I stop in about once a week after work to grab a bite. I agree with one reviewer ... why stand in a long assembly line at Chipotle when the food here is just as good if not better. Plus, very courteous and friendly service ... and free chips / salsa bar. This past Saturday, I ordered the Chicken Taquitos party pack. Came with a really good salad and all the necessary trimmings. Was a hit at the party. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. Yesterday, they had issues with their POS machines. They weren't reading debit/credit cards. After a several unsuccessful attempts before getting the food, and after eating, the manager simply said to pay next time I come in. Very cool.

Positive changes have been made here. The dining area was updated. No more worn out seating. Everything was well maintained and clean. The place was close to packed for lunch. Food was coming out in a timely manner. The salsa bar was well stocked with fresh condiments. My salad entree was well prepared. The salad items were cold and fresh tasting. The generous portion of chicken was warm, juicy and well seasoned.

I'm assuming the gentleman screaming out the order numbers at the top of his lungs is because people aren't paying attention most of the time, but in terms of ambiance, it's terribly distracting. If you can get past that, there are a few good things. The salsa bar is nothing short of amazing and easily the best thing about this place. The portions are huge, you definitely get what you pay for. My nacho platter was just okay. They skimped on the cheese and put what seems like an entire can of beans on it. I would have preferred a combination of real melted cheese and some queso. Half way through my nachos the cheese was hard and cold. My table was dirty and the tray I was served my food on was also dirty. The selling point here is really bang for your buck. If you want just decent food for not much cash, Baja Fresh is a good bet. Keep your expectations low and maybe you'll be surprised.

This location is disappointing. The fish in my fish taco was dry, overcooked. The shrimp tacos had 3 little shrimps in it. The tacos were mainly filled with cabbage.

Stopped in for a quick to-go burrito. Was not disappointed. The cashier (Josie?) took my order with smile, and the other smiling lady handed me my order in less than four minutes. The burrito was good, not great, but more than acceptable. The salsa bar, again, was not great but good enough. I will return.

A nice and clean place to order some fast food and eat there. This place is one of the nice ones of the Baja chains. It's newer and cleaner, the food comes out pretty quick and the staff is nice. However, out of the bajas in the area - some reason this one never tastes as good at the other ones. Overall it's a nice place to go for Baja if you're dining in. If you're getting take out than the interior shouldn't be too big of a deal. The food is good depending on what you get, my favorite is the taco salad.

Wow!!!! What a turn around. Previously I rated the establishment as 3/5 stars....but after I was contacted by the general manager for my moderate experience and he expressed his apologies I have to give Baja Fresh 5/5 stars!!! It feels good to know that they care about customer service and repeat business! Since my first visit I have eaten at Baja Fresh again and the food was amazing and fresh (I was so full lol). I will be back soon for more tacos! Yum!

I don't understand all of the positive reviews of this place. The food is mediocre, and the prices that they charge are out of line with the products that they are serving. The pico de gallo, for example, looks pale. I understand you can't always have seasonal vegetables, but come on. All of their food isn't bad, but you can't expect to thrive in such a competitive business such as the restaurant business when you're serving a two taco combo with plastic-tasting black beans for $7, and expect people to pay for a drink as well. I'll take your Malibu Barbie Dream House sized water cup instead, thanks. For average Mexican food, you can get a Chipotle burrito that will put you in a food coma. I hate to be that person, but it's true.

The food is good and always fresh. I like the salsa bar with all the different types of salsa, plus their menu has more selections then Chipotle.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I tried the new Bonfire Bowl and it was amazing. The quality and taste of the food was like home cooked food. The place was clean and the service was fast.

I like it. The food is very good, fair price, and there are healthy options. I generally don't want cheese/dairy and my mexican food, and most places screw this up, but Baja Fresh never has. They always get it right. The food is genuinely grilled - and you can taste the difference. The people are friendly. My only criticism would be that it's not the most physically comfortable place. But I go about once a week, and that says it all.

My meal was perfectly good for a Baha Fresh, and the service was friendly. However, my water (or maybe the ice in the water) tasted disgusting....

I used to love this place and go here all the time, a few months ago I would have given them 5 stars. But lately their food quality seems to have changed, smaller portions, not as fresh. I still liked them so I kept going. But the last three times I have eaten there I have become very ill. I hate to say this, but I recommend everyone avoid them. My friends have told me the same thing regarding food poisoning after eating there.

5 stars because it's the only place I can think of that serves a filling healthy meal so reasonably. I usually get a Baja style taco de carnitas and a plate of rice and beans which is plenty for me...and I like to eat The staff is very efficient and friendly--they always give you some fresh chips while you wait the short time for your order to be filled. I particularly like the salsa molcajete in the fresh salsa bar. This place reminds me of an "upscale" taqueria" near where I lived in Mexico City in the 1970's.

Nice and clean. Food seems healthy but needs some spicing up for better flavors. Not cheap.

My husband and I eat at Baja Fresh about once every month. Very good food, and friendly service. The manager was helpful for all my questions on catering our event. We had them cater for our Volunteer Celebration lunch. They delivered promptly and the food was still hot. The delivery guy was courteous and even stuck around to help us figure out the best way to set it up. We had a lot of complements on the food, and the portion sizes were generous. Would recommend this to anyone needing some fun, fast food without the hassle of preparing it yourself.

I don't know why all you suckers are standing in a 20 minute Chipolte line a couple blocks away when Baja is here waiting to serve you a fresh made burrito with no line and a wait that is just long enough for you to enjoy some free chips and choose from 6 different house made salsas! Yumm! Okay, I'm a little punchy because I'm just off a grilled fish Baja style burrito with some spicy diablo sauce that kicked butt! So, I get it, Chipolte food is good and they serve you a burrito the size of a Pomeranian... but they charge you $3 to put a little guac in there, the line is to the door EVERY day, and the chips aren't free. The new Baja Fresh menu presents 5 different burritos, 6 different meats and you can mix and match the ingredients however you want. And two of those are shrimp and fish...and you can get that fish grilled or fried. A seafood burrito, are you kidding me?!? They don't skimp on the meat and if you get the Baja burrito, guess what....the guac comes with it! It's a lot of food, it's made fresh, and you're not eating it on prison furniture. They both serve good food, but Baja has more meal options and if you want to get away from the "fresh" look they'll cover that sucker in enchilada sauce, more cheese, and broil it. That's not my first choice but I see you people head down, fork and knife in hand, going to work on those monstrosities every time I'm in there. They have grilled soft tacos, which look good, but are frankly a little more expensive than the authentic mex places which charge $2.5 a taco and here they are $9 for two, including rice and beans. The salads have been good in the past, kids eat for 99 cents on Mondays, and I'm glad we have this alternative to choose from. Now just stop trying to sell me that stupid refillable cup. You know it isn't going to be with me or clean when I want to use it and everyone I work with doesn't need to know I bought the collector's cup.

Ok, sadly I had to update because I see a trend here since my last update, first I am sooo disappointed with the salsa bar, the pico de gallo tastes very very industrial, as in it's not fresh! The tomatoes were very bland, a good, salsa you can taste the lime juices. And other seasonings, this tasted like it came directly from some food, order, company. The sauces are very watery now than chunky like In the past and at other locations. What I didn't like, is i was about to be waited on, I guess the guy in red was the manager, and kept leaving me, to help another cashier, I don't mind helping but a excuse , I will brb. Or I'm sorry, and he had to start all over with my order. I order,a steak tacos and when I got,my food it was pink!!! I sent it back that lost a star, my hubby got a fish taco and it was a dry! The pinto beans were hard. Yuck,. I'll give it one more shot . But this location is beginning to lose it's passion that it once had. I hope they improve but seriously, the undercooked meat that they gave me is inexcusable. What if I had my order to go and I had a burrito where i couldn't see the meat ? I would have gotten very I'll.

Great food and good customer service. I've gone there for years but the new management has really made eating there more pleasant. The most recent time I was there I ordered the taco trio. It had one fried mahi, one grilled mahi, and one shrimp taco. They were all delicious! Love how they have unlimited chips and salsa.

Just finishing dining with my kids here. The food is always good but the service we received (I believe from the manager, wearing a green dress shirt) was outstanding. He took note of my name and called me by name and not by number. He brought the food to the table. The new grilled shrimp tacos are so yummy and all the different salsa made them even better! My kids enjoy the chicken tacos because the chicken is not spicy at all!

I concur with Gina from the last review. The service here is excellent & the food is good. It's clean & bright, they move the lunch crowd through pleasantly & efficiently.

If only we could give half-stars, I'd give it 3.5 stars. I gave it a four because of friendly service. Otherwise, this particular location was messy. Some signs were missing from the overhead menu. The menu itself wasn't very clear or there weren't enough information. Otherwise, the food was good. I had chicken quesadillas. There wasn't anything special about it. Just chicken, cheese and tortilla. My partner had the chicken fajita. I had some of his rice. I was surprised that it was packed with flavor. We had chips and salsa. The chips were alright but the salsa was disappointing. It just felt like a plain place. There was a salsa bar, offering only 4 different salsa. There's a fountain drink stand nearby. And that's it. There's nothing appealing on the walls or anywhere else to make this place attractive or trendy. You might as well as eat at your school's cafeteria. However, the friendly service really made up for the lack of decor. They were quick to provide service. They kept themselves busy in the kitchen. When things were slow, the cashiers helped out the cooks behind. They did come out and did their best to tidy up the place. Otherwise, it wasn't a bad place to eat but not the best.

Garbage....I wanted a burrito so I stopped here. Worst food decision I've made....I had to use 6 cups of salsa and hot sauce just to make it tolerable....puke. Wish I could give them zero stars.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
