Fast service and all of the employees were very friendly and helpful! The woman who rang me out told me all about the rewards program and got me signed up. I will definitely be back.

Had a pizza there this past Saturday, I was disappointed with the quality of the ingredients. The dough was under cooked and the cheese was not very good. Not many people there on a Saturday night. I guess I'll give it anotger try but maybe not?

I headed to Pie Five after learning of the concept from co-workers. It's located in a new shopping area and is surrounded by some other restaurants and shops. Its obviously a growing, upscale part of town. I arrived after the lunch rush on a rainy Saturday so had time to look over the "create your own" or "standard" pizza offerings as well as the salad menu. I went with the make your own...what they call "My Pie" and started with the Whole Grain Thin crust and added Tuscan Marinara sauce, pepperoni, ham, cheese blend, olives and sun-dried tomato (ok...my concoction isn't for everyone). During selection my pie was assembled by a very helpful and smiling young man who was patient with me and others who were experiencing the place for the first time. All the ingredients looked/tasted fresh. The pie went through the oven and was in my hands in about 5 minutes. And, even if I have to say so myself, it was tasty and colorful. Overall impressions: The restaurant is apparently relatively new, very clean and orderly. The staff was friendly and the "process" was fascinating to the children who were there. The other customers ranged from a few couples to a multi-generational group of 11 and all seemed to enjoy the visit. Pie Five would be a great place for the "office lunch to go" as anyone could create their own pizza (or salad) and the service is fast. A significant number of to- go orders passed through during my lunch. The atmosphere, concept, timing and staff are far superior to the usual pizza places. I'm giving it "5" Yelp rating thanks to excellent execution of the concept, cleanliness, good value and a smiling staff. Next time I'm having a slice of the cookie pie!

It wasn't just good. It was damn good! You build your own pizza, from crust to sauce to toppings, and they then pop it into the oven. Think of a Chipotle or Subway but with pizza and quality ingredients. It was worth every penny and we will be back.

We love Pie Five. You can't beat the price for yummy made to order pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza is to die for. The High Five, all the meats, is great. Especially delicious with extra veggies. Fresh brewed tea finishes off the meal!

I've eaten here twice and it continues to impress. I popped in the first week Pie Five opened and as expected, it was everything I was looking for in a pizza - quick, inexpensive, and had a wide selection of fresh ingredients. The only suggestion I had at the time was that the pizza could have been warmer (I tend to like my food at scolding temperatures). Tonight, not only was a happy that the quality of the pizza remained the same, but I was also pleasantly surprised that my pizza met my temperature standards and that I was still greeted by their friendly staff. I frequent Frederick often and will continue to brave the traffic on Route 26 so that I can test out all of the crust/topping combinations that Pie Five has to offer!

This was a fun place to try! kind of like a subway for pizza... the kids had fun picking their own toppings the pie size was good for a single meal price was good the only issue i noticed was even with all those toppings the pie was kind of bland so for fun and concept I would give it 5 stars but flavor was just OK it seems to be missing something... maybe if they used butter on the crust or something like that it would help

I will preface this by saying I did *try* to do the right thing. I tried contacting the company and sending them a photo of my most pathetic personal sized pizza that was $9+, appearing as if a 5yo made it himself! The email was most diplomatic specifically stating that I was an unhappy customer and even though they had been open for several months, they possibly needed to retrain their employees on how to properly fix a pizza. I did not receive any reply, nor any acknowledgement. It was ordered Nov 12, so this review is past due. GF crust, which did cost extra, was decent, some crunchiness, but overall a bit rubbery. You know that taste when you freeze bread for a while then thaw it? That's what it was like. It had some olive oil and garlic which lent it some flavor. But the rest of the pizza was an utter joke. There were minimal toppings, the cheese barely covered any of the slices. It was not worth the time, the money, nor the taste. My husband also got a separate pizza as well, can't remember which, and his was 'meh.' Overall, not worth a trip back. Save yourself some money, and if you'd like real pizza, visit Pistarro's in downtown Frederick.

Awesome place! Five pie-- pizza in 5 minutes is there Moto. The set up is similar to Chipotle, Sweet Greens and many more. The food is made to order and it was very good. I got the buffalo pizza and it was something I want to come back and get again. They did salads and dessert but I did not get them-- but next time I will. For me it did not fill me up, but it was satisfying. It cost me about $8+ with tax. I will come back again for more. They do not have large size pizzas, just personal pizzas. Their reward program is awesome. Make sure you sign up when you get in the first time and use their free wi-fi! Kris

You get the pizza fast, except it's not fast food. The toppings are real. The sauce is so good. And the cheese is amazing. Go to Pie Five today.

Make your own pizza ! My husband and I visited five pie on a Sunday evening. It was empty initially but later filled in. Being vegetarian eaters, there were a gazillion options to choose from - choose your crust, then your sauces, next are your cheeses and then the toppings to make your own pizza and its ready in probably less that 5 minutes. We loved it, great taste and flavors for our spicy taste buds and definitely recommend going again.

Got the deep dish BBQ Chicken - back when they first opened. It was very tasty and all the toppings tasted really fresh. The pizza crust was just right, not hard or too soft. The price is a good value and the pizzas are a good size. They even stock Cholula, which I can't get at other fast food places. I'll certainly be back.

Quick. ..yummy. custom pizza. I like the very thin crust. It is a bit pricey so probably won't hit here all the time. .. but for a quick pizza craving it did the job well. Staff was also very friendly.

Dear Foodies: I have eaten at this location on many other occasions. So when I see that an associate of the store was let's say less than friendly it's time to let it be heard. The issue was not with the pizza assembly person. It was not with the person pulling the pizzas from the oven, it was the cashier Sam I Am. You see two of us got fountain drinks one got water. We asked politely if we could have a larger cup for water. Well the reaction from the female cashier was as if we had asked for the meal to to free and one of disbelief that we would not just get water and almost accusing us of trying to pull a fast one. I find it hard to understand this reaction and practically accusing us of getting something we did not pay for. Hey owners of this operation, not everyone is out to rip you off. Even if we had taken the small cup, it still looks like the other cups and could be used to get a fountain drink. So overall the rating above is not for the food or service but rather the accusation look and attitude from the female cashier thinking we were going to do something dishonest.

Pie 5. Finally decided to give this a go. Walked in and noticed that this place does everything for $7.99 so that's not bad at all. No fees for extra toppings and such unless you want gluten free crust.. And why would you... I mean really. So far so good. Ordered my food and watched it get made. The make table girls are really good at making sure there is enough of what you like on it. However, the toppings mostly were floating on top of the cheese and not really anchored down.. Well that's not too bad.. Once i got home and dug into the pie i noticed that something was missing. Flavor. everything was bland and MEH from start to finish.. Very under seasoned and under flavored. The crust was very bland and boring.. Best thing i can say about this food is that it didn't taste bad.

In all honesty, we really only ended up here because we won a free pizza at a charity event. We never actually paid much attention to the place before. It turned out to be pretty good! My fiance ordered one of the signature pizzas and I created my own. All pizzas are personal size. They also offered salads and dessert. We decided to take our pizzas home, as the seemingly miserable employees were making the atmosphere a little bit depressing. Both pizzas were very good and the perfect size. I really liked the thin crust option. We will probably visit again.

Pie Five Pizza Co. is AWESOME! I checked this place out on opening day and was not disappointed. All pizzas (with the exception of plain cheese and kids' size) and entree salads are $7.99 with the option to bundle a drink and side salad or dessert with your main dish for an additional $2.99. They have a number of "pre-designed" pies or you can create your own from their array of crusts, sauces, cheeses and toppings. I had the buffalo chicken pizza on the classic pan crust. The buffalo sauce had the right amount of kick. Toppings were generous. I added the Italian side salad, which had pepperoni, onions, grape tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. The pizza cooks in about 5 minutes, hence the name. They also have a rewards card program where you can earn free pizza! You also get a free pizza on your half-birthday. I'm excited to go back and try more combinations!

Still rather bland. I tried the thin crust, and chose the spicy sauce this time. Though it had a kick, it didn't taste like pizza sauce--no tomato flavor, no herbs. The cheese was still thick and tasteless. The roasted tomatoes that I chose as one of the toppings had great flavor. Why can't the sauce also have this? I can see why people like it--for the concept--but as I said before, when Uncle Maddios comes to town, I'm not sure how this place will hold up. Its edible, but so is convenience store pizza.

Just opened a few days ago, I'd love to give a fiver to the newly opened Pie Five, but I'm a bit reserved at the moment till I try a second pie. I will start off by stating, love the idea and concept; hate the location. But anyone who has read my reviews on other eateries in the same shopping plaza will attest, I'm not a fan of access, and traffic in to or out of the area. With a modern and lively interior, Pie Five follows the current trend of hipster styled dark interiors, with open facilities layout, all so common today with mid-tier QSR establishment. Friendly staff make for a pleasant start to the ordering process.I ordered a pan with spicy marinara sauce with bacon and cheese. Ordering was quick, and painless as was the payment process. The wait as to be expected was within ten minutes. Upon eating my pizza, I was however disappointed with the quality of the ingredients. The bacon tasted quite similar to bacos, however to be fair, it was shredded bacon bits used. The cheese however was quite sad. I was immediately reminded of the cheese used at Say Cheese or CiCi's; maybe even little Cesar's. The sauce was a little watery, not as bad as it could have been. I will give credit where do, their sauce is actually mildly spicy; not overly spicy, but enough that some may find it overpowering (I did not). The deep dish crust was so-so. One point to note, Pie Five opened across the street from the well established Coal Fire pizza, one of my top picks With very similar concepts with different execution, it will be interesting to see how Pie Five holds up against Coal Fire as well as some of the newer more artisan pizza joints that have opened up in recent years in the area. Any time a new pizza joint opens up, it's good news to me, so I do intend to re-review with a second pizza hopefully soon with a different sauce and toppings. Stay tuned, I may revise the star ratings either way. ----------------------------------------------- UPDATE (7.SEPT.14): ok second trip update. I have bumped up a star from three to four (3.5 actually, but I rounded up). I was a little happier with the second pizza. Bit there is still a ways to go before being where it needs to be. This time I went with a BBQ chicken on flatbread crust and held the onion bit had cilantro instead of magic dust or whatever that's called. Again the dough was undercooked resulting in a soft crust which is clearly not what a flatbread pizza should be. I expect this is due to an inexperienced staff and hope this will improve with time. And again, I have to reiterate that the shredded provolone and mozzarella is still a bad blend. My experience this trip was a little better than the last with regard to the pizza by getting in and out still sucks. I'm not sure or not if I'll be a regular. The price-quality ratio is not in my particular liking. I guess future check-ins will tell.

Stopped by on my way home. Was torn between the buffalo chicken pizza and a cheese. I decided to go with cheese to see if it was any good. As if one has a good cheese pizza then one can build off that. I went with a thin crust. It came out a little burnt. Was offered to try thier magic dust, which is a mixture of cheeses and Italian seasonings. Pizza has decent flavor and may try again. However i find for a personal pan pizza its a little costly.

Simple concept.......Done well. You make your own fresh personal pizza. Similar to restaurants like Chipotle, you pick your crust, your sauce, your toppings, and in 5 minutes you have your own pizza. Add a salad and a drink and you have a quick tasty meal.

Pretty nice pizza here. Have gotten the "Athenian" and the "High Five" multiple times, both very good. Cleanliness is average for a pizzeria. Seems to be based more on the flavor of the food rather than making you feel nice and full like Pizza Hut or other chain pizza places.
