Sorry guys, can't go higher than 2 stars. The wings tasted like the frozen Tyson ones, rubbery and skimpy. The pizza crust on my "Godfather" (what they call a supreme) reminded me stale bread or like pizza crust left in the refrigerator uncovered overnight. Delivery guy was friendly and delivery time wasn't bad, and my pizza did have lots of toppings (but not much tomato sauce) so I can give 2 stars for those.

Solid service and quality pies. The pizza steak is always worth picking up. If you want corporate fake smile service then go elsewhere. Play nice and they will gladly hook up regular business.

Ugh, I have lived in Annapolis for a long a** time, and Roccos was once my go-to late night or normal night pizzeria. However, I just had a pizza delivered, along with 2 or 3 others in the last couple months, that have been atrocious without taste and with waits longer than an hour. I was always the good customer without complaint with the same level tips. No more. Please do not make the same mistake, especially on sacred days off of work.

Everyone has their own idea of pizza perfection, and this is mine! Thin, perfectly cooked bottom with a chewy delicious crust...in my opinion, this crust perfection cannot handle a ton of toppings for carryout, as it would get soft. Usually for carryout, I choose just one topping...they are happy to do half and half, too. When dining in, feel free to tuck into a more fully-loaded pie and don't forget that they keep their keg of Blue Moon just a bit colder than most, so it's extra-refreshing. Great neighborhood vibe and friendly employees, please be considerate and refrain from cell usage at the counter!

One of my first jobs was at pizza parlor. A time before delivery. A time were the local pizzeria was a destination. A juke box, and a pinball machine or two. A time were dough and sauce were made on premises (most franchise pizza places get their dough already made from local suppliers and their sauce out of a 5g bucket). Were pizza was cooked in deck ovens not on a conveyor belt! When getting pizza was treat. And that's what Roccos is for me today, sadly sans the pinball machines. Real pizza, cooked in real ovens. It's not close and I will order fast food pizza on occasion for convenience. But when I'm craving pizza and beer, I pack the family up and off to Roccos I go. Always a good meal and good time. I would suggest calling ahead because they get pretty busy.

Dined in here, the salad wasn't that great. The overall dining area was very outdated, needed a good cleaning also. The pizza was good except for the plain hard crust, which no one ate- we usually eat the crust. They had a large selection of drinks and a good menu. Would go there again if I was in the area!

First of all let me just say any pizza place that allows you to buy pizza by the slice will get brownie points with me. Rocco's is located a little distance down forest drive, but it was worth the 10 min drive from the mall. I went on a very slow Friday afternoon and I was served literally within 5 min of ordering. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and fast. I sat by myself at one of the tables for at least 25 min and enjoyed my 3 huge slices and soda. My only complain is it was a little pricey, but as I had said in previous reviews, I will pay for good food. Plus, I'm sure places like this have to charge a little more to be profitable especially with rising food costs. Bye bye Pizza Hut and Pizza Bolis, I with Rocco's now!

  • Elizabeth M.

Best pizza in the area! The place isn't fancy, but the pizza tasted fantastic. A lunch for 4 with drinks only cost 14 dollars. The people were pretty friendly too! I definitely recommend this place.

  • Phil S.

Giving Rocco's 3-stars based on the local competition and because they're the only delivery place in the area that chars the bottom of the pizza. They claim to have authentic NY-style pizza. Do they compare to actual NY pizza? Hell no. But they're better than any other local Annapolis establishment.

  • Dave S.

UPDATE - My partner is a Jersey girl and I'm a NY boy so while our standards for pizza are a little different they are high. We have yet to find a better pizza in Annapolis. As we coordinate dinner by phone on our respective ways home when we are both overburdened and tired Rocco's delivery pizza is a common solution.

  • August West W.

Rocco's pizza is very good compared to the other options for the Annapolis area. Rocco's reminds me of the pizza where I grew up in New England, where there are many "mom & pop" places. The crust is a bit thicker than New York style slices. The pizza is hearty and the prices are very good. Overall, this place is definitely worth trying. Their subs and wings are great too. However, if they used better quality cheese, I would give them 5 stars.

  • Kenneth C.

Good food, but each time I've ordered it's been a minimum 45 minutes for delivery. Would prefer quicker delivery but considering the food always comes piping hot I let it pass. Still if you are starving you might want to look somewhere else.

  • Eric P.

I've been here a few times and the food isn't good. Tonight I ordered stuffed shells, and they were still frozen inside. The girl at the counter shrugged and asked someone to toss it back in the oven. Eve after reheating, they were still cold inside. Yuck. I would think a local place like this wouldn't be serving frozen manicotti.

Probably my favorite pizza place in Annapolis. Excellent service, quick delivery, and a very good pizza. Unfortunately, I have never ordered anything else from here, but I know the pizza is very good. Recommended.

This is my favorite traditional pizza place in Annapolis... The pizza is always fresh and consistent. Love the banana pepper/pepperoni topping combo. I've also tried their fried ravioli but wasn't a fan... Stick to the pizza!

Hard to reach by phone. Not overly friendly. Few healthy options. The pizza is excellent!

  • Linda J.

I love this pizza! We order it well done 'cause I like extra crispy crust. It's close to home and it's clean and friendly. When I pick up and put a tip in the jar, they actually say, "thanks"! Or you can dine in, watch TV and hang with some Bay Ridge water dogs. Highly recommend the Godfather. Great classic mix of ingredients. Balance is right, well loaded with stuff, crust is perfect, too. Honestly don't know about the rest of the menu, but I'm sure it's good. Just get a big, juicy pizza and take it home for some yummy satisfaction!

  • Seth G.

This is a great place to get a pizza and a much needed beer after dealing with ones family (mine live down the street from Roccos). The folks there have always been friendly and food (only had the pizza) has always been good. When getting beer you can get a chilled glass for it to go in, which I am a big fan of and for this reason I always get a draft.

Won't be back. When we first moved to Annapolis in 2013 we picked up a pie and it was awesome. Perfectly cooked, perfect cheese/sauce ratio, and the crust was nicely done. We were convinced that we had our pizza place established. Had some vegetarian guests over and ordered 3 pies, one of which was (supposed to be) olives and cheese. Picked them up and brought them directly to the beach shortly after dusk (so we could barely see) and one of the vegetarians bit into the olive pie only to discover it was covered in sausage instead. Gross. Shame on me for not checking when I picked it up, but that was a careless error on their behalf too. Since we had 2 other pizzas and were starving, we just chucked the sausage pie. We decided to give them one last chance and ordered a pie for pick up on a Sat. night at 8:00pm. They told us the order would be ready in 30 minutes. My husband waited 45 minutes. Whatever. It's a Saturday night so we get it. When he brought it home (2 miles from the restaurant) it was luke warm. Bit into it and the dough wasn't cooked, and the cheese was congealed into some cold goopy consistency. He called and explained what had happened and requested another pie, and they made it a point for us to return the original. So we did. When my husband was topping the new pie with parm he overheard the cashier say to coworkers that our original pie "wasn't that bad". It was. It was gross and my dog wouldn't even eat it. And the new pie was pretty crappy too. Also, they don't take AMEX. They get two stars only because we had one positive experience. If you order from here don't leave without inspecting your order.

This place is always busy. Hard to order over the phone, there seems to always be a busy signal. We once waited an unacceptable amount of time for a delivery, but we just pick up now. The pizza is so good. I would also recommend the mozzarella sticks and the fried ravioli.

    Just overall awesome pizza.....enough said!

We've been long-time customers of Rocco's, but recently had an employee fraudulently add a tip to a pick-up order. When we called the manager to report it, he didn't do a thing, didn't even reverse the fraudulent charge! Just said he'd "look in to it" and never heard from him again. Totally blown away that the manager accepts unethical behavior like this from his employees. You've certainly lost our business, Rocco's. Warning to others to double check your credit card statement when doing business here!

  • Richard L.

Called for delivery and they guy told me they stop driving past spa road and Forrest drive. I live 1/4 mile past spa road. The crappy part was that Rocco's pizza is only 2.7 miles from my house. It's not like I was already 7 miles down the road. But yet I was to far to deliver. When I asked why all he said was that "you have to put the line somewhere" I'm in the industry and it just sounds like a cop out.

I've been going to Rocco's for over ten years, and I've never had a complaint. Great service and great pizza, what more can you ask for

I travel to Annapolis from Jersey periodically to visit relatives and after numerous poor experiences with local pizzerias, I decided I would scour the area based on Yelp reports to see if I can one that comes remotely close to New York/New Jersey pizza. I've been very fortunate in having many excellent pizzerias in my neighborhood as well as having sampled great Manhattan and Brooklyn joints over the years, so the bar was set pretty high. Sadly, none of the local Annapolis offerings came close. The folks at Rocco's were certainly very pleasant. The slice I had was the crispiest of the test group. The sauce was pretty scant and not bad but not great. The cheese seemed like it came out of a bag versus being freshly grated. Tasted somewhat like a Bagel Bite topping. Relatively speaking, Rocco's seemed the best of the bunch.

    (3)
  • Christine C.

It's pizza, and not the best pizza. The dough is bland. The cheese is generic and the sauce is tangy and sweet. The service is mediocre and the weekend staff does not treat you like a valued customer. It's pizza... I go here to support the small business owner and because my husband likes it. No other reason. They don't do too many specialty pizzas either.

The hole in the wall appearance does not Give justice to the food. Went with friends and had the Sicilian godfather pizza. Fantastic!! Some of the best pizza I have ever had hands down.

  • K B.

I'm a Philadelphian and in town for a few days. The other day I got some cheese pizza and it was fantastic! Not exactly straight from a Philly or NY neighborhood, but close enough! The 4 stars are all for the pizza This afternoon I got a cheesesteak and BLECH! Pretty sure they microwaved the roll, which made it hard in places. And the cheese...I have no words. Terrible, terrible sandwich. I would give the cheesesteak 1 star, to be honest. I also sampled some fried cheese ravioli, which were decent: 2 1/2 stars. I've had much better, but for $4 they were okay.

  • John S.

Definitely the best pizza in Annapolis. Friendly warm service and cold beer. I want some of that pizza right now. Might make me forget how bad the skins are playing.

  • Meredith M.

This place has some really great New York style pizza! The restaurant is located in a grocery store plaza and has a hole-in-the-wall appearance. We ordered a large pizza and 4 fountain drinks. The meal only cost $14 for 4 people, which is very cheap. The pizza came out very quickly. Once we got the pizza, we were very happy with it. Although the restaurant it self is simple, the great pizza really shines!

  • Matt C.

Phenomenal pizza for the area. They deliver, their menu is really diverse, and they serve beer!! I mean it's a pizza joint in Annapolis, I don't want to hear whining about how it's not up to NYC standards - neither is any bagel shop off the island. But for those of us not fortunate enough to live on the lower west side this will have to do. Plus it is pretty much the only non-chain pizza joint in the area (don't worry I am not forgetting Leeward - more on that in a different review). As a side note too, I am always happy when the person behind the counter doesn't roll their eyes when I order my pizza with anchovies. Staff is overall pretty friendly, most of them seem to really enjoy working there. Unfortunately the really "granola" girl who used to work there is no longer there. She always put a smile on my face lol. Skip the Pupa and the Demonos, order local, get better quality, and enjoy a better experience all around!

I came to this restauarant because it was voted the best pizza in Annapolis by the What's Up Annapolis magazine. Unfortunately, the pizza was mediocre at best. The pie was greasy with flarvorless sauce. The crust was ordinary. The chicken wings which were touted by other reviewers were so bad that I had to throw them in the trash can at the restauarant. The bottom line is that if you are looking for a tasty pie, this is not the place to get it. Ambiance, well, there's none. All in all, Rocco's is a last resort dining establishment. Even if it were the only restaurant open you would be better served to give strong consideration to just getting a frozen pizza and eating at home. It will probably taste better.

  • Tim H.

Maryland isn't really known for it's pizza, so the bar is set fairly low. That said, Rocco's is a little above average. For those looking for authentic New York pizza, you're going to be disappointed. You're best bet for that is Rusticanas over on the Eastern Shore. One of the reviewers noted a problem with consistency and I would tend to agree, as I think that they tend to undercook their pizza a bit. Still, pretty decent. My one major bone of contention is delivery. If you call for pickup, it is 25 minutes, but delivery is generally an hour to an hour-and-a-half. In a little town like Annapolis, that seems extreme.

    (3)
  • Lauren N.

Great pizza and great service. Not too salty which seems to be a problem in Annapolis pizza dives. Lots of dough!

    (4)
  • Dirty T.

The best "regular" pizza in Annapolis (VIN 909 has good, fancy pizza). I like the chicken parm sub, too. Get the pepperoni pizza, a pitcher of beer and some french fries or wings. If you're a Bay Ridge area local, you're likely to run into someone you know. My favorite no frill, super casual, old-fashioned pizza joint.

    (4)
  • Mister E.

Good pizza, call ahead and place your order, you will have a hot, tasty pizza within 30 minutes. Friday nights get very hectic since many folks make that pizza night, so try to avoid prime time for the best results. The Interior is basic, functional pizza-parlor and no frills. Not sure why some people weren't satisfied, I've gone here six times in 2012 and always been satisfied.

    (4)
  • Tony P.

Great pie, if you get them on a good day. The problem with Roccos is consistency. We eat there a couple of times a month as a family and sometimes the pizza is amazing, but sometimes (and just sometimes) it's mediocre. I think it has something to do with the crust. I sort of hope their management will see this and address it, because the staff is fantastic and I never have the nerve to be like ... So why does this pizza suck when the one we had last week was heavenly?

    (3)
  • Janice R.

So far the best pizza I've had in Annapolis. They also have very good chicken wings.

    (4)
  • Hae S.

I've been enjoying Rocco's pizza for the fast five years, ever since I moved to the area. My family always gets it to go or for delivery, so I don't know what their dine-in service is like. The pizza is really yummy, and I especially like the crust. The sauce is the right amount of sweetness. A pretty good size in terms of the slices. We probably order from them about 3 times a month. I've gotten the chicken cheese steak sandwich before which is good, but we usually order the pizza. Overall, the pizzas are good, and definitely way better than any of the chain pizza places in the area.

    (4)
  • Mike N.

I love the deep dish pizza! I would prefer they used butter instead of olive oil, but it's delicious none the less. The regular crust is great too if you prefer it, but doesn't last as leftovers as well as the deep dish in my opinion.

    (4)
  • Rebecca C.

I've been a Roccos fan for years but after today's carry out experience I have completely lost interest in their food. They wrapped my one piece of pizza in foil and intentionally put it "standing up in a bag" the cashier told me. It was disgusting, rubbery cheese and foil. Good pizza should taste good even if it's completely deformed. It tasted like crap! Then my garden salad. The dressing "oil and vinegar" looked like old bay. I will never return to Roccos pizza. I have old bay and rolled up cheese with foil in my kitchen, I'll have that next time.

    (1)
  • Cori G.

I'm being kind here. This was a waste of my caloric allocation. . Nice lil gals behind the counter and all but the pizza was rubbery and even tho' I asked for a little extra crisp on the crust...it was still kind limp and soggy. I ordered sausage and onion and was disappointed that the onions are chopped pieces instead of thinly sliced longitudinally. I suspect they don't understand the purpose is to carmelize the onion for a charred/sweet flavor. Side salad ...meh... Good tomatoes tho. The Yuengling beer on tap was a nice surprise. So, needless to say, this place may have been good once but it's not so good anymore.

    (1)
  • David B.

Food was good. Service anything but friendly. Was absolutely disgusted to see them refill the ice machine on the coke dispenser with a bus tub.......GROSS! We will NEVER return
