Lemongrass Too Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

The decor was simple with a very pleasant covered patio as an option. The menu was the typical Thai fare that I would have expected. I had a creamy red curry that was quite tasty with nothing exceptional about it. It is certainly a place that I would go back to for good Thai meal without feeling like I was at one if those restaurants were every dish has to have a bizarre name or that the wait staff all have to do some weird song and dance for each birthday. A very pleasant place to take a date or your family.

Don't waste your time or money. Over-battered, fried and sauced appetizers. I had the $12 sampler -- left 2/3 on the plate. My stomach still hurts hours later.

As usual, my Yelp friend Patrick H. hit the nail on the head. Some of the most delicious Thai food I've ever had the pleasure of eating. When we come to Maryland for family visits, we always have a large group gathering here, and I'm always humming with joy at the amazing food. True, the portions aren't as gigantic as other places I've been, but the quality of the dishes more than makes up for it. We almost always start with the lettuce wraps (minced, spiced chicken w/ fresh veggies and crisp lettuce leaves), which are light and quite tasty, and the fried green beans (tempura-battered green beans, dressed with the most delish slightly spicy sauce), which are the best I've ever had. Then comes the daunting decision of ordering an entree. Everything I've had here is truly incredible. This last visit, I tried their crispy duck, which was, indeed crispy, and just bursting with delectable flavor. I sampled the kid's cashew chicken, which was also amazing. Dan, who I haven't yet in our six years together been able to sway from meat and potatoes, labored over the menu. He finally decided on the Lad Na, which was so tasty. It was full of fat noodles and chicken, very mild, and a dish I would easily recommend to newcomers to Thai food. Literally every dish I've ever had the pleasure of trying here has been perfection. I love the place itself. You have the option of dining indoors or out, which is a nice option for a Thai restaurant. If it's available, we always request the long center table, which is just perfect for a group. Lovely, warm ambiance; think modern, but inviting. The servers are always sweet and accommodating, and will easily assist with recommendations. Love this restaurant, and can't wait until our next visit back. I'm already drooling over those green beans!

This is m favorite Thai restaurant and I have eaten in quite a few. Once inside, you would never think you were at the end of a strip mall sandwiched between the likes of a Best Buy and a Petsmart. The decor is hip and inviting. It has a very "Pottery Barn" feel about it. I know everyone loves the West Avenue location of this blossoming Thai restaurant mini chain, but I find that location to be too cramped and often difficult to get in. (I suffer from suburban tendencies) Start with the crispy duck salad, tossed with a spicy lime dressing that's downright addictive, or try the crispy calamari with it's sweet and spicy dipping sauce. The squid is flash fried, tender and virtually greaseless. For entrees, you can't go wrong with the Pad Thai, which will remind you why you fell in love with Thai food in the first place. Also, their curries are outstanding. We love the Panang Curry with chicken. It's the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, creamy, peanuty goodness. For my money, though, Seafood is the star. Shrimp Pik Khur will make your lips tingle with spiciness. Basil Mussels are another great entree choice if you are looking for something light. Pad Pik King is another great selection. Your choice of either chicken, shrimp or beef is stir-fried in a hot red curry paste with green beans. Presentations are always artful and colorful. Desserts are good, too. You can't go wrong with the Mango and Sticky rice. We have found the service to always be a strong suit for the place. They seem to have an endless supply of hip young people at each of their locations, adding to the overall chic vibe of the place. Casual, refined and delicious ... What more could you ask for? Oh yeah.. they have outdoor seating, too.

I usually love this place but poor service this time... I mean really poor service on a Sunday, it was just ridiculous .... the usual fabulous food was late, cold, and had to be sent back. If that was not enough they never brought half of our drinks. I will chalk this up to a bad night and or a bad waiter...not sure which. I have had good food here so I am going to give it three stars as to not to be too harsh due to one bad night...Ill keep you posted on my next visit if it has improved.

I'm not a huge fan of Thai food, but Lemongrass Too offers some good food. The first thing I noticed when we sat down was that you don't have a "personal" waiter or waitress. All of the servers pool their tips and they share everything at the end of the night. So technically, everyone in the restaurant is your waiter. You'll be lucky if you see your server more than two or three times throughout the night. This model would work if they could coordinate just a little bit better. They have a very nice, covered patio for outdoor seating. The fried green beans are delicious! Make sure you get a plate of these to start out with and then move onto the Drunken Noodle (chicken, white noodles, onions, peppers and some good spice). I liked this dish even though I'm not a huge fan of onions. If you're in the area, stop by!

I was skeptical for two reasons: 1. the name of the place tells me it may not be so authentic and 2. It's located in a shopping center. Well, nothing to be skeptical about, the food is very good. Generous portions of fairly priced typical Thai entrees afforded us a delightful dining experience. Spice rack with assorted chilies is provided to heat up your food even more!! Not located downtown, but only about 10 minutes outside. Full bar.

Three Strikes time. Gave them one last try, and after being ignored for a while, I got my takeout of Beef Drunken Noodle. 1. The portion didn't even start to fill the little container, so for some reason takeout gets less then eat in, It looked like the portion you would have left over after eating in. 2. All the noodles were stuck together in a big blob in the bottom, none of the sauce was mixed into them, I had to peel the noodles apart and mix them into the sauce, 3. the dish had Count them. 2 pepper pieces, 1 green and 1 red, and 2 tomato pieces cut the size of a golf ball, other then that there was about 6 beef pieces normal size you would expect and the vegetables were crunchy and uncooked. So it seemed like the I got noodles from one pot, beef from another pot, sauce from another pot and they threw in a couple peppers for show and sent it out the door without ever getting cooked together. It didn't taste the best either. It was not awful. The texture was off because the noodles were all sticky the whole dish was kind of was sticky. If doubt I will return.

I went here for lunch with co-workers. Maybe they do not do well with large groups or we went at a bad time but he service was not the best I have experienced. Food is a bit pricey but taste is fairly decent. The cuisine is Thai so they have all the Thai dishes you would expect to find. I would come back again.

I love everything about Lemongrass Too. Their food is so awesome! The staff is friendly, the prices are good and the atmosphere is great. One of my family's favorite places to go eat at.

  • Ben G.

Food was ok and I was ready to forgive that they were completely out of all the Thai beers they normally carry, but the service was horrible for a restaurant that was almost empty. Staff were blatantly unfriendly and consistently inattentive and acted like were we were an inconvenience.

I wouldn't know how the food at Lemongrass actually was. My friends and I called ahead and were told we could be seated at 8 pm. When we arrived we were the "next on the list". After one hour, several other guests had been seated before us and we still had no table. The hosts were incompetent and told us that it was a problem that we were a party of five. We were offered no apologies and we left to go eat at the restaurant next door.

I've been to Lemongrass many times, so I wasnt sure if Lemongrass Too would be as good... It was! I loved it! As usual - drunken noodles, pad tai, lad na, fried string beans - all great!!! Great, fast service - good food - easy parking - nice atmosphere!

Very disappointed with this location. Our noodle dishes came out very fast and were mostly burnt. They were also completely missing the complexity that I have come to love of Thai dishes. Shortly after getting our plates, the cook ran out and announced to the servers that she was going on break and would be back in 20 mins. At this point we realized why our pad see ew and drunken noodles were burnt and bland, and left. It was our first time at this location and we will not be returning. In my 15+ trips to the West St location, I have never had even close to such a bad experience.

I am not sure it was the expiring Groupons or the at home Navy game, but Saturday lunch here was like an unending purgatory. At noon, every table was full, and though a hostess and a runner from the kitchen were on hand, there was 1, ONE and only one server! Goal accomplished groupon collected, but if I can't make it to the West St, location, I am just not going to Thai one on.

Lemongrass II - lesser of the Lemongrasses? Ah, the lesser of the Lemongrasses... it's like a big budget movie that goes NOWHERE. Found in an unassuming strip mall behind a Best Buy and liquor store across from Annapolis Mall. (Hey, anything beats going to a chain like Cheesecake factory blasting 90's music on a Saturday night). Atmosphere: the lights were not dimmed, less about mood setting, more about applying queuing theory for a quick turnaround. Not sure what they're trying to achieve with the high tables and stools in the middle of the restaurant...what is this Chipotle? Robert Irvine would have a fit over that.. On the plus side, one can appreciate the zen-like atmosphere attempt in the bathroom. The fake bamboo separator really classed it up. As far as I could see it had the same food and drink menu as the regular Lemongrass. There was a lack of herbal refreshment teas. The dessert menu was nothing to write home about. I don't like to stray, so I split the chicken satay with peanut sauce app, green coconut curry with shrimp, and drunken noodle with chicken (both spicy, we needed a control entrée..oops). They should have brought out the curry first so the next entrée wouldn't be cold. Summary: Lemongrass II is for a weeknight on the run. Lemongrass on West Street is for the weekend (throw in the friendship mojito pitcher and then head over to Cosmopolitan rooftop nextdoor).

The place is great. Went with a group for friends for late lunch and the staff was very accommodating. The ambience is really nice and the good is great. I ordered chicken kra pao and the portion was good size and tasted really good. Will definitely check this place out when I am back in area again!!!

Excellent and authentic. The lettuce cups with chicken were delicious. For entree I had the lemongrass pork. I asked for it extra spicy and they accommodated -- tasty and hot! Service was very fast. I was in and out in an hour and 15 minutes. I was there during happy hour -- great deal with $5 drinks and appetizers.

Food : Great. Never had a problem or a disappointment. Try the panang curry. Seating and Atmosphere: Elegantly simple but try for your own table rather than the highchair height one in the middle. Or in good weather why not eat outside. Service: Mostly good, very friendly, sometimes a bit harried. It's definitely getting better. Don't be confused with the Lemongrass in Crofton - the waiters here, while not stuffy, aren't going to scratch themselves and call you 'dude!' like there.

I don't know whether they have a new chef or what but the last couple visits to L2 have been disappointing. I chalked it up to just a bad night one night since the place has always been a good stop for lunch and occasional dinners, but after the second and third time of disappointing meals, it was time to go back to Lemongrass on West Street. Hopefully, they were still doing the tasty, flavorful dishes I love the way I loved them -- the green curry with shrimp and the soft shell grabs with the spicy chili, basil, garlic sauce. To be fair, their appetizers are still some of my lunch favorites -- specially the crispy string beans that I couple with their tangy and spicy Tom Yum soup. I have not given up on L2 yet, so maybe I will revisit the place and revise my review but for now, I can't recommend it.

Very slow service. Extremely unhappy experience. I stopped for lunch alone and offered to take a spot at the bar. I was ignored for over 15 minutes. I followed up later in the day with a call to the manager and was told "that's the way it goes sometimes" and asked to stop by and try again. Sorry. No. Fail.

Headed over to Lemongrass Too after a less-than-eventful trip to the "Home Despot" across the street. I've always enjoyed the food at Lemongrass, even if the service can be a bit spotty. We arrived around 1:15 to find only a few occupied tables in the main dining area (some adventurous souls were eating outside on a very humid day). Unlike previous visits, where you may sometimes wait for one of the Gen Y servers to take your order, we were waited on promptly. My dining companion and I split two appetizers: the crispy string beans ($8.95) and fresh garden roll ($5.95). I *always* order the crispy string beans. They are perfectly cooked every time and come coated in a garlic pepper sauce. The garden roll (fresh veggies and a hint of mint leaves wrapped in rice paper) is a refreshing choice for a hot day. One order includes two rolls and hoisin sauce for dipping. We chose to split the green curry with seafood ($8.95 lunch) for our entree. The menu indicated that this was a "3 chili" item, but I didn't find it overwhelmingly spicy. It included shrimp, mussels, squid, and scallops. Everything was fresh and tasty. I needed to change Squeaker (4 months), and our waiter graciously cleared off the dresser in the ladies room to accommodate her. Two thumbs up for that. If the restaurant isn't crowded, and you stumble upon a good server, you'll have an excellent meal at a reasonable price. Try to visit during lunch hours when entree prices are two to three bucks less than dinner hours.

I can't complain too much. The food is good, but certainly not the best in town. Service is usually spot on, if not a little slow. The Asian-modern decor is pleasant and the music they play is good, but not very... Thai restaurant-ey. I always go for the drunken noodle because it's my favorite Thai dish. Actually I always get it at any Thai restaurant. Man, I should broaden my horizons. Don't order the "Thai Clouds". I think that's what they're called. They sounded angelic. They should just call it "Fried dough sprinkled with powdered sugar served with a condensed milk dipping sauce". That would be less deceiving.

As a long ago visitor to the original Lemongrass I remember being wowed by the atmosphere and delighted with the food. Sadly, my first visit (and likley only visit) to Lemongrass Too left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere was decent - reminds me of many other asian fusion restaurants with light colored wood and bright colors. I loved that we were able to sit at a long high top table! I found the prices to be expensive for what we got and the food just a-okay. Nothing exciting about it. It was actually pretty bland in comparrison to other Thai places I've been to. I also thought the service was very slow considering it was not busy at all. We had to ask for water refills and waited a really long time for our checks to be delivered and then our cards to be picked up. Sometimes expansion is good. In this case, I vote not so much. This place lacks the zest of the original Lemongrass. Keep trying Lemongrass Too.

This place is so good but it is so crowded especially on weekends or when there is a Groupon special running. The seating is like NYC style - you are very close to other parties so try to leave the kids at home. Definitely not a place to bring a screaming baby. We had the kids but they were good to give us a table outside (with the space heaters). The food is delicious!! Everything on their menu is great and I can't wait to come back for another appetizer special.

The servers were fairly inattentive when I entered the place, and it took at least fifteen minutes for me to get water let alone a chance to order. Beyond that, though, I tried the red curry and tom yum soup as hot as they could make them and they did not disappoint! You know how you say that at some Thai places and they still hold back? Not here. They even offered me a tray of chile sauces and powders to make it spicier at my discretion! The food was excellent and spicy and yet maintained great flavor. I will definitely be coming back, just hopefully the staff pays me better attention next time.

Went there for lunch December 2011, floor was sticky all aound the table, and the food was marginal, and I got sick later. My friend just loves the place, so maybe it was a one-off, but my experience was bad enough to not to want to go back. The wait staff was professional and polite, which softened the experience.

Great service and great food! The staff was incredible. They constantly checked on my table and made sure everything was ok. The hosts sat us immediately and brought us water only seconds later. Even then our waitress appeared after a minute and recommended the best drinks (Mai Thai and mohito!) Our string beans and calamari came out fabulously and the pa ram long song (graciously recommended by our server) and pad thai were SO GOOD! My family's new favorite restaurant. GO HERE also just a note, they are not affiliated with lemongrass crofton, found that out and was not surprised, crofton was horrid!

What a great bistro style restaurant. The food is modern Thai cuisines with plenty of wines and mixed drinks to satisfy all taste buds. The restaurant itself is fairly small and quaint, but the atmosphere is laid back and vibrant. Just up the street from Annapolis Mall, Lemongrass Too is located in a strip mall of sorts and could easily be passed if you didn't know it was there. Although the restaurant was rather packed, my friend and I were able to snag a table. We both ordered the drunken noodles and a few glasses of wine. We were enjoying our conversation so much that we didn't notice that it was taking our food a country minute to be delivered. Finally, after a 35 minute or so wait, our food was delivered to our table. Not sure if our food was delayed because of the amount of people that were there or if this is normal protocol, either way, I let it slide...THIS TIME. The portions weren't enormous, but just right. This was my first time eating Thai and I was really impressed. I loved the flavor of the drunken noodles and it was really filling. Even with the restaurant being so lively and full, our server checked on us frequently and offered plenty of suggestions from the menu to us. My friend told me the original Lemongrass is in Crofton, which is closer to my home. Perfect! Since I'm now a Thai fan, I can't wait to try other entrees on this menu, either at this location or the one in Crofton. A pleasant surprise for my taste buds!

Was at Lemongrass Too with an old friend. I arrived a little earlier than her and thought I'd sit indoors. But the smell was awful ! It was kind of a spoiled food stench which really churned my stomach. So I decided on an outside table. The tables were not very clean but the good news is that there were ceiling fans ( which really helped my churning stomach ! ) Anyway, my friend arrived and we ordered some "lemongrass" Mojitos and Martinis. The Mojito was served with lots of lime wedges which looked stale but the martini was delicious. The food was also quite tasty ( contrary to my expectations). I would suggest ordering those items which they consider their "signature items" only. The server was friendly and helpful but I would definitely suggest that some cleanliness and a fresh look at the products coming out of the kitchen would be a welcome idea to foodies like me ! I do believe that the place could be developed into something better.

Lemongrass Too is a lovely and quaint restaurant tucked away in a quiet little corner in Annapolis. Very nice decor and courteous service. Our waiter Jim, although wonderful looked a bit scruffy like he just woke up and had on yesterday's clothing that he slept in. I'd like to have tea that is brewed in a teapot instead of Bigelow tea bags. The Crispy Duck Entree was a bit over fried but my coconut soup was excellent. A taste of my kids noodles delighted my taste buds. I will definitely come back. You will enjoy.

I really like Thai, and food. So Thai places get good ratings from me. I've had a variety of dished from here, and all have been good. If you like your food spicy, be sure to emphasize that. I ordered green curry (a 2 chili disk according to the menu) and it really wasn't spicy AT ALL. Still tasted great, but my wife doesn't like spicy and she ate and enjoyed the dish. Pad Thai is also good. They do carry out, but it's much better in the restaurant. The space is large; a bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and able to accommodate large parties 12+. Be sure you know that this is Lemongrass Too (by the mall/Best Buy). The original Lemongrass is downtown on West Street.

My friend rave about this place. I came here on a Saturday night for a casual dinner and got seated right away. The ambiance was ok and the service lacked quality. For starters we ordered the fried dumplings and for our entrees we ordered the chicken pad thai and chicken friend rice. I have to be honest, the food wasn't quite what I had expected. Perhaps I had high expectations coming in but the quality just wasn't there. I wouldn't consider coming back, at least not anytime soon.

It's a cute little place with outdoor seating patio. The servers are pretty fast since it's a small place. We've only been here for lunch and it's a great three course lunch special. Last time, I got the Pad Thai and it was delicious. The portions are smaller but just perfect for a fast cute lunch.

Great for gluten-free! I came here with my husband on a date. I told the hostess that I am gluten-free. She told me that's not a problem just to tell the waitress. I am very sensitive to gluten but I didn't have any reaction to my food. The food was fresh and delicious; the service was great; the price was reasonable. I will be back!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, I have heard a lot about it and thought why not make a visit. When we arrived the location, it wasn't too busy but there was a lot of to-go orders ready for pick up and no wait. We we're brought to a table, and had our drink orders taken. I went with a Vietnamese Beer "33," a alt-German euro lager, the beer was okay and fair at best. There we're a few other beers and bud light. As for the mixed drinks, the mojito was delicious but had a little too much mint leaves. After browsing through the menu I went with the Ka-pow Chicken, which was marked as one of their hotter offerings, and a soup to pair with my dish. The soup was spicy, and was plentiful, I returned a few times throughout the meal to sip at the soup. My Ka-pow chicken was amazing. The mint infused, jasmine rice was delicious and as were the white breast meat used in the dish. Spicy and full of flavor this dish, though huge was delicious ! As for the portions of food, we left with semi-large take home containers, there was A LOT an extra added value to the meal . Service was fair, nothing too stellar, I did run out of water ; and though I had once been refilled before my main dish was served. I didn't get refilled again at all. The lasting impression is good, I feel like I have found a new restaurant with a alternative twist on popular dishes.

Arrived at 9:17p (closing time is 10:00p) and was told "our kitchen closes in five minutes, sorry!". Went next door to Sakura and they let us in, served us promptly, and had no problem letting us enjoy our meal (plus free miso soup and a super-special, custom, loaded hand roll for the price of a normal one!) until after they closed at 10! Be sure to walk down a few doors if you end up in front of this place -- it is well worth it! Or just take the trip to West St. to the original Lemongrass -- that place is consistently good.

We stopped here after a Nat's game with a whole group of friends. The pad meals were delicious. I loved this restaurant and my entire group had nothing bad to say about any of the meals (we had six different ones). Some of our group also had the sweet rice desert, which they also complimented. A must return!

The food here is fantastic. The crispy string beans and the sweet rice with mango are my absolute favorites. However, if you're in a rush, don't even bother. I come here occasionally with friends, craving the food but not wanting to deal with West Street parking at the original Lemongrass. Lately, however, I'd rather just deal with downtown as the service has been very slow and frustrating. My last two visits have been pretty disappointing. Both have been on weeknights (a Monday night and a Wednesday night, at about 5:30). It wasn't busy, maybe 4 other tables at maximum, this place is pretty small. The food comes out quickly, hot and delicious, but once its out, good luck finding your server. Both visits, both my company and I finished our entrees and waited a good 20 minutes before our server showed up again. We finally could place our dessert order, and that came out a few minutes later, not from our server (who was nowhere to be found) but from a food runner. The runner didn't bring out forks or spoons to eat it with, and our server had cleared ours with our entrees. So we sat for a few minutes, while our dessert got cold, waiting for our server, a food runner, a manager, ANYBODY to come by so we could ask for utensils. Nothing. Finally I got up and walked over to one of the many empty tables and grabbed the silverware from there. Nobody noticed or said anything, not surprisingly. I promise I'm not just being a whiny, spoiled brat about the service. I work at a restaurant, and I'm majoring in Culinary Arts, so I have a pretty good idea about how restaurants work. I cant imagine how awful the service must be on a Friday or Saturday night. *Side Note* nothing to do with my review or my rating, but just an observation. There is absolutely no uniform or any consistency in the clothing of the staff. Our server had on jeans and a cardigan and Toms/Keds or something and the girl who ran our food was wearing an Adidas tshirt, skinny jeans, and flip flops? Not very safe for a restaurant (most require closed toed shoes), especially being in a kitchen and running trays of food, and honestly not very professional looking. Kind of puzzling. Well I hope this was helpful and definitely come in and try the food, either here or at the other Lemongrass, but be prepared to stay a little while.

Definitely try the fired ice cream and soft shell crab. These two must be the top two choices.

Had a fantastic lunch on a brutally cold January day. Server Ryan recommended Tom Yum soup and it was delicious with the bit of cilantro and thai chile. Finished with a light and hearty veggie delight dish. As an added bonus, asked Ryan if he could make a hot toddy and he knew exactly what I meant and made it perfectly. Hidden gem.

Tried this place out because of a Groupon deal. The restaurant is a little small, but very tastefully decorated. They have booths and tables on the side and a long, high-top table in the middle that can accommodate a large group. For the appetizer we tried their sampler platter. It came with 2 spring rolls, calamari, fried green beans, crab ragu, and chicken satay. I was a big fan of everything except the spring rolls. It was pretty bland. I loved how it came with 4 different dipping sauces -- a sweet & sour sauce, peanut sauce, vinegar-y sauce, and a balsamic-y sauce. Definitely a good start to the meal. We split an order of drunken noodles and fried duck. They were very accommodating with the level of spiciness. They made it mild and brought out a personal seasoning tray so we could add our own level of spicy-ness. This was a major plus for my husband and I since he likes things much spicier than me. The fried duck was good, but you could hardly tell it was duck anymore since it was fried. I probably won't get that dish again. I thought the portions were a little small considering the price, but the flavor was good. If they have another groupon, I'd probably buy it, but otherwise, I think other Thai places have better value for the money and taste just as good.

I worked in Annapolis for 2 years and would eat here once every two weeks. The drunken noodles is on of my favorites. All of the curry's are very good as well. The fried string beans are delicious, but def want to share with more than 2 people.

Sorry. No. Fail.

This usually less busy version of the downtown Annapolis location features roughly the same menu. Service is usually better at this location and therefore I am giving it one more star than the downtown Annapolis location. We've tried the drunken noodles and the green curry and both were pretty tasty. Neither one was overly spicy and the portion size was reasonable for the price. Probably the biggest downside of this location is that it is inconvenient. You need to go deep inside a shopping center to find this place, but once you do you'll probably have a pretty good lunch.

MUCH better than the Lemongrass on West St. Staff is much more courteous and you don't feel rushed. Pad Thai is the best I've ever had, anywhere. I find this one much easier to go to, the parking is free and the outdoor patio is nicer. Sure, its small but what Trendy restaurant isn't? Get the Pad Thai and the Crispy Green Beans!

This place is perfect for a quick cheap meal. I usually get the tofu pad thai. It isn't the best pad thai I've ever had but it certainly satisfies my frequent pad thai desires. This location is quick, chilled out and convenient (lots of parking out front.) Take out is usually pretty quick and consistent.

Not a bad location. Always a little slow and the couch benches are outdated and cracking apart. But the food is consistently okay (not great) and servers are always nice in their hipster way. Lemongrass soup, satay, pad thai and cashew chicken are the favorites.

Set into the corner of the Housely Rd shopping center like the ignored middle child, Lemongrass Too is a great place to pick up lunch. The interior is non assuming like the location, and although the name carries the Too moniker - this place still has a full Thai menu like its sister location. Skip the mall foodcourt and head across the street for a much nicer lunch in terms of food and ambience. The interior is no frills and reminds me of a NY noodle bar. When the weather is nice, there is a patio outside to sit at under shade. I recommend getting the satay chicken as an appetizer - they give you a lot of chicken and it is cooked just right. The brown glaze as a dipping sauce is really good. For entrees, the Pad Thai is done right - sweet noodles and with crushed peanuts on the side. The Pad See Lew noodles are great too - wide and tasty - but the portion is a little small if anything.

I have been going to Lemongrass Too (as well as the other locations especially Crofton) for 6 years now. Since we moved to the area. We took some guests from the Phillipines who were visiting to the Lemongrass Too location and we bragged about the food and service before oour arrival. I can honestly say that I will NO LONGER go to this establishment. I had one of the one of the most horrible dining experiences ever, and unfortunately it will effect me patronizing the other 2 locations. All things seemed good at first, but then our waiter (Travis) disappeared. SO after the food was brought out by some lady in the kitchen, we asked the hostess (who would not give us her name) for plates to share the food. She told us that they do not normally give out plates to eat from because each ENTREE was a single serving. After insisting for teh plates, she only brought out 4 plates for a 7 person party. All the ENTREES came out with serving spoons, so I had to get up and go get serving spoons myself (since our watier was no where to be found) The hostess was rude when I asked where our waiter was. We never got any refills for our drinks and when asked for take home containers, the hostess just dropped off the containers without saying a single word. By this time, the waiter (Travis) was spotted talking and laughing behind the bar. The hostess gave us our bill (which included a 18% gratuity) and our waiter did not even come over. Probably because of the number in our party meant he got his tip no matter what. I then asked for the manager, and she was just as rude and didn't care. I asked for a number to call to complain, and she said that she could not give out that number. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT, THE SERVICE SUCKS AND ALL THEY WANTED FROM US WAS OUR MONEY. IF I WERE NOT AN HONEST PERSON, I WOULD OF WALKED OUT ON THE BILL!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE + UNPROFFESIONAL MANAGEMENT= NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!

Just moved to Annapolis and tried this place the night after moving in and it was fantastic. Had the tofu pad Thai and drunken noodles. The food had a ton of flavor and we literally couldn't eat another bite by the end so got it boxed up. Also had the mango and sticky rice for dessert and it was amazing! The best drink on the menu is the cold java drink. You won't be disappointed. Make sure you ask for Bob!

We had a groupon and decided to try this location rather than venture to downtown Annapolis. Location- tucked away in a strip mall. You could easily overlook it if you didn't know it existed. I thought our gps had made a mistake with the address. Seating- several booths with a longer table in the center. The leather booth seats were cracking, which made things look less than professional. Still quite comfy though. There is also outdoor seating with fans. Nice touch if the weather is hot. Service- pretty fast, but it was nearly empty. Our waiter Steve was very attentive to our needs. Food- everything tasted great. We order spring rolls to start, followed by pineapple chicken and chicken curry. Price- a little on the pricey side, especially appetizers. Almost 5 dollars for three spring rolls. Lunch portions were better priced, but I still left hungry. Maybe give a little more food, especially cashews in the cashew chicken. Sad when the feature of a dish is the most scarce item. Overall- would come back for lunch, probably not dinner. They need to figure out a way to make their location more visible, otherwise people will continue to pass on by. Maybe the groupon will help.

I've lived in Annapolis for 4 years now and this is the first time I've ever been to a Lemongrass. I love me some Thai, but I've avoided Lemongrass because of what I've read in reviews about the poor service. I have to say I do agree that the service was less than attentive, but the food was very good. I don't like having to flag my server down as he's walking by my table in order for me to get another beer. He should be checking to see how empty my glass is and asking me if I want another. We started with the satay chicken skewers and they were tastily seasoned. I ordered the duck curry dish, the broth was a little watery, but it had plenty of duck meat in it. Overall, I enjoyed it. We also tried the Steak salad and it was just okay, nothing special. I will go back.

I love Lemongrass. I always order the Pad Thai Chicken and a Thai Iced Tea because they are both just so yummy and satisfying. The service can be hit or miss sometimes though. Sometimes the serves are attentive, other times, not so much. But either way, I keep coming back for the food. I love to bring my friends here. Not so much my family, it's not quite their style since it's a little more laid back.

Not the best pad Thai I've had; there's a Lemongrass in Cville and their pad Thai is much more flavorful. The sauce that comes with the highly recommended crispy green beans is super delicious & super spicy. Now that I'm aware of their many locations I'll be able to try tons of new dishes. I ordered to-go & my cashier was just fine. No customer service issues here!

I went to Lemongrass Too for lunch, for the first time, today. Since I was literally the only person in the restaurant, your experience may differ from mine, but the service I received was fantastic! I was greeted, much to my surprise, by a young white guy. The other waiter was also white, and a black guy in the kitchen. All 3 of them were very friendly, and although he wasn't Thai, the guy in the kitchen certainly could cook! I got the crispy green beans (see picture) at the advice of the waiter, who said they were the best appetizer on the menu. I haven't tried the others, so I can't compare, but they were very good. The sauce is somewhat sweet, just a little spicy. They're fried in a delicious tempura batter. For lunch, I had the drunken noodles. While they were not the best I've had, they were still pretty good. They were not as spicy as I would have liked, but since it was my first time here, I didn't ask them to go as crazy with the spice as I usually would. If you do like very spicy food though (as I do), make sure you ask, since the default level is not very hot. They are generous with the beef, and perhaps a little too generous with the vegetables. I'm not sure what other people are talking about though, because even though I did get a lunch portion, it was plenty to eat! I hate when I have to ask to have my water refilled, and I tend to go through a lot of it. Fortunately, that was never a problem as the waiter always came over with water just around the time I wanted it. He also promptly brought the bill and more water before I had a chance to ask for it. I guess he could tell by my looking around that I was ready. Overall, very good service, nice decor, and decent Thai food. I'll definitely go back again.

Food was great!!! Service wow sucked though he was very nice he was lacking motor skills!!! Got there around 9:30 they closed at 10. We got the look of "great closing soon" the girl whom greeted us looked over for approval before we were allowed to sit. After asking for a high chair which consisted of one that was broken with no front I almost considered leave for that reason alone!! Server came over got our drink orders came back asked for them again an took our app order after a few moments he came back with our drinks an asked for the app order again! After 15 mins he finally came over for the dinner order to where he returned 2 more times for the order again. Very forgetful think he had a drink or THREE! It's now 9:50 a couple walks in for dinner he gave them the cold shoulder then basically said hey we close in 10 take out would be a better idea! Could not beleave that, as a server myself I live on tips didn't look like he cared to much! All in all he was very nice to us just out on vacation! So basically dont take your kids here they are not equipped to handle kids nor do they have a changing table for babies!

Mmmmm...delish! Fast friendly spot to grab lunch or dinner. The Pad Thai is AMAZING, as is the KaPow Chicken. They also have a fun wine list and drink menu. And now they cater- can't wait to order something for our office Christmas party :)

We have gotten take-out from here a few times and it is always fast & the food is always very good. We live within walking distance but have never dined-in, so we decided to walk over and give it a try over the weekend. The food was delicious, as usual. Everything came out quickly, hot, and delicious. They were happy to substitute a few things for us, which is always nice. The staff was very friendly as well! My complaint is the outdoor seating area. It seems like they have neglected this area and it kind of puts you off your food. There is nothing they can really do about the view, but maybe adding some foliage to disguise the parking lot might help. If you are facing away from the parking lot, you are staring at a huge disgusting dumpster and discarded items strewn alongside the restaurant. Not exactly what you want to see while you're eating. Also, every single plant that is outside is dying or dead. There were bits of trash and food underneath our table as well. A restaurant should be clean and well maintained in all areas, so hopefully this is not a reflection of what the kitchen looks like. The food here is really good, and the location is super convenient for us. I think if the owners/staff just put a little time into improving the outdoor area, it would do wonders! Hopefully they read these reviews :)

(NOTE: This review is strictly of the Lemongrass II on Housely Rd.) This is under the same ownership as the West Street location. Food, prices & portions are good. However, service & policy are the problems. This used to to be my go-to restaurant for super yummy, vegetarian selections, free & easy parking, good prices, nice atmosphere & decor. But the last 3 visits have left me less than thrilled. Most of the staff seem to want to be elsewhere. I can't tell if they are all generally pissed off or that is their normal disposition. Perhaps, management sets the policy that smiling prohibited and bubbley is out of the question. The staff also don't seem to have a grasp of "please" or "thank you" or "come back soon." It's like "get your grub and now get the 'bleep' out." At least they don't throw the food at you. Mind you, these past 3 visits have been at a slow period where the restaurant was either empty or not very crowded--so using busy is not an option for defense. Found out that at this location, management only allows the "happy hour" specials to be ordered and eaten at their communal high top table. The restaurant had 4 partons dining when we arrived & a lot of bored staff standing around stepping on their chins. When we asked about the happy hour specials, we were told that we couldn't order it because we weren't at the communal high top table. We weren't given the option nor told this was a requirement to order the specials prior to seating. When we asked our waiter why the policy, he replied by rolling his eyes, sarcastically flicking his head towards the kitchen "I think it's a stupid policy. But that's what it is." He didn't offer to move us to the permitted "zone of specialness" nor did he go out of his way to ask management. Instead, we had to ask. We got some double speak and that it would be corrected on the sign outdoors. Yet, we were still not offered the ability to order the specials. (Funnier still: When we left the restaurant and looked at the sign, she had actually added an additional disclaimer that stated specials were only good at the high top and bar area!) When we were ready to go, we had some items that we wanted to take with us. The waiter seemed impositioned to bring us take away containers. Despite having told him that we were taking three items, he brought only two containers and disappeared without further word. The menus are pretty much the same but beware that some items are different. On another occasion, we ordered a dessert that we normally get at the West Street location. Before ordering, we asked if that was the same. We were told that it was. However, when it arrived, the item was very different. Asking after it arrived, the waitress said that sometimes West Street has different items than they do. Okay, but this is effectively NOT THE SAME item then! Where is the confusion? No offers of apologies or attempts to redress. She just smirked and walked away. Gave them several opportunities & visits. Basically it's 3 strikes; they are out. Don't like to dine where not wanted.

I've been wanting to try Lemongrass for a few years but every time I'm hungry in Annapolis I forget about it. Finally I got in and I LOVED it. The crispy green beans are awesome and I want to drink the sauce. The drunken noodles are also very tasty. The drinks are AWESOME. I got a Mai Tai and a Mojito while I was there and both were excellent but the Mai Tai was one of the best I've ever had. The service was so nice.

Hey Patrick H. I like Lemongrass Too, too! I really am running out of opening lines for my reviews. Food - What struck me as odd when first walking into Lemongrass Too (L2) was that all the employees were white. We were greeted by a blonde in athletic shorts, UA crosstrainers, and a L2 beater that had Ka Pow on the back; a white guy was at the bar; and our server was a brunette. Having been to Thailand twice, I thought it would be amusing to see how white people would cook Thai food, akin to having a non-Hispanic bagging your groceries at H-Mart. To my disappointment, I saw several Thai cooks in the kitchen, which was probably better for my taste buds anyway. The food here is the closest to authentic Thai flavors I've had in the DMV. We ordered the calamari ($7.95) and shrimp tom yum ($4.95) to start. The calamari was some of the crispest I've ever had but the squid was a bit rubbery. The sauce it was served with was very light but went well with the dish. The tom yum was ok - it had plenty of zing but wasn't savory. For entrees we ordered the pork kapow ($10.95), tofu pad thai ($9.95) and shrimp pik kur ($14.95). The kapow had large pieces of pork in it rather than the minced/chopped pieces kapow typically comes with. The sauce was good but the pork was rather dry. The tofu pad thai was EXCELLENT and the shrimp pik kur had a decent flavor but I thought it could've used more kick. While the flavors were relatively authentic, the hot peppers were not. For one, their dried red pepper was a spicier version of Korean gochu-galooh (red pepper flakes) rather than the super intense crushed red peppers Thai food is normally served with. The rest of the peppers were spicy but not spicy enough, as authentic Thai peppers make you question your existence as they make their way through your GI system. Finally, the portions here are relatively small - Bangkok Kitchen (BK) in Odenton has larger portions. We went when the restaurant opened at 4p.m. on Sunday and heard our waitress say, "It's lunch," to a customer on the phone. This combined with seeing how small the portions were, I assumed we were served the lunch portions and prices. When the check came, we found out that it was not. Note: lunch portions are about $2 cheaper. Service - Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, we had to hail the server several times. Is this what Americans feel when they go into Korean restaurants? Curse you, karma! Location - Upon entering, you will notice the 2 I's principle of Asian restaurant design: idols and Ikea. The interior is very nice (see pics) and is rather surprising for something near Annapolis Mall where the reigning design principle is kitschy. Oddly enough, it seems to be a casual restaurant as the servers are in jeans and Lemongrass t-shirts. I would not recommend this place for those w/ children in strollers as the tables are VERY close together and we would have had problems had we not been the only ones in the restaurant. And for those on dates, you're going to be VERY close to those next to you, which is par for the course in most places in DC, but seems odd in the vast plot of suburbia known as Annapolis. A final note about this location: they are open from 11-10M-Th, and 11-11F-S and they stop seating at 3:30 for a kitchen break from 4-5. On Sunday, they are open from 4-10 w/out the kitchen break. A great find in Annapolis! It's about 0.5 mile from the mall and it would be a great option if you're shopping there. But the skimpy portions and lack of spicy peppers keeps BK as my favorite Thai place in the DMV. The fact that BK is closed on Sunday's will likely keep me coming back to L2 for my Thai cravings.

Full bar.

Went there for lunch December 2011, floor was sticky all aound the table, and the food was marginal, and I got sick later. My friend just loves the place, so maybe it was a one-off, but my experience was bad enough to not to want to go back. The wait staff was professional and polite, which softened the experience.

Great tom kha gai! Some of the best I've ever had! Massaman curry was too sweet for my liking though.

LOVE it here. This is a special treat for my young girls and I to come to for lunch after we've been running errands. They always remember us, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is great. I highly recommend!

Went here with a group of 6 people and had an alright experience. We ordered an appetizer sampler that came with calamari (my parents said this was great), crispy green beans (SO GOOD), spring rolls (meh), wontons (didn't taste), and satay chicken (didn't taste). It was a nice assortment but the green beans stole the show. My entree was drunken noodles with tofu and although the tofu was cooked fairly well, the noodles seemed undercooked. It was nicely spiced but the chewy noodles were distracting. My father got the same dish but with chicken and said his noodles were chewy too. My husband got spicy beef salad to start, which he said was ok, and Pad Prik King with pork, which was also just ok. We've been here many times, and the service has never blown me away. It seems like they might be under new management, we went in on a Sunday night and it seemed like all middle-aged guys, when we've had college students for servers before. Our server seemed like he had a lot going on, and he was fairly attentive but when my dad wanted a second beer, he had already walked away. We also weren't offered the spice/relish caddy thing, or chopsticks, while the neighboring table was. Weird. There are also some nitpicky things like the walls being dirty and desperately needing paint that detract from the ambiance. Overall all, an ok experience, but not my favorite Thai in the area.

Hidden gem.

Don't waste your time or money. Over-battered, fried and sauced appetizers. I had the $12 sampler -- left 2/3 on the plate. My stomach still hurts hours later.

I love everything about Lemongrass Too. Their food is so awesome! The staff is friendly, the prices are good and the atmosphere is great. One of my family's favorite places to go eat at.

Food was ok and I was ready to forgive that they were completely out of all the Thai beers they normally carry, but the service was horrible for a restaurant that was almost empty. Staff were blatantly unfriendly and consistently inattentive and acted like were we were an inconvenience.

This place continues to struggle. Depends on who is managing the store. We have eaten there since it first opened. Both good and bad. Roll the dice with this oriental restaurant.
