awful townie pizza place- unskilled pizza with zero reason to go back. and its not even a good price- $2.50 a slice for this!? it was a bready crust with a non-descript sauce and a non-descript cheese. was cold inside the place, and even the other patrons were depressing- some office-type dweeb, and some "mom" sittin there w her 3 kids. she looked like she was sorry she had ever gotten married & had kids. the pizza was similar to dominos, minus the lousy spiciness in the sauce. if i had only two choices in the world for pizza- this place or dominos- i would probably go with this place, but it would only be a default choice. ugh!

Best pizza, great quality subs, and generous portions for the prices...customer service over the top! Best around town!

Town Pizza is the BEST pizza in town. It is fresh and delicious. The pizza slices are enormous and taste great. Their Salads are fresh and the feta tastes great. I have tried their stake and cheese and was not disappointed at all. Highly recommend it.

We picked up a pizza from Town House on a cold, rainy Thursday night during our first week in Needham. I called in the order and it was ready to go when I got there. It was a reasonable price (@ $25) for a Buffalo Chicken Pizza and salad - and we got a total of 4 meals out of it. The salad was much better than usual "corner joint" pizza places - I was impressed. And although I didn't love that the chicken was fried (I don't know what I expected), I REALLY enjoyed the pizza. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

I love the Cesar salad there. We always order and they never get an order wrong.

Ordered a buffalo finger dinner. The take-out menu described it as "4 large pieces", so imagine my face when I opened my plate to find these 4 slim pieces. Also, I don't know when exactly shredded lettuce that is added to subs became okay for a salad that can along with the dinner plate. Literally felt like I was eating the scraps from a sub which is strange because they had actual looking salads in their display case.

BEST ONION RINGS AROUND. Order from these guys all the time. They are always busy but worth the wait. Prices are good. Check them out some time.

They used to have the best steak & cheese subs in Needham. Got one the other day and some of the steak was hard and inedible in many instances. Will be going elsewhere from now on.

Easy 4-star here. I'll come out and say that I don't get pizza at any townie pizza place - I only get pizza at Papa G's or Santarpios (quite the range, I know). With that said, this place has tons of great stuff besides the pizzas. I usually go with a good old fashioned steak and cheese sub. They give you a large portion of shaved steak, but I've noticed that it is very "seasoned". Similar to buying Steak-Ums and putting a ton of salt and pepper on it while you're making it. Nicholas' Pizza, which is about a mile up Highland near Not Your Average Joes, has better tasting steak, but they don't over-stuff it like they do here. All the dinners are good - steak tip, Gyro, or any of the pasta ones. But lately, my favorite thing in the world has been their "Grecian Roll-Up". This is the best Greek salad wrap in the world. The reason being, it is mostly chicken and very little salad! I'd say 80-percent of this thing is big chunks of grilled chicken. The rest is feta, Greek dressing, tomatoes, onions, and a TINY bit of lettuce. Definitely the manliest wrap I've ever had. As for the service, the other reviews are right. Always wicked friendly, and they recognize familiar faces. My orders have always been done in 15-20 minutes. The interior is small - maybe 8 booths? But I live 2 minutes away, so I usually just bring everything back. There are a few street parking spots, but if you're coming during rush hour, be prepared to get beeped at by all of Needham if you hold up the light to attempt to parallel. There is a shared light behind the restaurant. All-in-all, definitely one of the local places I go to the most for quick dinners or weekend lunches.

I was lucky enough to get a slice that had just come from a pie that came straight out of the oven. Usually, heated up slices do not taste the same. The slice was relatively large for the price. I think it was $2.38. The pizza here is about the cheese and the strong flavor of the herbs from the sauce. It's very cheesy, and so the pizza is a bit greasy. As mentioned in previous reviews, the crust is definitely lacking. It's a semi-thick crusted pizza and the bottom is soggy, not crisp.

Town House Pizza is A-OK. I was visiting my brothers in Needham, MA, and they live 2 blocks down the street from here. I ran over for a quick bite and was impressed by their big menu selection. Tons of pizzas, subs, sandwiches, salads, plates, etc. It's a classic little pizza joint by Boston standards. I ordered the meatball sub, it was really good. In fact, I'd give the subs a 4-star rating (I saw others go out, and it seems like other Yelpers agree) but the pizza is only fair. My sub had tons of sliced meatballs, they seemed homemade, and were tender and very flavorful. Lots of oregano, onions, pepper flakes. The sauce also had a nice bite to it, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the bread rightly toasted. Flavorful and filling, a great quick bite for about $6. A couple days later I had a slice of pizza that my brother brought home from Town House Pizza. It looked sub-par, and tasted sub-par. Boston has some AWESOME pizza joints, and you could drive another mile or two from here to find one of them. I like a thinner crust and this was a bit too thick for my liking. The pepperoni wasn't the best I've ever had, but I didn't hesitate to eat the pizza anyway. Next time I go there I'll stick to the subs. Also, the guys working there are really nice. They look like they work hard, always with a smile, and they don't skimp on toppings for your pizza/sub.

My family has been coming here for the last 20 years, even though management has changed a couple of times. I have to give it 5 stars because there's a reason we don't go anywhere else in town for pizza and subs. We've grown tired of the generic tasting Domino's and Pizza Hut food, and we prefer the pizzas that come from the Mom and Pop style stores. That's why we choose Town Pizza. You can tell in the pizza the quality of ingredients they use, that each pizza seemingly is made just for you (and I don't mean that in just a customized order way, it's the personal service they give the pizza). The staff has always been friendly and just like a local pizzeria should, definitely get to know the neighborhood and form a loyal base of customers. They have, and are in my opinion, Needham's best pizza.

The pizza here is just okay. Nothing special but nothing offensive either. The subs are good and the Grecian Rollup is very nice. DO NOT order a salad! You cannot even tell the difference between the chicken and the tuna salad. They look exactly the same because the fish or chicken has been pulverized, a huge quantity of some mildly offensive mayonnaise type product added and the whole thing turned into a runny mush. The pita bread that accompanied it was dry.

Solid pizza, good salads. Nothing fancy but good and reliable.

I wouldn't use the word love if I didn't mean it, but this is another place I love. I come here often and my favorite part besides the food is how after even a month or two I will come in and they recognize me and ask where iv been and how iv been doing. It's very sweet. They have some boom pizza and a mean Italian sub ( always with the hots), and chicken salad sub ( although always ask for light lettuce if you want lettuce)

Probably the best pizza from a pizza shop in town. A couple restaurants have better pizza. Their pizza can be a little greasy and leaves you thirsty after. But it is a very tasty pizza to eat and enjoy. Sandwiches are very good and the fried foods are good. Salads are boring ice berg salads and their garlic bread is lame. It's a house of pizza and as house of pizzas go this is quite good.

People giving the pizza more than 1-2 stars must be high or drunk. There is nothing remarkable about their pizza. It's greasy Greek pizza. If that's your thing go for it. It's just like every other low grade greasy pizza you can get anywhere. Better pizza joints in town are kostas, sweet tomatos and cowlicks (though the manager is a jerk)
