This is probably the best authentic Chinese food in Frederick county in the Roasted Peking duck they have BEST sauce and the vegetables are sautéed PERFECTLY. Also their Sweet Cumber Salad has the mix between a Cumber and a Vinegary sweet sauce. LOVE this place definitely Coming Back

What can I say other than we tried 3 times to eat in. Three times we left due to no service. I have not heard good things from this place so we see no reason to try again.

We live in Mount Airy, and made the 20minutes trip down Penn Shop road to MD80 to Urbana. They're are no good Chinese food places in Mount Airy. Spouse had the tofu and the portion size was great. Vegetarian lo mein was awesome. I had general tso chicken, with large chunks of juicy chicken and a rich sauce. The chicken fried rice was nicely spiced with a ample chicken chunks. Egg rolls were crisp as we're the fortune cookies. We decided against delivery because we wanted it ASAP. We will go back in the future.

I ordered the spicy tuna roll and it came out ice cold. It tasted like it came from the grocery store sushi bar. The soda was flat even though it was from a can. Upon inspection we saw that it was expired a month ago. The rest of the food was decent but not worth a return trip.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered a spicy tuna roll, a dragon roll and some sashimi. The salmon sashimi was sort of gray and still icy in the middle and the spicy tuna roll was so fishy and smelled funny I couldn't eat it. Dragon roll was average and probably not horrible because there wasn't fresh fish in it but fried softshell. Would not go back ever.

We get take out 2 to 3 times a month from this place. We've never had any complaints and the family loves it! We asked for a dish not on the menu and they glady made it and we always order it now (general tso's tofu). My Mom loves salt and pepper shrimp which is spicy. My favorite is vegetable steamed dumplings and their homemade pickle. We've also had pad Thai, mixed veggies, happy couple, shrimp toast, and other things. All have been yummy. I really appreciate the freshness and variety of veggies they include in the dishes.

I can't speak for the sushi - frankly, you should go to a place that only has sushi to ensure that it's fresh. However, I love the rest of their menu. Of all the other Chinese/Asian restaurants in the Urbana area, this is my favorite because it tastes authentic! And the lady in the front is always pleasant to deal with :) While Chopstix (Giant shopping center) is tasty, it's not authentic. China Taste? Neither tasty, nor authentic. (BWW shopping center).

I had a wonderful evening catching up with a friend here. The food was very good as were the prices. It was clean, the service was friendly, and I would go back again.

I ordered delivery at 6:47 pm, food delivered at 9:15 with no courtesy. I refused to sign my sales ticket and the driver, who didn't answer his cell phone for an hour and a half according to the order taker who was manning the phone, said oh, so you must not want your food. I took it and slammed the door. Not worth the frustration. I complained and the woman said I could have something free next time with my order. Are you kidding me? Never again. The food was nothing special, you can get same elsewhere. Don't order from here. By the way, my husband warned me that he hated their food and not to order from them! Thanks alot.

Stay away if you have allergies! These folks don't take it seriously at all! I am allergic to peanuts. I love Thai food and have had no problem at other area restaurants such as My Thai. I ate here yesterday, and as I always do at Thai restaurants, said NO PEANUTS. I ordered the Tom Ka and the larb gai. After eating just a couple of spoonfuls of the Tom Ka, I noticed my throat starting to hurt. I stopped eating that and moved to the Larb Gai, but my throat kept getting worse. When at long last the waitress finally came back into the dining room, I told her there were definitely peanuts, peanut oil, or some sort of peanut residue in one or both of these dishes. Her response was to deny it, and then later come out with a receipt that shows the restaurant purchases soybean oil. He daughter or other young girl also got into the act, loudly proclaiming from across the room that they don't buy peanut oil. This defensive response on the part of the restaurant guarantees that they won't bother actually investigating where the cross-contamination is coming in, and that they WILL have future problems. Perhaps next time they will kill someone??? I paid in full for my poison meal, but I really shouldn't have, as I didn't get what I ordered. During the next several hours, I had SEVERE stomach pain culminating in finally vomiting. This is exactly what happens to me when I accidentally ingest peanut products. I would STAKE MY LIFE on the fact that these dishes were not peanut-free. For obvious reasons, I wouldn't eat here again if my life depended on it (and, um, IT DOES!) But for those who don't have allergies: stay away anyway. The Tom Ka was literally the worst I've ever had--thin and watery, no coconut milk in evidence, too sour, and just a very not-good taste. The larb gai was palatable but not good.

Ordered sushi while I stopped on a road trip. The food was good with reasonable portions, but I've definitely had better sushi.

This was a random stop off the highway. We were hungry and had a long drive. We took our chances and tried this place and it was excellent. The egg drop soup was awesome, and the sweet and sour cucumber salad.

Got a menu flyer in the mail and decided to order for pick-up. The Chicken and Cashews looked and tasted old, like leftovers. The Pork Fried Rice was vile! Same color and taste as the chicken. Only thing edible were the Shanghai Spring Rolls which were very greasy but after blotting not bad. The pork in the FR was sour and tough, and only veggies were a few peas and sprouts. $25.00 in the trash. Never again!

Not great chinese food. All the food tastes very "fishy" no matter what you order. I guess everything is cooked together. My General Tso's Chicken tasted like shrimp and I hate shrimp. The Moo Shi Vegetables were mainly bamboo shoots and big chunks of broccoli so that made it hard to put in the too thin and very small pancakes, almost no cabbage or any other vegetables. Not sure I will go back.

Stopped at Babao for some sushi yesterday evening and to be perfectly honest I really wasn't impressed by either the serving size which were pretty small rolls or the quality. The prize was above normal for the serving size. I have had much better and wilnot be going back here.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
