Food is really good for a chinese take out. I got the General TSO's chicken. However, don't plan to eat there... there is no AC and the fan doesn't work so it gets pretty stuffy.

Really gross! Not worth the money. Food was greasy and tasted horrible. Ordered the vegetable fried rice, vegetable lo mein, some egg rolls and vegetable rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. Lo mein was the worst just overall gross flavor and corn was rotten in all dishes.

I am not usually one to write negative reviews, i prefer to focus on the good or the funny....however today I would like to complain about the gross lunch I just threw away from Hunan Express. I ordered the "Shrimp and Lobster Sauce" for 10$. The description on the menu was "Shrimp sauteed w/ water chestnuts, carrot's, green peas, onions, snow peas and mushrooms in a scrambled egg sauce". That sounds pretty good right?? NOOOOPPPE. What I got was a bucket of sperm, 10 shrimp boiled in sperm, and some frozen little peas ans carrots tossed in. So, I called Hunan Express and was nice about it, but I wanted to know why what I wasted $10 on was not really at all what I had ordered.... Their answer? "THE MENU IS WRONG. DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE MENU." What the hell.

I am in town and was craving some Chinese so I chose this spot after looking at the reviews. I ordered Moo Shu Pork, Spring rolls, and chicken wings with mumbo sauce. Everything was great and I'm very particular about Chinese carry out. I was pleasantly surprised the food came in about 35min it was still hot and very tasty! Great job and great food!!!

Food sucks. Delivery guy is extremely rude. And they fill the bowl with 80% vegetables and 20% meat. General Tao Chicken sucks....choose Shen Yang Mongolian beef is not too bad...but still sucks Hunan Chicken sucks as well. Even if you ask for no vegetables that are listed on the ingredients, they try to find other piece of crap to put it in your order.

The food at hunan express is good. It isn't legendary, but it's tasty and inexpensive. It hits right smack dab in the center of "slightly above average". What really sets this place apart in my mind is how pleasant the staff is, and how they'll go out of their way to make sure that you leave happy. The polite staff paired with good food keeps me coming back.

Seriously inexpensive lunch combinations! I got lunch take out for the first time today. And I will admit I will probably be getting lunch from here about once a month or so. It was good and for the price ($4.75) you can't go wrong!

I work off of Route 1 and this place is where my coworkers and I always order for chinese food. No it's not 5 star restaurant quality, but for the price, you couldn't ask for more. The lunch specials are great. I love the egg drop soup. The lady on the phone does speak very quickly, but she's also very fast in getting your food ready. I call before I go there to pick up my food and it's ready by the time I get there, hot and fresh. This is the restaurant by the 711. Like right next to it. Apparently some people keep getting confused and going to the restaurant down the street. We've only ever had one mishap where they wrote our phone number down wrong for delivery and that got mixed up, but it's been smooth sailing otherwise.

I work next door to them, they are my go to place when I am tired of 7-11 fare for lunch. the lunch specials are good. $4.75 for the main food, fried rice and an egg roll. I have had several items off their menu and think that while I have had better chinese food, this place isn't bad for the prices. I wish they would have better egg rolls though, theirs are VERY greasy. overall good food...

Ordered crab rangoon + mongolian beef delivery, with only about 10 minutes before they closed, so they get service points for not turning me down. The crab rangoon wasn't incredible, but the beef in the mongolian beef was probably the best beef i've ever had in chinese takeout - definitely a decent cut of meat, and it makes this place my go-to pick for quick chinese delivery.

I go here once in a while in the evening, when I'm working late, everything else is closed (except 7-11). Actually, the food has always been very good. They are reasonably priced, with nice sized portions. This is my go to carry out.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
