Love their pizza. The dough is the old school pizza. Thin and chewy. Love it. Best pizza in Columbia. Hands down. And they sell it by slices...

UPDATE: had a cheesesteak sub yesterday and it was delicious! The sub was stuffed full of meat cheese and toppings, meat was lean, tender and flavorful. I'm giving this place 5 stars for great food fast, quick delivery and consistency! The place for pizza and subs in Columbia!!

This little shop is away in a gas station. You might think that's an odd place to find somewhere good to eat. I certainly did. Don't let the location off but you. But I was pleasantly surprised by the pizza that I found there. I thought that the pizza was both hot and delicious. I really enjoyed the cheese pizza. And as you would imagine it was priced well.

I've been eating food from here since I was a child and 19 years later the kids chicken tender basket is still my favorite. Waterloo is located within the Exxon gas station so it's convenient to place an order then get your car washed and filled up with gas and by the time that's done your orders almost ready. Here they offer a variety of American and Italian food ranging from pizzas by the pie or slice, burgers and subs to the more luxurious pounder Stromboli and enormous quesadilla no doubt you are always getting much more food for your buck! Waterloo offers a $10 minimum delivery option as well if your in the area and are reasonably quick to show up at your door. The only down side to this place is if you place an order in person you'll be better off waiting in your car because the waiting area itself is 5ft by 5ft and when their even a little busy your bumping into and stepping on everyone.

My wife and I had been growing tired of Papa Johns and Dominoes. We looked on Yelp and decided that we would give this place a try. I think the first time we ordered we got a pizza and a sandwich. The sandwich was a hot Italian and I can't lie that was the best hot Italian sandwich I've ever had delivered to my door. The pizza was a meaty one since well I am a man and I do eat meat! But from what I can recall the pizza we both enjoyed it more than Papa Johns and it has become my family's go to for takeout pizza and subs. Don't let the fact that it is in a gas station fool you because you're missing out on some good grub.

I just ordered this on wheat bread. This is what I got! A sandwich with friggin bacon! I'm so disappointed in this place!! Check out the picture if I can load it.

This pizza is to die for. One has to be careful or you can easily overdose on this stuff. I have never had a bad slice in the many years that I have frequented this establishment.

Friendly and fast. When I was in Seattle and there was a family emergency that left my parents in the HoCo ER late at night, I was able to order dinner for them over the phone from Waterloo. They delivered it within 15 minutes to the ER, and it was very tasty.

The pepperoni slice was okay. Had to reheat it when I got home. But you're getting a value for this extra large slice.

Good food for a takeout place and convenient time for late night ordering And they deliver. Not stingy with servings.

When I was growing up I would frequently get cheeseburger subs and cheesesteaks from a place that closed several years ago. I have hunted far and wide for a place that came close to the quality without gouging the price, and I was lucky enough to find Waterloo Pizza. My buddy and I agree that this place is even better than the old closed restaurant of our childhood. My wife and I have been getting delivery from here pretty much consistently every week for the past several months now. They've never let us down. Piles and piles of good quality meat, cheese, and veggies, often with a side of their jalapeno poppers (which are huge and crisp compared to other places). You honestly would not expect this place to be serving out of a gas station.

This is a hidden wonder I would recommend the cheeseburger sub the meat is juicy and portions are pretty big for the price!!!

    Awesome NY style pizza!

This is a hidden pizza mecca. This is where I get all my deliveries for football games, parties, etc. Very good food outside of the pizza as well. I think for party time pizza nothing beats the Waterloo of Exxon.

If you want a cheap slice of thin pizza in columbia, this is a place to consider. Its hidden in a gas station, but the food is excellent. The slices are large, sometimes greasy, but always hot and fresh. Cheese steaks are consistent, good amount of meat and topping available. Good specials, and delivery.

  • Courtney J.

Subs are made with TLC, inexpensive and fast delivery. Jalepeno poppers are delicious as well! Best delivery chain in Columbia!

Pizza slices huge. Good tasting. Cheesesteak sub not too bad. Could use more meat, sub roll a bit chewy (could be fresher). Overall a decent place for fast eats. Friendly staff. Good service.

I sometimes go very far out of my way to get a couple of slices that are always ready! Great prices and good quality. Customer service is on point. Always friendly!

I only buy their pizza. I must say the pizza is excellent, my family loves it. I also think their price for the pizza is reasonable. The workers are friendly. They have never messed up my order. I have been buying from here for years.

Not going to lie, they have one if the best steak and cheeses i've ever had. We always grt coupons in the mail and use them as soon as we get them. Fast delivery too.

The food is delicious but unfortunately the management is TERRIBLE! I received the wrong order and called them to correct it one time and now they refuse to deliver to my house and eveytime I call they show poor customer service as they say "are you sure this time" and they tell me I have to pick up all my orders....it's been 7months and they still treat me this way all because of a wrong order on their part! The management is terrible here very poor customer service!!

Waterloo has the best pizza by the slice in town. Always fresh. They have a huge menu but it's hard to resist the pizza. It's location is extremely easy to get in and out. You can get two slices of cheese pizza for under 5 bucks. The pepperoni is just as good . I love the take out but free delivery is available as well.

They have recently JACKED UP THEIR PRICES. Not worth the $6.95 each per sub they ask for. Quality is not bad, but I wouldnt pay that much for a sammich from a sub shop in a gas station, The counter help is not exactly friendly, I'm sure English is their 2nd language. Either way, It should be closer to $5.00 each and then you feel like you were getting a decent value for eating in their gas station for OK quality food ( a little greasy). For $7 a sub, I'd recommend you go to a nice Italian sub shop, sit down, enjoy yourself and get a really good quality sub. I'd recommend PASTA BLITZ in Elkridge, same prices, but much better quality and newly redecorated. People nice too.

My friends look at me crazy when I talk up the pizza from the car wash/gas station/window tint place, but it's definitely delicious! I usually get the cheese pizza. It's a good deal. For under 3 bucks you get a ridiculously large slice of thin crust pizza. Highly recommend.

Pizza is good when you can get them on the phone to actually place an order... they close at midnight on Saturdays, but nobody answers the phone the hour before... better just to go elsewhere at that hour and avoid the disappointment.

Tried it for the first time because I've been hearing about it. Bought a cheesesteak with everything on it. It was great. Bread was toasted and there was a lot of steak on it too

  • VIgnetta C.

Good pizza. Crust is excellent on pies. If you're getting slices, the cheese isn't as good--provably from sitting under heat lamp. Slices are still good; but given that this place is inexpensive, it's worth it to get the whole pie.

Worst Chicken Alfredo Pizza hands down!! There was no chicken breast meat on the entire pizza...they used only mushy chicken skin and fat!!! It literally made me vomit! DO NOT EAT HERE!

The best kept secret in Columbia. Great pizza, awesome subs and really good burgers. Nice people too

This should be a 3.5. The food is not half bad for delivery from a gas station. The cheese-steak is a tad oiled which I can expect if it was attached to a BP but it's attached to an Exxon and...oh yeah. Anyways, the Gyros are awesome the cheese-steakes are decent for MD and the pizza isn't as bad as you would think. The best part of this joint is the delivery service. I tend to be a heavy tipper 45+% and these dudes remember that. No joke within 20 minutes sometime less than 15 after I order the food is at my house piping hot. If you are within their territory I would give them a shout. Added bonus and a + 5 for respect, they never menu spam my door like so many other delivery restaurants. Bottom line: Decent price, quick delivery, and the food isn't bad at all. Well except for the cheeseburger sub and any seafood dish. I mean that's just common sense Who The Eff orders shrimp from a gas station I mean really?

I've been to another one of these in a less questionable location - yes, this one is connected to a gas station. Yes, it is the size of a gas station restroom. But I'll be darned if they don't have some great gyros. Maybe a little heavy on the feta, but that's a personal choice and I just pick it off. They usually run some kind of specials on their pizzas and when you're on the go and want a slice, you can stop by and grab one as well. Their pizza is quite tasty! They do have a nice-sized menu of hot sandwiches. You'd really be surprised because of the size of the place, but they really do have a lot to offer. I'd warn against the cheese fries unless you like the nacho cheese from a can. Good fries, though.

The food is good if you pick it up and do not mind dealing with an arrogant teenage kid on the phone to order. If you get Delivery it always comes late and the food is cold. I have decided to take my business elsewhere. We really like Royal Pizza in Columbia off of Snowden. I have given Waterloo multiple chances, but each time we order Delivery our food has come cold and they are not willing to make it right. Not a smart way to run a business IMO.

I love the pizza and pasta dishes. It looks like a dump on the outside but don't be fooled. The food will leave you coming back for more.

I have lived in Columbia for about 16 years and I have always passed this place and seen the take out menu's on my door about once a month, and I remembered stopping by once to get gas and walked into the place with a friend (who was getting a sub-I got nothing) and then thinking "Holy Crap... this place is a dump!! How da heck can they make money and the food has GOT to be horrible for such a dive little place in a gas station!" Fast forward to last month when my work decided to order from this place and I was told they have great food and pizza. I didn;t realy wanna order but I had to succumb from the pressure of the rest of the workers. I was not in the mood for pizza or subs (which is really what most of these places "specialize" in, meaning if you order something else, it will surely suck. I said WTH, and ordered Lasagna with Sausage. The Lasagna was priced at $10 and with sausage it was only a $1 more. When it came, I was pleasantly surprised! It was piping hot and the portion was HUGE! Enough easily for 2 people, maybe even 3 people. And I got 3 whole grilled sausage links! You don;t even get this is most Italian rstaurants! Who charges $1 for sausage and gives you 3 large whole links! The lasagna itself was definitely better than expected. You lso get a side salad and again to my surprise, it was truly fresh- none of the leaves had browning and it looked and tatsed like it was fresh cut lettuce. You also get a huge piece of garlic cheesy bread- a ridiculously big piece! I have ordered 4X's since and had all the italian dishes and tagain the portions are huge and plentiful-almost too big to believe for the price. I have not tried any of the subs or pizza but my friends swear by them that they are just as good. I am not gonna lie, because it is still a hole in the wall and not a fine dining restaurant, but when I review a place, I review it with perspective so I obviously am not comparing this to a fine dining place. For what it is, I was blown away by how good this place is for what it is- a gas station carryout/delivery. They have other locations and I cannot speak for them but this one at the Exxon near the Mall is a pleasant surprise- I still am not sure how they can make money off of the size of the italian entrees they give out- 3 big ass sausage links for a dollar???! LOL

So this is what it feels like to get ripped off. I stopped by this place about 15 minutes ago on the way home from work. Needed to put in gas and wanted a quick bite so I thought I'd get a slice of pizza. I walk in, ask for a slice of pepperoni pizza and grab a bottle of lemonade. I asked him how much the slice was. He says $2.90 something for pepperoni and an amount lower for cheese. I hand him a $10 and he hands me some change. It was pouring outside and I just wanted to hurry up and get home so I just walked out with the change without counting it. (Yeah, I should've doublechecked). So I get in my car and drive out of the parking lot. Just out of curiosity I count the change before putting it in my pocket. Something just didn't add up. A slice was $3.25 at the most including tax. I give the guy a $10 and he gave me $4.20 in change. So you're telling me my drink was around $2.50? The pizza tasted like crap too. Greasy, looks like wet cardboard. The only thing that had some flavor was the 3-4 pepperonis on the pizza. Never going back to this place again.

If you're going to start a Tour de Cheesesteak, you might as well gas up the car at the same time. In February, I asked the question "Where do you get a good cheesesteak around here?" and got dozens a terrific answers from Howard County to Baltimore and beyond. I started in central Columbia at Waterloo Pizza & Subs in the Exxon station on Little Patuxent Parkway. Did the Waterloo cheesesteak have what I wanted? Lean sliced beef? Check. Mushrooms, onions and hot peppers? Check? Soft roll? Check -- plus bonus points for a toasted roll. That's a good sandwich. A large helping of well-done meat, juicy enough to have flavor without turning greasy. Provolone melted through the meat, and vegetables on top were generous without distracting anyone from the point that I had ordered a cheese steak sandwich. I ate happily in my car, although you could sit in the Exxon's waiting area and watch television. Even a small cheesesteak is a heavy sandwich. I felt stuffed even without any chips or sides. Waterloo isn't making a brilliant sandwich like Bon Fresco's london broil, but they do the cheesesteak right. Is it authentic? Probably not because I don't remember anyone toasting rolls on Chestnut Street. (As you read this, guys in Eagles jerseys are ranting about how Waterloo doesn't use the right bakery.) But I love toasted bread, so the crisp bread actually made my cheesesteak by standing up to the meat juices and providing a little crunch. This may take a while. I'm past my prime when I ate multiple cheesesteaks and hoagies each week. But the tour will roll through other cheesesteak suggestions. People raved broadly with a few votes a bunch of local places, including Simmies in Columbia, Diamondback Tavern in Ellicott City, and Philly's Best in Elkridge. I was actually trying to eat at Philly's Best, but the person who answered the phone couldn't be bothered to give me directions.

Good solid food. Your choice of regular or Chicago pizza crust, both are good. The western and regular french fries are good. The shrimp and spinach quesadillas are good. The guys that work there are no nonsense and get the food out quick enough. It's good.

Ordered delivery from these guys, and while the pizza wasn't exactly offensive, the service left a bad taste in my mouth. Guy who answered the phone acted like my calling him for a pizza was an enormous inconvenience. He gave me crap for not knowing the menu, then sneered when I asked for the website so I can look at it myself (BTW, if you google "Waterloo pizza Columbia, you'll get these guys: bit.ly/yjFlVl . It's a different place. The guy on the phone told me. Repeatedly.). Yeah, no website. I guess they still think it's 1994. Yelp was telling me the pizza was good, though, so I ordered anyhow. The pizza was meh. Meh at best.
