A pleasant little place and obviously does some regular business. A man was picking up a to go order and conversed with the staff. "Been a while since lunch. How are you?" While I have no particular qualms about recommending it, the restaurant is about half or better self-service. I had the chicken parmesan and you get a good amount for your money. It came with garlic toast and angel hair pasta. The entree was pretty good but the bread was just ok. I also had a chocolate chip cannoli that was decent, but a little unremarkable. A good place for relatively cheap and a quick meal.

This place is great. My favorite thing is they have two portions to offer, the lunch portion and the dinner portion. I love it! I just moved to Maryland and we do not have these in NJ but this Lunch was great. I will def be coming there often. I would def. recommend to others.

We LOVE SQUISITO in both Annapolis and Crofton! You cannot beat their prices and can always depend on the food being hot, fresh, and delicious and their service is prompt and very friendly!

No complaints. Mission: to consistently serve perfectly priced high quality authentic Italian dishes with superior service in an upscale yet casual & inviting atmosphere. Great service! Had the penne alla vodka and house Chianti. Buffet line of you want pizza by the slice. My garlic bread came out right away. Pasta quickly followed!

Ordered a slice of pepperoni and a chocolate chip cannoli to go. Food was good, if you're looking for New York style pizza, you can't miss with this place!

Was in town for the week, and thought I'd give this a shot. The chicken parmigiana was wonderful, and the chocolate mousse cake is probably the best that I have ever had.

My new favorite pizza spot in annapolis! Great pizza and even faster more authentic pizza joint service you would expect at a spot in New York or Chicago. I loved the meat lovers pizza, great sausage and bacon and ham not the tasteless crap you get at papa johns and dominos and Pizza Hut. I saw gelato when I went in so that will be next on my list of things to try! Can't wait to go back!

First time I tried Squisito was at Arundel Mills Blvd. Wasn't that impressed with the pizza then. Glad I tried this location, the pizza was hot, fresh, oozing with cheese and grease as a NY style pizza should. Pizza - 4-5 stars. Pizza was great and the closest thing to NY style pizza in the area. My other pizza spot has to be Potomac Pizza in Chevy Chase, MD. That's a pizza worth driving for. This place was damn good also with respect to the pizza. Calamari - 1 star. Tasted like rubber bands. The marinara sauce HORRIBLE!!! Garlic Knots - 3 stars. The knots were good the marinara sauce HORRIBLE!!! I called in my order for lunch at about 11am. Got there in 15 minutes food was ready. They just opened at 11 but they had a TON of staff hard at work.

Nice pizza stop. I've ate in and taken out. Both were good experiences. The crust is NY style with a little more crisp than your typical greasy NY style. The garlic knots plus a salad made for a tasty reasonable lunch. I'd go back.

This is a nice quick Italian eatery that suits the purpose. We go here when we need a fast meal that is not "fast food". I always get the Gnocchis covered in delicious pink sauce - but I must say it has to be a heavy cream based sauce because I always get a bit sick afterwards. They give you bread with your meal and they also do some really delicious garlic knots. It's good, quick, tasty Italian. You order at the front counter, they give you a number, you find a table, and they bring you the rest.

My wife raved about this place so I decided to give it a try instead of Pei Wei. Talk about efficiency and quality. We were worried that it might take too long considering the large selection of menu items they offered. It did not take long at all. As soon as we sat down the salad came out and before I could finish my beer the entree was served. I had the chicken parm and it was perfect even better than some of your more popular chains. The portions are huge (but I am a skinny guy). I even had enough left over for lunch. The restaurant is dine in or take out. Although not fancy, it is very warm and inviting. The customer service is excellent and they also serve Gelato. I had the strawberry gelato which was very good. Can't wait to try it again the next time I'm in Annapolis.

Some unique ready to pizzas. Pretty cheap. Reminds me of a pizza joint you Find in a mall but a tad higher quality. The garlic knots are pretty good.

The Salmon salad with arugula, artichoke hearts , pine nuts, & cucumbers is UNREAL! The dressing at this location is awesome and i crave this salad everyday! I literally would pray that they come to the squisitos in crofton and show them how its done!!!!! Please the crofton needs help with this salad especially the dressing! Oh yeah and every time i get a slice of pizza there....its so good I am delirious and can't drive and eat at the same time. MMMMMMMMMM I will be back soon! The staff are always cheerful and friendly and I usually leave there with a smile!

For a quick, informal italian dinner, this is a good choice. I am a fan of the format here; order at the counter, the cooks prepare it fresh, right there, and then it's brought to your table. I like the layout also. Plenty of seating, bright and clean, and on a very hot day, plenty cool. There is also ample parking. I ordered the Tornados Pizziola and, while I wasn't expecting a mound of spagehtti on top, it wasn't unwelcome and it was tasty. It was a little lacking however, relative to the tornados. The wife had some pizza and found the pepperoni very tasty. The veggie was a bit on the mushy side. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees, and the garlic bread is also excellent.

My wife and I and a friend ate recently at King's Contrivance near Columbia, MD. The place is well known for its food and didn't disappoint. What has changed is that the portions have gotten much smaller. I am not interested in large meals because I don't like waste and hardly ever eat the leftovers I bring home. That said, we all had the beef tips which included mashed potatoes and green beans. There were about six small tips sitting on a piece of toast which smoked up most of the gravy and which give the appearance of more meat than is actually on the plate. The potatoes were a little more than a thimble with a thin cracker stuck on top. The beans were very thin and not many. All the food was good but $24 for six tips is a bit ridiculous. The setting is fantastic and so I suppose that is what you are paying for. By the way, the martinis are over priced as well.

Just had their pizza for the last time. We loved their pizza a couple of years ago, but it has since gone down hill. The crust was soggy and bland and the veggies tasted like they came out of a can. Their pizza tastes like they are using lower grade ingredients. There are better pizza options around town. We think the best Margherita pizza is at Vin 909 in Eastport - there is always a wait to get in, but you can order Pizza to go. It's pricier but WELL worth it - wish we had done that tonight.

The food here was awesome, this was a bit unexpected for it being in a strip mall. The order at the counter and we will bring the food to you cost this place a star from me, if you are going to have waitstaff bring your food why not have them also take your order and bring your drinks.

So so pizza. Fast enough for a quick lunch during work. The staff is always pleasant.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
