Customer service could use improvement. We ordered and realized employee conversations were the priority.

We came in after dinner rush, so there weren't many people in the restaurant. The subs take a bit of time for them to make which I am completely fine with because that means it's not a lot of pre-made junk that they just slap together. I tried the streak and cheese with mayo, jalapeños, onions, and tomato. This sub was really really good. It remained piping hot until I got home (about 15 minutes) which gave the favors the perfect amount of time to merge together. It was messy but in a good way and they weren't stingy with the fillings so the meat to bread ratio was great. The mayo had a great flavor and makes this sandwich, so I highly suggest ordering this sandwich with it. The service was great, I was greeted upon approaching the counter to order and told to have a nice night when grabbing my subs from the pick up counter to leave. Come here if you are I'm the mood for a great sub without the sit down and be waited on full restaurant experience.

Firehouse sub is a nice alternative to eating at Subway. The subs are made fresh and the the crew members are friendly.

I've eaten at Firehouse Subs a total of three times and it's OK...better than Subway, which is about a 2.5 on my 0-5 sliding scale. I like that you have the option of a white or wheat roll and the wheat is dense and chewy like wheat should be and the subs are hot. I've ordered the New York Steamer (beef brisket and pastrami) all three times, but I've gotten different toppings every time. The first time I got it, I ordered it "fully engulfed": mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion and the meat seemed overwhelmed by the toppings. The next time, I ordered it exactly how it is offered: mayo, mustard and Italian dressing. It was floating in condiments. Every time I took a bite, the meat slid out the other end. The last time that I got it, I ordered it without any condiments, and it was so dry that I literally almost choked on it a couple of times. I know this is partially my fault, but my point is that there was more bread than anything else. It seems like the amount of meat has decreased every time I've gone. Next time I'll ask for light condiments and I should be good to go. They were touting their cherry limeade when I was there yesterday. I tried it and thought it was atrocious...like drinking straight grenadine. I'll stick with their fresh brewed iced tea.

SLOW! I ordered a sub and FINALLY got it 25 minutes later. It was only a so-so sub. Kind of dry, they didn't seem to use any mayo or other condiments. At almost $8 I thought it was overly priced. I've had so much better than this place.

I love the hot sauce selections! This is a unique sub shop, one that I will continue to visit. The meat on the sandwiches are terrific and I absolutely enjoy their Cherry Limeade!

The Hawaiian pulled pork, slaw sandwich.... Yummy! Very good, and a lot of food! Quick for the amount of people we had arrive at one time.

I wasn't sure what we were walking into or what to expect when we spontaneously stopped by this place. I mean, there is "strategically placed" firehouse-themed decor EVERYwhere: fire hydrants, fire hats, red and black everywhere. But hungry we were, and food it was. Classic meatball sub on wheat - The marinara sauce was a tad on the sweet side, but the meatballs were tasty and not soggy. The bread wasn't soggy, but soft and warm on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. For a chain, it's not too bad. It's just like any other sandwich shop.

Great place! Employees are always friendly. To be completely honest, we usually go to the firehouse off of 26 because we are a little closer to that one, but it always closes earlier so if not we come to this one. That being said we still eat firehouse enough for both locations to know our faces. Anyway, 10:50 pm we go in and get our subs and card is declined, we had to do debit which they don't do on their machines. Cash or credit. Which is fine, except for when you buy two 20$ advanced supply drops off of advanced warfare call of duty, and your bank thinks it's a fraudulent charge and turns off your card. Embarrassing enough! The nice gentlemen there let us leave with the food and said it was totally cool, but my lovely boyfriend still plans to take him 30$ tomorrow just cause'. That being said it's a lovely establishment with great employees. Will continue to come! (Ps this firehouse also puts more meat on their subs which is more than I can say for the other)

First time eating at a Firehouse. Staff was friendly. I was very satisfied with the meatball sub and the various options for preparation. Menu is easy to read. Hand sanitizer available at the counter: bonus :) nice decor, clean. Ice machine for fountain sodas wasn't working very well however.

Beef brisket is off the chain! I checked in with my Yelp app on my phone and my medium sub was FREE. Even if it wasn't free, the sandwich was awesome. Real nice beef brisket. I'll be back for more of that sandwich for sure. As for the other details...it was real busy at 12:30pm for the lunchtime. Order wait was maybe 6 or 7 minutes. Not bad. Service was friendly. It was clean inside. Really, no complaints here. For a sandwich shop I got what I expected: a sandwich. They exceeded my expectations when it came to how good that beef brisket sub would taste.

Definitely some good sandwiches here. Love my sub fully involved (adding mayo, cheese, etc.) only problem is the limited choice for sandwiches apart from the changing feature menu item.

Not a really good value for the money. Steak and cheese sub lacked meat and the peppers and onions. Kind of bland also. Good fresh roll. If you are hungry you will need to order 2 or go to 5 guys next door.

One of my go-to places for lunch. I usually get the philly cheesesteak and add some jalapenos. The food is always quality and the people in there are nice. Much better than Quiznos or Subway. Plus they have a small selection of hot sauces which I enjoy. You place a sandwich order and find a seat and they bring your sandwich out to you while shouting your name. Not a bad system. The drawbacks are that it can be slow, especially when it's crowded, the place is small so it can be hard to find a seat, and it's a little on the pricey side. You can end up dropping almost $10 on a medium (their version of a small) sandwich with chips and a drink.

Great food, great customer service! They give out fire hats with the kids meals. My son loved that! We were asked a few times how we liked the food and if they could do anything else for us. We even received complimentary chocolate chip cookies (so soft and yummy!)

This was my first trip to Firehouse Subs, and I was not disappointed! I ordered an Italian sub and it was the best Italian I've had! A great mix of meats, soft sub roll, condiments were on point. It was perfection!

One of the worst subs I have even tried. - The Hook & Ladder. Absolutely terrible. One of the employee's had his father visiting for dinner and his 2-year-old was crying and screaming unencumbered. The other sub was equally bad! Update. Shortly after my review I was contacted by the owner of this firehouse subs to thank me for the review and to apologize for the bad experience. My fiancé and I returned to give them another shot, and this time it was a completely enjoyable experience. The staff was very friendly and quick to take your order. The place was packed but after a couple minutes our subs were out. I gave the hook and ladder another shot, and this time I was not disappointed. After a bad first experience we are now starting to come around on firehouse subs. Enough to where I'd recommend this place to friends and family.

I have always loved firehouse! I never had any issues with the food or staff. Until yesterday. I called in an order like I normally do and was asked to hold. It sounded as though the phone was set down since I could hear the people ordering, person taking the order and the computer beeping right in my ear. After almost 5 minutes waiting to place my order, the female that answered the phone could barely speak English and was speaking Spanish to the person next to her in the store as she is taking my order( it seemed like she was new or training ). The menu I had gotten online( as well as the menu I grabbed from the store) was not current. So I was ordering a salad they no longer carried( the chief salad) but the female taking my order had no clue what Item was talking about. She also wasn't able to understand my very simple last name- even when I spelled it out 3 times. There was obviously a language barrier there. I finally finished placing my order, hung up, and got to the restaurant to find my order incomplete because she still didn't understand what salad I was asking for. Instead of asking for help while we were in the phone, she waited until I arrived at the restaurant. The gentleman that helped Complete and clear up my order had my salad and subs out to me very quickly which was appreciated.

This place is a fat man's paradise. No joke, stay away from the large sub unless you plan on hibernating after the experience. The place is a great value in comparison to a subway or quizno's. The food is really good and kudos to them for putting some variety on the same old sub. Go here, you will love it and you will not be leaving hungry, unless you have a tapeworm. You might even be fine then too.

First time here. Was debating between the steak and cheese or the Smokehouse beef and chedder.. I had the smokehouse beef and chedder. It's a very tasty sub. Service is good. Price is reasonable. I'll be back.

This place is decent at best. I have been 3 times. Similar to a quiznos, not quite as good as Jimmy Johns. They seemed understaffed and take a while to make your sub. They steam the meat so it gets real wattery and makes your sandwich soggy. The people there are friendly but the quality is just not that great.

Great subs, great customer service. Reasonably priced, too. Always a treat to take the family for some subs and cherry limeade!

Good sub shop! Great sweet tea and good drink selections! Also they have lots of chip choices and Mrs.Vickie's chips! My favorite sub here is the Italian sub! There ham is sweet so it's not good to get that just by itself unless you like really sweet honey ham. That's why the Italian sub is good because it's sweet and spicy! But it's better to eat it otherwise the subs get soggy.

My fiance and I checked out this place because we didn't want the usual places. I had the "Hook and Ladder." It was one of the best subs I have had in a long time. The bread was soft and the taste was just excellent. The only issue I had is that it took a while and they seemed a little unorganized, but it was totally worth the wait. I just wish there was one closer to me, but I know that I will go every time I am in that area!

Best club sandwich ever. They seem to be using less meat than before. I would rather pay more money than get a smaller portion.

Always good to see something new compete against the establishment, and by that I don't mean, "The Man" but rather the endless parade of Blimpies, Subway and so forth. Firehouse is a step up from gas station or fast food subs to the mid-level "premium" brands such as Jerry's or Jersey Mikes. From the two times I had Firehouse, the latest being just yesterday (As of this writing) the bread was fresh and soft. I had the Beef brisket and cheddar. As to what the hell they call, I'm either too drunk, or apathetic to recall at the moment. Regardless of whatever it was called, I had the medium with green peppers, and their "special" sauce which is a mix of BBQ and mayo. So, if you don't want cr@p, and are totally burned out on Subway, then try Firehouse. If you want over priced gas station subs, then the Blimpies is right at the end of the street at the light. Personally, sober or drunk, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, six bucks for a good sub at Firehouse beats a gas station sub at Blimpies.

I found this place while searching for something other than Subway... I would say it lives up to that standard. The place supposedly was started by firefighters, hence the name. The thing I found interesting when I walked in was that they sell pickles... by the 5-gallon bucket. So if anyone is hankering for a pickle, you can get your fill there! I ordered their hot (as in temperature, not taste) Italian sub (they have 8-inch and 12-inch subs). They make all their subs "fully involved," which means they have mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion, with a pickle spear on the side. You can request that certain things not go on your sub. I did have to wait a solid five minutes, which didn't bug me since I had nothing better to do. The sub was so-so. The bread was very good - not too thin, not too thick. It was a little messy, but what sub isn't? All in all, not the best sub I've ever had, but definitely better than Subway.

I want to like this place, because it is close to my work and, well, firemen are our friends. Unfortunately, they fail on all three counts of taste, service and value. This was the worst veggie sub I've ever had. Also, nothing bugs me more than when the veggie sandwich isn't really discounted from the meat overload sandwhiches. Am I to believe that a pile of meat is only $.50? Especially when you can "double the meat" for $2.00? So, I feel a little cheated. Also, they got my order wrong, and three other people's orders wrong, in the 15 minutes it took me to get my sandwich. Possibly because there were no less than three employees not doing anything while one poor guy tried to keep up with all the orders. I've also had the Hook and Ladder (turkey, ham, monterey jack). This sandwich was better than the veggie (hard not to be), but not better than comparable sandwiches at every other sub shop I've ever been to. It's a pass.
