Avenger Fans may recall the final scene of the Avengers movie when Tony Stark started to ramble about going and getting shawarma. Well, I just happened to look up at the menu and my son was like, dad, they have shawarma chicken. Cool! Lets try it. So, they have a taste bowl with a pita chip. Oh so delicious. I ordered the pita as the chip was prepared. I told her, don't change anything. It came with the shawarma chicken and cilantro hummus. So much more I can't recall. So fresh and so good. I needed a good food spot in the mall and this is now my go to. Nothing else even get close. If you have not been to the Mediterranean to visit, I can say, the food there just tastes fresher and this spot hit that mark 100%. Love it and recommend it you get close to the mall, swing through the food court and get your shawarma chicken on!

Good mall food court find, really well priced for the variety of healthy mediteranean food you get. I got a chicken platter and it was fresh, filling and delicious! I actually look forward to eating there for my mall trips as it's not like typical mall food court fare. Especially fulfilling during these hot muggy summer months.

BEST MALL FOOD EVER!!! Try the rice or salad bowls. Think Chipotle burrito bowls, but Mediterranean style. Choose a protein (two kinds of chicken, falafel, steak, or meatballs) and then add your toppings. The meats are grilled to tender, juicy perfection and the seemingly endless array of toppings (tabbouleh! 3 kinds of hummus! couscous! various pickles + olives!) are fresh and packed full of contrasting flavors and spices. Finally, crown your delicious bowl of goodness with a sprinkle of feta and a drizzle of their oh so creamy and unbelievably delicious tzatziki and harissa sauces. I was seriously blown away by the value and quality at Mezeh. If you're at the mall and craving a fresh and flavorful lunch, you can't go wrong with a rice or salad bowl from Mezeh.

We ordered from the catering menu for our monthly meeting. It was delicious and everyone absolutely raved about it! In fact, we are ordering from them again this month. The food arrived on time, was set up by the catering delivery staff and they were pleasant and accommodating. The food was fresh, hot and yummy. I was really surprised at the service and quality of the food. The store in Annapolis Mall hit a home run with us. We have vegetarians and vegans and Patrick M. in catering made suggestions to meet our needs and helped with the amount of food to order. As a customer service professional it is nice to work with someone who provides the level of service you are expect. Way to go Jose and Patrick! We'll see you guys again on Friday! -Catherine @ NIC

OMG! So good! Excellent mall food. Ordered a bowl and ate off of it 3 times! Large portions for $10! Phenomenal, fresh food! Can't wait to go back! Cilantro hummas? I'm in heaven!

Tasty food, the falafel and hummus are especially good. Only negative - drinks are overpriced and small. odd that they charge for refills at the mall.

Disgusting, I ordered falafel, was told it would take a couple of minutes because they didn't have any ready, I didn't mind waiting, but what I got was totally disgusting, whole chick peas cooked in the falafel balls, wtf? I was so hungry that I still tried to eat it, I managed to only be able to eat one of the 8 pieces I had. I am posting pics of what my falafel looked like, blech.

I've been here a few times and the food never ceases to amaze me. It is always fresh, and they hit the nail on the head for Mediterranean food!!! I love the falafel pita wrap with the spicy hummus.

I almost feel silly reviewing a mall restaurant, but I grabbed lunch here the other day before a movie and it was very good. There are a ton of choices! You get to choose your "base" then add protein and lots of condiments. I got the rice bowl with falafel, hummus, and olives, and balsamic dressing. It was very tasty. The portion was on the small side, I think I got 3 golf ball sized falafel. The falafel were surprisingly spicy and flavorful, I definitely left wanting more. This place is good enough, I'd definitely go back if I needed a quick meal before going to a movie or when shopping. Yum.

This place is a cheap college student's dream. For under $6 you can get a filling Pita full of different and tasty things. I found the chicken to be too hot to eat without being smothered in other stuff, but the falafel I found to be much milder. The staff have been awesome explaining what's what, and forgiving when I don't know the name of the Greek cucumber sauce. My one complaint is that they haven't had half the dips listed on there menu either time I've been there. (But maybe I hit them on a bad week, yes I've hit them up twice in one week.)

YUM!!!!! I had never heard of this place (I don't get to the mall that often), but got a Groupon offer so I thought I'd try them out. I stopped in this past Monday (Labor Day sales....yeah!) and had lunch in between shopping. I LOVE the concept...as one other post said, it's very similar to the Chipotle model, and the staff are very friendly and willing to explain anything that you're not familiar with. I got the "plate", which is a rice bowl, with the chicken shawarma....fabulous! Their classic hummus is delicious, and definitely rivals that of Lebanese Taverna (which has AMAZING hummus). The raspberry tea was very good, but the sizes are pretty small for the price....hey guys, if you're reading this, you may want to consider either getting bigger cups or reducing your price. Just a suggestion..... One thing to note: If you check in using your Yelp app, you'll get a message saying you can get a $6 movie ticket as a yelp deal for checking in. Well, don't feel special and let your ego swell....apparently, this is Mezeh's every day deal for anyone who buys a meal from them. They have a big sign up on the glass about it.

Take it from an Arab, if you want good authentic falafel this is not your place! The falafel is sub-par, the service is also sub-par. If you want cheap and quick then this might not be a bad option. I recommend going to garbanzo or better yet Lebanese taverna over this place.

This is a food court gem. The food is delicious, unique, and fresh. I love they have healthy options, or you can go a little crazy as well. I hope to see these pop up in more locations!

Came here on a Groupon, it's in the Mall food court but I think the concept is a good one. Choice of plate, pita or salad. Then a choice of protein. While add ons are limited it doesn't seem they hold back by choice of selections, but nothing comes in more than a 1 oz. scoup. Without Groupon it's going to be a $10 meal, a carryout option IS a possibility, park at Sears for quick access. Pita fresh and hot.

My only complaint is this place is in the mall. I rarely go to the Westfield Shopping Center in Annapolis, but in order to get a healthy, delicious and fresh lunch, I will go out of my way to go to Mezeh even if I have absolutely no shopping to do. Not only is the selection of ingredients abundant and varied, you never have to say "can I have a bit more please?" like you do at Subway or some other build your plate place. The servings are beyond generous, and I often end up with a pita so fat that I literally cannot get my big mouth around it. Problem solved with a bit of fork foraging before eating it like a sandwich. You can pack on the ingredients, like spicy red pepper hummus, tabouli, marinated olives, tomato, cucumber salad, corn, beets, turnips, etc., etc. There are at least five sauces to choose from my favorite being the tzatziki - vibrant, fresh and tangy - the perfect compliment to all the other ingredients. I went early this time to avoid the crowds and to find more convenient parking. It was so nice to see my pita go from dough to done in seconds right before my eyes. I had no idea they baked them right there. Another plus. Though the pita does not have a ton of flavor it is extremely light but yet sturdy enough to hold the boat load of ingredients. Frankly, I appreciate that, as I am sure the wrap they offer would tally up a whole lot more empty calories than this choice. Wish they would open up another location, though, preferably one not in a food court. But hey, for now, I will take what I can get.

After the first time eating here, this is pretty much the place I eat exclusively in this mall. Delicious food, full of flavor, love the quick order setup. Staff is always friendly, great people. Did I mention that the food is DELICIOUS?! (Not to mention healthier than most of the processed foods in the food court to boot.) I usually get the wrap with their great house cilantro and feta-infused hummus, some fresh turkish salad, and chicken shawarma. One of these days I'm going to try to find out the recipe for their Harissa sauce (supposed to be spicy yogurt sauce, but not too much kick to turn normal non-spicy eaters away). Until then, I'll just keep ordering it to drown my food in its tangy goodness. Do your taste buds a favor and eat here when you're in Annapolis Mall.

Looks like they've raised the prices quite a bit. a pita is now almost 8 bucks and the last 2 times i ate there my pita was ripped in half and was basically just a salad on top of bread. The food quality is still good but the price increased and prep decreased, not a good combo. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

The fast casual industry has needed something like mezeh for some time! I am a vegetarian and tried these guys for the first time today. They were patient with me and explained my options clearly. Most places only have one, maybe two, veggie options, but food at mezeh is so customizable(think Mediterranean Chipotle with way more toppings!) that you don't feel like you are missing out. They even let me try the falafel before committing to order as I had never tried it. Everything was delicious and CLEARLY fresh. This is the healthiest I have felt eating out anywhere.Prices are fair for the industry - right in line with what you would pay at comprable fast casual chains. Will definitely return.

I absolutely LOVE this place. Food tastes great and they don't charge you if you ask for extra. You know, like Subway charges you extra if you ask for more cheese. I asked for more cheese and no extra charge! Yay! The chicken schwarma is fantastic.

I work in the mall and this is my favorite place to eat. I recommend this place to many customers wanting to know the best place to eat in the mall. The service is always fast and the food is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place a try next time in the mall. Skip chic-fil-a, panda express, and try something you will truly enjoy!

As someone else has mentioned, Mezeh is like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle. I had seen it at the mall before, but hadn't thought about stopping there until I found it was on Groupon this morning. I'm glad I went. I had the plate with steak schwarma, garlic hummus, corn salad, feta cheese, cous cous. For the price, you get a nice amount of food, so much so that I boxed a little under half of it to eat later. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

This place is so fantastic. I have been there four times now and it is excellent every time. It is the "Chipotle concept" applied to Middle Eastern Food, and it works incredibly well: choose your starch, then your protein, then add toppings and sauces. Whenever I go to NYC I always make a special trip to a quick-service restaurant called Maoz Vegetarian for falafel, and now I don't think I'll ever go there again because Mezeh is just as good, and local. I have had the falafel and the chicken shawarma. My husband gets the beef shawarma. All are delicious. If you get a rice bowl (which I always do) you also get a pita on the side, or you can choose pita chips. Their pita chips are the most delicious ones you will ever eat-- baked with olive oil on top, like pita nacho chips. They have a good variety of sauces, including the delicious spicy harissa. Their toppings are imaginative and give a good variety of tastes and textures, so you can go there many times and never get the same thing twice. It is plentiful, fresh, and delicious every time. Mezeh also has a Coke Freestyle machine operated by the staff, which slows things down a bit but means you get exactly the beverage you want. I hope this place stays in the food court forever. I often eat at Lebanese Taverna down the road when I'm in Annapolis, but this place is very competitive with them if you're in the mood for Middle Eastern. It is a great standout in a mall with many tempting options.

Mezeh was my #1 go to place in the mall. Great choices and I loved that I could pick as many toppings to put on (cabbage, corn, cilantro, carrots etc). Today, I went and everything has totally change. I asked when this happened and they said two weeks ago. Previously you had 3 choices between (3 different) hummus , couscous, cucumber salad, your meat and then all the toppings you want. Now you have only 4 choices between the hummus, couscous, cucumber salad, corn, veggies and all the toppings. In order to get my usually order I have to pay 50 cents for each extra topping, which means I would have to pay an extra $3.00 to add all the toppings that I am use to getting. I am very disappointed in the change of prices and choices. This was the one healthy place to eat in the mall and now they want to overcharge you, but should I be shocked? This is what happens when places get popular. As someone else said, it was good while it lasted. I most certainly won't be going back

This has become my new favorite lunch place in the mall. There's not much in a food court that can rival the freshness and vibrance of this place and that combined with the reasonable prices, the flavor, and the huge quantity of food merit 5 stars. It doesn't feel like food court food, it feel more like a quick, casual sit-down quality. You have a few different choices: you can get a pita, a wrap, a salad, or a plate with rice and herbs. (The latter is generally my go to.) If you get the plate you also get a pita or pita chips with the meal. You then pick three dips/sides: they have a range of hummus options, fresh vegetable salads, couscous, and more. Then there's the protein- falafel, chicken, beef, seasoned vegetables... You load up with any toppings you want (feta, olives, cabbage slaw, lettuce, pickled turnips, corn, and more) and top off with a sauce. I love the falafel. They're generally cooked well and have good flavor on their own. For sides I can never pass up the Isreali cous cous and then round it out with some spicy red pepper hummus, cool Turkish salad, or some tabbouleh. And I'm always torn between the tatziki and harissa sauces. Both are excellent! I usually opt for the pita chips to the bread itself. I prefer my pita bread dense, chewy, and sturdy- theirs tends to be fluffy and soft and easily ripped or sogged down but I do seem them baking fresh ones all the time. The pita chips, on the other hand, are also made fresh and have great seasoning! I always get two meals out of a plate- it's way too much food for one sitting but the price is great for that.

My favorite mall food court food ever! =] I had the pita filled with steak shawarma along with a ton of other things I can't remember. But everything was flavored nicely and very tasty. I was totally full. I saw the other customers getting platters and thought that looked delicious also. I actually can't wait to go back to the Westfield Mall food court. And the staff was very nice and helpful also. They told me everything is made on site and helped me make some decisions. I want to go back and see if they are consistent.

A healthy tasty alternative surrounded by usual boring choices in the mall food court. I've been twice and it's been very good. Portions are large with many alternatives/combinations for carnivores and vegetarians. I would only give 2 critiques. Both times it has seemed to me that the meat selections have been there awhile and look a bit dried out. Also there is no nutritional information so you can't calculate calories even though I'm assuming it's much less than 5 guys unless there's a lot of hidden oil in their vegetable sides. Also no website to lookup this info. How hard is it to build a website with basic facts? Only wish this was a place outside of the mall so it was quicker in/out and I would go more often for lunch.

I really like the food here. It's a chipotle like concept applied to middle eastern food. I've done my share of travel to the Middle East, and can't say this is all that authentic, but its delicious. It's also a relatively healthy option in fast food, which is a pleasant change. Most healthy fast food is a travesty, so it was a nice change. My only real grievances are that their cup sizes for drinks are medium and small. The medium I think is a 20oz cup, which I think is kinda lame. Me second issue is that the girl that served me there this evening wasn't particularly pleasant. She wasn't rude, she just seemed like she'd have preferred us to keep on walking instead of stopping for dinner. Also, she kind of shorted me on feta cheese, and when I asked for more she charged me for an extra topping. Not something that will stop me from going back, but it seemed kinda weak.

  • Sheelah N.

I read a review that likened it to chipotle. ( only Mediterranean style.). That was dead on correct! It was my first visit and won't be my last. The food looked and tasted very fresh and wholesome.

NOT your typical food court grub. Probably some of, if not the best, food court food I've ever had. It was fresh, filling, healthy, and tasty. The basmati rice was soooo good! I got falafel, couscous, red pepper hummus, and babaganoush (sp?), with a healthy dose of tzatziki sauce atop it all. Pita bread was fresher than any bread from Panera, too. Best food court option imo!

When I first started visiting Mezeh a few months ago, I had no complaints at all. It was awesome and I told everyone. Since that day, I visit Mezeh at least once week for a chicken shwarma plate. However, in the past month or so, the portions have gotten ridiculously small. They were not gargantuan before, but they were definitely filling and worth the $10.07 I consistently spend there. But now, I literally have to ask the person behind the counter for 4 extra scoops of rice to make a decent sized meal. The people fill about half of a serving spoon with rice and that's all they give you. They take their time shaking it around and spreading it out so it looks like more than it is as well. But when all is finished, you don't even have enough rice to coat the bottom of the plate. By the time my chicken and hummus and all other sides are added, my plate is only about 1/4 full. I used to leave there with it much more full. Skimping on rice is not a way to bring devoted customers back. I have tried a few times since to see if it was just the person who happened to be waiting on me, but it seems like everyone wants to cheap out. I hope this changes back to normal because I really loved this place.

We bought the Groupon to Mezeh--3 $10 vouchers for $15. Mezeh is has an interesting Chipotle like-concept but with Middle Eastern Food. It seemed as though every time we went back--we made better choices and the overall product was better. The steak shwarma was both of our favorites and we both liked getting the plates because the rice was delicious. Also, the plate portion was huge. Definitely a stand-out in the food court selection!

I am new to the Annapolis area and was really missing the great falafel pitas from my home town so I decided to check out Mezeh. The falafel was good, but I ordered the plate, where you get an empty pita + rice and the other sides like the falafel and whatever you choose. It only came with two falafel balls and I didn't really like this option, I only ordered it because it was suggested by the person working. I wanted the pita already filled but she said that by the time they fill it with everything it kinda rips and breaks apart. I mean, why not make the pita pockets bigger or ones that don't do that then? It's possible, my old falafel place did it all the time. So I'm willing to go back and order what I really wanted to see if that it is true or not (I have a feeling she was maybe suggesting the plate because it was more expensive/easier to put together) And you do get more food with that option, but I just prefer it all in the pita. And I do really wanna go back and try the shawarma. I studied in Spain and may have been spoiled already by the many authentic Arabic shawarma places there but I do really appreciate that this option is available at the mall so I definitely want to give it another try!

I love this place. I have had lunch here twice and both times I loved it. The food is fresh and full of flavor. I am only hoping they open more locations.
