The samples get me every time! The staff is so patient while a take 20 minutes to decide what to get. Here's what I chose this time: -Cinnamon raisin bread-this makes amazing French toast. Seriously, drool worthy. -Raspberry, white chocolate scones-my husband loved these and do did his coworkers. -Chicken Enchilada soup mix-no salt and all natural. It came with free rolls! I haven't tried it yet but it sounds and looks amazing. -Juice Box-my son was thrilled and content while I browsed. Everything here is so fresh and worth the trip. I have yet to go wrong with one of their products. The cinnamon swirl loaf and the brownie bread are personal favorites.

I never liked the other Great Harvest Bread Companies that I've been too! But that was because they were cold and boring, never offered me any samples to taste or special deals. This one had me fooled! I didn't think they were a chain. It's a cute little place by West Annapolis and doesn't look at all like the other stores across the nation. Their ovens and countertops are right there in plain sight and all the cooling racks are behind the counter. I got this amazing coupon deal, $14 for a picnic basket which is worth $28 normal price. I picked the cinnamon chip bread- a hefty loaf and GREAT for making french toast. Whipped honey butter that comes with a spreader, trail mix, a huge pack of oatmeal cranberry cookies (oh man to die for and perfect for my friend who hates raisins). They let me sample- that's how they get you hooked. I had to bring my friend back the same day. It was like a museum and she was jealous I had this awesome experience without her. We got the cinnamon chip bread stick that is just like the loaf except it has rock sugar on the outside. It's supposed to be a good "after-school snack" the sign says. Are you kidding me? This will make kids fatty and on a sugar high if they eat this everyday! But as a treat, yes it's heavenly. That and the pepperoni roll... doesn't have a ton of pepperoni but it is full of flavor. Go sample. You won't regret it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I am a carb addict, so you know that I'm all over Great Harvest's bread. There is a rotating selection of breads each day with honey whole wheat, old-fashioned white and challah (so fluffy and delicious) offered each day. There are daily sweet treats as well including scones, muffins and cookies. "Nearly Gluten-Free" bread in three flavors is featured every Wednesday, and in October, there is mulitgrain low-carb bread on Friday (if you're so inclined). Try any of the pumpkin varieties this month--you will not be disappointed. I visited on Monday to purchase two loaves for gifts. The cinnamon chip white bread was amazing--like a cinnamon roll but without the heavy, super-sugary taste. Additionally, Great Harvest offers free gift packaging with any purchase. I wish this spot had a small cafe area, alas, it is only a carry-out and there is no public restroom. There is a frequent buyers' program--every 13th loaf is gratis. Make sure to ask for a card. Don't miss it--one of the best spots in Annapolis!

It's places like this that don't help with carb-free diets. The bread is amazing here! I love the unique varieties that they have everyday. Whether you are looking for savory or sweet, you can't go wrong with a loaf from this place. Depending on the bread, if you ask nicely they can slice it for you. One of my recent favorites is the Spinach Cheese scone. Who makes spinach scones??? This place does and it was amazing! They are open early in the morning and have small bread snacks and coffee from Cafe Pronto so you can carb overload before heading into work. It is a bit out of the way, but not far from the Rowe Blvd exit on 50. It's a worth a stop if you LOVE bread. They have a frequent buyer program that I have yet to utilize. I don't buy enough loaves from this place but other people may benefit from this. The loaves are definitely more for what you pay at the grocery store, but they are fresh and unique and worth the price.

We LOVE THIS PLACE! great bread, friendly people, good value for price. Last year, the science project was comparing bakery bread to store bought loaf bread... Guess what... Bakery bread was better than store bought ... Lasted longer before molding, mold grew at slower rate. Why? Fresher bread... Store bought took 3-5 days from baking to our house: GREAT HARVEST was same day. Why less? Cleanliness of great harvest and lack of mold spores introduced on face of bread when the store bought was sliced in factory. GO FOR FRESH BAKED BREAD!!!!!

I enjoy coming to this bakery. It is a stop when I am town. The items are so fresh and tasty. The staff is very friendly, and they always offer samples of breads and pastries. Last time, I had the pepperoni bake which I did not really like. I was expecting more. I know this is a bread bakery, but there was a little too much bread on this item. I know sounds hypocritical. I still look forward to visiting this place. I really like their cinnamon breads.

I go here all the time now that I work closer to it. They have wonderful muffins and breakfast goodies every morning. They seem to have something for everyone (spinach/cheese scones, cinnamon rolls, healthy bran muffins etc). I love it!

Great Harvest never disappoints! we got a lemon-blueberry sweet bread and it was fantastic. a loaf bread we got had spinach, red peppers and Parmesan, very tasty with the additions complimenting the bread not overwhelming it. a cinnamon snack stick was a nice dessert when spit. next time i am in Annapolis the asiago pesto will be nest in line!

So many good things to eat and the folks there are the nicest people! Three cheese rolls, muffins, cookies, loaves of bread in so many varieties. Moist muffins, three berry bran muffins (that look unbelievable), pepperoni loaf and on and on and on. We will be visiting them often!

Awesome bakery. The staff is always pleasant and there are lots of samples for tasting. What's not to like? Most of the items are on a schedule (I always seem to miss Oatmeal Raisin Cookie day) but the loaves of bread are delicious and never disappoint! I think the prices are slightly high (about $6.50/loaf) and scones run about $2. It is worth the visit though

Great Harvest is the "white bread" of, um, bakeries in Annapolis. I walked in hoping for a fresh sourdough loaf, but was disappointed to learn that they mostly bake white breads. So if that's your thing, you're in luck. Most varieties come in both round and sandwich-shaped loaf formats, and slicing is offered free of charge. While the darker, more whole-grained types are outnumbered five-to-one, they generously offer sample slices of their daily favorites. In conclusion, this place has a lot of white bread. Love it, embrace it, consume it-- and relate to it. In a way, Great Harvest is like life. So deep. So complicated.

So what had happened was......I needed gas yesterday and had some time to spare before going to the office. I located the nearest gas station and saw this place on the way. It looked pretty adorable, and moderately crowded for its size. I stopped by this morning and was overwhelmed by the bread selection. Loafs, scones, muffins, cookies, and more, and more! I opted for a cup of coffee, a caramel apple scone, and a monster cookie for later. The caramel apple scone was crunchy and soft in all of the right places. Oh and the monster cookie, it was a tasty cookie. Who doesn't love M&Ms, peanut butter, and oatmeal? You rarely see monster cookies at bakeries, so this is a +1 for me. The staff was friendly and the shop is tiny. You can see the massive ovens in the tiny place. It's quite charming really.

Oh Em Gee! This is as good as it gets for a bread bakery. Yeah they have sweet things tow but this is not the place to get your cupcakes. This is the place to come and get great bread. Friendly, helpful staff and a pretty decent selection of breads on any given day. I hadn't been here in awhile but it hasn't changed. Still a great place.

I wanted to send a basket of muffins and treats to a a nearby office. I emailed Great Harvest and even though they don't specialize in catering, they created a beautiful gift basket filled with a wonderful selection. In addition, they offered to deliver it for me at no additional cost! The office staff reported that everything was high-quality and delicious and they will be going to Great Harvest more in the future. This was such a pleasant experience working with Great Harvest. They had exceptional customer service. I can't recommend them highly enough for any custom order.

I shop here occasionally out of guilt, often for a gift or when company is coming. Why guilt? Well, I also drop in for coffee and for about $1.58 and get a 'grande" portion off local Cafe Pronto java, AND a sample (hand size) of today's hot fresh offerings. Awesome coffee and breakfast for $1.58? Beat that! I tip the change so it's two green backs and I am good to go, for lunch. My favorites here beside the staff, are the pizza bread, dinner rolls and the Italian herb bread. At holiday time there are some awesome ones too, but can't remember now. My favorite Ham and Cheese Scone is gone due to the Anne Arundel Health Department. The county insisted they he held hot or cold, despite the wee few hours they were on the rack. I can't imagine salted ham in a dry scone would culture a damn thing, but government knows best. NOT ! PS Quick breads only. For the hard stuff, you have no options in this town. Sorry.

What a cute little bakery! The staff was very attentive, well-trained and kind. I will be back :) This place is a hidden gem and if you've never tried it before you're missing out. Bought breads for my office and it was a hit! Prices are extremely reasonable and was very pleased with my purchases! Breads are fresh and always available for tasting. Love Great Harvest!

Really nice breads, but don't expect crackling baguettes. These are dense with a tight crumb. Our favs are the Virginia Rolls, usually only available during holidays. There is no better vehicle in which to transport a slice of honey baked ham into your mouth then one of these butter and egg enriched rolls. Make sure you toast em as they are pretty doughy. Nirvana.

Awesome bakery, small, not flashy or pretentious- ovens, dolling racks, a counter and some small displays. Tucked away conveniently in quiet West Annapolis, it is worth the jog off of Rowe Blvd to get freshly baked and well baked bread. They frequently have or will create samples for you, so you can taste before you buy. Not inexpensive, but worth the investment in your health and enjoyment.

I'd like to sing a song about the bread I have purchased at Great Harvest in Annapolis, however I'm afraid I'll just look like an idiot. Instead I'll gush about their wonderful Sinful Cinnamon loaf and the seasonal Pumpkin Pie bread they sell. I could (and almost have) eat an entire loaf of the cinnamon before I reach my house, which is about a 20 minute drive from the store. Of course they don't only make sweet breads, but the traditional sourdough and focaccia and wheat yada yada yada. Don't get the wrong impression, it's all delicioso, I just have favorites. :D Go in and pick up a calendar each month, they have special days they make each type of bread, and being a part of the secret calendar club (it's not really secret, everyone can get one), you're ensured the freshest loaves possible. Try to get there early in the day, because I think they close around 5 or 6 pm, and are not open on Sundays. And I recommend making french toast out of the cinnamon raisin loaf. YUMZ.
