DELICIOUS! Everything we had was fantastic-- Shrimp Parcels, Thai Dumplings, Seafood Pad Thai, Soft Shell Crabs... yum. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Our food came out slowly and our table was incomplete. The server offered us dessert to make up for the error/delay... and BOY was it delicious (and a kind gesture). I can't wait to go back!

Lunch Good service despite being busy. With lunch specials you get small Thai crispy roll or Tom ? ? Soup but not Tom kha gai soup (which is what I wanted). So I ordered the soup only from their appetizers. It is better than most that I've had on the East coast but not even close to that of Cha Am in Berkeley, CA on Shattuck north of University Ave.

I have actually had to talk myself out of driving across town for Kittiwat takeout nearly a dozen times since we ate there last week. I plan an caving tomorrow or the day after. My hubby took me to Kittiwat for a little weekday date night. It was really nice since it was pretty quiet in there at first. I honestly did not know what to expect from them but every single piece of food I put in my mouth was excellent. We did the Thai dumplings to start and they were so, so good. I opted for the panang curry with shrimp and my husband had the pepper steak. I have tried the panang curry at almost every Thai place in town and Kittiwat's is the best. Also, that steak, wow. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Very, very good! Moral of the story: Get you some Kittiwat. Like, now.

I give this place 4 stars we walked in and there was a person at the door who seats you. The restaurant is not huge but a great size. The decor is contemporary and modern. I love their lunch special you get complimentary crispy rolls or wonton soup than your entree. That is a great idea it made me feel like I was getting a special treat and the crispy rolls are fantastic. For my entree I had basil spicy chicken it was so good! I just found my new Thai spot I'm super excited. Can't wait to take my wife here, we both love Thai. The waiter was amazing great customer service. We also had the carafe of sangria we thought it was ok. I will defiantly be back soon.

I've been to this place twice now and it's always incredible!! I was reluctant at first to try it really just due to the location (nothing ever seems that great in that shopping center, always seems to be a miss) but BOY am I glad I did! Everything was stellar. This may just be my new favorite thai place. The drinks were perfect and food hot. If I had 1 small, very small, complaint to make, it'd be that the shrimp they use is a bit on the small side. That's nit picking though. Everything else was terrific.

Believe the reviews - tiny little gem tucked in a shopping center. Not being from here, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the quality of the food. Service was fast and friendly. Took the hint from other Yelpers! and got the Thai Iced tea - a definite MUST if you come here. You get to mix it to perfect sweetness - unlike other places which just pour condensed milk to the point of where it puts a normal house fly into a diabetic coma. Very very good! Got the Thai Spicy Basil chicken and it was delicious! Just the right amount of spice, but some folks may want to scale it back a notch. If it makes me sniffle and sneeze - it's spicy - and this place hit both. An excellent meal and if I'm ever in the area again - I would definitely come back for more!

Really darn good food. Don't be afraid of the spicy- it's not bad and the food marked spicy is the good stuff... Case in point- I got the pad Thai for dinner with chicken. It was ok. Good flavor, a little too sweet for me but just ok. But I had the green curry roti appetizer, and that was amazing. Amazing. I want everything I eat from now on the be covered with that sauce. Pizza, pasta, steak, everything. I also tried the Thai iced tea mojito, which wasn't creamy like I anticipated but was refreshing and reminded me of an orange creamsicle. Highly recommend. Dessert was mango sticky rice, which was good and not too sweet. Mango was very fresh and perfectly ripe. This place is, as other reviewers stated, a hidden gem.

Went here with 3 other people so I got to try a sample of food. Apps: Roti Curry, Thai dumpling, and Tom Yum The roti curry utilizes their green curry with the flat bread. See green curry below. The dumpling was very average...doughy and just very mundane overall. Tom Yum was gross, Overcooked shrimp in over seasoned lemon grass broth. You can't even taste any lemon grass flavor. Entrees: (more) Green Curry, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and Pad Pukk The green curry was fairly good. Decent kick and flavor. Unfortunately we asked for beef and got chicken. Not a huge deal. Pad thai was sugar overload which screams unauthentic. The presentation was good, but we asked for medium spicy (3/5) and got 0 spicy. The kee mao or drunken noodles was also good. Noodles were cooked correctly and the spice level was on point. The Pad Pukk is just your chicken with mixed vegetables in brown sauce. Tasted fine, but nothing noteworthy. The restaurant is modern, clean, well appointed, and the staff is generally nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they seem to care more about the presentation of the restaurant/meals than the quality of the food. The food is edible, but is unauthentic and amateurish. To top things off, no mango w/ sticky rice. Sadness. 2.5 stars.

This is everything I look for in a restaurant... simple, excellent cuisine in a chill enviroment. Everything was great and it was full of little personal touches. Be sure to grab the Thai Iced Tea. Ps. They have a fun happy hour too!

I had high hopes for this place since I just drove in from out of town and saw this highly rated. I arrived on a Sunday evening about 7:00 and there was 1 other table with guests. I had ordered chrysanthemum tea and thought it was just water. Very weak. I had also ordered the Avocado spring rolls that were very tasty and pretty, but hardly no avocado in them. Then the vegetable pad thai had hardly any flavor. I even asked for srirachi sauce and I think it was not true srirachi because it had the consistency of Red Hot. Friendly service, but I really wasn't impressed and if I lived here, I wouldn't go back.

Went in an hour before closing on a Saturday night yet the food was still amazing. The other reviews do not lie - this place is great. I had a roti appetizer, Thai fried rice with crispy tofu and green curry with tofu. They were all delicious and I would order any of them again. And the jasmine tea was most delightful. I will be back!

WHY HAVE I NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW FOR KITTIWATT YET?!?! In one word: FAWESOME! (Effing-awesome) This place is freaking DELICIOUS! Being Vietnamese I'm no Thai food connoisseur but I deff have had my fair share of Thai cuisine to know the good from the MEHHHHH. For starters, the way they serve their Thai Tea is not only beautiful to look at; it makes sense! All the ingredients are separated, the ice cubes are actually Thai Tea (no watered down drink here, u get the whole thing!) and then they serve it on a tray at your table where you pour it yourself. Lovely, also tastes great. I always get the same thing when I come here (I know, boo me!) Lahb Gai (minced chicken in a citrusy spicy sauce, eaten with rice or in lettuce wraps) this stuff is ADDICTIVE! The minced chicken is not dry at all, the sauce it's in reminds me of a very citrusy Nuoc Cham (fish sauce) ugh... My mouth is watering; just order it and see for yourself! Next up; the THAI HOLY GRAIL - TOM SUM I think it's called, aka PAPAYA SALAD. DUDE! JUST GET IT! If you like spicy, tangy, slightly sweet and crunchy then this is for you! I've had plenty of papaya salad but this is about the best I've had. I'll save you the extended review and I will personally VOUCH this dish is AMAZE-BALLS. Holy cow... The LYCHEE BRÛLÉE DESSERT thing is OFF THE CHARTS. The first time my sister ordered it I had a sinus infection so I couldn't taste a darn thing. The last time I came here I could taste again, so of course I ordered it and WHEWWWWWWW! I was blown away. An ever so aromatic yet delicate taste of Lychee in the sticky rice which is then doused with sugar and then TORCHED to create a heavenly crispy, crunchy and golden caramel shield.... Whoa buddy.. Do your taste buds a favor and get here ASAP! Forget fancy shmancy Thai fare downtown, forget the dreaded overprice Thai in other parts of Frederick and just drive here! Seriously.. the menu is small but that means everything is executed perfectly! The owner, Kittiwatt is also always in the building, helping serve food and bus tables so the quality control is deff there. (doesn't hurt that he's super friendly!) Highly recommend this clean, affordable, delicious and welcoming Thai restro!

Fantastic soup, fantastic food, great service! Love this place. I haven't yet found an appetizer I'm hooked on, but have a soup and entree I can't get enough of. I love the design of the establishment as well, nice and sleek.

By far the best thai food restaurant in frederick county. Finally! Wife and I had the drunken noodle with chicken and the tom yum soup. Both were incredible with just the right amount of spice. For some reason kinda hard to find on yelp but look for it around the movie theaters on 85.

This place is great and I highly recommend it. It has a great atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday night so it was not crowded at all. For drinks, my wife ordered the Coconut Mojito and I ordered the Garlic Basil Mojito. Both were delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the Curry Puff and the Thai Dumplings. They both were great. For dinner, we ordered the Panang Curry and the Seafood Pad Chaa. Both were amazing. I highly look forward to coming back to try more of their dishes.

This place needs more business because not only is the food great, the service, the interior, everything is great! We got the lunch special during our visit. The lunch comes with a "first course", which is complimentary, and a "main course". For my meal, I got the Spicy Basil Chicken as my main course and Mini Crispy Roll as my first course! My bf got the Chicken Green Curry as his main course and Tom Yum Koong Soup as his first course. Both first courses were delicious. The crispy rolls had this sour sauce which complimented the crispy wrap, and the soup had a sour and tangy taste to it. Both main course we're also delicious and had a great kick to them! My main course was seasoned well. It had green and red peppers with fresh basil and sautéed onions and just the right amount of spicyness. My bf's main course was also curry-licious. It had, what he thought were bamboo shoots, and what I thought were short noodles strings, either way, it was yummy. Now to service. The staff at the time was very helpful. He noticed we were new there so he asked if we wanted help/recommendations. He even taught me how to make the mix-your-own-Thai-Iced-Tea. The guy came out with this little cute wooden tray with a glass with ice and 2 shot glasses, one had milk in it and the other had classic syrup. He explained to me how to put everything together. If I wanted my iced tea to be more this flavor I just add more of the other shot glass, or if I wanted it to be more of this flavor I just add the other. It was neat. It made the experience more fun and memorable! So all in all, it was a fantastic experience. All of the dishes were delicious and fresh, and the presentation for each was on point! Freshness all over the plate and color all over the plate!

I love Thai food! My spicy basil chicken and crispy rolls were delicious and hot. The sweet, creamy Thai iced tea was refreshing and very good. The hostess was also the waitress. She was very friendly and courteous. The restaurant is beautiful but a bit small. I would like to try the tom yum soup next and their Pad Thai. My check was a total of $15.90. Affordable and tasty!

I have heard such great things and I love Thai food, so we came here tonight. The decor is great and I loved the vibe, the servers were so nice and lovely. I got a thai iced tea and loved the presentation. I also got the pineapple fried rice. It was the absolute best that I'd had since I lived in Thailand in college. Seriously, just eating it transported me back to Bangkok. Yum. (Although I figured out later they use MSG which is a big bummer) It's so nice to have a place like this in Frederick.

Finally a good Thai place in Frederick! Came here for the first time and was impressed with both the food, service and decor. Everything we ordered was good- the Thai iced tea is DIY which I haven't seen before, the crispy rolls were good as was the pad lee Mao (drunken noodle), Tom kha Kai soup, and the shrimp chips they give you as a starter were all delicious. The only item I didn't like was the jungle curry as it really wasn't flavorful. I also like the decor as it was rustic with a modern twist and pretty cozy due to the dim lights and smaller size. Will be back!!

I work nearby and noticed this place while driving around for a place to eat a quick lunch. I am a big fan of Thai food so may seem a bit critical, The place only opened in September of 2014 so I was looking forward to seeing what this place had to offer. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. I thought the decor had trendy modern look to it and which made the ambiance a bit more formal than I was ready for. I am used to seeing most Thai restaurants lacking any good balance when it comes to the style and decor in their restaurants. At any rate my initial impression was good. One star for dining room. I actually came in to order carryout so I sat at the bar admiring their limited selection of liquor and wine. I have a bit of an expectation of Penang Curry so I noticed that on the lunch special menu right away, so I ordered it. I also noticed it came with a free appetizer of vege rolls which when delivered to me, came out quite promptly and hot. The sauce was sweet, the bowl garnished, and the food was presented nicely. One star for food. I took my first bite and it was hot and the sauce was good. I asked the bartender if he could change my order to dine-in instead of carryout. I figured my boss wouldn't mind if i was a few minutes late, after all, we are talking about Thai food here, right. It didn't take long for my curry to come out. The white rice was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of stickiness that I like. I'm guessing they must have steamed it after it got boiled because it soaked up the orange Penang curry like a sponge. The curry had that spiciness you'd come to expect from a good bowl of Penang Chicken, but I thought flavor was a little to subtle for my taste buds. I found myself thoroughly enjoying the curry at any rate, even ordering an extra bowl of rice. I decided at that point I must have been pretty hungry because they served enough chicken to probably feed two people if you ordered an extra bowl of rice like i did. I finished everything up. I even decided to place an order of Thai Ice Tea with my extra bowl of ice and to my surprise, I was quite taken by their presentation of it right away. I took a picture with my crappy camera phone but basically they serve you a glass with ice cubes made of frozen tea, with a shot glass of milk, a shot glass of a clear liquid sweetener, and mini carafe of ice tea, all on a tray. You basically make it yourself and decide how sweet or smooth you want to make the tea. I thought they deserved another star for that. Overall my lunch went well and I felt obligated to leave a decent tip because the staff deserved it. They were very friendly, which surprised me at first cause I walked in to order carryout, which meant I paid in the beginning and i only left a dollar tip, but when I added the tea and extra rice, I got another bill, so I made up for the low tip in the second charge. At any rate, they still treated me very nicely throughout my experience there and for that I have to give them their final star. I am only taking off one star and giving this restaurant four stars because I did not think the food was five star food. It lacked that extra flavor and taste I was expecting. Four stars for this place and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good Thai experience.

Proof that Frederick does not know food (5 star reviews?). I've eaten Thai in NYC, LA, and everywhere in between. This is, hands down, the worst I've ever had. See my pictures. Not worth writing words.

Amazing food. Friendly service! The food is Issan style, but suitable for the western palate. If you want it spicy, be sure to emphasize it! The menu is well built. Every item plays off another and makes for some great combos. The staff is warm and friendly, but they don't serve alcohol...yet. They need ppl to come in and sign some sort of petition to acquire a liquor license. If you'd like to have a glass of cab with spicy Thai food (an awesome pairing, seriously!) go in and sign up!!!

LOVED this place! Went there with a group of 6 girlfriends a few days ago, and we're already planning on going back next week. This is by far the most authentic Thai food I've had since I left Los Angeles. This is better than any of the places I've tried in DC or Arlington (although I certainly haven't been to every single one!) Since I moved to Frederick, I've tried the few Thai places around here, and while some of them are ok, they just didn't have the flavor of Kittiwat. The decor is very cool, and the service was friendly and prompt. Glad you guys are here! :)

Sometimes you find great Thai food in unexpected places, like a sprawling suburban office park in Frederick, MD. The service was speedy and the food was excellent - I ordered Pad See Euw with tofu. I'm not a vegetarian but I'll eat tofu to allay some of my carnivorous guilt. And seriously, if I could eat tofu this yummy all the time, I probably would be a vegetarian.

I already gave this place 5 stars but I can't help but give an update .. I dropped in today to get carryout during lunch cause I simply didn't have time to eat in .. The menu changed quite a bit since the last time I went in ? Anyway, I ordered the pad pukk with tofu(veggie stir fry) for myself & the Kaprow Kai sub (minced chicken with basil w/ white rice & fried egg) for hubby .. I haven't been there since they started doing complimentary crispy rolls or Tom yum soup with lunch so that surprised me.. I got one of each .. We were starving when we got home so we started eating .. First - crispy rolls .. BOMB.com the sauce that comes with it = LOVE .. The Tom yum soup .. That broth is just too freaking good .. Hubby really hates soup(except pho) & he drank all of my broth -__- Now entrees - we pretty much always order the Kaprow Kai so that's ALWAYS a winner in our books .. It's flavorful and just as delicious as always ! My pad pukk was OH EMM GEE good !! It literally tastes like my mom made it, which is incredible! My 4 year old does not like many veggies and boy I tell you, he helped me tear my food up ! Never has he ever eaten THAT many veggies without being made to LOL Now even though it was lunch portions, neither hubby or I could finish our food so we were thrilled to have the leftovers for dinner. And I simply cannot forget the customer service ! Everyone there is super nice and friendly. The owner remembers me every time I come in & always asks how I'm doing & even remember things I've told him.. I seriously LOVE simple family owned restaurants that take the time to get to know their customers & remember them. If you haven't been here yet .. Seriously .. What are you waiting for !?!

My partner and I went to check out this place seeing how we haven't had good Thai since Thai Rice closed. For what we paid at Kittiwat, we'd get double the food at Thai Rice. The one time our server came to check on us, she wouldn't bring my partner extra rice even for an additional charge. He ended up drinking the rest of his curry. My Pad Thai was pretty good, not the best I've had though. Neither of us were too fond of being so close to other guests that we could jump into their conversations (we didn't). It was also very loud and some parent(s) let their kid throw a football around the restaurant. We won't be returning.

Hidden location but best Thai food explored in Frederick thus far. They have some fancy Thai iced tea concoction that you self mix and pork on skewers that make eating dinner a pleasurable experience. The best part... They finally serve alcohol!

Came in this past Saturday for dinner. We had an 8pm reservation but the place was rather empty. Service from the beginning to the end was great. They kept the waters full, which I love. We had a few apps and we enjoyed them all. We tried the Thai iced tea mojito and the coconut mojito. Both were delicious cocktails. I had the spicy basil chicken pad Thai. They asked how hot I wanted it on a scale of 1 to 5 and said a 3 is how it is normally served. I asked for them to kick it up to a 4. It was pretty spicy but great. I also ordered the Thai ice tea when I finished my cocktail and that was delicious as well. My girlfriend had some mixed seafood dish. Don't remember what it was called but she loved it. I'll certainly go back here when I have a chance. I live in Hagerstown so I'm not always eating out in the Frederick area. This place is definitely worth the visit.

My food was fine (Basil Chicken, I think), but my husband's Pad Thai was terrible. He didn't even eat more than a couple of bites, and that is very unusual for him. I liked the presentation of the Thai Iced tea - served in separate components for you to mix how you like. The restaurant has a funny smell to me which is preventing me from returning, and since my husband didn't like his food, we won't likely be back. I have a few friends who really love this place, but I just couldn't get into it.

I have had date nights here a few times and I have always enjoyed it. Food: Tasted good, but nothing amazing. I feel like maybe the noodles were siting out long before they made the pad thai. Rice also seems kind of dry, maybe like it's day old rice. The meals can be customizable which is nice if you don't want fish sauce in your food. service: They are extremely polite. One time I asked for rice during my meal and didn't get it, no big deal because I understand that it happens. They may sometimes check up on you too many times. atmosphere: Nice and casual. Their industrial shelves and knick knacks are cute.

Excellent! We had a smorgasbord of apps- papaya salad (good) summer rolls (good) Tom ka soup (good) calamari (ehh). For dinner I had the black spaghetti and it was delish. Wish they would of used different squid but the shrimp was perfect. Everyone else got a diff variety of pad thai (BORING!!!) but they all said it was the best they have had. Will be going back many more times!

Wow... One of the best Pad Thai I've had in a long time... You go to downtown DC to have authentic Thai food and get really disappointed... I leave my house and within 4 min I'm sitting in a gem hidden here in Frederick.... These guys are doing it right from decor, service and execution of what is authentic ingredients and to simply say it was delicious would be a tragedy ... Exquisite is the appropriate word for this dish that people just take for granted ... Pad Thai... Big deal.... This is one of the most basic dishes in Thailand but made wrong could be a catastrophe... Not at Kittiwat they will blow your palette to another level... Come out and try this place ASAP.. You'll never forgive yourself if you don't!!!!!!! Thanks Kittiwat...

The flavor of the food is amazing! The best Thai food I've had around the metro DC area. I had the Spicy Basil with beef and my husband the jungle curry dish with beef. Both had an amazing taste, and were spicy, especially the Jungle Curry. The only reason I gave it a 4 vs. a 5 star is due to the meat being a little too chewy for me. Next time I will definitely try the Spicy Basil with the chicken instead, because the seasoning of the dishes was phenomenal!

Moco resident here in Fredco for the day and so happy I stopped in for lunch. One would not expect such a high quality of food from what is essentially a casual dining place, but the flavors and textures here are as strong as any Thai restaurants with dim lighting and pretentiously dressed wait staff. I ordered shrimp pad Thai - received chicken pad Thai instead but didn't mind because it was so good. I was delighted to learn that my meal also came with a choice of spring rolls or soup. Chose the spring rolls and was SO glad I did. Crispy, hot, full of flavor, and nested in a small pool of dipping sauce that complemented the rolls perfectly. Mango sticky rice for dessert. Would have preferred more sugar and less salt in the rice, but otherwise it was perfection. Service was fast and courteous. Only complaint - just one busy guy hosting and waiting on all of the tables. Highly recommend!

I must say I am very impressed by the level of service and food. The waiter was very courteous and advising us that our meal would be made after our first course of appetizers and letting me know it takes a little bit of time to steam the lobster. I will definitely come back. The coconut calamari was delish. G W

LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH !!! Kittiwat Thai Kitchen is a must visit place for delicious Thai food. It is a great place for relaxing and having true Authentic Thai Food. The food is well presented, delectable, and delightful. The service is friendly and warm. Plus, the restaurant is always clean. I also enjoy the ambiance and the chic decor. I have been visiting this fantastic restaurant since day 1. I have tried everything on their menu, and I have been very satisfied. It has been my favorite Thai restaurant so far. Their Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried-Rice, Thai Dumplings, Chicken Satay, Chicken Thai Fried-Rice, Larb Kai, Panang Curry, Lychee Siamese Duck, Thai Iced Tea, and I-TIM are awesome ! Yum ! Highly recommended !!! And don't forget to Try Their Monthly Specials !!!

I have been meaning to write a review about this place for awhile, I have tasted everything on their menu! My favorite, has to be the pineapple fried rice with chicken. A great balance of flavors and textures, I could eat it everyday. Everything on their menu though is amazing, their isn't a single item on their menu that I wouldn't eat again. My girl friend is Thai, and she says that the food here reminds her of Thailand. My favorite drink here is the lychee black tea, I normally am not a tea person, but I order this tea every time I can. The staff and owner are very friendly and I enjoy talking with them every time I come in. I really like the fact that each month they have new tasty specials. Oh and they just added ice cream to their menu, yay! Eat here, you won't regret it!

Kittiwat is a new restaurant that has easily made its way to the top of my list! We have ordered take out several times and have been incredibly pleased each visit. The food is fresher than fresh and the combinations of flavors are absolutely delicious. I love the thai fried rice with chicken, or shrimp. The shrimp are jumbo shrimp. They are gigantic. The pad thai is the best around, and the crispy rolls are great! I can't wait to try more menu items. I'm sure they are all equally as delicious. The employees go above and beyond, and genuinely care about their customers. If only more restaurants and businesses had such incredible customer service!

Outstanding. The food is phenomenal. Finally some great Thai food around here. I love their Thom Kha Kai soup. I've tried different entrees each time I went and all were so good. Pad Thai and Panang Curry were stand outs for me. Service is wonderful. The staff was very accommodating with a large party reservation that I adjusted a few times due to cancellations. They did not give me a problem about split checks either even when I originally inquired about them for a table of 20. The inside of the restaurant is sleek and minimalist. I am impressed with every aspect so far of my visits and would recommend trying them if you've been searching for a great Thai place!

Kittiwat is our new go to for Thai food. It has been delicious, hot and fresh every time we have gone. The Coconut Mojito's are super yummy. It is a great alternative to going to downtown Frederick and looking for street parking. Wonderful owner, very attentive and open to suggestions.

Very happy with this new Thai place in Frederick. The look of the restaurant is very modern and clean. Friendly service and although I was served the wrong dish they quickly replaced and apologized. The Thai ice tea was great and very interesting as you make on your own. The papaya salad was deliciously spicy and my pad Thai was very good. My sister had the basil chicken which was also deliciously spicy. Overall, the food presented well, tasted great and fresh. We will be back soon.

Wow! Seafood Pao Chaa! Was in a local motel and it looked interesting. In a strip mall so I almost punted. Decor is "loft" style, which doesn't excite me. Lots of tables, which I didn't expect from what I read Staff was helpful but not gregarious. The waiter recommended the seafood Pau Chaa. It was amazing! Peppercorns on the vine are nothing like the dried corns. Scallops, big, globular mussels, squid and lobster. Covered with crispy basil leaves. This item isn't for people who don't like spicy food, but it was awesome! Fast service, delightful meal. Altogether fine dining.

Amazing resto! Great ambience and tasty Thai food! The owner was very friendly and attentive. Big props for trying to bring a little bit of urban-chic to a country town. Must try for all foodies! Food presentations were excellent and food portions were just right for the price.

so my family of three decided to come back to this new thai resto near us. the ambiance is very retro which i like. they even have the shelving i pinterested as a future project. it seats about 50 people. thai ice tea is one of a kind (you get to mix it on your own). the owner whom the resto is named after is out and about and very welcoming to customers. very flexible to personal food style specially since im vegetarian. the taste has the Thai authentic taste to it (since ive had real thai food in thailand on two visits now). so far in two visits we've had pad thai (regular & veggie) stuffed tofu (must have) thai ice tea thai fried rice (veggie) spring roll (veggie) tom yum soup (tofu) so far all good! käōn tá!

Excellent food and great service! My wife and I were in Frederick to celebrate our anniversary and we're looking for a good Thai place. We ended up here and are glad we did! We ordered the usual suspects: papaya salad, tom kha soup, pad thai. My wife kept commenting that it tasted just like a Thai place near our home - which is a huge compliment since it's her favorite place.

Surprisingly great. The Papaya Salad appetizer was huge. The portions of everything I ordered were larger than expected. Everything tasted great, and it is reasonably priced. The service was friendly and fast. The only things I did not care for were the tables were small. The waitress ended up pushing another table up to ours (we were a party of 2) to fit the dishes. The chairs were a little uncomfortable. They were metal 4 legged chairs. I would defiantly return.

Love, love, love the Panang Curry here. Get it with shrimp or chicken.

Good for delivery, although it took 70 minutes (instead of the quoted 50 minutes) to get our food on a Saturday night. If you buy $30 worth of food, you get a free appetizer that is quite tasty (crispy spring rolls). I got a coconut milk-lime soup that contains just the right amount of spice, mushrooms, and greens (leeks?). The soup was good, but a bit heavy on the lime. We also got the pad thai with chicken, which is delicious and not overly greasy. The avocado spring lettuce rolls are a bit large--they look strange--and are like biting into a rolled-up lettuce leaf. The Kittiwat appetizer sampler is not very good (basically fried bland items--except for the crispy spring rools), but the assorted dips are tasty. Service is friendly as well.

Wow! In a sea of chain restaurants, this is such a yummy and unexpected (in a good way) change! Delicious food at a reasonable price with a friendly staff. Go here! You won't be disappointed.

Just had one of my best experiences here with my girlfriend. We decided to stop by because of the great Yelp reviews and were pleasantly surprised. The place is modern and hip with a refreshing spin on classic Thai restaurants that makes you feel like you've been transplanted to NYC or SF. Cocktails are innovative and excellent (try the lychee sangria!). All the food we had was delicious and well plated too (massaman beef, basil chicken with egg, etc). The owner Kittiwat was extremely attentive and even came to talk to us. Overall an incredible experience and highly recommend!

This place is super. The food was delicious and presented so beautifully. The space is lovely too, with a fresh clean look and a huge live planter on the wall. I recommend for lunch or dinner.

I'd give the food a 5 stars easily. Tom yum and pad Thai were phenomenal. However the only complaint I'd possibly have is the chairs were pretty uncomfortable and not the greatest seetinf arrangement, but that's just nitpicking.

Fantastic Thai! So glad we discovered this hidden gem. Now I don't have to leave Frederick to get the real deal :)

Be warned, this place is not for those on a tight budget. However, you get what you pay for and it is so worth it. The food is incredibly good. By far the best Thai food in Frederick.

This is my second update for this restaurant. I am convinced that it deserves 5 stars now that I've tried even more dishes. Would like to add to my previous review that the Green Papaya Salad is absolutely delicious, and not only it was label as very spicy, but it actually was! Which, BTW, is how I like it. Additionally, their Lahb Gai is also excellent.

Fabulous appetizers of dumplings and chicken satay. Then we got chicken phad thai, chicken fried rice and green curry. All of us loved the flavors. We tried two desserts which were rice pudding and Thai coconut ice cream. Will definitely go back again. Our waitress was friendly and helped us with suggestions.

the red curry rocked my world. My husband lapped it up. I haven't found thai this good in years. The inner décor is adorable too, so NYC! Pls do yourself a favor and come here.

From the appetizers to dessert, everything was fantastic! Jungle Curry is definite must do, be careful because the 2 on the spicy scale had us sweating! Service was great. Loved the decor!

All of your basic and most popular Thai dishes, not going to find any of the most authentic meals here but the menu covers a nice variety of items. The prices are Reasonable, the portion size is a little small. The taste was good. Service was very friendly. I will return.

I went here on a Friday night, and although they weren't too busy... The service was a little slow. However, the food and drinks were well worth the wait. I had the fruit punch while my boyfriend had the Thai ice tea Mojito. Both drinks were delicious. We got what appeared to be a sample platter of appetizers. Neither my boyfriend nor I were a fan of the sesame tofu. It was cold and just BLAH. The shrimp parcels and crispy rolls were pretty good but the real hero of the plate were the dumplings. For dinner I had the pineapple fried rice with duck. It was OUTSTANDING. The duck was delicious and the rice was superb. My boyfriend had the pad Thai which was awesome as well. We wanted to try the avocado summer rolls, but apparently they were so popular they were out of them by the time we got there. I would definitely go back to try another dish here.

This place is overrated. Pay a lot money for such a small quantity of food. Very limited lunch options. Dinner menu was good though.

I would rarely consider giving five stars but wow! The food here is amazing. Fresh, delicious, and authentic. The service is very good. Space is nice, tasteful but understated. Highly recommend the Pad Thai with the sun dried shrimp. The crispy rolls and Thai dumplings are very good. Portions are good. Satisfying but not ridiculous.

We just went tonight for the first time and we still have smiles on our faces. This was the best Thai we have ever had and we've had A lot of Thai. The place is beautiful and the staff was great. We had Thai basil chicken and Pad see ew and it was awesome. For apps we had the green curry roti and calamari. You can make your own Thai tea, the desserts were great. Can wait to go back.

I eat Thai pretty often and I have to say that they serve some good quality Thai food here. Came here with a group of 6 for a friend's birthday and they were very accommodating. I was at first skeptical because it was not very busy for a Friday night but the food spoke for itself. I got the green curry and I tried my friend's pad thai. Both were fantastic and the flavors were nicely balanced. Prices were great too. I will definitely be coming back!

Picked up carry out from here a few weeks ago when shopping in the area. It was a little pricey for me but it was good. The Chicken Satay was good and we got the Spicy Basil with chicken. Everything was good and we were stuffed sharing it between 2 people and had a little leftover, just not something we will get often due to the price.

I ordered a basil dish with shrimp - can't remember what it's called. The vegetables were not cooked enough for me. Not impressed on my first visit, but will give it another try - try something different next time. It wasn't packed at lunch time which is a bonus. The restaurant is clean and new. Wait staff was friendly.

Upscale, chic, industrially clean, pleasant staff, and the food is deliciously fresh. They just opened in September so I hope they can sustain their business. This place is a gem in an, otherwise, cheaper selection of restaurants for the area.

While I confess I am not a Thai food aficionado, I will contest to the fact that the food was super fresh, well executed, delicious, and appropriate portions were served. I appreciate the limited menu, because as stated in other reviews, it assures time and attention spent on doing a few good dishes really well. The heat was fine and they accommodate if you need "less heat". Cocktails were great- not too strong not too weak and very refreshing. Service was great, never left with empty glasses and the food came to the table at good intervals. we will definitely come back.

Kittiwat came highly recommended and it was every bit as good as I'd heard! Fresh and delicious food and friendly and very knowledgeable waitress. She answered every single question about the menu with ease and perfect descriptions about the various levels of heat (or absence thereof). We went last night, and going back tonight. Try the Pineapple fried rice with Duck... yum! The Pork Dumpling appetizer was wonderful too. The Spicy Basil Shrimp was to die for (be prepared for some heat though)!

I am in Fredericks for business. While driving around the local area, I spotted this Thai restaurant as a Take Out option. I was taken aback that there was only two people in the restaurant. However, I decided to continue with my order. I was politely greeted by staff, and my order was promptly taken. I got the Pad Thai with Duck. Once I got back to my hotel, I was ecstatic with the quality and portions of food. The duck was not over cooked. Moreover, the dish was not overwhelmed by any one "flavor". What a great find on a business trip...

This is probably the most authentic Thai restaurant around Frederick. The menu is not too long and not short which is a good thing because the owner puts a lot of time into the presentation and preparation of the food, and it is very tasty! The food is very flavorful here and the modern decor is very inviting. I highly recommend the ka nom jeeb/Thai dumplings. Try this place out, you will pleased.

Papaya salad, Pineapple Fried rice, Penang curry and Drunken noodles were all delish! The decor was nice. The service was great. Wished it was busier but it was Sunday night in Frederick so can't expect a crowd...

I've only been here once, but it was a good experience. The decor is casual, but very clean and modern. The food is good--not the best Thai in Frederick (that award goes to Sumittra), but tasty nonetheless. The staff was friendly. If you like Thai, and you're in this part of town, don't hesitate to drop in.

Best Thai I've had, in Frederick or anywhere else. The shrimp crackers, dumplings, tom yum, pad Thai, green curry and thai iced tea are all great. Their presentation of the iced tea is especially nice and really sets them apart. Will be looking forward to going back to try more of their dishes. I particularly love the way they cook their tofu.

This place is delicious! Food is presented nicely and the flavors are amazing. It looks and feels upscale, but at the same time is accessible, comfortable, and affordable. The wall of plants is absolutely gorgeous! It's a great place to go with a group of friends,on a date or family nite, or just to have a good lunch.

Amazing food and atmosphere. While it was a weeknight, service was exceptional and they got our food out extremely fast. Simple menu with some of the classics, but everything we got tasted great. The spice was also on point, not too spicy, but had a good bite that lingered.

Great Thai place. We tried Thai iced tea which had a unique set up and great taste, then we tried calamari which was good nothing too special and nothing bad. For dinner we ate Thai fried rice with beef and green curry with chicken. The fries rice was very good and had a very different taste compared to other Thai places. Green curry was really good too. Will go back again and try more from their menu....

Stopped in for carry out lunch. I love good Pad Thai and was excited to try it here based on other reviews. Was a bit disappointed; I've definitely had better. Just didn't have much flavor. Presentation was good, though. Also ordered the Tom Ka Kai soup - this was good, but again, not the best I've had. Maybe if I ate there instead of taking it to go it would have been a different experience. To be fair, I got there about 10 minutes before they were closing up for the afternoon.

Really good thai food in frederick! It's small inside but they have a modern vibe with authentic tasting food. I recommend trying the Thai iced ginger tea and the spicy basil dishes with noodles. They delivery to the ballenger creek area so that's a bonus!

  • Byron S.

Service was excellent. Thai iced tea has a neat presentation. We started with Stuffed Tofu which was okay, needed a bit more seasoning to bring out the 'pickled' veggies. Also had the Calamari, which was very chewy, seasoned and fried well, but all the moisture was sucked out. I had the Beef Jungle Curry which was tasty and large portion, but VERY spicy. I like my heat, but this one has you sweating. Wife had Beef pad thai which she enjoyed a lot and i thought was really good. I dinged them two stars because i personally thought the Jungle Curry was way too spicy, so much that it overpowers the dish. Other ding is for the botched calamari. They look like onion rings and tasted like rubber, plus they give u a tiny amount of chutney to dip, but u cant fit the calamari in the dipping dish. I will come back and try some of the other dishes, and because the service was very good. Hope they do well!!
