For a pick up burger joint this place rocks! The bun is always the right texture, I can't stand getting a soggy bun. And the meat is always perfectly cooked, no dry hockey pucks to be found. Highly recommend on those days when you need a burger fix.

Blah. It was pretty average. We were waiting outside in the freezing cold for minutes until we were even acknowledged by the cashier, who was on the phone taking an order looking directly at me. Rude. The veggie burger was just ok. Pretty dry. The fries were good. I'll stick to the Harvard sq. location from now on because the food there seems fresher.

The cheese slid off my burger while I was eating it... in the wrapper. REALLY? Eh.

Absolutely awful service. Ten minutes after ordering a simple vanilla shake I had to knock on the window and ask where it was - apparently all of the six employees working there forgot about it. Took forever to be acknowledged at the order window too, even though several employees didn't appear to be doing anything. I'll stick to other locations from now on.

The Frequency at which I eat Burgers would average out to about 2 times a year - literally. Sometimes i have to remind myself when was the last time I had a burger? So having said that, given that I had the same burger from Tasty Burger at Southie, for 2 years in a row since they opened - is an achievement of sorts! 4 stars without the blink of an eyelid. Again, never had a sit down at this one. Always take out. So this is all about their Spicy Jalapeno burger! So so good. So Good. So Good!! There isn't a thing that I don't like about this burger. The trick really is in the spicy cheese sauce and of course the roasted Jalapenos. I am a sucker for anything flaming hot and spicy. Now I never expected this burger to be flaming hot to be frank. Let's be honest - it's a burger after all. And I don't think despite my innate ability to experiment with different kinds of foods and their textures and flavors, I am a big one to mess around with a food that I eat once in a blue moon - especially a burger. And so when it comes to burgers, I am extra careful. This easily has to be my most favorite kind of burger I have had in Boston. Thanks Tasty Burger for the same! And finally, I have to commend them about their onion rings. Again, another kind of side or appetizer that I have once in a while. Their rings are fried just right and are quite all right I must say. I must mention that I finish the rings before I start chomping on the delicious burger because I don't want any other flavors to intermingle with the hot jalapeno flavors from my burger. Again, So Good! On a side note, that electric delivery car of theirs is zipping around in Southie almost always. Clearly they are a big hit with home delivery. Good for them! 4 stars because I don't see having anything else but the Spicy Jalapeno. Leaving it for the other Yelpers to decide for the rest of the menu. World Peace (waves - TGIF)!

I don't know why I keep trying... Every time, I decide to go to the window to place my order which I always end up regretting. The people that work inside seem to have no idea what customer service is or value anyone else's time but their own. Even the one time I went for an ice cream cone, it took about 10 minutes of waiting at the window, watching the three employees (kids?) chat and goof off together instead of doing what they are paid for. It's annoying. The manager has been there before and seems super nice, but maybe he should be there more often to babysit/train some of the workers.

I love me a tasty burger. I get delivery often and they are normally fast. Fries are crispy and very salty but still good. Burger meat is much better quality than almost all other fast food chains and their chicken nuggets are also pretty good. I certainly recommend this place for "fast food" - Quit messing up my deliveries! I'm taken off a star for my botched order. The first time they messed up but came back w the right burger and refunded me, it happens. The second time I ordered a lot of burgers and 1 shake. Didn't show for over an hour, claimed it got mixed into another delivery order. Resent it, and finally 2 hours after my first call got some tastyness... but not my friends shake and no refund.

Their burgers are pretty great -- especially the mushroom burger! The turkey burger is my favorite, but the Southie location seems to have taken it off their menu.

OMG Tasty Burger is better than the lobster in Boston! Let's face it after you've had a Tasty Burger why on earth would you ever wanna go back to lobster. Remove the Red Sox logo and replace it with a TB because this is what Boston's all about. I have no need to dribble on how delicious the burgers are because if your not having one, then kiss my a$$. You have no idea what your missing and I can't associate with you. Cheers!

Tasty Burger is good as it gets if you need late night burgers. The L street staff is always on point with their orders. My only issue is it can get pricey. About $40 for 3 bacon cheeseburgers with fries...but worth it every once and awhile.

I'm shocked by how many bad reviews this place has :/ I've only had the food from this place twice, but they have both been great experiences. First time: We were at Carson beach and ordered food for delivery. They came promptly and the food was still warm. It was cooked the way we wanted (three medium well and two medium rare) and tasted just as good as the other tasty burgers we've had before. Second time: We drove to the location to order food. While we were waiting for our food under the shaded awning, the manager offered us all free ice cream and made friendly small talk. Despite being a large order, everything was ready in under 15 minutes. Overall the burgers and customer service were awesome and above average. HOWEVER, I was disappointed that there was no seating and that the onion rings got soggy because of all the steam. tl;dr: good burgers, good French fries, soggy onion rings, no seating, friendly workers, fast delivery, free ice cream, fast service= would recommend

Another terrible experience- very frustrating! Have only been a few times, every time the order is not only incorrect- but WAY off. The workers are not helpful at all and act like they don't even care! What ever happened to customer service??? Never going again! Can we please replace tasty burger for a better establishment?!?!

I tried the Tasty Burger's South Boston location for the first time on Tuesday, and I'm quite happy to say the place lived up to and exceeded my expectations. The cashier was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Big Tasty, well done with large fries on the side and a vanilla milkshake. I received my order in a little less than ten minutes, and the food was great. I'll definitely be coming back here again soon!

This location is perfect for a spring day when you and your office buddies are craving a milkshake in the seaport area... What? We can't be the only ones!! We drove down, jumped out of the car, ordered way too many milkshakes, and were back in the office with plenty of time to spare. The girl working at the counter didn't even flinch when we put in such a large order and helped us with a smile the entire time. The milkshakes hit the spot and were nice and thick (the Green Monster also has a scoop of chocolate chips in it!!). We'll be back for sure!

You get zero stars! Screwed up my order for the second time. How hard is to make a Gorgonzola burger? Where is your quality control?!

    (1)
  • Tracey L.

So aggravated with the service! I ordered a burger for lunch, I waited 20 minutes for a cold burger that was sitting there because the guy behind the counter to me my order # was 96 and the actual number was 10. Maybe he s/b washing dishes if he cant get the number right. Wasted my lunch and $11.00 for nothing, I won't be back...

My Tasty Burger experience tonight: So on a Sunday at 8 PM, I walk up to the window to place my order. I am told that: Shake machine is broken, they are out of Chicken patties for sandwiches, and they only have chocolate ice cream because the vanilla is "broken". Interesting, never heard of vanilla being "broke" Anyway, I order a chili dog with onion rings, a coke and two chocolate ice cream cones. I literally waited 20 minutes for a damn chili dog and onion rings! The annoying part is that the kitchen had about 5 workers, yet somehow my order takes 20 minutes for a hot dog! By the time I get home, I had two melted cones, a bland chili dog, and soggy onion rings. If this was the first time I had a bad or mediocre experience here, I wouldn't give a one star rating. But this has happened a few times to me. Adios Tasty Burger! Never again... you lost this customer.

  • Cara M.

I love tasty burger but the service is consistently subpar for a place that is just doing burgers and fries. I normally do pick up and always end up waiting at least double the "10-15" minutes that I'm quoted on the phone. Then yesterday I place an order for delivery online and they give me a wait time that is over 1 hour! Which would have been fine except that my burger and fries didn't show up til almost 2 hours after I placed the order and then they were completely cold. I want to love this place but they clearly have some operational issues they need to address.

    (2)
  • Emily L.

Dont love their burgers. They arent even open late either. They would serve better as a late night snack.

  • Nick F.

Their chili cheeseburger is amazing. Order online and pick up, you won't be disappointed.

Burger was good! Unfortunately the wait was a little long so my burger wasn't as tasty :( I waited so long I started to get hangry!!

I'm a west coast snob when it comes to my burger joints. I like to evaluate and consider whether it provides the simplicity, freshness and price of an In-N-Out Burger, the toppings "The Counter", or whether it's burgers the amazing quality of an Unami Burger. This local chain automatically loses a star as a result because in every case the answer was no. . If you haven't heard of these places, they're the business in the metro LA area and they are my gold standard when it comes to evaluating a burger joint. The burgers are adequate. It's much better than a burger you'd find at a fast food joint, or a sub shop. I'm not too sure how it compares with the burger joints across the city that are popping up. I'd definitely say it's better thah that NJ based chain that I find highly overrated. I've been to the Fenway location. This is the first time in Southie and my first review of Tasty Burger. I like the space much better at Fenway, but this doesn't effect my rating. It's a very small space, but you should be aware that if you want to sit down and eat at here, you can't - unless you want to use your car, or break n'enter into someone else's. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and I thought it was good, but nothing memorable where I'll find myself craving another in a couple of days, and driving out of my way for it. I found the fries over-salted to the point of the potato being more a salt-stick. Maybe the fry guy was medicated with the prescription drugs that say, "please don't operate heavy machinery" or maybe he wasn't. But If I was, I wouldn't necessarily be applying salt to french fries, and my memory from the Fenway location was that the fries weren't salty. So I'll chalk it up to a heavy-hand due to medication. The service was okay but nothing memorable. The burgers are decent but nothing memorable. I'd be curious if anyone out there has any favorite local burger joints I could check out. Ping me with them if you'd like. I'd definitely go back if I'm hungry again and in the area.

First time going to this location and I am very satisfied. The burgers were amazing and the service and management are definitely great. I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants a delicious burger at a great cost. I will be back for sure for another great experience.

This place would get a zero for delivery time, but the manager was very apologetic and quick to be helpful. I really wasn't expecting that kind of service from a burger place, but it was refreshing... And this was my first time ordering from here as well. She def gets 5 stars for customer service. (Friday night)

This was my second trip to Tasty Burger and both times I was underwhelmed by its service and food. First time asked for a veggie burger with no onions and cucumber, all I got was a veggie burger with a wilted piece of lettuce - BORING! You would of thunk I learned my lesson, wrong! Second time ice cold fries and the cashier was more eager to go on a smoke break than wait on me. Never Again!!!!

    (1)
  • B K.

Burger was satisfying but nothing I would go out of my way for. My husband liked their chicken a lot but the fries were a little overdone. It was quick, friendly and filling but I wouldn't go back with so many other great burger options.

Been here two too many times. Both times I ordered we received the wrong burger. Fries are over salted

  • Chrissy H.

Okay. So. I have my burger and fries in hand, delicious. Yum. The workers, no thanks. I gave the benefit of the doubt to the girl working (with blue hair) because a) it's Sunday, and b) it's football. I've been here numerous times and I felt like I needed to write a review tonight. Every other time it's been pleasant. Please, tasty burger, get nicer workers. If not, you're losing customers.

    (1)
  • Erin B.

I'm not sure why people hate this location. Sure, it's only a stand, unlike the Fenway location which has a bar and tables; but it's still the same great food. People complain that the take-out service is slow, but it's not a fast food joint. They're making your food to order! Now that there's warmer weather, there are several picnic tables outside. They also deliver (never tried). I would suggest calling ahead to place your order if you're starving because the food can take 15 minutes or so.

    (4)
  • Maria B.

Tasty Burger has good burgers. I usually get their fries with chili and cheese as my meal. This review is for their customer service. I had an issue with my order today and the manager went above and beyond to refund me. Thumbs up for customer service. My order also came way quicker than I expected.

  • Erin Y.

It pains me to write this because I love the Fenway location, but come on, guys and gals running this shop - I'm standing outside in the cold because your burgers rock, but your speed and customer service could use a tune up. We placed our order at 4:56PM (photo take of receipt for proof - to be attached if possible). We were served our food at approximately 5:22PM, after two parties behind us who ordered more complex orders were served first and when we showed our receipt it turned out our order had been hanging out on the counter for about 5 minutes cooling off (which, even then, is still about 10 minutes longer than it should have taken to be served anyway) and we were met with a blank stare and no sliver of acknowledgement of the mistake or semblance of an apology. This isn't factoring in the 4 minutes we stood waiting to order before this whole debacle. Sorry, kids, I'll do the full sit down show in Fenway next time.

Veggie Burger ordered wound up being a hamburger. Onion Rings were burnt to a crisp. 'Salad' was a hot dog box stuffed with lettuce, a couple slices of cucumber and a few onion strings. No dressing, not even a fork.

Embarassingly, Tasty Burger is now part of my life on a weekly basis. They make a really yummy veggie burger, and then they slather it with some creamy sauce and jalapenos. That is right up my alley. THEY ALSO USE VERY MINIMAL PACKAGING! THIS IS GREAT!! THANK YOU! I am not able to find nutrition facts- my tune may change after reviewing this, but for now, it's great.

I had to update my review after two years as they have significantly improved since the first week they were open when I first reviewed Tasty Burger. I'm a bit of a milkshake aficionado, and I would have to rank these very high and they're way above the standard delivery shake available in Southie. Delivery has been very quick lately ($3 fee), and I thoroughly enjoyed the Gorgonzola Burger I had tonight. Only down side I see now is they are a little on the pricey side, and the $3 delivery fee is a little ridiculous.

I got married in Boston in June, and wanted a substantial lunch before the ceremony. My parents live a block from this Tasty Burger and my mom suggested we order here. So my maid of honor called to place an order for the seven of us in the bridal party, and the owner/manager answered, asking how her day was/what she was up to. When she mentioned she was in a wedding, he treated us to lunch and delivered it to us himself. Our hair and makeup people had just left, so while we were all dolled up and waiting to get dressed, we enjoyed a delicious and thoughtful feast of cheeseburgers and fries.

  • Tara T.

I really like the burgers and fries here however the customer service is hit or miss, more on the miss. I have called and gotten the right order a few times but I have called and gotten either the wrong order or no order at all more than the times they have gotten it right. The last time I called for delivery, gave my order, after an hour called again and someone confirmed it was on its way, 30 mins later called again and it turned out they actually mis-placed my order completely. They repeated my number back to me when I called so they could have called to tell me they mis-placed what I wanted, but instead they just never told us and never brought our food. We had to order from else where.

After going to (and loving the hell out of) the Tasty Burger in Fenway, I was hoping my Southie experience would be the same... but it most definitely is not. I've been to this location twice, and both times were a disappointment. Sure, the food tastes the same, but the location is awful. I wouldn't mind the fact that there is no indoor seating here, but there is no seating whatsoever even outside (not even a bench). When it's busy, street parking is impossible, so waiting for your food requires you to drive around a bit, or park illegally. The menu is also very limited as compared to the Fenway location - no beer, no cheese fries, and about half of the number of specialty burgers and dogs. It's completely a night-and-day comparison between the Southie Tasty Burger and the Fenway location, which is a shame.

    (2)
  • Dan D.

The service is inconsistent and sometimes you have to stay on hold for quite awhile before placing an order. It's also not cheap here and they give you a different burger than what you ordered every now and then. With that said the location is outstanding and the food is delicious.

    (4)
  • J T.

Worst service ever! They say 10 mins then they make you wait in the cold for 45. The staff is unpleasant and unpleasant to look at. Not friendly, not organized. Never going again and telling everyone to avoid at all costs. Worst service ever. These people should be ashamed. But then again, that's why they work there

Burgers seem to be steadily declining. My jalapeño burger resembled a McDonald's burger with jalapeños. Waited standing outside for 25 minutes. It's November now and I stood outside for TWENTY-FIVE minutes. Food is definitely not worth such a long wait, especially when I get the exact same quality in 90 seconds at McDonald's drive-thru.

    (2)
  • Tom F.

Love it when I can get it but this location is so inconsistent. Tonight they ran out of veggies burgers and they stopped serving turkey burgers. Burgers look and taste different every time. This ownership group does a great job at their other restaurants just lots of inconsistencies at this location.

Manager of this store is OK in my book after explaining WHY he didn't have ice cream because apparently nobody but a few bruins fans buy ice cream/(the machine was acting up/superstitions are legit ya know!) This place has got great cheese fries, hot dogs and the awesome butta burger.

Alright the shock and awe of a new burger shack has dissipated ... now after sampling the establishment a few more times there's a couple of problems in the execution. One.... the call in order is a mess. When we went to pick up our order, our food had been given away to someone else.... who was just down the street sitting there eating. Tasty Burgers solution: Go track them down and ask for the food back... what really happened after some complaining and turning down their plan b (which was to offer up the peoples food that was never picked up) was our food was made...again. Two.... when leaving and telling hte people eating our food that they picked up the wrong order those people said 'oh I know a girl that works there she gives me free food all the time'. Not to nark out the employees to management but stop giving people's food away. Its one thing if it is a no-show... but when you give away my food that i paid for (and hadn't signed the credit card slip), you are messing with the wrong burger enthusiast. Three...even after ordering pick up a handfull of times... i still never know which window to go to... and everyone seems annoyed when i knock on the pick up window for attention. Your burgers are delicious, your fries are salty perfection, but you are slacking on the execution....

first thing i said was please no onions. so they give me a burger with only onions. so aggravating. obviously i shouldve checked it but come on how hard can it be?? no onions means no onions....or so i thought..now not only do i have onions that i have to pick off and the burger is contaminated for allergens sake but also i get no lettuce, no tomato. came here out of sheer convience but i will not be returning i will give my money to a company that listens to my order and gets it right. tasty burger more like greasy burger.

Delicious burgers and absolutely exceptional service! I was in the bridal party for a wedding and the bride wanted to order some burgers to take off the edge before her walk down the isle. We called and they were incredibly friendly and after hearing about the wedding, told us the meal was on them -- and even threw in diet cokes for all 7 of us because "all girls love diet coke!" It really made the day that much more special and fun, and I would highly recommend checking this place out!

I've been here 3 times several months apart and it's been an absolutely awful experience each time. Poor service and long wait times seem to be what they strive for here. On my most recent (and last) trip I ordered only fries because I was starving and I figured it would be quick. After 15 minutes I still didn't have my fries and was then told that they'd given them to someone else. No apology, no "thanks for your patience". The cashier just casually said that they'd given my order to someone else as I stood there waiting. It's truly amazing to me that a restaurant could be this incompetent and apparently have no interest in improving the situation. I guess it's my fault for continuing to go there- it won't happen again.

They had an issue out of their control that prevented them from delivering. Refunded my card and gave me my next order on the house.

In full disclosure, I may have had a couple of beers before I ended up at Tasty Burger. Ordered the Hubba Burger... And wow. Seriously good flavor and would definitely suggest stopping in. Nice addition to Southie.

As a devotee of the Fenway location, i was quick to lead my (now former) office to the new Tasty Burger location down the street in Southie for deliciousness. The good news is, they've upped their game as far as takeout is concerned; i'd always found that a lot of their delicious products didn't survive the three block walk home, but now they've got better wrappings for the burgers, a way to provide cheese sauce for fries short of a tinfoil house, and it all comes out of the bag a lot better. Being forced to be takeout only definitely has helped in this regard. Favorites like the Butta Burger and the Hubba Burger are still awesome via takeout. The downside is, a lot of what i like about the Fenway location is being able to have a beer or two, being able to sit in the old gas station with the garage open and enjoy their friendly (if sometimes overburdened) service. From what i understand, they're pretty constrained by their neighbors in terms of what they can do in Southie, but i'm pretty sure that a picnic table or two wouldn't keep people up at night.

The burgers have been pretty consistent (in a good way) but the service has been even more consistent in a bad way. Most recently I walked up to the window while there was literally no one else around; although there were about 7 people working in the place, not on person opened the window for a bit. Then all of a sudden a girl from the other end (like 3 windows down) opens the window and rudely yells out "it'll be five minutes" and slams the window shut....forgiving her rudeness we waited it out and then a few moments later another woman opened up the window and mentioned they were having computer issues and only working off one at the moment...fine! I get that it happens, I appreciate her heads up and just brushed the other woman's rudeness off.... So, we order and wait. Ten plus minutes later we get our food and we notice there were fries missing. So we tap on the window and the younger woman who was nicer-er before opens and we tell her what's wrong. She leaves the window open and screams down to the first women who's at the other end of the store saying that we are "Claiming we are missing a fry"...then turns to us and says we must have ordered wrong. Then all of a sudden the women from the back (same rude lady from before) yells out so loudly "tell them they should be more clear when they are ordering then and they wouldn't have this problem!" I felt like I was at one of those restaurants where you go to get burgers and you play into the mean waiters. It was like the twilight zone; I felt like they were pissed anyone was there buying their food. It was seriously weird.

Thursday June 12th, my girlfriend and I were walking across Broadway in the crosswalk in front of Rite Aid. As we were walking across, the light on L and Broadway had turned green and the TastyBurger car came hauling ass through the turn and had to have been doing at least sixty miles an hour. He sees us in the crosswalk and SPEEDS UP, so he doesn't have to stop before we cross into his lane. As he's barreling through the crosswalk, he looks at us and shrugs his shoulders, as if to say "oh well, I don't have to abide by the law". I yelled "slow down, jerk". He slams on the brakes, looks back and yells "fuck you" and speeds away. Red headed kid, black rimmed glasses and a grayish T-shirt. I walked over to the Tasty Burger to ask to speak to the manager and was told he wasn't available because he had to take his girlfriend to the airport. The girl at the window was pretty understanding, and I left a note explaining what happened and my phone number, requesting the manager give me a call. This happened four days ago, and still no call. Tomorrow I'm calling corporate. I also got the email address of the nice lady who was walking her six year old son and didn't appreciate the driver using that kind of language in front of him. I'm sure she'll be happy to confirm the whole incident.

1.) what your eyes may see: A nice White Castle of a building that served food outside. 2.) Food: I ordered a hamburger. It was good to know that my burger was cooked medium. It reminded me of Mooyah burgers in Hartford, CT 3.) Service: Waited, outside, while a man in a mechanic jacket with the company's logo on it, shouted out order numbers to the customers. It was interesting. 4.) Impressions: Typical cheap burger spot with okay tasting patties.

My experience from this past spring: Both the service and the product (maybe just the way it is prepared) is WAY BELOW AVERAGE. The male manager/shift supervisor with glasses purposely skipped getting our food out, because we asked shortly before it came out where it was, because we had waited so long and he was extremely rude/confrontational and left us walking away feeling really crappy. We didn't think we paid money to be treated like crap and retaliated against, but we did. I SUGGEST TO YELPERS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE IS SULLIVAN'S AT CASTLE ISLAND!!!!

Best burger in Southie. Hands down. The wait is never too long even if they have line. Service and food quality are both excellent. Staff are both friendly and helpful. Bacon cheeseburger with Chipotle mayo and nuggets are my favorite!

Tonight was my first and only time ever going to Tasty Burger in Southie. We've been wanting to go for months and tonight when my roommate suggested milkshakes I gave in. After waiting for 20+minutes for what I believe to be the simplest order they could possibly receive, 2 milkshakes and 2 fries, I finally went back to the window at which point I got the response "uhhhh oh, hmmm. hold on" another 5 minutes later they brought our order to the window, and it gets worse... this simple order that we waited forever in the freezing weather for was wrong! Two milkshakes and 2 fries turned into 4 milkshakes and 1 fry. How this occurred I have no idea, but we were so cold we couldn't wait any longer and just took them and left. That being said, the milkshakes and fries were delicious, but the service unfortunately is not on the same par.

Yikes this food was bad. It was nice that we could call ahead and order and just go pick up our food but I was not impressed at all. The fries were pretty good but I didn't even finish my burger it was so bad. I'm just going to stick with Five Guys next time.

Their slogan makes 2 claims; (1) "tasty" burgers, (2) delivered "fast" to your door. My 2 burgers and fries costed $25 including a ridiculous $5 delivery fee. It took the "MixMenu" delivery service over 2 hours to make it the 5 blocks to my house. The food was ice cold, mushy, and dripping with condensation. The buns had reverted to pre-baked liquid batter status. MixMenu says "it's busy tonight"... busy on saturday night? i don't see how a delivery company could be expected to foresee an eventuality like that and put a few extra guys on. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF PAYING IN ADVANCE IF MixMenu IS DELIVERING YOUR FOOD FROM ANYWHERE!!!

I came here the other night and got two cheese burgers and an order of fries....NEVER AGAIN..it was my first time getting something from them and it was awful. I asked for my burgers to be well done and they were completely pink to the point that it was barely edible. Poor customer service skills and they just ruined my experience completely. Don't get anything from here, I hope the other locations are better but I doubt I will try them because of this experience.

so, it was my birthday and before the hubby and i went out for our own dinner , i thought i'd try try try tasty delivery again for the kiddos...i got my order in right at 5p and this time the confirm email said delivery in 45...i had hope...25 minutes later the burgers arrive! i remembered this delivery person and was so happy to see her b/c my food only comes fast when she delivers it! (no tiny tasty car in sight). turns out she's the general manager and she wanted me to be a happy tasty customer (my yelp had been brought to her attention). I appreciate this grand effort and that she said she had made some changes re: delivery...and the kiddos liked their hot burgers. I am adding a star...tasty is currently on a good trajectory...(to be cont'd...)

Best burger in Southie by far..... Kahuna Burger and Jalapeno are my go to favorites. Have also heard the veggy burger is well done. Also: Shakes are good They have fro-yo although I have not tried it Take-out only One Saturday night a crew of Southie scumbag high school kids camped out on the gas stations stoop and eye-balled anyone without work boots on. Hopefully the police can clear up that situation soon.

Mmmm mmm How's it taste MF?! Greasy as all hell, in fact my bun turned to mush before I even had a bite...it was sure tasty though!

Great fast burgers. The Kahuna burger ( pineapple, grilled red onion, teriyaki sauce) is a must try, it truly is "one tasty burger". The fries are pretty good but the drinks are really small. The Spicy Jalapeno burger (spicy cheese sauce, roasted jalapeno) was spicy but lacks flavor. One of the best thing about Tasty Burger is that it is a fast food chain that allows you to order your burgers rare. No seating at this location, walk up / pick up window only.

I have been to Tasty Burger in Fenway and loved it. I have been hesitant to try the location in South Boston, down the street from my house, due to the bad reviews on Yelp. Well, we tried it today and I'm sorry we've waited so long. We both got Crispy Chicken sandwiches and fries and they are good! I got the BBQ and it's really tasty and the fries are nice and crisp. I ordered over the phone and it was ready when I arrived 10 minutes later. The girl that took my order over the phone and had my food ready at pick up was nice and friendly. We'll be going again.

I always thought Tasty Burger was over-rated after a few trips to the Fenway location. Uburger is much better in my opinion. I decided to order from the Southie location on a lazy Sunday since they advertise they deliver and I wanted something other than my usual delivery choices. They DO NOT deliver. A 3rd party will deliver for a $5 fee with a minimum order of $15. I can get delivery from any restaurant if I want to pay a 3rd party to pick it up. The difference is, those restaurants don't advertise that they deliver. I hate when companies lie in advertising. Hence the 1 star.

Do I miss Boathouse Ice Cream? Yes. Do I love Tasty Burger? Yes. Are these two issues reconciled? Yes... With their DELICIOUS shakes.

Looking at the other reviews, I guess your experience depends on who's working that day, but my boyfriend at I went for lunch over the weekend just cause we were in the neighborhood, and the guy who took our order was SO NICE. Really friendly and put a smile on our faces, and made sure to get our order right. They were out of the sauce I wanted on my burger so he threw in an extra soda. I mean COME ON this is the Northeast, nobody is that friendly and nice! Also the food was perfect for what it was. Big portion, "tasty burger" and good vibes.

The difficult part is that when they actually get the order right the food is pretty good. Good burgers and dogs. The only reason I go back is because it's a block up the street from where I live. However the service and attitude associated with this place is literally the worst I have ever experienced. They screw up just about every order and when you express any voice of disdain or disapproval in your experience the punk rock staff will give you a snarl and an eye roll that will leave you fuming with anger. A couple months ago they screwed up 2 orders royally. I actually called and complained and the friendly manager called me up and said that the next meal is on them. When I called back to claim my meal I was put on hold for 15 minutes, they refused to honor it and would only provide a $10 comp unless I came down to speak to the manager in person. They just don't get it, and it's astonishing that with all the bad service reviews the manager still allows the surly employees to keep their jobs. It's honestly never ending with this place. My wife and I went to get ice cream one night and the ice cream machine was broken. There is always an obvious air of frustration with the customers waiting for missing or neglected orders while we watch 7 employees standing around inside the shoebox operation. This place needs a serious adjustment and the only way it's going to happen is when people stop going. Personally, I'm done. As I write this, my wife came home with our $10 comped order and she said they gave her the wrong flavor milkshake and there are pickles on my burger when I asked for no pickles... See ya Tasty Burger

Just tried Tasty Burger for the first time. I had high hopes for this place. Friends rave about the Fenway location, and it was replacing the boathouse which was my favorite local ice cream spot for the last few years. Since opening Tasty burger has been drawing a large late night crowd. Now I know why, you have to have been out drinking all night to actually enjoy the food. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink. All burgers come medium unless otherwise specified. Unfortunately mine came out well done. It was dry and tasted like grill char. I could smell how over cooked it was as soon as I opened the bag. The fries were awful, and tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in months, which is weird because this place just opened. I am in no way a picky eater. I was just hoping for a good, greasy, delicious burger and some fries. I was highly disappointed. The only pro about this place is the affordability.

After frequenting the Fenway location for almost 2 years due to the consistently GREAT food, affordable beers and free pool I was excited to hear about the pick-up style Southie location earlier this year. While it is a bit larger than a hole in the wall, it still offers the same great food for the money. I swear, I could be addicted to the fries here because they are almost always gone by the time I unwrap my burger. The other options are very good as well, especially the turkey burger. I had never tried one and decided to go out on a limb recently, I was very pleasantly surprised. Milkshakes are top-notch as well. The service is what is to be expected at a joint like this, it's not the Capital Grille after all. I have never had an issue with service at either the Fenway or the Southie location. Generally it's a quick, no-nonsense, here's your food, have a nice day type deal.

I was looked forward to trying a Tasty Burger at the Southie location. This I did last Sunday October 21st. I could not have been more disappointed. The Bacon Cheeseburger was dry with absolutely no taste, juice or moisture. How is that possible? The vanilla shake was tasty. Perhaps I caught them at a bad time I don't know. But I won't be returning. Walburgers and Five Guys are far superior.

A surprisingly good fast-food like burger. Get the Big Tasty. A traditionally prepared burger that's so good I have yet to try another one of their burgers. Fries are okay, thin and crispy. The soft serve ice cream is decent, but the milkshakes are the way to go!

Food was delivered ice cold. Took over an hour to arrive...to a location down the street in Southie. However, the manager has offered to create a better experience next time, and I am inclined to give them another shot.

I don't know what it is, my friends love this place, but i just don't like it. The burgers are too greasy as are the french fries, that nasty yellow cheese, blaaaah. I'm an In&Out burger type of guy and that's probably for the best since it's west coast and Tasty is down the street from me keeps me from becoming a fat bastard

Fenway location is a great late night option and delicious. Southie is neither of the two. They need to get rid of the goons they have working there and higher some people with service skills.

Great burgers and fries, and a wonderful alternative to the fast food joints. As someone with a vegan diet, their veggie burger is hands-down the best available in Boston. My family enjoys the 'Tasty Burger', the mushroom burger, and the kids meals. I really wish they would have a better online ordering system as the one they have is through facebook, and is available only on certain browsers and on certain devices. It's very convenient for me to place an online order and stop by on the way home to pick up dinner, but not when it's not working. Overall, great food, good prices!

Have to say I love having a burger place that is not Burger King in south Boston . It amazes me that a place that used to be a small ice cream shack is now a fully functional burger shack. My wife has had the veggie burger which she thought was great ( I have never had a veggie burger and hope never to have one,one of my life's goals). Fries are good, burgers are great, really they actually are tasty! They have a daily special each day on their website. We tried the taco burger, interesting but not great. However their normal burgers are great, although I must admit haven't gotten through everything on the menu. Would love to try there burger and hotdog challenge. However my wife would never let me!

Burger was a bit dry and flavorless, fries was even more plain than the Burger I rather go to burger king or McDonald

I've been to Tasty Burger on L Street in South Boston 5 times since it opened. They have a kids menu and my children (ages 9 and 11) both LOVE the burgers here. The kids burger meal comes with a drink, fries and burger for less than 5 bucks. My kids who have been having Kelly's Roast Beef burgers for several years even think Tasty Burger is 'way better than Kelly's". WOW!!! that's a huge kids burger review coming from a 9 and 11 year old. LOL. The employees have always been super friendly and helpful. The one thing I was surprised to see was a 3rd party delivery service a few weeks ago on their website. The delivery service charges almost 2 times the actual price. I would suggest they not even offer these prices as it makes you a little sour paying that much. Or offer a delivery job to many unemployed folks at this time of year that would appreciate a delivery job. You can also CALL AHEAD to order instead of waiting in the long line.

So so so disappointed! We were super excited to try this place out after seeing it being worked on for the last few months. Burgers were supposed to be medium and instead they were raw in the middle (and cold). Milkshakes are sub-par. French fries were the only part of our meal we liked. Hope it gets better, we were really wanting a great burger place in Southie!
