Love this place! The staff is very friendly and they assist you quickly and efficiently. They offer a large variety of cookies including their signature "double doozie" which is a thick layer of icing sandwiched between two cookies. They also offer brownies, ICEEs and sodas and make custom cookie cakes at a good price. The only thing I don't like about this place is their location, right outside the restrooms....ew!

I come here usually before my mani/pedi. It's a slightly hidden location. It can get busy at times, but they are really good with getting the line down and getting you your order quickly. I've never been to a bad Starbucks. So this one is pretty much in line with the others. This is a smaller one, so there isn't a lot of seating or outlets. They do have outdoor seating which helps make up for the space on the inside.

I went for lunch buffet. It is usually packed during lunch hours and we made a point to arrive early to avoid the wait. They opened at 11:30 and we arrived about 11:45. Soon after we arrive, there starts to have a waiting crowd. The decoration is very nice and I like the crystal glass they use for water. I am not an expert on Indian food menu, but I like what they have. There are salad, rice, vegetarian options and different chicken dishes. Most of them have a balanced flavor. The color of some dishes may look odd, but their flavors are somewhat mild in my opinion. The manager is quite friendly and made a point to greet us at the table to make sure everything is OK. It seems there are a lot of regulars, as the manager knows them well. Overall, decent food with good service.
Everyone rants and raves about this restaurant. My hubby loves Indian food so I suggested we meet him there when he was working late one night. He was late but they happily sat my son and I near a window and were so kind to my boy. The pineapple juice comes with pieces of fruit on the rim. My little man thought it was so cool. We snacked on the crispy lentil bread and never felt rushed. I was impressed with the wait staff and how clean the restaurant was. I ordered the tandoor shrimp and my husband had the chicken tiki masala. The food was good. My shrimp were huge prawns. The veggies were lacking. Two tiny pieces of pepper and a couple onion slices. My husbands portion was also on the small side. For the price, I expected a bit more food. Don't expect leftovers!
So good! We went there tonight and there was food crowd, which is surprising because it's a Tuesday. I got the chicken korna and my husband got the mango chicken and garlic naan, all very good!! The rice was different and went great with the chicken. The owner came over and offered us a complimentary glass of wine. We also got a complimentary dessert. Great service and customer service. Will be back

Today’s Catch Seafood

Reviews:
I've only tried fresh fish from Today's Catch twice. Both times, the service was good, and the fish was excellent. Nobody's going to fall in love at first sight with this small, pretty bare store. However, it's evident what their priority is, and that's providing customers with good fish. I'm no fish connoisseur (I'll usually buy canned tuna or smoked salmon), so each time at Today's Catch, I went with the random filet. Both times, the fish was delicious. Either I got really lucky with my choices, or they have a selection of good quality fish. The prices are higher than what I normally pay for seafood, usually canned or frozen, but I'll splurge once in a while for fresh, unadulterated fish.
When we discovered today's catch in Columbia, md, we were SO happy! We needed a good place to get quality seafood. Let me tell you, they have it. Only fantastic quality products. They provide great service and educate you about the different fish and even suggest cooking methods. My husband and I only buy our fish and scallops at this store. Just amazing quality, friendly service all the time. Recommend to anyone who loves high quality seafood.
Let Today's Catch make you believe again in scallops! My wife loves the sweet bivalves, but I have bought too many supermarket scallops that tasted flat. Nothing special about them except the exorbitant price. The Today's Catch Seafood Market in Columbia made me believe again. The clerk told me that they don't always have the bay and sea scallops, but when they do, they're "dry" scallops - which means that they're just scallop. Never been treated. Never been injected with saline solution or however else the wholesalers extend their profits. Today's Catch's scallops were beautiful, a half-pound of sweet, firm flesh sauteed in nothing but butter and the juice of a lime. Today's Catch has a minimal feel. Fish on ice, fillets in coolers. There is a small freezer and a display of spices, but mostly, it is a few clerks, a few fish and you. The smell is right, more sea water than fish. The selection runs from mild tilapia and cod to sushi-grade tuna and strong-flavored mackerel.

The Meadows Original Frozen Custard

6470 Freetown Rd
Columbia, 21044
Reviews:
In Columbia, craving creamy custard but can't conceive of campaigning through the countryside into the city for Charmery? Yes, I know there's a difference between custard and ice cream, but c'mon! Alliteration! Anyway. It's delicious and rich and the folks behind the counter are as sweet as the caramel they generously dollop on my small-size cup. Which is twice the amount I need, but I eat anyway because research. You're welcome.
what can you go wrong with nice creamy custard? nothing. I haven't been to this place since high school and returning three years later made me nostalgic - with good old icecream. I had vanilla with almonds, and he gave me a lot of almonds so that was great. the custard is creamy and filling, it hits the spot. price is great too, I will be back for some more in the future.
Good stuff. I got the chocolate custard which was awesome. My wife tried the cherry ice over vanilla custard, and the cherry ice was too sweet for both of us, almost syrupy. However, The vanilla underneath was excellent. We'll definitely go back, but we'll stick to custard only next time. Not the cheapest place, but having seen the sizes we'll probably just split something next time.

Deli Town

This is one of the few places in Columbia that gets the take out experience exactly right. I've ordered cheesesteaks, fried fish (they have THREE kinds), and fried chicken, and not only have I never been disappointed, but I'm actually happy and bubbling when I eat their food. The staff is friendly and ready to please. The prices are unbeatable, and everything is so fresh, it feels like it's almost farm to table. This is one place in Columbia you just can't go wrong with
Interior: tables could be wiped down more often. Reminiscent of a corner store you'd see in a neighborhood. Sells food, laundry detergent, toilet paper, packaged goods. Mostly a deli. Appears to be a family owned joint judging by the gentleman at the counter and the lady (mother?) making and bringing the food out. Food: I purchased the lamb gyro. Smelled like a gyro and looked like a gyro. Came with quite thick potato wedge. I've never had a gyro before, but it was good. I was hoping for a more savory than sweet taste. I'm pretty sure the traditional gyro doesn't use honey mustard. The thin slices of lamb were really tender as they should be. The veggies were crisp and not soggy which is a plus. As I'm writing this, I am taking more bites and have concluded that it tastes infinitely better without the honey mustardish sauce. Customers: As I am eating my meal, other customers came in and they seem really happy with the place and they like the people who run it. Definitely better without the honey mustardish sauce. I enjoyed my meal. It was a little on the sweeter side which I didn't expect, but I would definitely come back and try their sandwiches and fish. They sell fried catfish here apparently. Please the honey mustard sauce doesn't go well with the lamb gyro. It seems really out of place. Everything else was great though. Meal altogether was 7.96 including tax. Lamb gyro and bottle of water. This place is better than a 3, but not yet a 4, so I'll round up.
To confirm with Asa B, this place is in fact Korean and is family owned. The mom there is humble and very friendly, as for her son? Well I've only dealt with him once and he seemed a bit preoccupied looking over at the table full of beautiful women, which I understood, but you better not get my order wrong! Which come to find out, he never did get my order wrong. I've been to this place numerous times in the past and was always satisfied. In the most recent visit, I ordered 6 full wings with fries which comes as a chicken box and got a bottled soda. Got the food, smothered it with ketchup and hot sauce, demolished it in around 5 minutes including my bottle of sprite. Why so fast? Because it was goooood. Overall, both the service and food were consistently good. Oh and their breakfast? It's the usual including scrapple but it's fast, cheap, and delicious!

Reviews:
Seriously awesome. I work somewhat nearby and we had a menu dropped off (along with a lot of others that we get on a regular basis). One day, my coworkers and I were looking for something different and decided to try Industrial Deli. We are all hands down fans, and it has become our favorite place to order from. The sandwiches are always fresh, and taste awesome. The prices are reasonable, too. On top of that, the service is top notch, and from the countless times we've picked up food there, we've always been satisfied from start to finish.
Really nice employees! They would get five stars. Boars Head meat cut fresh for each sandwich. It was good, but nothing special.
WHAT!!! Where has this deli been hiding my whole life! It is actually pretty well hidden, lol. Where do I start... ah!! it was just so good!
