Authentic Peruvian Style: Hands down the best Charbroiled Chicken my taste buds have been blessed to meet. Other great dishes I've tried include Carnero/ Lamb chops, Camerones Al Grill/ Gulf Shrimp charbroiled ,Ultimate Mixed Grill, and Pollo Saltado . As far as sides go the Fried Yuca, Fried Plantain, and Beans and Rice are a plus.
Best chicken in Maryland, period. I have never had a bad meal here! Whenever my husband and I have company in town, Sardi's is a must so we can introduce as many of our friends and family to their delicious food.
Amaaaaaaazing chicken and all the sides were delicious! Yelp! You did not fail us this time :)

By far one of the best filipino places i have been to around the DC/Metro Area. My friend introduced me to this place...weird because he's NOT even Filipino and he knows more Filipino "stuff" than i do...haha The food is almost as authentic as being at my parent's home (i can't believe i just said that) They have a great selection to choose from! Will definitely come back for groceries and food :)
I love this place! The owner, Mang Tony & the rest of the staff are very friendly. The food never disappoint. For people who complain about the portions are crazy. They always give me alot of food. The kitchen closes at 7 so that is why the food isn't served then. The store itself closes at 8. A little pricey but what do you expect for imported food. No complaints from me.
Definitely giving them a 5 star! Woke up today and had a craving for homemade filipino food so I decided to Yelp it. Lol. This location came up and said to myself, "its 30 minutes away but who cares.. The food pics looks bomb!" I decided to call in first to ask about the kitchen menu and a nice friendly woman told me all the stuff they had on deck. After she mentioned sisig, that gave me the green light to go ahead and check it out. Drove down from Baltimore to Beltsville and walke in the store straight to the little canteen area. The woman behind the counter greeted us so nicely and even took the time to offer taste samples to me and my friend, who wasnt Filipino. She even described each dish to my friend. Such great customer service! Overall, this place was amazziiiiing! The food is definitely authentic, no shortcuts, straight homemade.... Made with love! I will definitely go back to this place! Love the people and food

This review is just for the liquor store, as we haven't made it to the bistro (we looked at the menu and it's a bit pricey for an everyday meal, so we are going to try it out on a special occasion). I want to begin with a disclaimer, my hubby and I are beer snobs. We brew our own beer and expect a lot out of commercial beers. We also like staple liquors (gin, vodka, tequila) for classic cocktails. We are new to the area and have only had Total Wine as a bottle shop before. That being said, we love this store! The selection is excellent, the shelves are organized very well and intuitively. The prices are comparable to other bottle shops. There is a cashier there also who is super helpful! I didn't catch his name the last time we came in, but he gave great recommendations and even gave us some local traffic tips (we are new to the area after all!) I really appreciate the atmosphere and that the cashiers let you wander around and browse...But are ready and willing to help you find something if you ask. I also really love the loyalty program they have, just check in with your mobile number and nothing else. No junk emails! This is our new bottle shop. It's a bit easy to miss the parking lot if you aren't familiar with the turn though, so keep your eyes open. You don't want to miss it!
Cool shop, but where's all the IBV 100+? Selection endless. Beer for me, I thought the whiskey was a bit pricey. Tons of beer, and I really appreciated the regional sectioning, but finding my favorite types proved a challenge. For me to worship here on Sundays, they'll need to beef up the selection of West Coast, super hoppy, super crisp, only moderately malty IPA's. Yes, I know that's pretty specific, but all I really found was Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. They had Stone, but I can get that anywhere.
Wowza! My mind has officially been blown. This is a hidden gem. Went here for happy hour while waiting for an oil change. They have plenty of options on tap. I had a Stella Artois Cidre and the most moist and flavorful burger I've had since being in Maryland. And the 6 oz. burger was $3...thats right, 3 bucks!!! I will definitely be back for more happy hours.

Da Rae Won Restaurant

Reviews:
The food is always spot on! The place is great for groups and sharing their deliciously large portions of gampoongi (lollipop chicken in a sweet/spicy sauce) and tangsuyuk (Korean version of sweet and sour pork). Da Rae Won is known for their jajjangmyun - you can hear the pounding as the chef makes fresh noodles in the kitchen. I would make a suggestion to go with a Korean friend, as sometimes there is a language barrier. Even with this suggestion, don't be deterred from trying their food! The restaurant has improved a lot with the language barrier in the last few years and are very accommodating
Their Kanpungi is a die-for. It definitely tasted the chicken meat was freshly breaded and fried when ordered; it was crispy, yet not greasy at all. One of their side dishes is Kimchi which also tasted freshly made every day. Their restaurant is kind of hidden in the back area which is such unfortunate because this place needs to be more popular. However, it was packed today when I visited so I guess it is true that no matter where you are, good food will call in the peeps. Their service is extremely good too; even the owner of this restaurant has a soul for serving people well.
This is definitely one of the best Korean restaurants in Maryland. The food is delicious and I've never had any issues with them before. Only thing is that the customer service can be pretty bad. Some of the waitresses there are so rude.

I was meeting an out of town friend near her conference hotel and turned to yelp for help. Had never tried Kenyan cuisine before and was intrigued. Like most places in the area, this is located in a strip mall, but the entrance is a level above the parking lot which helps. The place is small; not fancy but we were welcomed warmly. Both of us were looking for a vegetarian meal which left us with exactly one entree choice, a lentil dish. Thankfully, it was AMAZINGLY delicious. Extremely flavorful! It came with a side of hot sauce which was extremely spicy but with a different heat than anything I've tried before. Service was attentive and the price was extremely reasonable. It started to pick up and get a little loud toward the end of our meal, when I think more people came there for drinks, around 9pm. It's a little off my usual beaten path but I would definitely go back if in the area again.
This is the third or fourth time I've eaten here. The food has always been very good. It isn't exactly an inexpensive place to eat, but I've never left hungry and, at least from all I've read, the food seems pretty authentic. They also serve a Kenya Tusker Lager beer to round out a nice authentic African gastronomical experience. The inside of the restaurant itself is nothing special and more like a local diner with a tiny bar, but it's clean and the service is pretty good. I will definitely be back again!
I am only giving them a star because of the beef stew...generally, I love the food. Its like a hit or miss...everything else is pathetic. First & foremost the location & parking spot is a disaster. Let's not even talk about the interior coz they would do a better job. The space is so small, some of the waiters are rude...one had the balls to tell us that we can leave! The worst of all is the fixed 18% tip that they add to your bill regardless of how many people are in your party. We were only four & the service didn't even deserve any tip!!!

Driving to get lunch, I was thinking Wendy's. Then I saw this on the side of the road and wanted to contribute to a local business. We are happy we did. 4.5 stars. My lunch companion can't stop raving about his Mexican pizza. My chimichanga is better than expected. Nice crispy shell with lots of veggies!! Good portion prices for $9 each. The salsa is really tasty as well. We will come back.
I ordered the chicken fajitas and honestly it looked like something I could make at home easily. None of the fajita ingredients were separated, everything was kind of just piled together one big plate. And it just didn't taste flavorful at all, it wasn't good. It was just "ok". Also the prices were expensive! I say drive a few exits down to Chevy's, they have really good food.
The service here is just deplorable. Like it really is the absolute worst. I've been here many times (my family likes to come here) and it is always bad. Yesterday, I was with one other person and they literally sat us and never came back. Two tables seated after us got their drinks before they even took our drink orders. I literally had to get up and ask the owner (he is always there) if he would please take our drink order. I could go on and on about the terrible service. The food is DECENT.

Had to plan a quick lunch at a customers. The person that took my order was very friendly, quick to assist, and patient throughout. They also delivered exaclty on time as I needed for the meeting. The only thing they forgot was plates and cups. I figured if you're ordering over $100 in pizza they would automatically include that stuff, but the delivery guy said you had to request it. All in all they did a great job.
OK, the pizza is Domino's. Not fantastic, but perfectly edible. That aside, their delivery service is really fast and really easy, and they got everything on my order correct. No complaints.
Fast delivery great service by driver great food!! Ordered dinner here and enjoyed every bite. The best dominos I have ordered from. Thank you guys for a great dinner!!

Myoung Dong

This was an old time favorite for me back in college. Just up the road on HWY 1 at the corner of Powder Mill. However, it's greatly changed since back in 2000.... and the changes look rather recent for the better. They interior is much nicer and the menu has changed. Their Myoung Dong Kalguksoo is still their main dish, but it looks like they added a bunch of other traditional Korean dishes like bibimbap and soondubu. I of course ordered the kalguksoo and it was actually rather plain. Nothing special anymore. I remember the noodles being a bit more wavy and unique than generically store bought and the chicken a bit more plenty. But it was still a good tasting soup and not that far of a drive from College Park. So +1 added to my final tally for that sake alone. I think next time I'd try something else... I hear theres another Korean place too nearby worth a try maybe.
I went to Korea for a week in 2005, so I am obviously an expert on Korean food...or not. Ok, how about this: I remember two Korean words from when I was in 5th grade, so that means I know everything about Korean food. Hmmm...ok, I know nothing about Korean food besides: Korean food = yummy I've been here twice because it was on the Washingtonian 2007 Cheap Eats list. I don't remember what I ordered last time, but this time I got tofu soup. Maybe it was called soon du bu? Something like that. It looked fantastic at the table next to me, and came bubbling hot in a very fetching manner, but I didn't love it. Plus, it had meat in it. I'm not a super strict vegetarian, but I don't eat meat, so that was a surprise, considering it was advertised as tofu soup with seafood. My friend got the rice cakes and noodles in a spicy sauce that was fantastic. There were only Koreans in the restaurant when we came in, which I take as a good sign. It's like Udupi or Woodlands in Langley Park; lots of Indians so you know it's gonna be good. My friend had enough food to take home, but I finished most of mine, plus I ate most of the kimchee dishes on the table by myself. No, I do not weigh 400 pounds; I just like kimchee and pickled things. Sheesh. Would I go back? Yes, for sure, though I wouldn't order the same thing next time. I should have gone with my instinct and ordered noodles or the rice cakes my friend got. We each paid $13 including tip, which is a decent price for a Friday night dinner.
I love their Kal Kook Soo. I live far away from this restaurant, but I stop by every time I am near. I don't know about their rest of the menu, but Kal Kook Soo sure does hit the spot.

Pueblo Viejo

We had a restaurant.com certificate to this place. We put the address in the GPS and it led us to this shabby shopping plaza with very few signs of life. Pueblo Viejo is tucked in this lifeless ghost town. It's a tiny place, with about six tables and, when we went there, there were six other people. My boyfriend got a chimichanga and I got a Salvadoran platter. His chimichanga was one of the best I've ever had (yes, I'm a mooch) and the tortilla was lightly fried, making it soft and crispy at the same time! The pupusa (I got queso y chicharron) that came with my Salvadoran platter was nothing special, although still pretty good. It tasted like all cheese, but upon careful dissection and sample analysis I determined there were indeed microscopic bits of pork. The Salvadoran enchilada, however, was quite an experience. I sniffed it and thought it smelled a bit like goat butt. Not wanting to be rude, I took a bite, and found the taste to be infused with a hint of goat posterior as well. Upon close examination of the menu, I realized that the salvadoran enchilada was made with something called "hard cheese" which I had assumed meant cheese that you could use as a mallet hammer, but actually was some specialty aged cheese that tasted like feet. Either way, neither my boyfriend nor I could stand stuffing our faces with goat droppings anymore, so we took off all the cheese. What resulted was definitely amazing. A hard, fried crispy thick shell layered with a generous amount of refried beans, beef, and awesome curtido. Generous portion sizes, casual but very good service. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that they give you. Even though this place is kind of out of the way, I will be back - this time knowing to avoid any form of hard cheese.
I love love loveee their pupusas! Every time I go, I say I will try something new. Do I? NOPE! I just get pupusas again. But really, I should try something else considering how delicious their pupusas are. This restaurant is hidden in a shopping center with nothing much else in it. It is nice, clean, quiet (I haven't gone during the regular rush hours tho), fair price, and most importantly, delicious. You will see the same faces if you repeatedly go (which I enjoy as long as its not a bartender remembering me by name!) I recommend 100%.
Restaurant has been dark for over a week. No sign in door, so no telling what's going on. Drink coolers still stocked and salt&pepper still out on tables, so something happened in a hurry.
