I had forgotten this place, and I don't think I am the only one. Friday lunch was a ghost town, but for a few local mids. The wahoo and shrimp tacos were tasty and a nice combo. $10 it's not cheap and your only going to get about 2 ounces of protein unless you count the beans. It did seem fresh but it still takes 15 minutes to get the food with only 10 guest in the place.

Great for lunch. I got hook on the promo on Seafood Combo Tacos. Surprisingly, they are good and worh the money. The only Mexican fast food I know that you can buy sugar sweet burros and crispy chicken taquitos. The Baja bowls are big in appetite. Olay!

Baja Fresh is a good alternative to many of the fast food options out there. I like to opt for the salads and then wish they added some butter lettuce or spring greens to their romaine. I know romaine is easy to handle and keep though. My favorite is the Tortilla Soup that comes with avocado in it. They go overboard on the cheese so if you're in love with a thick layer (almost like a french onion soup) then don't ask them to skip it. I can also appreciate the $.99 refills in their reusable plastic cups. I just don't usually plan on going to Baja Fresh in this shopping center and never have my cup with me :-(

Very fresh food and fast service. A great place to take the kids especially before a movie or something because you are in and out in no time at all.

If you want good and fresh mexican food, great portions, and a great price, and don't want to go to a sit down restaurant or a fast food style place, definitely go there. I love Baja Fresh, and do consider myself pretty experienced with Mexican food. For under $7, you can get a giant salad...although the Arundel Mills location for some reason, their portions are not as grand. However, I always get amazing service at any Baja I visit (Arundel Mills, Columbia and Annapolis), period. Their quesadillas are GREAT, guacamole great, and their fajitas are pretty much restaurant quality, just not restaurant prices.

I'm always up for going out to a Qdoba, Chipotle or other chain that serves burritos and other Hispanic dishes. However, I probably won't come back to this chain unless I'm dragged here and forced to eat it*. I don't know what it is about this place. Maybe it's the abundance of white all over the place and not enough color. Maybe it's the fact that my shrimp in the spicy shrimp burrito tasted absolutely horrible. The rest of the burrito was fine, the shrimp, not so much. I just feel disconnected eating here. *I will make an exception for their Queso Fundido. That stuff was amazing.

Two words. SALSA BAR. Enough said. The hands down winner of Mexican fast casual. Chipotle is decent but they give you a bunch of chips (charge) and then about 1/3 a small portion of salsa- gone after about 4 chips. Baja gets it right in all areas. Recommend the Chicken burrito Mexicano made enchilada style. Yum....

I love baha fresh. Today I popped In for chips and salsa... Am in love with the salsa bar! It's an inexpensive snack to grab in between lunch and dinner. The people who work here are always pleasant and it's a very clean location.

It's like Chipotle and Taco Bell had a baby. It grew up in San Diego, dropped out of the Naval Academy, started vending tacos for the late night downtown crowd from a food truck, and settled in a nondescript suburban shopping center in Annapolis, Maryland. $26.50 for 2 taco combos and a pork carnitas nacho plate, not too expensive, but expect nothing extra special about it either. If you must....I recommend the fish and shrimp tacos. The wahoo (Ono) fish taco comes fried or grilled, but I prefer fried. The shrimp taco was seasoned very well. The veggie toppings were crunchy, but I wouldn't necessarily classify it as "fresh"...maybe "fresh" has a different definition in Baja? It may be a good lunch spot, but don't make a special trip, because it won't be worth it.

For the life of me, I will never understand why people stand in a mile long line just to eat at Chipotle. Sure, I've been to Chipotle a few times, but it's never the first thing on my mind to eat. It's just okay, in my opinion. When I get a chance, I stop by Baja Fresh where the lines are normal, the food is good and the salsa bar is plentiful. The only problem is, Chipotle restaurants outnumber Baja Fresh restaurants in the area. Not to mention, this particular store front is literally at the very end of the shopping center, so it could easily be missed. I always enjoy getting the Tostada Salad, with either a choice of chicken, shrimp or beef. The salad is composed of a tostada shell filled with your choice of beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, guac, cilantro and of course your choice of meat. Always filling and satisfying to the taste buds. I get a few choices of salsas at the salsa bar, verde happens to be my favorite and I load my food up with it. The staff is friendly and the food comes out rather quickly. Ample amount of indoor seating is available and I've never been here when the line is wrapped around the corner. I would always prefer an authentic Mexican restaurant to eat, but Baja Fresh does the trick when I'm in need for a quick fix.

For a quick lunch, Baja Fresh will get the job done. I appreciate that their tacos come with cilantro and onion, but you can also order the "Americano" version with lettuce, tomato and cheese. My tacos came with a side of tortilla chips that were edible, but rather tasteless. The salsa bar is a nice touch, with 3 or 4 different salsas to choose from. They also have a variety of bowls, burritos and salads on the menu.

Pretty solid, inexpensive food here. I like it more than Chipotle, which is just meh and I will die not understanding why people rave about Chipotle. i have usually liked the burritos and the rice and beans are always pretty tasty. My family likes it too, so we will often grab a lunch here if at the Harbor Center for other reasons.

I think the only thing "fresh" at this place is the name. It's certainly not any of the food. The Missus and I cam here for two reasons: 1) we had a gift certificate someone gave us and 2) it was close to the movie theater we had just come out of. They had this big ad for their new shrimp burrito. My mistake was not asking what else might be in the burrito. It was cold, the shrimp was cold (as was the rest of the burrito and it had very mushy guacamole wannbe stuff inside that made it almost unpalatable. We were about the only ones in the restaurant and I can see why. The service is typical "fast food" without the taste or the warmth. The atmosphere/ambiance is pretty sterile and hiring Latino staff to give the place an air of authenticity really doesn't do the job. In this particular shopping center there isn't a whole lot of quick eateries (there is a TGIFridays but that's not "fast"). As much as I dislike Chipolte, it is light years ahead of Baja Fresh.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
