    I always look at the reviews before I try something new. But Starbucks ain't new... It was less than 15 people in line so we figured we'd take our chance. However one person making drinks and one person taking the order in a mall on a Saturday, hello where's the manager? I think we're running a little light in here. Not to mention somebody threw up in the bathroom and that was disgusting. We did let them know. Let's see if that's gotten clean by the time we leave. Okay, I was writing this review while in line. The 3rd employ was cleaning the bathroom...so, I increased my review from 1 to 2 stars. For a Starbuck's, 2 stars from me is a disaster. Maybe one should open across the hall. They need competition. I will not even mention the conversation we has with the rep at the register while trying to order the mini Frap. LOL. Let's just say, he was attempting to assist folks by advising that why pay for the mini when it cost almost the same as the regular size and we don't even know how to mix the mini, so we waste the remaining frap...really. That may be a training or corporation wide issue. But when I am placing an order, its not my issue. Give me what I order and give it with a smile! Still not sure why I upped this to 2 stars...this may get adjusted over time. This may be one to skip in the future.

    The dumbest barista EVER, I asked if they had a clover machine, they had never heard of it! Seriously. They had these dumb look on their faces. Then.... Came back later to order a coffee and I was $.01 short. I am a good tipper and in front of me was a bucket full of change with tons of pennies. Excuse me for assuming the have a penny need a penny rule might be in effect.. Nope, she insisted I break a $20 for $.01! Complete idiots! Seriously the worst baristas I've ever seen, it is the most non Starbucks, Starbucks.

    If this is the starbucks in the Columbia mall, you don't get lucky. This place can get slow service because of the crowd. Your better bet is drive away and go somewhere else. Trust me, there is a crowd but if you are staying in the mall and really want starbucks, you will pay the price of waiting in a long line. Good luck is not always for irish.

    I agree with all the other reviewers...it never fails, this location always has a line and is extremely slow at making drinks. You would think that with this much foot traffic, their baristas would/should be trained to knock out lines, but alas, that is not the case. I waited outside by the carousel while my sister went to grab a hazelnut macchiato. There were atleast 16 people in line...30 minutes later, I walk back in to see what's taking so long and she's waiting at the counter for her drink. Another 10 minutes pass and she finally gets her drink. The worst part is, the drink tasted absolutely disgusting. It tasted as if they added the wrong flavor because there was a weird coconut taste to it.

    Pretty standard Starbucks-in-a-mall. A bearded older dude took my order before I reached the register to speed things up. Maybe even Santa's working a summer job these days because the recession has negatively impacted winter toy delivery?

    Three stars only because when I get my "usual" cashier (as in the one I see more than the others) she's always very polite, tells me her favorite choices and provides suggestions to drinks similar to the ones she knows I get when I'm stuck in a rut all while still keeping the line moving. That being said this Starbucks is located within the Columbia mall right by the main entrance so you can expect that breakfast and lunch time you may have to wait 10,15 sometimes over 20 minutes to get your drink from the moment you step in line. Yes sometimes it can be ridiculous with one cashier and one barista in the afternoon. That being said lets talk about the customer service in this place! Either this location is a poor excuse for a training location or the manager is really good at hiring the wrong people for the job and firing them fairly shortly after. Aside from the one women I talked about earlier who gives exceptional service the other cashiers are meh. They call you up, take your order then maybe flash a smile as they tell you to wait in the corner where your drink will be ready for pickup. Other cashiers however can't even do that! I came Friday morning with my friend for some coffee and breakfast sandwiches and our cashier was very rude and got BOTH of our orders wrong! A peach green tea lemonade and a caramel crunch frappachino became a iced green tea and a caramel frappachino...maybe she would have listened a little better if she hadn't been giving us the stink eye for no reason. Let me also flash back to a month ago when I had a gold member exclusive email that said "buy 3 frappachinos get the 4th free" and decided to be a good friend and get drinks for everybody. My boyfriend and I had gone to this Starbucks around 3pm (relatively slow business hour) and ordered 4 frappachinos and told the guy cashing us out we had gotten an email that said buy 3 get 1 free and he said ok. Just as we paid I got a call saying my dad was in a car accident and needed to be picked up so my boyfriend quickly took off leaving me stressed but fortunately with the receipt when I noticed the guy had just charged me for all four drinks. I immediately went up to the register with my receipt and told him "hey I told you I had a coupon and you said okay but you still charged me" and his response was that I had to show him the coupon on my phone before I paid and there was nothing he could do. Seeing as I'm I very quiet and passive person I left it at that and got my drinks and left. A few minutes later I decided that wasn't okay and he should have TOLD me when I had let him know about the coupon instead of just saying "okay" and charging me. It took me calling and demanding to speak to the manager in order to get my refund. Overall this place could stand to have a few more employees during the busy hours and a hell of a lot better customer service.

    I was really excited about getting a frappe until the employee told me that the machine was broken. So I asked for a gift card maybe for the inconvenience. She just walked away and then her manager Lindsay came out to talk to me which was VERY rude. No customer service at all. No compensation, didn't seem concerned about the customer issue yes, I know the machine was broken but she said there's nothing I can I do for you. Then in front of me yell at her employee about the machine. She wasn't professional at all. Won't be returning to this Starbucks
