I dont usually rate commercial restaurants but I have to make an exception on this one. Our server Nicholas was one of the most kind, respectful server I have ever met! he's very attentive and his positive energy is just amazing. I travel for a living and have met all sorts of servers from rude to topnotch. The service he provided was exceptional. The food are really good also! it was warm and really delicious! The italian doughnut with chocolate and rassberry dip is my new favorite. the endless breadstick was freshly baked and the salad was also good!

I love olive gardens .. This location is so far the best one I've been to . 30 mins wait . Too long ! I'm hungry ha .The waitress was wonderful . One of the best waitress I had . She's Lebanese . Everyone who works here is friendly . We had to go salad . I like how the salad dressing was separate from the salad . They also gave us forks for the salad for take out . I will be back . Thanks for the great experience .

We went here for lunch for starters we were seated. As we reviewed our menus we noticed no specials were listed. When our waitress arrived we asked her about the divided and she told us there were none. We told her we just received an email about their two for $25. Then she says well that should be in your menu, I say well it's not. The hostess did not give us the insert with the lunch specials. So the waitress apologizes and goes to get the special menu. Now her attitude changed because at first she was mean we are just asking about the specials. Anyways our appetizer was to die for the cheese dip with Bruschetta. She got a berry sangria it was perfect. I had spinach rotini and the wifey had Alfredo it was great and we finished the lunch with tiramisu. It did not taste like tiramisu to us it taste like those almond bars you buy at the grocery store.

Endless pasta pass was a complete scam sold out in zero seconds? Garbage food with no seasoning except plenty of excess salt. All of Darden restaurants are trash.

I hadn't been to Olive Garden in YEARS and didn't know that I was missing! The food was great!! Our server Sara was awesome!! Hubby was stuffed and he's the type to want to get something to eat when we get home from a restaurant lol. He said the tortellini was the best.

I walked in with my family and was quickly seated even though it was past 5pm. Our server, Ben, was quick to bring our food, drinks, and check(when asked). He was kind and wet attentive. I would come back and def ask for him!

This place is always on a wait. They should build a bigger restaurant to keep up with the demand. Other than that, the food is awesome!!! I always get the tour of Italy when I come here and eat plenty of the bread and salad.

I love Olive Garden for their soups, salads and bread sticks! Its been my americanized itailian favorite since I was a child. In all the many many times at the Olive Garden, this one is by far the worst. Who waits at the table for over an hour waiting for a chicken marsala? The server was disrespectful talking to other customers for minutes on end and not checking on my food the kitchen numerous times. Can we say, broken record on the wrong track? Honestly do not visit the olive garden in Frederick, MD. Even if you love the Olive Garden! Burned chicken marsalas suck!!

The New $12.99 offer is misleading. Not a great selection.

I love Olive Garden. This time I should have gone to their competitor's. I ordered a chicken marsala, and showed up right on time. The bartender said the server was on the phone and would be with me shortly. Two other serves came to the bar and sat at a table. After ten minutes I finally said "Isn't there someone else who could ring up my order?" A man appeared a few minutes later and rang me out. The server on the phone walked back to the kitchen and brought out my bag saying "It was back there on the table all this time." No kidding. When I finally got out of there after 20 minutes and home, dinner was cold. And who serves poorly fried potatoes in an Italian restaurant with Marsala? Shouldn't it be pasta? Never again. There are too many good restaurants in this area to tolerate poor to mediocre.

Had a great time here. The food is good and came out hot and promptly. The service was great the only issue I had was my spirit was more like a club soda.

I've always been a fan. I live where there aren't any chain restaurants. That being said it was nice to have some good old fashioned comfort food. Got the tour of Italy. As good as always. GF got a dish that she didn't care for, and they took it off without us asking. Wasn't bad, she just didn't care for it from the first and only bite.

Server Ben ROCKS!!! he got slammed with 5 tables all at once, after 9pm on a weekday, and his service was impeccably flawless!! The food was good too :)

At here for lunch last weekend. While it was okay, it was bland. I ordered the fetticnine Alfredo and my friend ordered the tour of italy. The service was okay had a great server, I've certainly had better experiences from OG. Bread sticks came out cold, but the salad was spectacular.

I cant believe I havent reviewed the Olive Garden as much as I eat there. Sadly, I have to give it one star thats because the service was great BUT the quality of food is horrible: Here is why: Through the years I see that Olive Gardens quality of food as changed for the worse. I can almost be 100% certain that the breadsticks are not homemade. They are the types that come frozen and all you need to do is heat and serve with a light coating of parmasan cheese. The house salad: A joke. Like the other person who posted said, you are lucky if you get olives. I didnt get one in my salad :(. The tomatoes were not ripe and the lettuce was so watery and very skimpy on their secret dressing. The pastas: are over cooked. Since when spaghettis stick together like clay? Since when raviolis are hard and crunchy? Sauces: Tomato sauce based: taste very industrial and not homemade like. Alfredo base sauce: a joke. Very thin and watery. Desserts: SKIPPPPP THE DESSERTS.. DONT EVEN FALL FOR THE CHEAP $2.50 DESSERT CUPS. SAVE IT FOR ROY ROGERS OR DQ. They are being copy cats to PF Changs. The desserts are horrible. The zeppoles are joke. It seems that the Olive Garden has definitely cut corners to save on cost to maximize profit. The food is horrible. But the service is great. A+ to the waiters and waitresses. If it wasnt for their humbleness and great attitude I would have asked for the check after the salads.

I have been here several times and always have had a decent experience. Last night was even better than that- after a short wait (about 20 minutes, we did get there at about 6 PM on a Saturday so some wait was expected) we were seated and had a really nice dinner experience. The smoked mozzarella fonduta was really good. I had two of the "Tastes of Italy" small plates and they were absolutely wonderful! The crispy risotto bites and the tortellini al forno were delicious and even though they are small the two combined were very rich tasting and filling. My son had the kid's mac and cheese and it was not just the "easy mac" variety- it was a large portion of nice cheesy shell pasta. He had a side of mashed potatoes that were so good that after a taste I ordered my own side of them too. As always a decent salad bowl and breadsticks rounded out a good meal. Our server Jason was super professional and attentive. I think this particular Olive Garden has gotten better over the years!

The food was the normal stuff you would get at most any Olive Garden, but the service was great. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. They were more than willing to cater to my diet, which is a plus because when someone hears vegan they normally roll their eyes.

Waited 25 min, but had very nice experience at the bar. Waiter, Ron, was great with suggestions. I had Seafood Bordatto, excellent with delicate flavors and good portion. The classic Olive Garden salad was great and refilled instantly. Follow that with a good price for two and we could not be happier. For the price, this Olive Garden is exactly what we wanted. Hostess to support staff were all attentive and committed.

We ate there on Father's Day and the place was packed. We were told it would be about 45 minutes for our party of 5 and were seated in just over 20. As busy as they were, I have never received better, more attentive service. Our server, Jeane not only saw to all our requests but anticipated our needs down to a wet napkin to wipe off my sticky 3 year old after dessert. Best. Service. Ever. The food was outstanding and everyone loved their meals. We all had something different and took turns sharing bites. The outstanding dessert was the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake. Olive Garden can be hit or miss depending on a lot of factors but this was our best visit ever. Ask for Jeane! (Pronounced genie)

great food and awesome service! We were seated right away, no wait. Managers walking around checking on guests. Everyone was very friendly! Food was good enough to get to go boxes. Waitress even gave us a whole order of bread sticks to go!

Olive Garden makes me want to kill myself. We came up from Gaithersburg to the Frederick location the night before Valentine's Day (yes, our mistake) because my husband loves Olive Garden, and I was willing to make the sacrifice in the name of romance and love (or something). We waited 1.5 hours. 90 minutes. 5400 seconds. For salad I could make myself and overcooked pasta? [Here is where I cry] Everyone that loves Olive Garden goes batsh*t for the salad and breadsticks--a bowl of lettuce with ho-hum toppings and once-frozen breadsticks? Am I in the twilight zone? Whatever, hubby eats 2 giant bowls by himself, and he's happy. During this visit I ordered the Tour of Italy, and he ordered the Steak Gorgonzola pasta (or something). The Tour might as well have been cafeteria food, and that's all the effort I would like to waste on that. Scott enjoyed the steak pasta dish. I think my feelings should be hurt because my Italian is just as good if not better than this! In my memory Olive Garden was somewhere that you kind of dressed up for. Well, not really dressed up, but not somewhere you wore sweatpants. Well, I guess I missed the memo, because the Frederick Olive Garden is somewhere you CAN wear sweatpants, because I saw a good number of sweatpants and sweatshirts. I also tend to avoid anywhere that there are screaming kids, but Olive Garden must be the exception to that rule (again, for the sake of LOVE). So our 2-person table was squeezed between a table of sweat-clad Frednecks and a table with 3 toddlers. Great. Super romantic.

Our pasta was bland and heavy, very mediocre. Appetizers looked like they came out of a freezer bag w freezer burn. I doubt there is any real cooking going on at Olive Garden. Pricier than I expected too; we had two pasta dishes, 1 appetizer and a soda and our total came to $73. Service was great though. I'd be reluctant to go back.

We drove from Silver Spring to Frederick just because the bf's favorite place is the Olive Garden -- we had a good 20-25 minute wait. Prepare yourself for some wonderful people sighting -- mullets flying everywhere, 19-20 year olds wearing shorts and flip flops in 30 degree weather..yeah.....Um, anyway, on to the service. Service is what gave this a 3 star review - our waitress was utmost professional, chatted with us for a bit, made us feel at home. I ordered the lasagna, the bf ordered gnocchi with chicken -- it was well done, tasted great. Our salads came fast, with breadsticks too. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the service was great. The only downside I would have to say is that the main area where people are waiting to be seated could use a bit of an upgrade and perhaps be a bit more organized when seating large groups.

We are regulars and it is great, especially with kids. Be prepared for a wait on weekends but we generally put our name down and then head over to Barnes and Noble across the street. It's a nice family oriented restaurant and the food is pretty good, prices reasonable.

If i could give this place 0 stars, i would. Your better off opening a can of Ragu over old pasta. If you want real italian food - try Nidos in Frederick. Incidentally, no olives or gardens at Olive Garden - what a shock.

Bout an hour long wait for our party of 4. Service was Good+, but not great since we had to ask for refills. Food was yummy (gorgonzola steak Alfredo), breadsticks were dry -like I was worried someone was going to actually choke-overall experience good, not great.

I'm not in to the hype. I've eaten here twice and both times service was slow, pasta under cooked, and the flavors were bland..

The other Olive Gardens I've been to have been great but not outstanding. The best part of the whole meals are usually the bread sticks and salad. So- we went to this location for dinner today and I was a bit annoyed. First of all, there was a long wait (almost an hour)... I KNOW, I KNOW... there is ALWAYS a wait at Olive Gardens but am I REALLY the only one annoyed by this? Shouldn't they expand their locations OR SOMETHING? Come on! We left the house at about 5:30 and didn't start eating 'til about 7:30. Isn't that just a teeny tiny bit ridiculous? Alright on to the other stuff... Not only were we getting seated later than I had anticipated BUT we didn't even get our bread sticks right away. Have I missed something? Do you not automatically get your bread sticks? They should hand them out in the waiting area!!! Anyway not only was I annoyed by that BUT AFTER I ordered the salad, that I've been craving for 5 freaking years, the lady didn't bring that out. She has the nerve to bring out the appetizer we ordered and THEN ONLY after my husband asked about the bread sticks (which were still in the freaking bermuda triangle) and salad did she say "oh did you want that BEFORE the meal". NO FREAKING WAY! After a 5 year wait for that salad the woman made me wait another 20 minutes... WAIT... that wasn't the end of that either... WHEN she DID bring out the salad she was like "Oh... I misplaced my cheese grater. Let me look for one". Um- hello! Why was she NOT prepared? What is an Olive Garden salad without the freaking parmesan cheese? NOTHING! Ah... so she took about 5 minutes to come back to our area WITHOUT the cheese grater. So- my husband (not me because I was fuming since I hadn't touched the salad waiting for the cheese) politely asked for the cheese again. Another 2 minutes later she finally comes out saying "I knew I had seen ONE somewhere"... HELLO- ONE? ONE!!! Are you kidding me? Do they hide the cheese graters from this woman or what??? Sooo... after that annoyance the food came out (before I even finished my salad... WHICH IS WHY I like my salad BEFORE the meal- so I can enjoy it and not have my food getting cold). So- my husbands food (the italy tour or SOMETHING) was AWESOME. It came with lasagna, some chicken and linguine (or something)- the worst part of that was the lasagna and even that was decent. I got some stuffed chicken marsala which was decent. I wasn't jumping for joy but I was enjoying it (I even brought half of it home with me which I rarely do). My son got a grilled chicken with pasta (kids meal) and he ate all the chicken and some pasta which is AWESOME for him. He never eats two things off the same plate. So- aside from the wait to get seated and the wait for my bread, salad and cheese... it was an okay meal.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
