We've been on a quest for decent Chinese take out since moving to Annapolis. Golden Dragon is the best we've found by far! We ordered our lunch to be delivered. It arrived hot in about 15 minutes. The lunch specials are pretty big in size. We ordered the orange chicken and the general tso's. both are considered "hot and spicy". But, fantastically, they ask you how spicy you want your meal! We opted for mild this time, and it was perfect for me. I'm not a huge spicy person. We also ordered egg rolls and spare ribs, both good also. Definitely a good choice for Chinese take out in town. I look forward to trying more menu items.

Frustrated with crummy Annapolis Chinese food? Look no further. I have lived in Annapolis for three years and I had nearly given up hope about finding good Chinese food. What makes me qualified to say what is good Chinese? I grew up just outside NYC and have lived in multiple other states where you could find good Chinese. To be honest, the best tips for finding this place came from other reviews...the rude service, the lack of proper English spoken over the phone, located in a slum shopping center, etc. To the casual observer these would be turn offs, but anyone who has ever had good Chinese knows these are exactly what you are looking for. After deciding to give this place a try, I saw several clues along the way that made me more confident that I was on the right track. This place is a hole in the wall off Forest Drive in a slightly suspect area (clue 1). The menu is a lighted sign with pictures of the entrees above the counter (clue 2). There are no chairs or tables inside, it is strictly carry out or delivery (clue 3). I ordered the General Tso's combination platter with an extra side of pork fried rice. It was literally ready in 8 minutes. Everything came out hot and fresh. It is typical (atypical for Annapolis) chinese food. Nothing fancy, just good soul-warming Chinese. Egg roll was crispy and hot and sour soup was great too. Only negative is that pork fried rice isn't standard with the combo and it came in a styrofoam container instead of the trademark metal container. If your looking for gourmet stuff go to PF Changs, otherwise go here- it won't disappoint.

Our favorite delivery restaurant. If you ask for spicy they will give it to you. Favorite dishes: Pork Fried rice, orange chicken, any lo mien, hot sour soup, singapore noodles, Moo Shu pork, egg rolls, beef and broc, seafood combination, Kung Pao chicken and more. Great thing is you can order non spicy of the spicy dishes and they still taste good. Reasonable prices. top of my delivery choices.

I have never ever been met this such rude customer service. The lady who answers the phone has no tact. It drives me insane, as I love supporting local business. But I doubt I'll be ordering here again.

meh. it was really good, cheap and hot prior to summer 2013. it was sold from the little older asian couple who argued all the time to some new folks, and it's really slid downhill fast. gummy, crunchy, bland, overcooked since then. ive switched to court of shanghai.

Our regular Chinese delivery place was closed for renovations so we decided to try this place. When I called the woman who answered the phone sounded frantic and in the background I could hear phones ringing off the hook.. Having worked in many fast-paced service positions I can fully understand how stressful it can be to juggle multiple phone lines and orders, however, I feel that it shouldn't completely remove a persons customer service skills and basic manners. The woman took our order but was very short with me. Once she got the order she gave me a total and almost hung up on me as I was asking to pay with credit. She said "I'm too busy to take card number right now. I'll call you later" and hung up on me. I was slightly baffled since I have never experienced anything like that before. I figured I would give her 15 minutes to call me back. While I was waiting I looked up the reviews on yelp and laughed when I saw the review from alejandro a. It was the exact same scenario. After about 20 minutes I decided to call the restaurant again to obtain some sort of clarity as to what was going on. The same woman answered, this time sounding much calmer, and I asked her about our order. She immediately knew who I was, took our credit card number and hung up. At that point we were questioning whether the order/delivery would actually come through or not. Luckily within 30 minutes the delivery man arrived with our order. The food was really good but I don't know if it was worth the hassle it took to place the order. Had the ordering process been less complex I would've been happy to give 4 stars..

Wow. I let the reviews here convince me this place was worth a try, in spite of being located in a slum shopping center next to Pizza Boli's. Was I wrong. I ordered a combination dinner. I haven't tried the soup yet. Not sure I want to. The "fried rice" was plain rice with soy sauce on it. I think I found one tiny dessicated piece of egg in there, and perhaps a scrap of onion. Vegetables? Meat? Forget it. The "General Tso's Chicken" was in such a thick, clotted sauce as to be practically inedible. The eggroll was overcooked, and 99% cabbage inside. They might have a piece of meat on a string, but it didn't break when they were cooking my order. Stay away. There are way better places.

Placed my order with only slight problems, the guy taking my order had a very strong accent which made it hard to understand what he was saying. The delivery guy was prompt, but when I took everything out of the bag they had given me something which was most definitely not lo mein. I called to let them know they had got my order wrong and they informed me that that was in fact their lo mein. The guy on the phone proceeded to yell at someone else in the shop in chinese while still on the phone with me, said they were closed, and then told me that he would come by the next day to "show me how to eat it". I will never be ordering from here again, they were absolutely rude, had no customer service skills, and the food was definitely not good enough to excuse it.

Great food, wish they offered some more obscure items, but hey what they do, they do well!

Decided to order Chinese food and have not established a favorite yet. Had picked up a menu that was left out front, which was from Golden Dragon. Ordered Kung Pao Shrimp, Hunan Beef, Szechuan String Beans, and Vegetable Rolls. Except for the rolls, these are all on the spicy side. I was very happy with the food. It was hot, had a nice spice, and quite tasty. And the food came in a reasonable amount of time. The large size provides at least 3 servings each for 1 person, except the rolls since there are just two. Overall, I enjoyed the food and will order again.
