Busiest Starbucks in this area - I think it mostly suffers from not having enough physical space to work with and only one register is usually working. The line is almost always out the door. Tip: do not come between 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM... it will be overrun by middle school students from the area. Nonetheless, this location has the most friendly staff I've ever encountered. They're always smiling and polite, and they've never messed up my order. Also, they serve their breakfast sandwiches as long as they still have them in stock - so most times, you'll be able to grab your "breakfast" even at lunch - which I usually do.

20 minute wait today and no service. Short staffed. Upon returning to my office I called the store to speak with the manager, no one answered. What's happening to Starbucks!!! I never was able to order or get my coffee.

It's prime time at 9am and they have one person at the register and one person making drinks. Whoever the manager of this starbucks is, is a complete moron. It's located in the middle a multiple office buildings with a huge amount of traffic, yet you can't have more than one person making drinks? I've seen smaller starbucks with twice the amount of employees working, re-evaluate your scheduling because as far as I can tell whomever did your scheduling couldn't be more stupid.

I am super happy and thankful that this Starbucks is so close to my office building. I do not know what I would do without it. I forgot to grab my lunch this morning and since everyone is closed today due to being the day AFTER Thanksgiving, Starbucks saved me. Such a great group of helpful employees too!

Service is a little slow, but I'm used to NYC where they bang out drinks rapidly. Drinks always come out good though.

Really good drinks there! Service was good and quick. Me and my sister sometimes go by here to get a drink or something else in mind and it was a nice coffee shop. I'd go again.

It is so good that Starbuck is very near my work. I always come here every weekend. I love mocha flavor. Staffs are polite and nice.

Very friendly staff. Very knowledge about the coffee's. Extremely courteous energetic staff. For myself on Veterans day I had a great experience and would recommend it to others.

A-OK indeed. The line here is sometimes long but the Starbucks machine is usually well greased and will spit you out the other side caffeinated and ready to start the day.

This Starbucks is tucked away on the corner of a building - took me a while to find them. Store is quite small and does not have much space to move around. I was there on an off-hour with not more than 4 customers in the store and only 2 were waiting for their drinks. but it took me more than 7 minutes to order and get my coffee drink. C'mon seriously, can you get any slower??? Also the restroom was clean and had napkins all over the floor :(

This is an extremely busy Starbuck's, I guess technically all are, but this one seems to be busier than most. Of recent, the line is so long it spreads out the door; and that has been quite annoying of late. I don't think I'd mind so much if the line went faster, but it doesn't. The plus is, they've NEVER gotten any order wrong and the condiments station is always fully stocked (at least when I go).

I've been here three times now and feel that I can rate them since my experience has been similar each time. First, the store itself is very nice and unique. Its looks as though it might be an older historic building which is cool. That same sentiment doesn't really translate to the inside however. It looks and feels pretty much like any other sbux I've been to. There is a reasonable amount of seating here with tables which is also nice. As I mentioned, I've been here three times before and this is what I've noticed: The employees are foreign and therefore it has been difficult to communicate effectively. This seems to be the case at the other bethesda location as well but its more hit or miss there. I can't say that the service is friendly either. Each time I've gone, the cashier has not once thanked me for my buisness. There really is no excuse not to thank someone and it leaves more of a negative impression in my book. I can't really comment on how speedy the service is. I've not ordered a latte but only ice coffee which is generally quick. Another note on my visit today: the whole store smelled of urine. I probably should have left when the smell didn't go away bit I really wanted that iced coffee. I'm not sure at this point if I will go here again. Unfortunately there aren't many starbucks around this area. The other one is generally too crowded and loud for my liking. Perhaps trying a new coffee shop would be better.

In my experience, in coffee shops the employees are highly caffeinated, cheerful, and efficient. This particular location is terrible in this regard. In various cases, I have had my order missed by the barista (had to remind that I'd ordered after several people after me got their drinks), found coffee grounds in the bottom of my brew, and generally experienced slow, indifferent service. The one bright spot is Mary, who is usually there in the mornings and I really cherish getting to see her.

I would tend to agree with the comments on the extreme slow pace of the workers. Sometimes it appears they are in slow motion, like a movie. Always I am getting drip coffee so no clue why thign staek so long. One young woman seems like she is half asleep and barely able to count. I have stopped going here. Its just not worth my time or money. There are other choices in Bethesda.

No Internet but no sign to warn you. Surly staff could care less.

I am a regular Starbucks visitor who lives in LA. I was here in Bethesda in early 2011 for a few months for work, and since this is the only coffee place en route to my job, it became the place to get my daily fix. I was stunned then by how slow and - as someone else said - listless the employees are here. Well, I'm back for another few months and was sad to see a few of the same guys here who clearly despise their jobs and make us all pay for it. I've never experienced slower service at a Starbucks on a consistent basis. Every single day it sucks (I should specify that the morning is worse than the afternoon). Today was my tipping point though because after waiting forever for my drink, it was clear they missed a shot so my Americano tasted like tea. My ex worked at Starbucks and hated it - I get it. But someone at Starbucks should really pay attention to all these bad reviews for this location - there's clearly a problem here and it is hurting the brand.

CONCERNED CUSTOMER I love this Starbucks, have been a reg customer since it opened. Employees are friendly and always smiling. I have been there the last few months maybe 3- 4 times and I have been TROUBLED by an employee there. Now I show up at random times and days, I can't imagine what it must be like when I'm not there. I heard an employee named Louis be disrespectful to two female customers and overheard him treat another female employee VERY disrespectfully. I also overheard him being told that he had to pay for the food he was eating and his response was "what?? are you going to make me?" with a smirk on his face(also female employee). I think this guy has issues with women. I don't know what is going on at this location and seeing this employee stealing and being mean to women BOTHERS me. Now when I walk by there and see him there I get my coffee elsewhere.

I've visited Starbucks stores all over the USA and I find that the employees are a good indication of the (mostly) young adults in that community. I also think that if you have the ability to empty a packet of Sweet 'n Low into a cup of coffee, you are declared a "barista". Despite the uneven ability of the employees I will continue to visit Stabucks because I simply love their coffee!!

I am just thankful that this Starbucks exists on East West Highway. I am thankful for every eating establishment that exists on East West Highway... the barren wasteland of offices and homes and annoying high school students. This Starbucks is decent in the way that Starbuckses go. But I do miss the old blond lady with an accent who would stare past my right shoulder and say "Hallo, welcome to Stahbucks, how may I halp you?"

Good to have this Starbucks here, especially since Vamoose leaves from right around the corner. But this Starbucks doesn't feel like it's right by a bus station like other Starbucks do. It remains clean, fast, and efficient. I was in and out in a jiffy with lots of time to spare before my bus! Good bathroom, too, if I don't say so myself!

Wifi worked the other day. Pretty standard, smaller urban/office park area Sbux.
