Walked over from the Governor Calvert house for breakfast since there is no restaurant in the hotel. Quaint little place, kind of dark though. we both ordered the eggs chesapeake, english muffin halves, topped with crabcake, poached eggs and hollandaise with a side of breakfast potatoes. It took around 45 minutes for our food to come out, it was luke warm, the hollandaise had formed a skin from sitting so long. the crabcakes were tiny with a lot of filler, definitely not jumbo lump as stated, the english muffin was chewy and barely toasted, my eggs were all bunched up rather than lain nicely overtop the crabcake and WAY overdone to be considered poached, that nice egg yolk that supposed to envelope the food, was thick and cold and goopy and on the other egg, there was no runny yolk, it was too overcooked for that. The "sourdough" toast was more like texas toast that was burnt in some places and did not taste like sourdough at all. Potatoes were cooked well, just cold. For $16 for the eggs, $2 for toast and $2 for each side of bacon ( this is the ONLY meal on the menu that does not include a breakfast meat ) I was less than impressed. The waiter seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else than where he was, not very engaging nor helpful. Had to ask for coffee twice, waited about 10 minutes just for ketchup. I really wanted this place to be better than what it was, as I LOVE breakfast food, but I can't give a good review on this one.

Don't eat here. Food terrible, lobster over cooked, tuna tartar freezing cold and tasteless. Service good, felt sorry for him.

My husband and I made reservations here for our anniversary dinner. The service here was amazing; we never had an empty glass of water and the waiter respected the perfect amount of privacy. The food was perfect. The atmosphere was dimly lit, which suited our special occasion. My husband and I will definitely be back!

A charming romantic room located in the basement of the historic Maryland Inn Hotel. This place with it's aged red brick walls and giant wooden beams, definitely makes you feel like you're in 18th century Paris. Two real and workng fire place keep you warm during those frigid winter months. Incredible wine list with wines from around the world. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is good but not great. The menu is simple but with a good variety. Crab bisque was full of lump crab meat and flavorful. Onion soup was flavorful but just a bit salty for my taste. We were very happy with the Crab Cakes and Rockfish entrees. Great service. We would definitely come back the next time we visit beautiful Annapolis.

I have seen this restaurant, but never went in. So I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, the food was excellent. Had the crab cakes and to much surprise they are delicious! The food came out hot, which I love and does not happen most of the time I eat out, which is way to often. Love the country inn setting, and how clean the restaurant was. Enjoyed the music in the background. Very romantic restaurant. Valley parking would be nice, but parking is not that far away. Must try, very much enjoyed my meal.

The ambiance is fantastic. The restaruant is on the basement floor of the hotel above and the dining room is cozy and of brick. The dining area has two fire places which they do keep goign when it's cold outside. They are very elegant in their decor and have many fun things to look at on the walls concerning Annapolis history. The breakfast is simple but delightful. My mother insists we come here for every breakfast when she is in town visiting. She loves the waffles - and I must say they are usually perfect and my 2 year old son will eat the whole thing... they are belgian waffles. All the breakfasts come with a side of home fries that are just delicious but can easily be replaced with fruit.

My wife and I came here in April while in Annapolis for our anniversary. The ambiance and decor suited a quiet, romantic evening. My wife and I started with a cheese tray and a martini and a beer. The martini tasted fine, with smooth olive finish, and not overly boozy. The cheese was cubed and served with fruit and crackers, reminiscent of a grocery store cheese tray, which we found disappointing. For our entrees I ordered the rack of lamb, and my wife the lobster scampi with a crab cake. The crab cake contained a fair amount of filler and binder, and arrived burnt on the bottom. The lobster scampi, instead of having smooth butter sauce, was fishy brothy and overly salted. The lamb arrived medium to medium well instead of medium rare. The sides were overcooked. Overall, an okay place for drinks, but not for dinner.
