan of taking a drive on a nice day. (This was back in June, when we had this thing called "summer" going on...) I had scoped this place out one day when driving back from the beach. It's located on the Kent Narrows. Normally our favorite restaurant in that area is the Narrows, which fits my parents requirements to a "T". They like great food and a little bit of that classy, elegant, slightly elderly patron thing. Me, I like all that but sometimes a girl just wants to sit outside, eat something fried and drink and adult beverage. That cannot be done at the Narrows. Now, the Bridges is not exactly a dockside Tiki Bar (there is one of those on the Kent Narrows and I love it.) It's more like the Narrows (restaurant I just described) meets Yacht Club. Bright, airy and cheerful. The best thing is you can sit outside but under the shade - but those tables are popular, so make a reservation. Typical eastern shore seafood but they also have pizzas. Thatsa what I'ma gonna try next time. My mother really liked their cream of crab soup and she's a big complainer so take that for what it's worth!

    This place is great: Good decor, good drinks, and they have cheesecake and cobler of the day! The view of the water is also really enjoyable. It's a little pricey, but thd food quality is high!

    Wish it was light out and we could enjoy the view. This was a really nice place. Was empty so I always get concerned right off the bat. But it was a Tuesday night in November. Great oysters, large and good flavor. Had crab cakes that were 90% crab, love them like that. Real crab cakes for sure. Helps to go out to eat with folks who have been in this area on a regular basis!

    Went here the other night for dinner since I definitely didn't feel like eating the food next door. I got the small order of shrimp and grits and it was delicious! The grits had good texture and bacon, enough said. The red sangria was also tasty and pretty large. I liked the feel of the place too, kind of beachy but not overdone. Our server was funny and very friendly. I will come back next time I'm in the area.

    The best part about this place is the view! It is right on the water, and you can even sit outside. The drinks are tasty. The food is okay, but nothing spectacular. The salmon I got last time I went was a bit overcooked. All in all, this place is a great spot to stop for drinks and some apps, but I would venture elsewhere for dinner.

    I love to stop at Bridges on my way to the beach. It offers a nice respite after a grueling trip over the bay bridge. It's set on the water and the view - particularly at sunset - is just amazing. The food is good. I've ordered pizza and seafood and been pleased with everything. Nothing too extraordinary, but still very good. The prices are reasonable and they have great happy hour specials.

    I decided to give this place a shot after reading the great reviews posted on yelp! Thank guys:) I ordered the salmon BLT ($13) which was phenomenal. My girlfriend ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos ($16) which was good too. We came here during lunch because the dinner prices were out of our price range. But we loved the food so much that we went the next day. Good place to eat.

    Will go back for the Wonderful view and decent seafood. Bruchetta appetizer was on a nicely toasted baguette with pesto and chunks of warm tomato. Check plus. Avacado/crab salad was solid with a huge pile of crab meat. Check Swordfish special was a little heavy on the seasoning and so not the Best swordfish steak I've ever had, but we ate every last bite. Check. Enjoyed the Maryland crab soup as well. Check. Can't give it a five but it's a solid four when you consider the spectacular sunset everyone got to enjoy outside the large windows.

    We stopped in here since Kent Island is roughly halfway to my parent's house on the shore from D.C. and we like to stop at the different restaurants in the area. There are some great, authentic seafood places and Bridges is one of the newer additions. They're shooting for a bit more upscale and European style, but in a great location. The location is great, especially sitting out in warm weather and having a drink and meal while you watch the boats pull in from the bay. The food is by and large excellent. We had the grouper and the tuna, and both were fantastic. The bread was warm and delicious, the the soups were good too. Our waiter was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed sitting by the real fire. The biggest con of Bridges was the excessive prices for the amount of food.

    Great atmosphere...amazing service...and fantastic food! We went at the last minute and hoped we were dressed well enough (shorts and t-shirts). Although it is very classy it is also very casual and relaxed. They have a great view of the Narrows and a lot of outdoor seating. Our server was attentive and quick to respond to our requests. He provided very knowledgeable information on the food and his recommendations were excellent. I had the arugla/spinach salad which was OUTSTANDING and I would go back just for that alone, but I also had the salmon pizza - another excellent choice. Calamari was ok, but I have had better. Overall, the food was great and the service was even better. Great atmosphere and we will definately go back (next time with the kids). Pretty good value too...we had calamari, salad, 2 pizzas, one beer and 2 desserts...all for under $60.

    Our ignorant bartender walked by us twice before he bothered to ask us if we wanted a drink. Then we had to request that he wipe the slimy bar from the previous patrons. Then, no bar napkins???? Sorry not spending our money here anymore

    This restaurant has potential, but just not there yet. I am a local and was really excited to have another dining option because although I really enjoy the Narrows, Rustico, and occasionally Annies, I do a lot of business at restaurants and would rather not drive to Annapolis or Easton if I can avoid it. Anyway, I've had three meals there and I am not sure if I'd go back anytime soon. PROS: Awesome setting Staff is nice (but I do have a con about them) Inventive food (but there is a con about this too) High marks for great calamari with perfectly balanced Asian style dipping sauce that would rival some of the best Asian cooks I've met. Ample parking CONS: While there is a mix of some interesting food choices with stuff everyone would like (which is rare around here, and as a cook, I appreciate the taste adventure) - it misses the mark in some areas and leaves me a little...unfulfilled. The lunch menu is strangely limited. Really, I can't get salmon of any kind other than lox?? To make things worse, I am told that they have it on the dinner menu and no chance of getting that prepared now. Why did she even bother telling me? Come on! This is 2010 in America, and you are in the hospitality business. I did not want it for myself, but the client I want to impress wants it and at that moment I couldn't help thinking 'this would not be a problem at the Narrows'. Continuing with the food, they did have a really great duck sandwich with leeks and mascarpone cheese, which would have been heaven if it weren't so salty. This was surprising because the time before, I had the shrimp & linguine which sounded and looked fabulous, but had absolutely no flavor and was completely 'missing'. Next con: the servers. Though very friendly and kind, 2 out of the 3 different servers I've had have been frustrating. First visit was fine - obvious the guy was inexperienced, but he made it through fine and though there was some back and forth with him running back to the kitchen to ask, he was good. The other 2 servers seemed lost and I actually had to get out of my seat to track them down - and that is really something because normally we are talking business or gabbing away so it's not like we are sitting there waiting. What's more, there were times she did not understand what we were asking for (even though she literally just used the word in describing a menu item), left us waiting there for 15 minutes and comes out with something we did not ask for. Frustrating, and embarrassing for me that I had suggested the restaurant to my dining partner - 2 occasions with a client and the last with family visiting from outside the US. Finally, know that their napkins lint like crazy! Do not wear black! It is the kind of lint that requires super sticky tape to remove. Brushing off will not do. I made the mistake of wiping my mouth and the lint flew up into my nose, causing it to run. Of course, then I used the napkin to wipe my nose and it made it worse. Good golly, I was so annoyed. Anyway, this could really be a 4 or 5 star restaurant in time, but at those prices, I do expect more and would rather spend my $$ elsewhere until they do. The Narrows setting isn't as nice, but I know I am going to get great food, that my guests (locals and out of towners) will be sure to find something they'll enjoy, and that the wait staff know what the heck is going on. In fact, in the numerous times I've eaten at the Narrows, I can't remember one complaint, ever. (No, I do not work for the Narrows nor do I even know the owners - it's just that writing this review really makes me appreciate my local 'stand by')

    I really want to give this place a higher rating, I really do. The location is magnificent, right on the water with a full view of the bay (the restaurant takes full advantage of this location by having a great outdoor bar, and patio for dinning right on the water). The wait staff and bartenders are friendly and helpful, the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. But the food is average verging on bad. I'm going to guess that the chef is pretty new at this and this is probably his first time running a restaurant. The guy is clearly talented, but has no idea when to stop. Case in point was the carpaccio, the meat was delicate and well seasoned, but the chef didn't stop there, he had to drizzle three or four different sauces on the damn thing. Why? It's raw meat, it's delicate; I don't need to be tasting sauces when I eat it. The same lack of restraint can be seen with most of the other dishes, except for the seafood nachos, which are just plain bad (think seafood chowder poured over chips). I'm really hoping that the chef stops trying so damn hard to be 'different' and just starts cooking. This place has good potential, it's just being totally wasted.

    Nice dinner on the Saturday night before Valentine's Day. Place was bustling (no surprise there) but pleasantly so - sound wasn't overbearing and staff was still on top of everything. While it isn't the same as in the summer, the atmosphere was still very nice and cozy with a fire and open kitchen. Blackened tuna was great - I loved it, but the sauce may be too heavy for some that might want to order it on the side. We also got the chicken and shrimp, which was very good. Good value overall as dinners came with a veggie, starch and salad, and Sam Adams drafts were just $4.

    If you want a great view of the Kent Narrows and Prospect Bay to the south on a summer afternoon with a breeze from the southwest, this is the place to be. There's often live music on the weekends. Inside in the bar can get a bit loud, but I haven't witnessed anyone not having a good time b/c of it. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. One of the owners is Austrian, so get a Warsteiner or a glass of Austrian Gruener Veltiner. Yummy! Or try the homemade Limoncello. The food is very good, and if you ever knew of Julia's in Centreville, MD, then you might recognize the style, as that chef is here. You can come by boat or car.

    The best part of this restaurant is the view! Located right on the Narrows, it provides great views as boats transit the narrows and in addition provides a perfect view at sunset. Food is good and my favorite is the steamed clam appetizer.

    Go for the nice atmosphere and gorgeous views. The decor is fun, and the wait staff are friendly. The food is okay- I like the vegetable crab soup. I have had some hits and misses though. I haven't gone during the summer, and I haven't just gone for the bar, but I'd imagine the deck and bar are a good time during the summer months.

    Bridges is one of our favorite Maryland restaurants located on Kent Island. Food and service gets better with every visit. We enjoy the traditional Maryland seafood, I usually look for the Rock Fish entree. We were a party of four, asked the wonderful waitress Amanda about the wine selection, she was knowledgeable about each question. We were particularly impressed when my husband Richard didn't particularly enjoy his soup, a sweet and sour beef stew. Our waitress immediately offered him the restaurant's signature soup, the cream of crab, and the replacement appeared seamlessly without a hint of interruption in the meal. Appetizers were mushroom bruchetta and calamari, both of them highly recommended - the calamari was very light, not the least rubbery. One of our party ordered the lobster dinner, served with shrimp, a superb presentation, even impressive for three of us who are from Maine! A recommended dessert is titled "Blondie", a warm chocolate chip cake served with vanilla ice cream. Beautiful setting overlooking the narrows of the Chesapeake Bay, great place to enjoy Maryland hospitality and classic cuisine.

    AWESOME!!! this is the second time we have been there i think and both times it was great we had the house salad with vinegrette and feta it was great , we also had the white pizza and it was awesome !! we also had the hummus and it was not the best but we are not really into that kind of food.     I've visited on several occasions. Once for dinner and several times for lunch. As for the ambience - you will not find better on Kent Island (or maybe on this portion of the shore). The restaurant and deck are impeccably designed, it's really a treat just to be there and review the scenery. The exposed wood inside and the sliding glass doors that open up the restaurant fully are just perfect. Higher end materials and workmanship match the menu's pricing quite nicely. Plenty of large boat slips as well. The former chef of Julia's in Centreville, who i really liked, is now the head chef here. It's not quite Julia's, but some things will remind you of the style of Julia's for those that remember. For lunch, the menu is comprised of pizzas, a few pastas, salads and gourmet sandwiches. The pizzas are on a crispy crust and tend to be more adventurous, like asian bbq chicken. They are designed for 1 person, though 2 or 3 could share as an app. The sandwiches are accompanies with french fries (which I think are from frozen) or a well-dressed house salad. I go salad everytime. The sandwiches are all well made, though the star for me seems to be the blackened tuna, which is fresh and perfectly seared. A burger, a few wraps, fish tacos, and a few other selections offer plenty of options. The dinner menu replaces the lunch menu almost completely, with a few bar bites still left on. It's pricier but on a beatiful night, worth it. I leave 4 stars instead of 5 because, like many reviewers touched on, they seem to miss the details in the food. The bread is sometimes less than fresh; the pizza crust can be a bit bland - you know really picky things if you're a foodie. Overall, the food quality is good, though. A little more effort and I'd think they'd have it down. Someone said "think upscale California Pizza Kitchen". That misses the mark completely in my opinion. Think Upscale Dock Bar. I recommend going for lunch or a casual dinner first. Good food and the best upscale ambience on Kent Island right now, in my opinion. Enjoy!

    We've visited Bridges 4 times now. The first time was absolutely fantastic and we couldn't wait to go back. If I wrote this review that night I'd be giving them all 5 stars (maybe less because of the limited menu). The service was great, the food was great, the menu is limited though. However the service and food has slowly been declining since our first visit. The food isn't consistent (not just in quality, but in how it's made) and it's obvious that the wait staff has been reduced (the first time we visited there must have been 3 or 4 wait staff for every table). I would consider this place an upscale California Pizza Kitchen without a lot of choice.
