Sushi here is incredible!! I have been waiting for a place to go have sashimi and creative rolls in this area for a LONG time. And finally, it's here!! Server was VERY friendly. Definitely try the Yama Fuji House Salad, if your into sashimi. The Golden Roll was also very tasty. Pad Thai was not traditional Thai style, but still yummy! One thing they could work on is the drinks. Pretty weak and tasteless.

I think we have a new favorite sushi restaurant now that Aoi has been paved over into a parking lot. We stopped by for lunch today and sat at the bar. Great sushi, drinks, service and atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting it more frequently.

Sushi quality: I'd place them in the top 3 of good sushi places in metrowest--and we do have a few good ones. Ambiance: so so. Lots of families with young kids. Decent décor--really a good job for a strip mall location. Menu options: good variety. A place you can go with non sushi lovers and they will have lots of choices. Service: B+

Just had a very good meal here, first time visiting. Rolls are delicious (especially the Princess Roll), noodles were very good, and overall not too expensive. The service was great as well.

I have been eating Sushi for 20 years and the sushi here is amazing. I live in Ashland and have been waiting for a high quality Sushi place to open up near our house. The sushi is fresh, creative and delicious. They also put a tremendous amount of effort into the presentation. Each meal looks as if it could be in their brochure. Their cooked traditional Japanese food is also outstanding. The restaurant is brand new inside and very tastefully decorated. I also want to commend our waitress, Yoyo, on great service and a very friendly conversation. Great restaurant with a great product. I would like to keep this hidden gem hidden but also want to make sure they stick around. Well worth a visit!

We had dinner at Yam Fuji and took our young children who are 5 & 3. The service was excellent, the Mai Tai's were huge and tasty so for $8 that's a pretty good deal! The kids had chicken fingers and fried rice and we had the spicy tuna roll to start. All very good and fresh! My husband then had the Triple Crown which was served in a chinese noodle-type bowl. Again, very fresh and tasty. The Chicken Udon Noodle dish was huge and delish too. We are very excited to have this great restaurant just a 3 minute drive from our home. Southborough is very much in need of more places like this! We will definitely be going back!

We have eaten here 3 times now and each time has been amazing. The place is spotless and the staff is efficient and super friendly. The hostess Rachel was extra sweet and welcomed us like we were family. The sushi was really fresh and the Sashimi Deluxe was beautiful and tasty. The Hibachi and Pad Thai are really good and finally a great spicy General Gau,s Chicken. We needed this place and hopefully people support it!

A nice little sushi restaurant with killer mai tai's and good service. I order take out occasionally and also dine in and have always been happy at the end. They have some really nice specialty rolls and they make a delicious and strong mai tai, so watch out. Their standard sushi is good. I will leave the argument over the best sushi in metrowest to others.

We ordered take out from Yama Fuji over the phone while staying at a local hotel. The ordering process was friendly and efficient and the food was ready as promised. We chose the red curry chicken and the maki combo dinner. The curry chicken was ok with a slight hint of heat but definitely not as flavorful or as saucy as we would have liked. We were expecting the maki combo to contain the 4 rolls (tuna, california, salmon, avocado) as written on the menu. Unfortunately however we only received 3 (tuna, california and "salmon avocado") so apparently there is a misplaced comma on the the menu online. Maki combo came with a small salad which I guess is where the savings comes in because otherwise the cost is the same as the 3 included rolls purchased a la carte.

I went earlier in the year. A quick getaway without the kids. The place was crowded. That's always a good sign. Service was absolutely terrible. Slow would be an overstatement. From seating to meeting server over 10 minutes. From intro to order taking at least 15 more. Then another 20 for the food to be brought out. We ordered a chinese dish and sushi. Noodle dish gets 2 stars. Sushi 2 stars. The rice to fish ratio was that of a grocery store. Maybe it's because they were new and things are not worked out but I won't be returning.

It's hard to find good sushi in metrowest. If I'm at a sushi restaurant for lunch or dinner, my #1 concern is the quality of the food. This restaurant clearly focuses on what they serve with fresh fish and careful preparation.

My wife and I had dinner at Yama Fuji tonight for the first time (it just opened a couple of weeks ago.) What a pleasant surprise. Everything we had was delicious. The service was good and the ambience very pleasant. I had the chirashi (pictured) and my wife had a Chinese seafood dish. Both were outstanding. The sashimi was among the best I have had. I highly recommend going there.

Our first few visits here had us wondering whether they'd survive. It was quiet with just a few patrons. Not to worry. We went last Friday and the joint was jumpin' The food is good, but last Friday, the servers seemed confused and overwhelmed. My Steak Hibachi's preliminary dishes (soup and salad) were not served; I needed to ask about them when the main dishes arrived. My wife ordered the Tuna Titaki, and we were surprised when Tuna Tatare showed up. (It was correct on the bill, so WTF?). They need to increase the quality of their service. Oh, and by the way, the mushroom soup served with the Hibachi was almost as flavorless as water. This soup needs some serious re-thinking.

Asian fusion restaurant. Menu has Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai dishes. Just opened, but service was good and our Sushi was served shortly after we finished our generously sized Edamame appetizer. Southborough was badly in need of a place like this.

Good sushi, fair priced, outstanding service makes this place a preferred local sushi joint. I hope many of you readers go and support these folks who really aim to please!!!

Went there for Sunday lunch today for the first time -EXCELLENT!!!! Set back in a nice strip mall in Southboro. The "Hulk" roll was excellent and the other roll we had superb!! Udon noodles both seafood and especially the beef were great too. I agree not too expensive by today's sushi prices (see Sudbury and downtown Boston). I can't think of a sushi place this good in Marlboro or even Hudson for that matter. Great service too. Place is brand new inside with big bar and Sports TV for watching Pats. Would definitely go there again. Yummy!

First time here, it was very good. I had the shrimp and steak hibachi, and it was on the same level as Samba Framingham {very tasty) but without the grill being tableside. Will be going back!

I tried Yama Fuji last night with a few friends and i must say we won't be going back. The sushi was fantastic but everything else was terrible. The drinks were extremely weak (mai tais are meant to be strong) and the hibachi isn't even hibachi. Not only do that not cook infront of you, but the food was terrible. Veggies were mushy, rice was bland and the filet and scallops were cut into tiny scraps and way over cooked. A rare filet should not come out cut into dime size pieces and cooked all the eay through. Scallops should be served whole. I'm not one to send back my meal and leave, but that's exactly what all of us did. I will stick to Tenka in Westboro next time I want hibachi.

Everything from the Tom Yom soup to the Pad Thai was excellent. Service was prompt and attentive. Good selection of sushi and not overpriced. Maitai's were very good. The ran out of a specific rum for our second drink however they offered a suitable replacement that was just as good. Our meals came with Miso soup or salad with ginger dressing. Both were very good. I will go back again especially for the PadThai.

Took my wife for dinner here tonight, as we hadn't tried this new Southborough establishment yet. This brand-new restaurant in the Southborough Town Center is outstanding, and just what our sleepy little town needed! The interior is very classy & chic, service attentive (Jennifer), menu offers a wide selection of choices for everyone, and our dinners were of outstanding quality. My wife ordered the shrimp & broccoli, which came perfectly seasoned (unlike the Chinese places that pour on the salt), and my sushi sashimi combo was huge, beautifully presented and very fresh. The tuna tartar appetizer, topped with caviar was simply amazing. We shared a peach sake (served cold), which will be our new favorite libation. Prices were quite reasonable, so I highly recommend a visit to any sushi lover!

Tough to find great, fresh fish in the Metrowest. Fish tastes ever so slightly fishy at the end. That being said, it is better than Samba.

Went there last night ,the food was great! The server was very helpful and patient about going through the menu with my friend and I as we both don't eat sushi. We took her suggestions and had an appetizer to share and two entrees. Everything was delicious, we will definitely be back. And to the person who left the comment about the drinks being weak, you're wrong.
