Grace’s Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Food is always good but the bar can get a little crowded and loud. nice for cigar smokers, even in the winter with a enclosed( plastic) patio with heaters

I can walk to Graces from my home, which means I've frequented the place often; much more than I do now. I don't care what you order, the food is great . I love the lamb chops. Yes, it does get loud; the air often filled with loud, pretentious conversation...other than that, I highly recommend,

YES. Similar to my other review of Grace's Mandarin, this Grace's in Bowie is the same thing but on a smaller scale and with hibachi grills. Sushi was excellent, wasn't small, full of fish. The hibachi chicken lunch I shared with my girlfriend was delicious. The vegetables and fried rice are awesome. Great, classy ambiance. It's in probably the best shopping center in PG County, too, with a Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, Target, Chipotle (!) and Chick-Fil-A (!!) all within a stone's throw of eachother. Only thing it's missing is a place to get ice cream or frozen yogurt, like a Cold Stone or something.

Grace's what do I say? Hmmmm... bourgeois + ghetto = boughetto and I'll explain why. Location: pretty easy to be found in the I believe Vista shopping center off of MLK, it is right next to Panera. They have a small area for outdoor seating. Ambiance: This place is huge! When you first come in, it is quite inviting, the pretty lights, lush curtains, schwanky seating. Which there is lots of btw from bar seating, to a dining area to a hibachi grill. I just couldn't grasp what vibe they were going for though. You had all these nice things, with rachet Louis Vuitton-like monogram carpet and I think at one time I was getting down to I get Around by Tupac and Fu*kin' Problem by A$AP Rocky. Huh? Exactly. Menu: okay so maybe I messed up a bit, because all I ever really wanted was some lo mein. Well apparently this is not something that is served here. I think I offended the server when I asked for it, he totally gave me the stank face before walking away. Oh. Okay. Personally, I thought the menu was rather small, I wasn't particularly excited about anything that was featured. I thought that things were slightly overpriced considering the location of the venue. I mean it's Bowie not the Harbor... Anywho, I ordered the combo pad thai to fulfill my noodle like craving. I specifically ordered it to be spicy. It came out, nice sized portion, beautiful plating. It tasted okay, spicy it was not. Service: I'll call him Micheal. I don't know what his name really was, I think Michael fits though. He was alright at best. He forgot things, and messed up orders for drinks and such; however, he made up for it with his random comical comments, rather explanations to things. Eh. All and all. Grace's seems cool. Maybe for a saddidy HH with a potential boo thang or a current boo thang. Nothing super special for me to go out of my way to return just because. I expected more for the price point. boughetto.

The same thing I said about Grace's Fortune -.amazing only hibachi style. They do have a separate dining area if you decide not to do hibachi. Great portions, great customer service, and great food of course! I'm not a frequent visitor but we come maybe once every 3 months.

This location can get crowded quickly especially at the bar area, I enjoy the hibachi especially the fried rice and often order to go.

This place is gorgeous and has an elegant feel to it. The decorations are beautiful but I wish the food reflected it in terms of taste. I had a Hawaiian chicken which just seemed like thoroughly fried double battered chicken in a sweet sauce with pineapples, onions, and bell peppers. I did not like it. My bf had a general tso chicken and shrimp combo he thought it was ok, definitely not worth the price. I also had a spicy tuna roll and a mango mousse. I loved the sushi and the dessert was good but that would not persuade me to come back. I'm not being frugal at all, just being logical, with the $100 spent we could have had far better food elsewhere. After the initial interaction with the server it was very hard to receive any other service. She was barely around and it was hard to get her attention.

I'd give this place 5 stars if the bar area was a bit larger. The crowd is wonderful, the food is absolutely amazing and the bartenders.... the BARTENDERS. The bartenders make sure your'e enjoying yourself, but you do need to be assertive as they will give you a drink you did not ask for. The chicken wings are handcrafted by baby angels and placed gingerly on a plate from heaven. It's so good when it hits your lips... Go during happy hour if the prices shock you a bit. They have a cool after work crowd.

Just got the crave for Thai food today, so I browsed for a good Thai place nearby. This place got 3.5 so I thought "not so bad, lets try" Called to order Pad SeeEw, but the receptionist who answered the call "we only have Pad Thai as a noodle dish". That should have raised a Red flag cuz what kind of Thai restaurant doesn't have Drunken, SeeEw?... Anyhow, my tummy beat my logic, so I ordered a veggie Pad Thai to go. The girl told me its $13 so I asked "is it dinner or lunch size?" n she said "we only have 1 size" The result is disappointing! Food is bland, I had to add 2 spoonful of Pad Thai sauce I have in my pantry, the portion is clearly lunch size. I feel ripped off. I'll post the pics here if iPhone app let me for you to judge whether it's worth $13. I will not come here again, nor recommending this place to any1 I know. I have to say that the interior is very decorative, the place smells like an airport smoke zone tho.

Came for happy hour with a girlfriend for drinks and appetizers. I had the Shrimp Rolls and they were actually pretty good. Like other reviewers I don't understand the "Asian Fusion" concept at all. However if you want a cool place to watch the bar with suga daddies by all means this is the place for you lol.

  • Travis S.

The lunch box A or B is a great choice during lunch time. However, I met a friend for happy hour and I must say that the cougars were loose and trying to attack. The appetizers were ok I felt the lamb chops could be bigger. They were juicy in flavor but really small forcing you to order more from the menu.overall my experience was great minus the super aggressive women.

I was craving sushi and a nice glass of wine and Grace's was the number one pick for the DC metro area. No only do they have grate sushi selections, but everything is made fresh and the ambiance is very classy. (It's in a random place tho.. right next to the Home Depot and Target... #fail) My friend and I ate at the sushi bar and also ordered dinner there. Everything came quick and hot and the portions were pretty generous... i'm having the rest for lunch today :) The posted pictures don't really do the restaurant justice, they are dark and gloomy, and the place is exactly opposite. Maybe the lens was blurry... Please refer to my sushi pic and be amazed :) I'd definitely go again for regular dinning or with some girlfriends to the bar.

Asian fushion restaurant is the right description because it offers dishes from a variety of regions but the two primary...or should I say most popular aspects there are the sushi and the hibachi meals. Service is not the greatest and the price is a little high BUT....the food was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was on the level of Kobe's but probably a notch higher than say Sakura's. Customer service notice: It would serve DMV restaurants well to employ wait staff that 1) Speak functional english and 2) Like people

  • Vivi N.

Slightly overpriced but definitely a winner in my book. One of the few upscale Asian restaurant PG County has. It's located right between a Shoppers and Panera Bread. Within the center is a Target, Home Depot, Chipotle, Chick-fil-a and Elevation Burger. This kind of cracks me up. But besides all of that, it's a great place to eat.

  • Kelly G.

Grace's is a bit pricey but worth it! For starters they feed you a lot so plan on taking food to go! We have had food the Sushi, the hibachi and the general menu and so far all are good! The hot towels are the best! The Calamari, chicken wings, short ribs, spicy tuna roll, the pad thai and the sea scallops are all wonderful. Best of all is the whole fish with the head and all, it so good and we keep going back! Lol, at the Relax Reisling and the Sweet Cakes Moscato! They have a nice looking Happy hour crowd that keeps it packed on Thursday and Friday.

    (5)
  • Rokeya J.

I love their food and drinks. I think they are to pricey in my opinion so I go during lunch or happy hour but never again for dinner. They have really good wings and sake.

  • Sally M.

Food was good, but man was it expensive. Our total bill for two entrees plus three drinks added up to $101 for two people. The food was good but not so good that I would pay that amount again. The atmosphere was also pretty nice and the service was good.

Great for sushi. Recently went for a birthday party and was not even aware they did anything else. So, they have the hibachi grills and cook a variety of good Asian meals. Can't remember every dish. But we had about five and all were mouth watering. The party of 24 were served by one waiter, who handled us with ease. The bar although small, is always packed and the drinks are good and strong. This is a good place to dine where you should not have a bad experience. I have been a dozen times and have always left filled and satisfied. It is a little pricy for dinner. And the gratuity of 20% is already in your bill.

  • Jerry M.

Very nice! Excellent place for a first, second, or third date... This place makes a very good first impression. A bit pricey but then the last few times I went I didn't pay. A little crowded for happy hour a must for someone who is networking. Again the food is above average, the portions are above average, the service is top notch, the decor is appropriate, the waitstaff was sexy. Only complaint is that the happy hour crowd is loud at times so it lacks intimacy but then everyone is single and good looking at happy hour.

  • Brian J.

I come here often for lunch and order the same thing (one roll and 5 pieces of sushi lunch special) which is chef's choice on what they're serving for the day. The service is always good, efficient and pleasant. Presentation is done nicely and the lunch special is a deal. At $15 it includes salad, miso soup, whatever roll is being offered that day (sometimes a hand roll which isn't my fav but I still go for it) and 5 pieces of nigiri. The fish always tastes fresh. Full bar is available. Hibachi grill tables are also available although I've never tried them out. I didn't get my hot towel yesterday when I went - I hope they're not dispensing with that nice perk!

  • Ky T.

This place is overpriced and overrated. The decor and atmosphere are really nice as far as ambiance...definitely rave worthy. It's pretty inside with gorgeous chandeliers and lounge style furniture, a lovely waterfall wall at the entrance, and statues around the restaurant that make you want to take pictures. Our drinks were made well as they should have been for $12-$15 per cocktail but I did not like ordering a top shelf long island iced tea and watching the bartender make it with all rail ingredients, then still charge the top shelf drink price. The steamed mussels were small, tasted fishy and gritty, and came in a watery broth I did not enjoy. I have NEVER seen Crab Rangoon served smothered in melted cheddar cheese the way Graces makes theirs and after tasting it, I can assure you that you won't want to either. I did thoroughly enjoy the lightly fried salt and pepper whole fish with steamed vegetables entree but my girlfriend was disappointed with her steak and lobster teppanyaki entree citing it was dry and overcooked. Our bill exceeded 150$ for the 2 of us which seemed way in excess of our meals and drinks value imo. One of the most frustrating parts of our visit were the creepy old men who would not stop visiting our table and interrupting our conversation. They were a nuisance with their incessant flirting and attempts to make conversation with us despite our blatant looks of annoyance. A hostess and server were amused by this and advised us that the guys were their regulars and that they came in almost daily to mingle with young women..... if you could see the look of "I couldn't care less" on my face you'd understand just how close to letting these geezers know I had ZERO interest in entertaining their retirement/social security check 'turn up' attempts :/ What could have been an above average dining experience was definitely brought to just an average one largely due to Old Dirty Bastard's creepy pain in my arse uncles' trying to lure us back to their senior living man caves.

I've done Hibachi before, and although it's always a lot of fun, there are a lot of similar elements. It's always really fun the first time, and pretty fun after that. That said, Grace's theatrical element was somewhat lacking compared to other Hibachi places. I've been to restaurants with more enthused chefs. We had a large party, and were split between two tables. I got to observe both our cooks, and neither seemed to be as energetic (or talented) as the ones at the last Hibachi place I went to Frederick. The salad was actually fairly good, but mainly because of the sweet and tangy dressing. I gobbled it up! Average soup, and tons of butter on the vegetables and chicken I got. But it sure did taste good! I think I felt my heart stop a little. Drastically overpriced. The decor makes it upscale, but the food and service can be found for a better price. Delicious from the massive amount of butter tossed on the grill.

I'd give them 3.5 if I could. This is an upscale Asian restaurant. Love the warm towels to clean hands before eating. The bar is quite popular, I wish the noise levels were controlled a bit more so didn't bleed over into the dining areas as much. They've got some barriers that definitely help, but could use more. It is a pan Asian food place, as they've got sushi, a hibachi area, as well as some Chinese and Thai dishes. Service is generally good.

I'm so used to being bamboozled by sushi places... little did I know, that until I met Grace's, I was being abused.... Mentally and stomachly I was swimming around my house trying to figure out something to eat and I picked up a book that said.. "Sushi is healthy" (THE EXACT QUOTE). Well I got dressed and rolled out of my house to try to get my OMEGA-3 on! I put in my order for a rainbow roll and seaweed salad. I asked that I have crab meat instead of Krab and I was nicely informed and (shocked to hear) that they intended on using real crab meat anyway. Err? Forrealz? Was I wrong to ask? Have I not been conditioned to think that the crab was going to be fake? So I paid, grabbed my bag and headed home. I opened my bag, which was packed with love and care and dove in. The rainbow roll is delicious. So fresh! So... hold on... taking a bite... and.... yum! What was I saying? Anyway, try this place out! They have a sushi and cocktail hour every day from 3-7 pm and TVs, but make sure you get the sushi!

  • Devin R.

Great sushi (smoked salmon roll, crispy shrimp & shrimp/avocado rolls are my faves) and pretty good drinks. Plus they have different happy hour specials which I love. I had Grace's punch (I think that's it) with SoCo and some other things....they had me at SoCo! The smoked salmon is really smoked and their ginger and sesame salad dressing is liquid crack. Seriously. The wait staff is just attentive enough to let you know that they're there if you need them--not annoying.

I don't get the fascination with this place! The food is O k....the drinks were unremarkable. I don't know that I even want to go back.

  • Kim H.

I've visited Grace's many times for happy hour and enjoyed their entrees and appetizers, which are really good. The last time we visited, we decided to try the hibachi grill...big mistake! The entrees are extremely expensive compared to Sakura and doesn't taste as good. I guess that's why we were the ONLY party dining in that part of the restaurant. We'll never return for the hibachi grill...happy hour is cool though..

  • Megan D.

The food here is pretty unimpressive for how much you have to shell out. The service isn't great either. My two stars are for 1. The atmosphere. It is decorated very well and has a pretty nice ambiance. And 2. The drinks! Lol I must say the drinks here are pretty tasty. But unless you want to spend $100 for a dinner for 2 that leaves you less than satisfied, I'd just come here for happy hour.

    (2)
  • LaToya E.

The atmosphere here is really nice! Our cook was very friendly and made sure to really put on a show while he was preparing the food for us. The drinks were nothing to write home about, they came out pretty but not much else to it. The food was pretty good but like others mention its pretty expensive for what it is.

  • Nicole L.

I love this place. It is one of my new favorite restaurants. The Shrimp Pad Thai is lovely and that MAYO sauce...oh my goodness...so much flavor. The hibachi is entertaining and the food is sooo delicious. I've been to Sakura's, but the food was no where near as good as Grace's. I love shrimp...so I'm all over this place. *They give you plenty of shrimp. The prices are high though, but I'm not complaining because they are getting this restaurant thing right! OH ALSO try the calimari...I'm not sure if they have that deal on Tuesday's where you get calimari half-off or something ...but the calimari really is worth a try. The decor is great... Very cozy. I feel like this place is one of the few jewels in the community and I'd really like it to remain here. I'll most definitely be back.

This place could be much better. But the food has been a miss lately and the drinks too damn expensive!

3.5 Stars Ok, so I had logged on to Yelp.com to see if I could find a place to eat after going to Six Flags. I quickly found this place, scanned the reviews, jotted down the directions, and off we went to Six Flags. We rode rides, got wet in the water park, and all that mess. Afterwards, we easily found Grace's and my boyfriend started wondering if they would have a dress code since we were still a bit wet and wearing shorts and flip flops...I though nah...it's in a shopping center..how fancy can it be? Flash foward a few minutes: We walk in...the restaurant is decorated so nicely and the people...the people are wearing business wear and some casual business wear and the staff is wearing the traditional chinese dresses. Meanwhile, my boyfriend laughs behind me and informs me that the whole backside of my college t-shirt is wet...great. So we sit down at a comfy booth with pillows and the waitress brings us some hot towels (nicee..). We both ordered a noodle dish, some sushi, and sashimi. The food was yummy, but I've had better (and at a cheaper price too). The service was good as well. Conclusion: Not the best place to go after Six Flags, but a nice place to take a date or go for a special occasion.

I frequent Graces for lunch. I always get the Chicken Pad Thai. Very busy in the evening and weekends

  • Bunmi A.

Yuck! It was so anti-climactic too. You're greeted with warm towels, in a nicely decorated restaurant and you expect to have a pleasant dining experience to follow. Not quite. The food they served did not live up to the descriptions on their menu, or the ambiance they're selling in the restaurant. My boyfriend had a chicken dish that was basically bread-crumb battered and fried until it was dry enough to use as a weapon accompanied with some kind of bland mayo-based sauce. I'm not sure which asian cuisine that dish was supposed to be inspired by, but it was gross. The so called basil chicken I had was extremely salty, and the fried rice was meh. Way overpriced. Not worth the trip.

Great food. Loved the Lambchops. Drinks were onnnn point. Late night dinner choice on a Friday after a long week. Definitely made up for it. Next time I will try the sushi!

  • Christine P.

The food was only 3 stars. I sat at Hibachi table (maybe I should have taken Sotereas P's advice?) and as Hibachi goes, nothing remarkable in comparison to others. The Hibachi/Teppanyaki dishes come with salad with ginger dressing (dressing was yummy) followed by onion soup that was way too bland. Chicken: $18 drenched in terriyaki sauce Shrimp: $22 way too salty Soft Shell Crab Roll: $12 THIS was yummy at good price. Chicken Satay: $9 for 3 sticks of chicken! p'sha!!! The interior is very well done with high ceiling and Asian decor that is somewhat vague in their origin. To purist however, this interior may scream too pretentious as to point out, "This is an Asian restaurant!!!" The servers (all girls/women) wears Cheongsam as their uniform while really pretty, I wonder if they can breathe. I liked the hot towel service in the beginning of the meal and the fact that they had a hook for your purse in front of you. (I'm so easily pleased.) Bottom Line: Pretty place with nice service and is literally a stone's throw from my house but other than that, nothing remarkable. 3 stars for food and additional 1/2 star for decor and service. Oh, minus 1/2 star for the audacious prices. **located in a shopping center in between Panera Bread and Shoppers Grocery. Right off of Rt 50 and 495**

I went to Grace's for the first time a few nights ago and was somewhat impressed. The ambiance was amazing and food was delicious. Our party was mostly there for the hibachi and the chef was very accommodating, as our party had specific requests. My husband had a meal off the hibachi menu and was equally tasty. Our server could no handle our large party which accounted for the deduction of a star. I would definitely recommend this place.

  • Crissy T.

I am generally not a fan of hibachi restaurants because I don't like the food, plus I always feel like I am going to lose my eyebrows when they light the initial fire. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I went Sunday night for a friend's birthday dinner. I ordered a chicken dish that was fantastic. The atmosphere is great...and I'd definitely make a return visit so I can try the sushi.

Love the sushi, service and atmosphere but it is pricey. I come out for there Wednesday night special for wine & sushi. It has the potential of being 4 or 5 star but even their Wednesday special is expensive!

I finally went to Grace's for lunch... I was impressed the food had such a beautiful presentation ... and it tasted wonderful and plentiful. I liked the hot towel service in the beginning of the meal, the servers were very courteous. I would definetely go again ... soon I hope

  • Sharneen S.

It's a tad costly for being in a strip mall but it's good eating and the atmosphere is nice!! The bar gets really crowded early. Wednesday night is half price on bottles of wine and $3 off sushi!! Can't beat that. Try the Dragon rolls and Calamari!! Yummy!! :o)

  • Ken K.

Awesome. Food was great. Had the crab rangoon and although it was topped with Cheddar, which I thought odd, it was good. Also tried the Peking duck which was grand. The dish fought back tho by peppering me with plum sauce essentialy destroying my new shirt. It's ok as i stole some soap before leaving. As for the prices, tgey do seem to be out of whack. Maybe because of the Louis Vuitton rugs, marbled chop sticks, and linen napkins. Still worth it.

I have been here three times in the past week. Happy hour is the best and everything is great! The staff is friendly and will help explain the food choices. I'm not a martini drinker, but their mango martini is DELICIOUS.

Wow! Delicious food, great presentation, and the best cup of green tea I've ever had in a restaurant. Impressive, classy, unique design and decor -- inside, that is. (The outside is a different story: Grace's is in a strip mall that does not suit Grace's interior or personality.) Friendly, considerate, professional, hospitable staff. An all-around awesome experience. (Though you may wish to blindfold yourself and / or your companions so as not to tarnish your experience from the outset by the not-very-charming 'blah' strip mall exterior.)

I have never been disappointed when eating here. I sneak away to eat here often by myself and order sushi (dragon roll) and a cocktail (Marghatini). The service is excellent and they are not over bearing. I have ordered several items from their menu and so far everything has been on point. Although a little pricy, I highly recommend it.

My life is complete. I've found it and now I have the address. After years of searching for this gem of a place that we accidentally stumbled upon on the way to Six Flags, I've found it! Well I'm 99% sure this is it. It looks exactly like it, and it's in the right city. So yes, I've found it! I don't remember the menu being so Japanese oriented when we went. It was much more Thai yummy goodness. I do however remember it being the best meal I had to date in my 20-some odd years of existence to that point (although I may have been only 19 at the time). Now that I have the address I can go back some time soon and give it the proper once over to make sure nothing has changed. HOORAY!

Grace's is an Asian Fusion place that differs from Grace's Fortune and rivals any restaurant in D.C.- I promise. They do have the classic Japanese Hibachi's but if you want a great meal with Asian influence plus a little flair- sit in their dinning area. Although Grace's is located in a shopping center, once you walk in you'll forget that you are in Bowie and think you are downtown. The decor is great and I know a number of people who drive out of D.C. to eat here. For lunch or dinner, the atmosphere is sophisticated and comfortable. While eating here keep an eye out for many local celebrities, you will spot more than a few on a weekend night as they all know where the best food can be found.

I only visit the bar when I go to Grace's so this won't reflect the dining options. This seems to be the go-to bar for those living in the surrounding area. On each of my visits, I've seen familiar faces. From my experience, this is one of few bars in the County with a patio, so that's proven popular when the weather's warm. I have always received good service at this location and the bar patrons are friendly; I think a girl could come here alone and not feel awkward about it - not that it's come to that.... The bar area is small and dominated by a communal table that encourages mingling. It's probably best to get here before 7 as it can quickly get crowded by the regulars. The crowd is generally 30+ and comprised of professionals looking to unwind. I've visited Grace's on various days of the week and the bar is always active. There's a large t.v. above the bar for those interested in that sort of thing. The drinks are fine, nothing creative or overly strong, but typical of most bars. Drink prices range from $8-$12.

I used to go to the Grace's when it was farther up Rt 450 in Bowie. They opened this place up awhile back and I understand they closed the one "uptown". This is a great place. Nice atmosphere and lots of variety from a traditional menu to sushi to teppanyaki and more. During nice weather they even have an outdoor cigar bar which seems to be extremely popular. The service is great. Very attentive, friendly and quick. The food is excellent. I had the General Tso's Chicken which sounds pretty typical except that I was asked if I wanted dark or white meat. That's never happened to me before. When it came out, it was delicious. The only downside is that some of the patrons can be a little boisterous and noisy. I kinda like a quieter place but at least people were having a good time and it seems to be a meeting place for people. It also has a secluded "meeting" room with a large monitor for business meeting or private parties. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for their variety of food, quality and general ambiance.

I have been coming to Grace's for years and this has to be one of my favorite spots for happy hour. The happy hour is half price small plates, cocktails and several other items. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. I love coming here because of the crowd, food and customer service. The small plates menu is very good. I personally love the Grace's wings, lamb chops and fish nuggets. The crowd is mature during happy hour but the restaurant itself is good for large groups and is child friendly. The location is not far from the beltway and is not hard to find. There is always parking even if the place is packed. I highly recommend this spot if you want a nice ambiance and good company.

Once again, I've apparently been living under a rock. I have passed Grace's zillions of times and never had an interest in stopping in. During the summer months, if I go to the Panera next door, I'm usually blasted out with the stench of cigar smoke coming from the outside of Grace's. Since I don't smoke, that was a major turn off to me and that's the main reason I've never been. Plus, I was never interested in trying sushi. Well, I was tossed outside my box and it was suggested by a few friends that we meet here for happy hour and for me to try some sushi! I've truly been missing out because this place is gorgeous on the inside. I was a fan of the original Grace's Fortune in Bowie, on Annapolis Road before they closed. I have even enjoyed the Grace's at National Harbor, but I had no clue this location was so gorgeous. I'm a huge fan of Asian decor and the decor throughout the restaurant was so chic and stylish. A designer's dream! The ambiance of Grace's is classy and very tasteful. The bar is like a little lounge area, with couches, bar stools and a high table with chairs. The service was really good and the staff was very accommodating. With happy hour specials that include 1/2 price small plates and 1/2 price sushi and drink specials, it's really worth stopping in and trying. Just remember that HH is Mon-Fri from 3-6 pm. I was eased into eating sushi by ordering something that I knew wasn't too over the top for my taste buds. I ordered the avocado and shiitake mushroom sushi rolls. They were actually really very tasty. I think I had the misconception that all sushi contained raw fish/raw seafood. Who knew? Well, apparently a lot of people knew, because I've seen how popular sushi is among my Yelp friends. What can I say, I'm a late bloomer. Needless to say, I am now a fan of SUSHI!!! Plus, since this restaurant is close to where I reside, I can stop by more often to partake in a few other options for sushi. Heck, I may even be back today! LOL! Shout Out to the homies (AB, JH & SH) for opening my eyes to SUSHI!!! No matter what anyone else says, you guys are worth something in my book! PS, let's go back really soon! LOL! SUSHI 4 LIFE!

First, I was a huge fan and regular when Grace had a location in Bowie (now closed). I was very hopeful when I was told that some of the Bowie menu would be transferring to the Vista Garden's location. I went in this weekend and found that the items that transferred seem to have been transferred to fit the Asian Fusion menu and not the Chinese menu I was used to. There are no pork items (not egg foo young, fried rice, lo mein, etc,). They have calamari but but not pork. Seems odd to me and eliminated several things I had usually ordered. I wanted an egg roll, one of my favorite items in Bowie and they did not offer them. They did offer vegetable spring rolls at 3 for 10 dollars and chicken at 3 for 12 dollars. Way too pricey. I would think that if you can drop a spring roll in the fryer you can drop an egg roll. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was awful. Not the plump white chicken meat covered with a light batter I remember from Bowie, but over cooked strips, many of which had little or no chicken with a hard crunchy batter. Not a thing I would reorder. Overall I felt pretty crushed and that Grace had no kept the promise to transfer ht Bowie style dishes to Vista Gardens. The dishes i remember were different and many were not present. I will give it one more try with a beef-vegetable dish, but if it turns out like hte sweet and sour, I will not be back. What a shame. After all those years eating in Bowie, not finding another Chinese place as good, recommending Bowie to many other people - this was a such a bitter disappointment.

I decent place but way over priced. Met a friend for sushi and sake. It's one of the few places in bowie. The place looks great. Nice and modern plus everything is very clean. No wait to be seated which was a plus. Ordered gyzo dumplings as a app, a philly roll, crunch roll, tempura roll, and heart of bowie roll. All pretty good except the heart of Bowie roll. It taste just like a salmon roll but they make it into the shape of a cute little heart and charge you twice as much for it. It's very awkward to eat because each of the heart half is a separate piece and they fall apart easily. The service was absolutely awful they last a star in that area from me . I had to pretty much track down my waitress anytime I needed to place an order or have my drink refilled. The price is on the high end so you would expect better service. Dinner and drinks for 2 came up to about $120.00 so keep that in mind before you stop by.

This review update is LONG overdue. I frequent two restaurants, Olde Towne Inne and my Asian Cuisine equivalent which I refer to as "My Cheers", Grace's. Strip malls or whatever you want to call them do come in handy. Many times you stumble onto some pretty cool spots, Grace's is one of those spots. It's nestled between Panara Bread and Shoppers Food Warehouse but don't let that deter you because this is some GOOD EATIN! The sushi here is top notch and is the main reason why I come but they offer SOOOOO much more. Their "small plates" includes such items like calamari, Asian wings, fried jumbo shrimp cocktail, Asian spareribs, lamb chops, cat fish nuggets just to name a few. The absolute beauty about Grace's is that their small plates are half price during happy hour and their happy hour is 7 days a week! They also offer traditional Asian dishes along with Hibachi which is always a fun time watching your food being prepared in front of your very own eyes. Their lunch specials as exceptional as well! Grace's is deceivingly big. They have a party room that can easily host most large events such as bridal showers, birthdays or a company holiday party. They also offer outdoor seating where you can smoke a stogie or two. If you forgot yours at home guess what, they have a pretty nice selection of cigars you can purchase! I usually hang out in the bar/lounge area where they serve the full menu. My favorite bartenders are Drew and Laura who embarrassingly know what I'm eating and drinking before I even order it..smh! So come to Grace's if you truly love Asian Cuisine and you like a bargain. Not too mention, you'll never have parking issues like big bad DC... I did say it was in a strip mall.. Lol

I've finally made it to Grace's thanks to my Yelp buddy Spencer. I've been here for lunch here twice now and I'm in love with their "Lunch Box A" special. The lunch box deal has so many tasty items on it, that I needed a box to take home my leftovers with me. There was honey fried chicken, California sushi roll, rice, teriyaki salmon, and chicken on top of an Asian slaw. Everything was delicious, and I'm not sure why I've never stopped in here before. I'll definitely be back during dinner to see what other delicious items I can try off of the menu.

Grace's (which is the sister restaurant to Grace's Fortune, RIP) is slightly more expensive but features more small plates and a tepphanki grill. Pretty good small plates. Atmosphere is great and very intimate if you sit towards the back of the restaurant and the decor is great. During Happy Hour it's very loud at the bar (and it seems like EVERYONE is there). They do have a take-out menu so take advantage of that. But go for the tepphanki!

Ok here's the deal. I don't go to graces for the tepanyaki or thai or some other Asian fusion. Crazy right. All of those things are good, but I go right for the bar for what else...bar food! . During happy hour, the small plates are 1/2 off and the drinks specials vary depending on the day. The fried calamari is always delish mixed with fried jalepeno and sweet bell peppers. The wings are always good too. Honestly all the bar food is tasty, but the most overlooked item on the small plate menu is the crabcake. Yep. I said crabcake. No it's not a Jerry's seafood crab cake but you will not be disappointed....it's always a go to dish for me. The downside...crowd is a bit older and the smell of the cigars outside have made it's way inside.

My brother had his 17th birthday at Grace's and the whole family enjoyed the teppanyaki grill! Great customer service and the manager really cares that all her guests are satisfied with the service.

This was the third time that I'd visited this Grace's. This is the last time. Each time I've been disappointed but went back anyway thinking it would get better . This last time I ordered honey chicken...overbreaded and Extremely dry chicken. I also ordered the schezuan shrimp...bland sauce and Very few shrimp. Additionally, waaaay over priced. I miss the location in Bowie. Two stars because the restaurant is attractive.

9/21/13 Asian Fusion.....let's GO! So a friend of mine was having a surprise birthday party for her husband her. My sister and I went down to be a part of the festivities. It's located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking available. When we arrived the hostess took us to the designated reserved room in the back for the dinner party. The space is a huge room with the huge round table. Gorgeously decorated. We were able to get drink as we waited for the guest of honor. Once he arrived we all piled into the room and when he entered we gave him a great surprise. He was very shocked. My sister and I decided to seat in the other area since there were so many of us outside of the room. It was nice booth for 4. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was so yum. It hard to get this dish right for me and they did it right. Will definitely check this place out again when I am in the area again.

I'm not sure what all the rave is about. I've eaten here a couple of times and the food is good but not great. I usually get sushi and honestly, I find Grace's to be one of the priciest and not one of the best in the area. I've gone a couple of times because I figured I must have been missing something because of all the rave reviews I hear-so I've tried it again-and again-but still-just OK. I've had more beautifully crafted and tastier sushi in Bowie, DC, and Gambrills. Maybe it's me. Not amazing-but average.

I would like to say first before I go in. "The hot towel was great" I came here for my birthday and we ordered Soup, calamari, Sushi, General Tso's and pad tai. The Sushi was the worst I've ever eaten. The fish was not fresh and the cooked ones were burned. We even had a California roll and it was bad!! How you mess up a California roll??

Grace's is the only sushi that I eat and the quality of its fish rivals some of the higher end places downtown. I have been a customer for over seven years and it has consistently been amazing. I have an allergy and they are one of the few sushi places I trust to take the appropriate precautions when prepping my meal. My go to rolls are the smoked salmon and cream cheese, tuna and salmon and avocado. I tried the salmon sashimi the other day and it was fantastic as well. Their tempura is really good too. I usually call ahead and get my food to go but dining there is definitely worth the experience. Grace's is a winner!

  • Kimberly L.

Pricey, but good! We had small plates - vegetable rolls (very good!) calamari (others said it was great!); Grace's ribs (pretty ok); chicken wings (others said very good). Chicken fried rice was a shared large plate, and it tasted fresh and had large pieces of white meat chicken - probably the best I've had! It was well-decorated and relaxing. I gave four stars because, even with happy hour pricing, items were expensive compared to other similar places. I would recommend Grace's, and hope to be back in the area to try the hibachi menu.

Heavy handed execution lacking both fresh ingredients and the complex & bright flavor combinations usually found in Asian food. The service was fine, as was the ambience too, but the food was mostly a slap in the face to the Japanese, Thai, and other cultures this place is pretending to fuse cuisines from. It's important to remember that not everyone has the same opinions as I do. In fact, there was a table full of basic bitches next to us, and they seemed to be having a great time eating their lunches. So, check yourself: do you spend the majority of your days at work, the gym, and in bed? Do you have a pink cell phone case? Were you ever in a sorority or fraternity? If you answered yes to 2 or more of these questions, it's likely you will enjoy the food at Grace's, so please ignore everything I've said above. Also, never call me.

Panang veggies. Short Ribs. Spare Ribs with a special asian sauce. Yes. Yes. and more YES! Whenever we go to Grace's, we just get a spread of the small plates and go to town. Sure, it can add up, but each bite makes it worth every penny. I hadn't been to Grace's in sometime, but when the feeling hits you, it hits hard. We went there Friday night for date night and had a blast. Great food and convo and a great setting. It can get a bit loud on a Friday night, but it's a fun, festive atmosphere and everyone is always in a good mood. The food comes out pretty quickly and the staff works to make sure you are taken care of, even offering hot towels for you to wash your hands immediately upon sitting down. I wish they would put a little less Brut or whatever manly man cologne they scent their towels with, but it's a small complaint, so no big deal. All in all, Grace's is a solid place for a group of friends for Happy Hour (half price appetizers until 8 I believe) or dinner or date night with your significant other. If you haven't been there, try it! :)

I always enjoy my visits to Grace's (Steak & Seafood). My office is nearby so we stop in for happy hour on a regular basis. I really like the posh ethnic decor and dim lighting which helps me relax after a stressful day. The staff is really cool too. The restaurant is well kept and clean (including the ladies room). Grace's has an extensive menu & drink list. This location has 4 dining areas and there's a different vibe in each. For example, if you wanted a quiet dinner sitting in a booth with your partner, in the mood for food cooked on the hibachi grill with the family, don't really want to be bothered but have a taste for sashimi, simply sit at the sushi bar where the noise level is minimal, or in the mood to engage, go to the lounge/bar area. During my last Happy Hour visit, we stayed in the lounge/bar area. By 6pm, that area was full of lots of professionals unwinding through intelligent and nonsensical conversation. I had a glass of Riesling and sushi. The Green Dragon Roll contains shrimp tempura, eel, and avocado (no fish roe please) -cost $18. I also had some of the soft shell crab roll which has crab (of course), enoki mushroom, cucumber, & spicy mayo (again no fish roe please) with a side of eel sauce and wasabi-cost $14. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and the presentation is nice as well.

I came to this restaurant after years. I've had the hibachi as well as the main dining room. The ambiance is nice and the food is served well. But the food is just average at best. It lacks freshness. And for the high prices, I would expect much better quality. And also this place has a tendency to get very loud. In the Greenbelt area there aren't a lot of non chain food options, so I go here. But this just isn't worth the price.

I had never been to this location before, but it is still just as nice as the one at the Harbor. it is much smaller and in the corner of a large shopping center, but that doesn't change the quality in service and atmosphere. The night we went was for a Phi Beta Sigma Happy Hour, and though they needed a bigger area, we still had fun. there is a private room, but they needed that plus the space out front as there was so many of us. We didn't get to sit with the group which cut on the socializing and meeting folks. This location is much closer and has free parking which is a plus. it also looks like a local hangout for my kind of folsk. that is the one thing that is different is the type of customers.

I've been to Grace's twice now. Seems to be a favorite of my Auntie Jane's for lunch. The two times I'm come to visit her at her new home in Bowie she's wanted this to be our dining spot. I can't complain too much, but there is one major problem. The service I've had there is just cold. After speaking to my Auntie Jane, she explained to me that it's just one server, and that others are much better. Too bad I've only ever experienced that one woman! She puts a new meaning to the phrase "ice queen". Jeez! It's very sad for a business to have an employee such as her. She's enough to make anyone not ever want to go back. Had I not had someone in the know to inform me that she is a centralized problem in an otherwise outstanding group, I would have generalized her attitude across the whole staff and never returned. Because of the information given to me by my Auntie Jane, and the level of food offered at Grace's, I'll only take one star. If I'd had better service, I'd easily give 5 stars. Both visits have been great from a culinary standpoint. The Pad Thai I had on my last trip was amazing; the best I've ever had. Well balanced between sweet and sour, shrimp cooked perfectly, and a portion size which allowed for another entire meal the next day. The mimosa I paired with my meal offered a pleasant surprise of sake along with the champagne and orange juice. I'd never have though of it myself, but I sure did enjoy it! My mother and Auntie Jane's bento boxes received great reviews from both of them during our meal. My mother, who normally can never finish a full plate, all but licked her's clean. She still raves about how good the scallops were. Coming from her, I know they had to be good to warrant such acclaim. If Grace's could get a handle on that one server at lunch, they'd do much better. She could sour even the best experience.

Graces fortune recently closed and we went there several times a month for over 20 years. On my way home from work last night I stopped by Graces in Glenn Dale to pick up shrimp chicken Kung pao carry out. I was a bit taken back by the $31.80 bill. The sauce was bland. My daughter had the rest for lunch and also found the dish to be disappointing. As a long time fan of Graces Fortune I am sad to say goodbye.

Is okay the girl is pretty nice but the person who takes order is a complete dingdong she knows nothing and my orders have been messed up more than once it is very pricey and for it to be so pricey it should not be messed up ever they do not attempt to rectify any of it either I definitely do not eat here there are better and cheaper places

Overpriced- $20 for dry orange chicken, horrible service- changed an 18% tip and didn't get refills on water, fortune cookies or sugar for tea.ambience is nice. The $40 seafood stir fry was good. But for $143- I'd go somewhere else and eat chinese carry out . We had 3 adults and 3 minors, and we went to the Annapolis location first not realizing it was closed .

Where do I start?? My friends and I met here for her birthday dinner. I thought this Graces would be similar to the Graces that's located on the Harbor. Not at all, from the "Louis Vuitton" carpet to the black chandeliers to the young hibachi grill cooks that did not perform a single "awe" or "wow" trick. We all ordered water with lemon initially and when they brought mine out it had what looked like slimy snot floating in the glass? We asked the waiter to get the manager and all she did was looked at it and said it must be the vein from a shrimp. Excuse me?? Then she said I'll bring you another one. No ma'am...I dranked my wine. I'm giving this place 2 stars because my wine was good and my veggie spring rolls with sauce were good. I will NEVER go back!!

Menu is pricey and the bar crowd gets loud during dinner - the noise carries to the dining room. :-/ Their Chicken Pad Thai is ONE OF THE BEST I have ever had. Their crab cake is pretty good. Hibachi grill is usually good but the chicken on there seems to come out too dry. The steak tastes gamey and has good spice. I get the hibachi with the shrimp though and it's great! Their sushi is pretty average. The service is hit or miss.

Onion Soup?? Off the chain good. Authentic Japanese Gyoza? Off the chain! Service? Off the chain excellent. Decor? Very nice. I think they were going for an Asian thing. They nailed it. This place is off the chain! So, I know what you are thinking -- "B, what's with the four stars? I thought this place was off the chain?" It IS off the chain. #offthechain. I even won 2 super bowl squares at this place when the Giants beat the Pats the 2nd time. What a great day that was. $500! Speaking of cash. Can we talk? I'm going to switch over to Czech so we can talk about the check.... Zde je seznam lidí, které jsem si vědom, že si může dovolit jíst grácií, protože cena je OFF CHAIN. 1.. Oprah. 2. Worst dining experience ever. Ordered the sushi sashimi deluxe for two. (Picture provided). Worst size and quality in Bowie. Soup was barely luke warm. Told the server then the manger (who is clueless about customer service), that the sushi did not taste good. She argued with us, got very defensive. Basically we paid $50 for a salad and 1/2 a beer as we left the "food". . She insisted on charging us. Fervently, almost mocking us. Unprofessional. Rude. Perhaps, on the verge of racist. First and last visit. Check the picture of the sloppy plate. I live in Bowie and I highly suggest that our hard earned money should not be spent at this place. You do not treat people the way we were treated. AVOID this place at all costs.

Went to Grace's on a Saturday for a co-worker's birthday. I generally don't care for hibachi/teppanyaki grills so I was very pleased to see they had a menu (from the kitchen). My meal started with a soup and a salad (neither was included in my order but because everyone else's meal came with it I wasn't excluded). Both the soup and salad were good. Salad came with a peanut dressing and although I don't like peanut in my food, it was very good. I ordered 2 small plates (mussels with garlic in wine sauce and asain style BBQ short ribs) with side of fried rice with chicken. What I received was mussels in a wine sauce soup with nothing less than a whole bulb of garlic in it and while it wasn't terrible I was chewing on bits of garlic all night. Needles to say no kisses goodnight after that. Short ribs were overdone and tough but didn't lack flavor and came with an awful tasting BBQ sauce, kimchi that didn't quite taste like kimchi and what I can only assume was bean paste (I didn't try it). Additional I received a full serving of chicken fried rice with wasn't bad (just needed soy sauce and sriracha) I've always heard good things about Grace's but unless I went to the wrong one I was not impressed however Service was prompt and staff was attentive.

I LOVE Grace's! I been to Happy Hour, I've been to events, I've been for lunch, dinner, and just because. Oh and I've ordered to go. All great! The food and service is always on point and the prices are reasonable, but I prefer the Happy Hour pricing of course. They given you hot towels before your food arrives to clean your hands (and they smell AMAZING!) I've been going to Grace's since her first location in Old Bowie.

    (5)
  • Andrea H.

The service was good. The hot towel service was nice. The decor was fancy and well designed, and the hibachi was entertaining. The food was good but slightly over-priced IMO. If you are going somewhere to impress someone this COULD be the place but the patronage at your surrounding tables could possibly put a damper on the ambiance. Would I come back? Probably not on my own dinning suggestion. I mean to spend about $100-$120 for a fully satisfying meal for two with drinks, appetizer, and hibachi in a shopping center near the Home Depot in Bowie, I'd say no. Location does make a difference sometimes.

Grace's is close to my office, so whenever I get a craving for pad-Thai, I give them a call. I've eaten there as well as ordered take-out, and for some reason, it always seems to taste better when I eat there....must be the excellent attention from the staff. I'm not a big sushi fan, but my friends who have had it there swear it's some of the best they've had. They have a great wine list, and their small plate selections are just right if you don't have a huge appetite. They ARE a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is well worth the cost. My only complaint is the lack of parking....they are located in a very busy shopping center, sandwiched between a Panera and a Shoppers grocery store, so there is rarely any close-up parking available. They do have a couple of spots reserved for people getting take-out, which is nice, but if you're planning to eat there, prepare for a bit of a hike. Of course, on nice pretty days that's no big deal, but when it's pouring rain or snowing, it's not such a nice walk. But once you're inside, the warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and even the hot towel service will melt all your troubles away.

Located at the end of a shopping mall. Don't let the outside fool you. Inside it's an Elegant restaurant with good Asian flare food. A little pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Nice little bar area. Wasn't too crowded when I was there but I was there kind of early. Staff could have been a little friendlier. Will definetly be back. Not sure if they offer happy hour specials. Related to the graces at the national harbor.

I live down the street from this place, and go to the panera next door multiple times a week. My parents have come here a bit and always complimented the food. So after some years, I finally stopped in last night for a late and light dinner. The restaurant is gorgeous! They have a sushi bar, hibachi section, and regular dining. The waitresses in their lovely cheongsams greeting you with hot towels is a nice, elegant start. I ordered the lamb chop small plate which was AMAZING - first bite was an explosion of flavor. My BF got the sesame chicken and brown rice which he was thoroughly pleased with. They had to make it with grilled chicken instead of fried because of his seafood allergy (they fry all of their food in the same grease so allergy sufferers, be ware!). This place is a bit pricey tho for the area, I will say. For 3 little lamb chops and an order of sesame chicken (and 2 waters) - $40!!! Looking at the hibachi prices, it is the MOST expensive in the area, compared to Sakura and my beloved Fuji. Felt like I was in DC or something..so that's a star off. But I enjoyed so much that I came back today (the next day) for happy hour - yes, they have weekend happy hour specials - 1/2 price small plates, $2 off sushi, and $2 off drinks till 7pm! Looks like the bar stays packed!! Anywho, I ordered: Mussels: Darn good! 4.5/5 Has a lovely broth. And I'm picky about my mussels. Shanghai Spare Ribs - yummy!! 5/5. Tender, fall off the bone ribs with a delicious sweet/spicy sauce Gyoza: Ordered steamed. Pretty good 3.5/5. I would order again, but maybe try the fried option just to compare. To drink, they were out of lychee for the original drink I wanted, so I got a peach mojito which was yummy as well. Got just the right buzz from it, so it wasn't your average watered-down happy hour drink. I will def be back...maybe just for happy Hour tho. I think I'll stick to Fuji for my hibachi fix.
