Best Chinese food I have found. My family has been ordering from them for over 15 years! I travel for work, and even though I know better I try Chinese restaurants and none of the food compares. Good portions, good pricing, delivery is fast, and every time I move when the driver sees us he knows who we are. Only wish the people who took the orders has a better memory. Love love love this place!

This place was terrible and it's been some hours and now my stomach is screwed and I'm running to the bathroom!!! Chicken wings were abnormally big and of course they weren't fully cooked!! My combo fried rice had some type of grayish looking mini meat strip... I don't know but I'll pass!!

So far the best place for Chinese take out that we've come across since living here in Columbia. The fried chicken wings were on point. A nice surprise was the egg roll that came with the lunch combo. Usually, I am disappointed with Chinese egg rolls because they are filled with just cabbage. However, the egg rolls here were an excellent blend of veggies and meat. We also tried the steamed dumplings which hit the spot. I'm a hot and sour soup junkie, and my craving was well satisfied. I look forward to trying the hot spicy wonton on our next visit...and the Peking duck.

Got takeout from here and it was a disappointment. The quality of the beef in the Mongolian beef dish we ordered was low as well as the chicken in our sesame chicken dish. If you want greasy Chinese food this is the place. I would recommend Panda Express over this place any day and that's not saying much.

The pork lo mein tasted like it was going bad - I love pork lo mein so I know I'm not trippin when I say this. The General Tso Chicken was okay - def not amazing or life changing like some of the other reviews that drove me to come here. The fried rice was good. The customer service was good too. I would rather eat at Panda Express. Red Pearl closed so there isnt really an amazing Real Chinese Restaurant in town that I know of.

Pretty standard. The hot and sour soup has nice thin slices of tofu rather than the giant chunks you typically find. I really like that.

To me and my boyfriend this is the best Chinese food in town. General Tso chicken in amazing! You can't go wrong with ordering from here.

I just ordered food from this place due to the reviews on Yelp. I'm not sure where most of these people are eating, but this is NOT good Chinese food. It's below average and tasteless. It is inexpensive, but spend your money elsewhere, the food is not good. Ordered the following: Crab Rangoon (not fresh, tasted fishy) Hot and Sour Soup ( Not sour, but lot's of black pepper) Pork Lo Mein (average) Sweet and Sour Combination (Sauce Watery and no vegetables) The menu that is listed on-line is NOT the menu in the restaurant.

Food is great!!! Ive been looking around for months for a good chinese carryout in Columbia and i finally found it! Just like others said, their shrimp toast is amazing. The fried chicken is HUGE and delicious, i was shocked to see how big they were. General tso chicken and fried rice also good. Nothing is to expensive and i definitely plan on ordering again from here.

I frequent this place whenever I'm in Town. It's cheap but the quality and volume is excellent for the price. I'm a sucker for hot and sour soup, and you can't go wrong with that here. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

We have ordered with them for the past 10 years and have had several issues. They would often forget food like rice, etc. One time the order we got was so nasty it was impossible to eat, they made me drive it in to return it and they gave me a hard time about the food. The issue that finally did it was they gave us the wrong order, then they made me drive it back, then they insisted on charging me for the $2 difference in the items. I always order the same meals every time. They rang up the wrong thing. Not me. Huge inconvienience for me, and they charged me for it! yuck. They get 3 stars only because the food is above average. So far though we have liked a new place we tried better.

Called in an order at 1:31PM...it is now 2:47PM and i have yet to get my food.. The lady on the phone told me 45 min and based on other reviews I didnt think I would be waiting that long.. Just called the lady and said the driver left.. Doesn't make sense given that I live like 5 minutes away (yeah, i could've gotten my lazy a$$ up and picked it up, but i'm paying for the delivery). Don't know how the food tastes..i have NEVER waited more than an hour for chinese delivery.. time to look for another place..I know it's a saturday around lunch time, but an hour 20 is a little too extreme..

The food is delicious, the delivery is fast and the drivers are always really nice. This is the only Chinese food in Columbia that i order!

This is my personal opinion only, but I think that most of the other well known fake Chinese food places in Columbia blow chunks. Their prices and portions may be decent, but volume will never make up for quality and flavor. If you are looking for quality and flavor ON TOP of heaping portions and Taco Bell prices, I have to say that Peking is the way to go. I would steer clear of Hunan if you like to actually taste your food. On the other hand, if you are big on soups... not so much this place. Once again, my opinion only, and I know that people get very particular about their fake Chinese food, but I really do not enjoy their soups. Their appetizers, on the other hand, are great. The egg rolls, crab ragoons, and pretty much every other dumpling-esk junks is great. Of course, what matters most, the mail meal is damned good. Is it the best I have ever had? Is it a "Five Star Resturaunt". No, it isn't meant to be. If this were out of ten stars, I might give it a nine. The people are friendly and cool. I suggest pick-up over delivery.

The delivery service was quick and cheerful. They have a large selection. The portion size of the food was good for the money, but the food itself was very bland. I thought my pork lo mein was bland, but then I tasted my wife's shrimp lo mein and I thought I was eating wet saltine crackers. We'll give it another try before giving up on the place.

I agree with the poster who said steer clear of "The Manor" if you want to taste your food. I wouldn't say Peking is out of this world, but it actually has taste which is more then i can say for the other restaurants in Columbia that I've tried. I have had a few misses at Peking, just like anywhere, but for the most part, the food is consistently a "4" in my book. I've even turned co-workers away from the Manor--they prefer Peking once I revealed its existence to them.

5 stars because the food was good and I have no other complaints :) The woman on the phone was nice and I didn't feel rushed at all when ordering. Also, the food came in about 30-45 minutes which is just like any other Chinese restaurant when I order delivery. Food was still hot when it arrived and the delivery man was very polite and all smiles. I would definitely order from them again.

GO elsewhere! I agree, food is great, but I cannot get past the horrible attitudes of both the in person and over the phone order. It's almost like they are going out of their way to interrupt and frustrate you. Suffice it to say the food is average, but people are far lower on that scale, I'll go elsewhere and save my nerves.

This is by far the only place I ever order Chinese food from and I have not been disappointed yet! I love this place the setting is clean, food is freshly made and orders are completed in a timely fashion...what more can you ask for?!

This place is a total hole in the wall. Last week I decided that my coworkers and I were going to go 'ethnic' for lunch on our three day training. I found this place as it was nearby our workplace. First thing worthy of note, we were the only table there just before noon. Secondly, seemingly every employee here was on the floor until we put in our order. We each ordered a lunch special of some sort. Big ups, they were all under $8. My other drawback? My coworker and I ordered a 'spicy' dish each and neither had any heat whatsoever. Totally good for the $$ and interesting place to hit up.

I went in on my lunch hour. The lady acted as if my request to dine in was an inconvenience however I ignored it. I was seated way in the back. All the lights were left off in the restaurant. I didn't complain. I briefly looked over the menu that had white out and hand written prices. Lol. I ordered the lunch special chicken Hunan style which came with fried rice and an egg roll. Not much longer my food arrived piled high on a porcelain plate. First bite was smoking hot like I like it. Everything was fresh and so good! Despite the service which o could care less about in a place like this, the food was amaze balls!

It was a hole in the wall and no one was in the restaurant. We were a carry out order. The food was fresh and delicious. Quite a surprise. Can't judge a book by its cover.

The restaurant was a bit on the dark side, and the service was a bit slow...we waited about 10 minutes for our spring rolls and another 5 for our entrees, which was unusual since we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time. The food though...amazing. I ordered the vegetable lo mein, and it was some of the best that I've ever had. The price points at lunch are definitely a huge plus, especially considering the quality of the food. I will come back here again, and I hope you give it a try.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly.
