Hands down this is the best place in Columbia, MD to have your fill of authentic kabobs, gyros, and a variety of other Persian foods. Just about everything here is prepared fresh, right before your eyes. Even the naan is made to order. My family and I have been coming here for years and will continue to come for as long as they're around. The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge, and depending on your tolerance they can make their dishes as spicy as you can handle. The only draw back I would say is the wait, but when has good food ever been fast. Give this place a try the next time you're in the mood for kabobs. You won't regret it.

Clean place, nice people and only like 50 feet inside the mall through the front entrance for takeout convenience. The meat was gristly and cooked into submission right before your eyes. Was so taken back that they had a "ground beef kebab" that I had to order it along with the lamb. Both nearly devoid of spice, flavor saved only by the cucumber sauce and some feta. the flat bread was tender, but lacked the signature flavor Par or better for the mall, but don't trust the reviews, trust your insticts, it's the mall.

Tried this place based solely off the reviews of others... I usually don't eat in the food courts of malls because I can't stand all the teeny-boppers hanging out there and I don't like malls. However, I am so glad that I decided to go against my better judgement and venture into the mall. This place is awesome!!! The gyro platter of lamb and beef was so good and it came with two different types of rice a salad and flatbread. The yogurt sauce compliments everything so very well. I also checked in on YELP and got a free small fountain soda. I was really impressed with the employees and one of them noticed that the flatbread was overlooked and she told the others that it was no good and told them to make another and for that they get my coveted 5th star!!!

Persian kabob. Very good, well made, tasty and great rice. This place has one of the best Kabobs around the area and the funny thing is that they are in a MALL. Also they have a real bread oven (see pic) that makes perfect Lavash bread.

Really good Kabob Shop conveniently located at Columbia Mall, The prices are a lil expensive compare to other kabob restaurant in the city I guess because it's located at the mall and everything at the mall is more expensive including the rent. I liked my Kabob it was fresh and hot, Rice was really good and everything was tasty. I will go check them again and decide whether I am gonna eat at KC or Charly's Steaks next time I visit mall and would feel hungry at the time!

Excellent food! If you like it spicy it's delicious! Try the Kabob is unbelievable! I still cannot believe this gem Is located in a mall!

The perfect example of an unexpected place with amazing food. I moved near this place a few weeks ago and decided to try it. I've been back at least 5 times since then. The boneless chicken platter is beyond tasty. Get it spicy if you like a kick. Always made right then and tender. Better than a lot of fancy sit down places in the area!

This place is mouth watering amazing! Healthy, fast, and great prices! This little gem of a fast food is conveniently located in the mall's food court. Usually you would think, other than chickfila, chipotle, and random other fast food joints in a mall's food court, you wouldn't expect tooo much, but this lace is A MUST TRY! I have driven to the mall plenty of times just to eat here. I am a huge falafel lover and can say that this kabob palce makes great ones! the lady who is the owner is BEYOND sweet and friendly and remembers you, which is a nice feeling. The food is sooo soo good! Prob one of the top in Columbia. Great cheap prices for a meal and you definitely get your meals worth. I usually am soo stuffed.Great flavor, great textures, great condiments, great depth, and great service! Why wouldn't you want to come here!?

This place was great. I have been craving Gyros for months now and these guys really know what they are doing. They even added spice to make it more spivey. Highly recommend.

Yummy Kabob surprisingly good for Food Court located inside Columbia Mall. They cook the Kabob when you order them at the spot so all the meat is fresh. The only downside is you have to wait for the meat to cook, so like 10 minutes. I love the chicken and ground beef Kabob. Salad is delicious! I love their House dressing which is lemon vinegrette yumm! I also love the bread they bake at the spot too!!! Also with Yelp check-in you get a free soda! can't beat that!!!

I don't know what I can add that others haven't already said but here goes. With a friend at the Mall at dinner time so we hit the food court. I already had in mind what I wanted (Kabob Connection) but we did the circuit anyway. Of course, I ended up here. The spicy chicken kabob platter is the bomb! And the bread and tzatki sauce is AH-MAZING! Yeah, the price point of $9.99 plus tax probably scares off a lot of people. But it's SO worth it. Check in on your mobile yelp app and get a free drink.

Wife and I still love this place! Only reason we step foot in the mall on purpose. Great seasoning.

  • Kem W.

Definitely the best place for dinner in the food court at the Mall in Columbia. It's probably the best place in the whole mall. I had the grilled chicken kabob platter. The kabobs are grilled right there while you wait. The platter comes with white and brown rice (you'll want to try both), salad, a big flat bread, and tzatziki for dipping. You'll have to wait a little bit and dinner is a tad more expensive than Five guys or Taco Bell, but it is so worth it. If I didn't hate being at the Mall so much I'd be a regular.

Needed a quick dinner but also a good one. Went to get a kabob and it was fast and fresh. We each got the gyro platter with chickpeas and rice. The chickpeas are made in a slightly spicy tomato sauce which is so good. The rice is also well seasoned along with meat.

This is by far my fav place to eat when I'm at Columbia mall! My usual is the chicken kabob platter extra extra extra spicy!! Lots of flavor! I've tried the gyro which is also yummy! I love the owner she is so sweet! They know my order when I come the cooks always say extra extra spicy that goes to show you how often I go! You can't go wrong with this place everything is always fresh and you get to see your meat being cooked! my fav.

Great food but I would CALL IN ahead of time since they prepare everything fresh, it takes some time.... :::::Food::::: Get the chicken kabob, perfectly cooked Coriander hummus is a JEWEL. They put cilantro, lime juice, and of course coriander. You'll get there bread on the side, I would suggest get some more. It's that good.. Overall, fantastic food for being available at the mall. I swing by this mall more often to grab kabob connection than I do to shop...try it and thank me later.

  • Kris L.

The best mall food court food I've ever had. I've eaten a lot of kabob in my life and surprisingly the kubideh was flavorful and the texture was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The rice was buttery goodness and the bread (oh the bread!) fresh out of the oven and bubbly and crispy. I have found my go to place for kebab ...in the last place I expected-a mall food court!! Note: they make everything to order so the wait is at least 15 minutes.

  • Drew P.

For a meal at the mall food court, I was really impressed. I got a ground beef kabob and a chicken kabob platter and a side of dolmeh. The beef was amazing, as was the bread. The chicken was a bit dry/bland. The dolma was also bland. Next time I will do double beef, and try the hummus... Because the bread was so great.

Unfortunately I will not go back here again. This is not a comment on the food but entirely on the service. I used to order from here so much they knew me. In fact I recommended at least a dozen people who also frequented this place all the time. Then on my last order my food was all wrong. The portion sizes were laughable. So I took some pictures and went back to them. I showed them that their last order was completely off and the attitude I got was disturbing, rude, and dismissive. I believe that even if you have great food you have to have it WITH great service. If you choose to be rude to a customer who brings you many customers, writes great reviews of you online, and orders from you often than you don't really deserve it. Its sad really.

My friend asked if I would be willing to drive to the Columbia Mall so we could go to the best kebab place she had ever been to. I was skeptical of this all...very skeptical. I ordered the chicken kebab- spicy. It was divine. The chicken is expertly marinated, moist and flavorful. The kebab platter comes with aromatic rice, white rice a salad and a large helping of delicious naan like bread. I have ordered the lamb kebab and it too was quite good, but I think I like the chicken kebab the best. The service can be a bit slow and the woman behind the counter can come across a tad surly, but its all worth it. I head here whenever I can.

I don't write a review for every place I eat. Maybe I didn't get enough information or I just ain't feel like writing. But this place is a repeat for me. I've only eaten there once and its been months but I got there spicy ground chicken and I have been craving it since. Idk why I haven't gotten it. I tried to get some finally today Because it's been on my mind for months, but there bread wasn't ready. That's okay the build up until I can bite into that wonderful tasting sandwich will be high. I don't eat red meat but I love that they cut everything in front of you and make their own bread. Why this place is a four is I have not stopped wanting to eat that sandwich again after only one time. It pops in mind randomly and food like that regardless of everything else is a HUGE WINNER! Smile!

  • Andrew M.

I eat here about once a week, the chicken Kabob and the chicken curry are always fantastic! To me it is the best ethnic food in the food court. Don't be afraid to check it out!

Forget mawand kabob! Better food, great price! Deserve their own sit down place! Fantastic

  • Victoria B.

I am amazed that this is "food court dining" because it is so delicious! I rarely ever see a line there which is a shame for some but good for me! Everything is cooked fresh and made-to-order. So be prepared to wait about 10 minutes for your meal while you watch your lamb, beef, or chicken kebob cook over open flames while your pita dough is rolled out by hand and cooked in the oven. And that is so worth it. The portion size is very generous. I think this is one of the healthier food choices for the Columbia Mall's food court and one of the nicer meal options. When I grab a bite at the mall, it is never a consideration as to where I want to eat. I always come back to the kabob connection. In fact, I am going tonight!

I've only been here once, but I think I will come again. During a mall afternoon with the wife and son, we decided to get something at the Columbia Mall food court. The question always become what will a 19 month old eat. My idea was felafel. So to Kabob Connection I went. I am not sure if it was just the time, but the service was slow. It's not that the staff was lolly gagging or anything. They just had to cook the felafel, which itself took about 10 minutes. However, when they came, they were fresh and delicious. They gyro was also great. The meat was well seasoned and the balance of meat and vegetables was perfect. In general, I had to wait for the food, but it was great. Ironically, my kid decided he didn't like felafel. Oh well, more for me.

  • Mike R.

Phoned in the chicken and ground beef kabob plate with a side order of falafel. My only complaint was the salad...it was WEAK! Slim on the lettuce, and missing the cucumbers. But hey, I'm a realist. Why judge a kabob place by the salad? It's all about the meat in these joints. I'm just saying, what happens when you put hot meats inside a to-go container with lettuce? Yea, you get some soggy ass, sad looking lettuce (ain't nobody got time for dat!) So I'm aware if I would have sat down there and eaten the experience may have been different. Onto to the meats -- The chicken was moist, and ground beef was tasty. The rice was probably the highlight for me, buttery and plentiful. The falafel, not so much. It was a little overdone, the fryer guy was a little overzealous. The food was fresh and yes I would eat there again. Overall, I would give the place 3.5 stars.

  • Tommyzee T.

Chicken kabobs are always delicious and are served with rice and a small salad. Chickpeas are well seasoned. Serving sizes are large - enough for 2 meals!

  • Steven K.

This is the best Felafel in Columbia. My wife and I have been going here for at least once a month and get the best food and excellent service. Both the felafel sandwich and platter are are awesome. The chick peas and eggplant is great too!

Falafel in Mall... yuck! But wait there's more!! Yes Kabob Connection is in Columbia Mall and there is a huge selection of food in its Food court, but I still pick the Connection. Why you ask? The food of course! The food sooooo good! I have had their falafel, chicken kabob and chick peas! All are top notch, if not the best, def in the Top 3 within in Columbia. If you are scratching your head saying what is this guy talking about, good food in a mall... Kabob connection makes you a believer. Every time, been here at least 5-6 times, the food and service has be great. The Falafel sandwich/wrap is sooo very good. The falafel is tender buy crispy with the perfect mix of sauce and wrap (not to runny but not dry) They also give you two sides of sauces, one yogurt based and one that is hot and spicey.... your move! :) The chickpeas and the chicken kabob were great too, both very flavorful and well made with attention to not just flavor but texture, depth of flavor and over all taste! I am throughly impressed with Kabob connection and plan on coming back... heck I already have! So grab skewer and chow down!

This place has been a good Kabab stop for me for almost a year. However, I've seen the service quality go down recently. On my previous visit they were out of tissue papers and instead of apology asked me to go to subway and ask for tissue papers. And be mindful of their website. Never ever try ordering online. The site accepts card details and will send you an email back with all of your information + full card number + security code + address. And when you arrive at the pick up they look at you as a deer in headlight - they have no clue of your order. When you mention about the online they will tell you that "he" is still testing the site and is not operational. They, of course, will ask you to pay again telling you the online payment did not go thru. I understand it's fast food, so not expecting a fancy service. But the security concern was little too much to digest. Will be my last choice at the food court from now on.

The Columbia mall food court is top notch. Probably the best food court in the state. With that being said, there's a lot of options. Until now, I've always chosen the Kabob Connection as my good too choice. Every order is made fresh. The downside is that you pay twice the price of any other vendor. Still I prefer this to eating food that sits in a window for an eternity before being shoveled onto your plate. Sadly, I think the Kabob Connection has gone down hill a bit...First off, the girl who took my order this week was missing half her brain. She didn't speak English, She didn't know what I ordered even though I pointed to it. She was just pathetic and stupid. I mean, how hard is it to take someone's money and give them change? Unfortunately it's quite a tough job for some people. I ordered iced tea but the girl didn't understand that she needed to give it to me. I felt like I was talking to a cave woman who never communicated with humans before. Call me intolerant but if your running a business why would you hire someone like this to deal with your customers? Anyways, I stood and waited for my meal and watched this train wreck of an operation proceed... There was one guy cooking all the food, who was constantly being distracted. He overcooked my chicken as a result. The ground beef kabob was tough too. The salad was just okay and the bread was awesome as always. Maybe I just came at a bad time, but for $14 I expect a quality meal...

Delicious kabobs, gyro and eggplant. Awesome taste. They give you too much food that you will be able to finish. And it is cheap, fresh and tasty if you compare with other kabob places. If you are in Columbia mall, and you feel hungry, stop by there!!!

    (5)
  • Alida H.

Delicious kabobs, but not the best I've ever had. The lamb was succulent and juicy but for the price you pay, you do not get enough meat. The wait was about 15 minutes for the lamb platter but it is well worth it. I also tried the spicy beef gyro, which was pretty good as well. This place is a good choice if you do not want your usual mall food. However, I wished that their cucumber sauce was a bit thicker. It was too watery for my taste.

  • AJ K.

Out of all the food court joints at Columbia Mall, Kebab connection is by far the tastiest and freshest food. Their meat is extremely tender and packs a lot of flavor. You can sometimes see the chef putting the meat on the charcoal grill. Portions are quite generous, slightly pricey but this place rocks with the taste that their meat has. Shawerma is a little dry so i tend to stay away but all of their kebabs, chicken, beef, beef tenders are totally amazing!

  • Yaka H.

I was a bit surprised to hear that a kabob place would be opening in the food court at the Mall in Columbia since it isn't a truly fast food option and seems a bit risky. It's a nice change from the other fast food court mall offerings, but keep in mind that since the kabobs are being cooked to order, you'll have to wait a bit (it seemed like people weren't really prepared for the wait time). The platters here are generously portioned. We opted to try and Chicken and Ground Beef Kabob combination platter and the Lamb Kabob combination platter. Each platter came with a salad of feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a pepperoncini, rice, a piece of naan, sliced onions, a grilled tomato piece, and a good amount of doogh (yogurt sauce). Drinks are not included in the meal; drinks are separate. The chicken and lamb kabobs were pretty large chunks and all the meats were juicy. If you looking to take a nice break from shopping (or the headache of shopping in such a crowded mall on weekends), treat yourself to a somewhat more slow-paced kinda meal and grab a juicy kabob combination platter.

  • MIchaei G.

Do yourself a favor and dont eat here. First of all staff is pure rude Bland fold. I got the gyro and the only best part was the salad. No authenticity whatsoever. I been to many persian restaurants

  • Amy C.

Huge portions at a decent price! Chicken kabob platter for 10 bucks and if you check-in, free drink! I have enough for leftovers tomorrow :) They make fresh pita for EACH order. I was astounded by this and the pita was still delicious when I warmed it up the next day. So thought it may not be the fastest "fast food" at the food court, it is fresh and delicious. I just might have to check out Kabob Connection again before I run to my usual Sarku Japan chicken teriyaki :)

  • Candice D.

Delicious food, a little odd that it's in the mall but what can you do. I've only had a chicken gyro so I can't say that it's any better or worse than say Maiwand Kabob, but it is different. And the food is good! Definitely worth a shot if you're in the mall and you're hungry.

  • Milan R.

Its a travesty that this place is located in a mall's food court. But don't let that keep you away from what arguably is Columbia's best falafel/kabob joint. Once you order, be prepared to wait for atleast 10-15 mins to get your food. And you only have to take a peak behind the counter to understand why a food court place should take 15 mins to serve a wrap. They prepare everything fresh here, everything ! The kabobs are not taken out of the marinate and onto the grill until you order. The falafels are not refried like other places do, but are fried fresh and only once which keeps it moist and tender. Having lived in Asia and Europe, my wife is no stranger to good chicken kabobs , and she gave KC's kabobs a big thumbs up. I was equally impressed with my falafel which was tender, with a good dose of spicy sauce spread inside the pita which had a delightful nutty taste to it. Yes, at $9 for a sandwich it does seem a bit expensive for fast food. But Kabob connection is not just any other fast food, not when it is made fresh in front of you and takes 15 mins to make it to your table. Give it a try and you wont be disappointed !

Something different from the commons yet something familiar, Gyro, Baklava ( a really sweet dessert), Kabobs, a Middle Eastern/Persian food. If compare to stand alone restaurant outside of any mall, the food mall price is something to think about. But hey, if you are strolling and carrying bags of items from the stores mall, it would not hurt to put another hole in your purse to connect with Kabob food curiosity. Simple meat (Palentinian spiced choice of chicken, beef & lamb), basmati (white or colored yellow) rice, some basic salads (lettuce, cucumber, tomato & onion), and a perfect (for sure) flat bread will make your (cultural) day off out sight of the mall rats.

  • Mark N.

I got the Kabob Gyro. This place is located next to subway in the food court. The gyro tasted above average and it was a good change from the other typical food places. The only problem I have with Kabob Connection is the prices and servings. The gyro looked bigger in the picture and I could of definitely ate another one.

  • Ariana K.

It's in the food court of the mall, yes. But it's very tasty and everything was fresh.

  • Derek I.

OMG, the lamb/beef gyro sandwich ($7) was off-the-chain! I will go back to Columbia Mall just for this gyro. Gyro is one of those dishes I am very particular about--to the point of being a gyro-snob, but this place completely took me off guard and then some. The gyro was flavored to near perfection---meat was juicy, spiced just right, the tzatziki sauce was creamy and it did NOT overwhelm the meat, and vegetables tasted fresh. I did have to wait 16 minutes to get my sandwich--my order was "lost" but the manager was very apologetic and hooked me up with, you guessed it, more gyro! That 16 minutes was worth all the wait and I was able to extend my pig-out gyro feast! Make sure you "check in" so you can get the free drink!

  • Dan C.

Best kabobs i've tasted thus far and i've been to all of them in the greater metropolitan area. The meat is superbly seasoned, moreso than any other place i've tried and it's cooked extraordinarily well. The meat is plump and juicy, they definitely have to be marinating these or something. Their sides are of much better quality than i'm used to as well. A kabob place might be a little out of place in a mall food court though, as it's cooked to order and requires a wait time. This can cause hassle for impatient/hungry customers and confusion when the store or food court itself is crowded.

  • Terri G.

Got hungry after a day of shopping at the Columbia Mall and found ourselves at the food court. Was surprised to find a kabob place where they make their own pita bread fresh in the middle of the mall. We decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did! Like I said...we were hungry so we ordered the hummus, baba ghanouj, chickpea curry and a chicken kabob. This was a feast fit for a King! Or Queen! Needless to say, we licked our plates clean. Everything was delicious! The food was fresh, seasoned wonderfully and very filling. Good thing we ate after shopping because we would have needed a size larger! You know what those delicious chickpeas do! ;-)

Great and Courteous Service!! Fresh made Food and Veggies!!!! and Taste that is spectacular!!! What more could you ask for?? Kabob Connection has it all. Food is made to order(and it is completely worth the wait) you can easily enjoy during lunch from work or a day of shopping. The meat is very tender and juicy and I was amazed at the large size portions, also with an abundant of rice and salad greens and large size pita bread. The chutney tastes so good with the meat. This a sure winner at the Columbia Mall!!!!

What wonderful food! And as good as any restaurant. I've had the ground chicken spicy kabob, the chicken kabob, and the ground beef kabob. You essentially can't go wrong with anything at this place. Everything is so flavorful. It is a bit pricey for mall food, but its definitely worth it. The Indian food, i.e. the samosas, mango lassi etc.. isnt worth getting here. I've never tried them but it is marked up 3x. But apart from that, the kabobs are just amazing and definitely worth it.

  • Eunice F.

yum! the gyro sandwich lamb and beef was great! fresh ingredients, juicy and flavorful meet and freshly baked pita bread. this place is a pleasant surprise for a mall food court place! its cooked to order but totally worth the wait!

INSANE!!!!!!!!!! I walked to the mall food court get a bo-ring friday lunch (to be scarfed down at my desk) and came back with the-real-thang Mirchi Bhajjis (Spicy Pepper)? Are you kidding me? AT A MALL? In the United Food Courts of Suburbia? Kabob Connection, you can have my heart on a pate today!! The pepper may be way too hot for most people, but the other food is pretty amazing and made fresh, no msg, no stale rice. And if it is halal, the meat most probably came from a local farm.... most Baltimore area halal meat does. We know because the fam goes to the farm for Eid every year and our local butchers are for real. Give this a whirl... you won't regret it.

My gyro was fantastic, only a 5 minute wait. Very filling, definitely get your money's worth, staff was friendly and the server remembered me and called me over from where I was waiting when my order was ready.
