Lobster and clam bake for $26. That's damn cheap in my book. Lobster was a good size as well, clams were pretty good. Minus 1 point for the online menu differing from the actual menu. The one drink I ordered was $10 bucks, I guess they make their money on the booz and not the food!! They offer small plates, so there is a lot to choose from.

Absolutely fantastic. I had bought a groupon for the restaurant, so me and my roommate went to check it out. It is in a great location, and its very cute. We went for dinner. Together we got clam chowder and a caesar salad, both were supper yummy, but I found the salad very good and I am not a big salad person. We both got the burgers, which were huge and amazing, one of the best burgers I have ever had, and the presentation of it was absolutely adorable. We also got a side of the mac and cheese, which was also very good and came in a cute pot like bowl. We decided to split a desert, all I remember was it was chocolate and it was yummy. overall, highly highly recommend. The food is so good, the service is friendly and attentive, and overall just a great place to eat. When I went it was pretty empty, but I cant tell you why except maybe the weather.

We've had numerous meals here, as well as drinks. Everyone is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, the drinks are well made. A well run establishment.

I was swayed by all the amazing reviews on Yelp to try out North 26 for Restaurant Week winter 2010 and was utterly disappointed. The food was NOT good. The only exception is their grilled calamari, which was actually as good (if not better!) than the reviews say. It was not at all rubbery and the grilled preparation was an excellent change from the usual fried/battered kind. All the good ends there. Everything else was just not good. I asked for a specific fish entree but with another entree's sides and the waiter said 'no problem!!' The entree comes, but the side I wanted was missing. I asked about it and the waiter said, 'oh, we'll bring that to you on the side!' It never showed up. I didn't feel like asking again. The dessert pear fritters were oily, had way too much batter, and was tasteless. I would not return, which is a shame because the calamari was so good.

I took my Dad for lunch on Saturday, and we were both extremely pleased. They do have a small outdoor patio, but we chose to eat inside. There was a great al fresco feel because the front windows slide open - perfect for a sunny, but slightly cool day. The room was decorated with warm hues - simple, yet elegant. Everything we ate was delicious! They have a nice specialty cocktail list (I had the Milennium which was champagne, Stoli Raz, and cranberry juice). To start, they bring over bread and butter, and we also tried the calamari appetizer (grilled over fried polenta moons and a tomato relish). For my meal, I had grilled chicken breast with lemon pea risotto and grilled veggies. The chicken was so juicy and tender, the risotto was unique and yummy, and the veggies had a nice crunch to them. My dad had the corned beef reuben which came with a small basket of fries. He said it was tender and had a great flavor. We were pretty full from our meals, but opted to try 2 desserts - the S'mores and Coconut Cream Tartlet. Both were amazing and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend the S'mores which came with blackberries as garnish and was a toasted marshmellow on top of melting chocolate cake and homemade grahams. It was ooey goeey deliciousness! This is a great place for all occasions!

Great place. Barbara had the $19.95 1.5 pound lobster dinner which she said was fabulous. A woman at the next table also said it was the best she'd ever had in Boston. I had the blue fish special which was excellent. We went back again tonight and tried the mussels, a Caesar salad and some of the $6 small plates. Great. Also competent and friendly service. We ate all three of our dinners in Boston at this place. Also great for breakfast.

Quite pricey. The food was so unimpressive that I don't even recall what dishes we had. Believe me, I can describe every pro and con of taste and consistency of most dishes that I've had. It was a bad decision to walk in here for dinner. No wonder it was completely empty...

Nice meal with a client. Lamb was done perfectly. Service was impeccable. I was a little put off by the cigarette smoke smell that seemed to be lingering...to the point where I asked if we could be in a no smoking area,...and the hostess said "you are"... could have fooled me, but I have an amazingly sensitive nose...both a blessing and a curse... so it could have been wafting off a waiter or patron who might have just come in from outside....regardless, I was a bit put off. As for the wine list...good - not great. As with most wine lists, drinking wine far before its time and replacing one vintage with another and calling it the same, charging the same and being relatively uninterested in whether the wine is ready to drink continues to be a pet peeve of mine. With some wines it's not even the same blend of grapes from vintage to vintage... what gives? Oh well...off that and back to the restaurant - I'm a fan - mostly for the food and service.

The seafood pasta, pizza, and a clam chowder are great. It just pricey because we are there in the hotel and too lazy to go outside. Otherwise we can go get the same food at cheaper price in Fanueil hall.

Okay, did you know Bottomless Mimosas are illegal in BOSTON?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It's a crime, brunch just really isn't brunch without bottomless libations. I wish I could give the whole state one less star for this. There were decent reviews for this place on yelp so my friend and I tried it out. It's right next to the cute fruit market and in a Hotel so a good locale for tourists like me. I shared a Challah french toast with my friend who got the three eggs meal. The portions were pretty good for the price. It had been a really cold morning, so there weren't too many people out and about nor in the restaurant which made for a pretty quiet ambiance, different from the brunches I'm used to but not bad. Oh, although it doesn't say on the menu the coffee was bottomless... but coffee is no mimosa

I absolutely loved North 26! The atmosphere was lovely and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We went on Valentine's Day and the place wasn't that busy but I attribute that to our late dining time. We started with the Boston Clam Chowder, which was excellent. I ordered the grilled steak that was cooked perfectly. I didn't like the side options but they were able to switch them for the yummy gouda mashed potatoes and some asparagus. My boyfriend had the grilled swordfish, which he really enjoyed. Overall, it was a great meal and our waiter gave me a rose at the end for Valentine's Day which I thought was really sweet. I'll definitely go there again!

Just finished off Resto Week at North26. What a great find this place is!! I'm so happy I tried it out. The service is great and professional. The wait staff reminded me of waiters in France - pros who really know what they are doing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I went with a friend we both started with the Lobster Bisque which had a great consistency and loads of fresh lobster meat in it too. Great start. I had the Grilled All Natural Angus Hanger Steak with Potato-Leek Cake, Grilled Asparagus, Plum Tomatoes and Chanterelle Mushroom Sauce. The steak was done perfectly at my requested medium. often I find I get it too rare, this was just right. The Potato Leak cake was delicious. and it also came with broiled tomatoes. The sauce was a little strong for me, I had meant to ask for it on the side but forgot - my error there. It was delish but I prefer just straight steak. My friend had the Scallops and Ravioli. She kept saying how delicious it was, she was definitely happy! For dessert I had the Apple Tart with Cinnamon ice cream - WOw!! a gorgeous little individual french apple tart with a nice tasty crust and one of my faves - cinnamon ice cream. Really good!! My friend had the chocolate lava cake. She loved it. This place is a gem we plan to visit again for sure. It's a great location and was practically empty at 7:30 PM. You get to watch the Faneuil Hall madness outside but the windows - lots of them- are totally soundproof. The tables were nicely decorated with little candles and little metal vases with two dark pink calla lilies. The hotel is impressive, the lobby is has a little library area and the restroom was huge and spotless. I'm so glad I found North 26!

I came here for dine out Boston bc I wanted to try somewhere new. I was so disappointed. I ate at the bar. The atmosphere is actually nice. The restaurant itself is very pretty. First off the drink I got was not good. I had two sips and didn't drink anymore and the bartender charged me for it! She told me when I come back next and she's working my next drink would be on the house. Really? My next drink? Lobster bisque was great actually. I ordered the scallops. When it came out I didn't realize I was getting two entire entrees on one plate. I got 4 scallops in a bed of ravioli. Then once we were done eating but the plates were still in front of us a nice gentleman brought us our dessert. What made it awkward was that the bartender snapped at him. Dessert itself was the worst part. That's usually the place where a restaurant can redeem itself. I got the worst blackberry cobbler. I think I could get something better in a frozen section of a grocery store. It was sticky like syrup and there was barely any crumble on top. You can say that's the first and last time I go there. I actually regret eating there.

I thought the lobster lunch special was great! But the only thing that made this review 3 stars was their service. It was plain horrible. The guy would never ask how we were doing, forgets things we ordered(not many customers at all), and never said sorry even after they dropped a plate onto the ground from our table. Honestly in my opinion (because i have worked as a waitress as well) the waitor just needs to learn a little more common sense when serving customers.

3.5 stars for my Dine Out Boston experience (aka Restaurant Week). North 26 is located at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel just beyond the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Though I was the 2nd party to arrive for lunch, three additional groups came in shortly thereafter, and we were all given seats by the window facing the street. The rolls arrived warm and soft inside beneath the crisp crust with some nicely softened butter. For my two course Restaurant Week special for $20, I selected the Lobster Bisque with fresh Lobster and Crème Chantilly and their Roasted Gulf of Maine Swordfish, Zucchini, Tomato, Basil and Olive Tapenade on Lemon Risotto with Haricots Verts. The bisque was light and creamy with a decent amount of cubed claw meat, though some pieces were a little tough. The fish was a good portion at about a half inch thick, and perhaps one of my most healthy lunches of late as it came topped with a nice pile of diced vegetables. However, I shamed the clean plate club as I couldn't finish the creamy risotto. Service was pleasant.

What a fabulous brunch! No reservations needed. Fantastic fresh ingredients in my omelette. They must make their English muffins on thepremises. My g/f got The corn beef hash and eggs over medium. She raved about it. I was able to enjoy hot, looseleaf tea. Our server was charming and efficient. I can easily see this becoming a go-to place whenever I'm in the area.

Yes, I came here during restaurant week but it was not at all busy. The menu was pretty good except they had one online which was different than the one in the restaurant, but no biggie. I think they still honored whatever was online too which was great. I got their pheasant dish with sweet potato gnocchi. It was a very interesting dish with a lot of flavors and textures going on. And the portion was huge which I liked. I can't describe the flavors, but I tasted some thanksgiving in there. It was pretty good. The service was excellent from the bar staff to our table service. At the bar, our home made potato chips were never empty (oops) and the bartender was friendly. Plus, it was really comfortable! Most bar stools are very uncomfy. The table was great and the service too. For the dessert, mine was taking a long time for some reason so our server was very apologetic and offered to buy a glass of wine for the wait. I couldn't drink anymore but that was a really awesome gesture. And...location. Pretty easy to get to, but afraid that there may be some influence on certain aspects of the place due to its proximity to Quincy Market area.

Best Lobster dinner deal in town! $20 can't beat it! Clam Chowder, Corn, Potatoes, and of course, 1.25lb Lobster. Four stars for our server who was attentive, friendly, and gave us a tip on getting around Martha's Vineyard! Thank you my friend.

We dined here on a recent trip to Boston and were very pleased with the food, service, atmosphere, and overall dining experience. Our waiter was very attentive to our party of six, and gave helpful descriptions of the menu items. I ordered the swordfish with Mediterranean sauce on lemon risotto, and it was out of this world! Others at the table had halibut with peach & plum compote, and the jumbo sea scallops. Everyone was raving about their meals and all of us remarked that the portions were extremely generous. I noticed that at the table next to us, two people were having the lobster special that included corn on the cob. Their portions were generous as well and we were shocked to learn the lobster special was only $20! Overall it was delicious, a great value and a memorable evening. Highly recommended.

My fiancé and I just got back from having breakfast here and it was amazing. Without question this was the best breakfast meal I've ever had. Tenderloin steak and eggs cooked to perfection along with the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. Our sever Guesh was so nice and even made us iced coffees since that's the way we roll. By all means if you have a chance to get here sometime for breakfast be sure to ask for Guesh as your server. Thanks so much!!

We stumbled upon this place before a Bruins game, when everything on Canal St was busy. What a great find!!! The Salmon is delicious!!! I have been here 4 times now, and it's never disappointed me. Usually the margaritas are killer too, although it depends on the bartender. They were not as tasty the last time I went. It's a bit pricey...if you go out with another person and each have a few drinks with dinner and dessert, it'll run you $150 or so with the tip. We'll be back however, because it's a solid place to eat!

Fabulous! !!!! Amazing service and I was a few minutes late for breakfast...still got served and holy cow it is great. Quite possibly the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed at the Millennium Hotel, so we had lunch here before leaving to the airport. Big mistake! The food here was so terrible! .. Should have taken a clue from the fact it was empty all weekend. We had the lunch combo (soup & sandwich) - the clam chowder was very watered down and the lobster roll was not only miniature size, wasn't tasty. We also had the Lobster Bake special - disgusting! The chowder again, was extremely watered down, came with just a raw plain boiled potato, and the lobster was full of disgusting black stuff - intestines, poop, eggs.. Who knows, who cares just don't bother eating here, there are so many other good choices nearby.

We loved this place! I mistakenly wrote a review of it for the hotel. We "took a chance" on their $20 lobster dinner recently. Well, we loved the whole experience. The 1 and 1/4 lb lobster with clam chowder, corn, and potatoes, good butter, and excellent rolls proved a fully satisfying meal, just as good as at The Palm for maybe 1/3 the price. Great barkeep, Cat, and excellent, fun server, Deanna. Attentive young manager, Ryan. The cocktails were first-rate. We went in early, like 6:30, on a Thursday night, and this may be an advantage. It began to get pretty crowded around 8 with still only one server.

We stayed at their hotel and it turned out to be convenient to eat here for lunch. When I asked for bacon on my burger the waiter came back and told me that they'd have to charge me SIX dollars for bacon on my burger. I'm sorry but I'll go out and buy a freaking PACK of bacon for six bucks... No thanks. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to throw two slices of bacon on the burger.... Maybe they have magical pigs of great value in the kitchen... Hmmm. Anyway my waiter put two slices on the burger and added 50 cents which is totally cool... Even a dollar fifty would have been okay. So yeah the burger was okay nothing to rant and rave about. The waiter was very nice and the check was too expensive for my liking.

You'd think a AAA Four Diamond-rated hotel "signature restaurant" would at least have tablecloths. But nope, it uses outdated place-mats that look and feel more like non-slip shelf liners. Food was just meh; nothing to write home about, nothing to entice a return.

Expensive but great. Their margarita is awesome, strong! They're burgers are great! The only thing is their calamari was greasy. But overall great experience!!

I went to this restaurant for dinner but not by my first choice! I wanted to eat at Quincy Market but I got there too late and just decided to eat here because it was close by. I decided to go for the 3 course menu. For appetizer, I ordered the saffron broth with grilled garlic bread mussels. I thought the mussels were really good! I really enjoyed the appetizer. The portion was really generous and the mussels were cooked well. For my entree, I ordered the swordfish entree with fruit compote. The swordfish was a little bit on the dry side and the dish as a whole lacked flavor. I thought the fish was overcooked. For dessert, I ordered the cheese sampler. I was not interested in any of the dessert option, so I ordered the cheese sampler to pair with my wine. I believe that the cheese was the best course out of the 3 courses that I had. I really liked the honey that they provided for the cheese. It really paired with the wine that I ordered. Since it was their 30th anniversary, they were having a special for their wines. It was $30 a bottle. I tried the chardonnay and I thought it was pretty good. It paired well with my courses. My server was a little awkward. She interacted with my friend and me in a weird way. Every time she passed by to check up on us I just felt a weird vibe from her. After dinner, I wanted to go to the restroom, except there are no restrooms in this restaurant. You have to walk outside the restaurant and use the restroom at the hotel next door, so I think it is really inconvenient.

On my first morning in Boston, I didn't yet realize you could get a quick cheap breakfast at Quincy Market (I'd been under the impression the food court didn't open until 10, as indeed most of it does not, but there are some breakfast places on the west end). Anyway, so I ate at the hotel restaurant instead. Uh. The food was actually quite good, but far too expensive. Just for a one-time visit.

Boring! No or low music, bar tender was more interested in cleaning then tending... I asked if there was some nibbles/snacks and he said the kitchen was closed after i turned down the soft chips he gave me... It was 11pm on a Saturday and the bar closed at 1am... CONFUSED!! Why and how are they still open?

2 and 1/2 stars is my real rating, but I can't do that OK, So Fancy breakfast is hard to value. I was in for breakfast last week with a party of 6 (2 children) for a mothers day breakfast. we made a reservation and were happy with our choice as we did NOT want an over the top brunch (we made a reservation) The good: we were seated at a lovely table by the window overlooking Quincy marketplace, Faneuil Hall, the staff was exceptionally polite and the space was beautiful. the Food quality: eggs over easy: excellent (based on the color of the yolk, very very fresh) "home fries": served with eggs. Meh. waffles w/ fresh fruit: excellent french toast: OK omelette: an overcooked fried egg, with under cooked veggies a bit of lobster and cheese... someone should show the chef a video of julia child making an omlette smoked salmon Benedict: tasty with excellent presentation house made hash: fair. kind of flavorless and mostly cubes of house-cured meat with loose potatoes. these entrees were 12- 16 dollars side of bacon 6 coffee 5 the coffee was excellent as was the cappuccino. home made English muffins: fine, but it's kind of like Ketchup, I would prefer Hines (Thomas) in this case the bad: the food is fine, and while the servers are exceptionally polite, a breakfast like that ought to come out at the same time. I shouldn't have had to wait for my eggs long enough to watch my son eat 1/4 of his large waffle. I should not have had to remind a server to bring the extra English muffin that my son ordered! I should not have had to ask for the extra order of turkey bacon that my other son ordered When I asked for cream for my coffee the server should not have brought me milk. I know they look the same but with $5 a cup coffee, service is supposed to be perfect. buying breakfast foods like these in restaurants like this is tricky. IMO you are buying real estate as much as anything, but even before food quality, service is being purchased. I don't blame the waitress, I know she wrote it down. there is a breakdown somewhere in the chain of command. the HRTA grad who is managing this place as his first job does not have skin in the game like the owner of the diner. . And; as has been more true than not, hotel restaurants usually don't give a crap about their morning meals because they have built in clientele and are only providing that service to further the room rental business. I also surmise that the A-team was on for dinner the evening before, and the bench warmers came in for breakfast. but, the coffee was outstanding and we had a nice time,

We went in for the $20 lobster dinner and was very impressed with the freshness and quality of food, it certainly far exceeded my expectations. The corn was crisp and sweet, potatoes and chowder were just as tasty! Fresh lobster is a winner! Very friendly wait staff and attentive. Great deal for the price point!! I highly recommend this dinner feature.

While staying at the Millennium we decided to have breakfast at North 26 restaurant which is attached to the hotel. The service was prompt and the food was good, but in the bill ended up being a little pricey. My wife had the lobster omelet, which was full of pieces of lobster and stuffed with a mild goat cheese. This was served with a side of potatoes and a homemade English muffin. I enjoyed the bowl of steel cut oatmeal, which was quite large. The oatmeal comes with brown sugar and raisins, but no toast. Little did I know that when I was asked if I would like some fresh fruit for my oatmeal it would be an additional $4, but I should have known better. The coffee was good and strong and our meals arrived promptly. While it was an enjoyable breakfast, I have a hard time justifying $50 for an omelet and a bowl of oatmeal.

My girlfriend and I didn't know what to expect. The service was excellent and we were both very satisfied with our appetizer, the Wild Mushroom Ragout, and our entrees, the Haddock and Pork Chop. I'd recommend this place to others. And the pricing was reasonable.

We stay at the Millennium every trip we make to Boston so we frequent North 26 often, mostly for drinks. This time we decided to enjoy dinner at the hotel one night. My parents had the Lobster tasting (which many people are raving about and I will write on their behalf, it was done very well and was delicious). I was not super hungry and the menu did not thrill me much. There were about 7-8 choices and no specials. We started with the Popcorn Shrimp which isn't usually my favorite, but it was really good with an asian dipping sauce. I then had the Clam Chowder, Mixed Greens Salad and the Tuna Tartar, everything was very good, nothing above and beyond, but tasty. To celebrate the 30th Anniversary, they were offering $30 bottles of wines which Mom and I split, Pinot Noir, and it was really good. The restaurant is small, the crowd is hit or miss, bartenders are OK. one olde gentleman seemed to be in some pretty terrible hip/knee pain and could not get around easily. Poor choice for a Saturday evening. The Small Plates - two sliders and french fries were really good! The sliders were prepared medium rare, juicy and not tough....probably the best sliders I have ever had. Bonus points for that! Breakfast was just as middle of the road as dinner. Prices are pretty high for eggs and toast, especially since they don't do anything crazy with it. If I'm paying $4.25 for a glass of apple juice...I want to see crystals floating in it!! Eggs Benedict was good, poached eggs on canadian bacon over english muffin (I substituted wheat toast) with home fries, $14. It was ok...the plate of condiments (small room service type bottles)...the jelly and mustard were previously opened and USED. Pretty tacky if you ask me, that most certainly got minus points, disgusting. If you're going to offer the small bottles, be prepared to waste a slightly used bottle and not give it to someone. Give it a try...see what you think. UPDATE: We frequent the bar before heading out to dinner (usually across the block to Hillstone, formerly Houston's - make a reservation). We have our usual waiter Fernando and he's been there close to 15 years. Great guy. We recently had dinner here and it was really fabulous. It took a good 2 hours for 3 of us to eat but we weren't in a rush so no complaint there. We have also had breakfast which is a bit pricey...I can see an overpriced steak or burger, but charging $10-15 for eggs and sausage is a no-go... but it's not the Holiday Inn.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 for a badass lobster dish. We came to North 26 with a groupon (seems to be the theme here), and enjoyed our meal. The North 26 lobster tasting is a great dish and one worthy of sticking your restaurant name on. I received a huge lobster, more lobster than I've ever had before in this price range (they advertise it as 1.5LBS). Prepared 3 ways, each way was unique and delicious. Tails are grilled, claws are beer battered and fried, and the knuckle meat is made into a scampi with a delicious red cream sauce. I was extremely full half way through this dish and regretted eating an app beforehand. I had to leave a few bites of lobster there was so much (this is a good thing). I have to say this is a really rich and heavy dish compared to how many other places prepare lobster. My wife had a grilled NY sirloin which she enjoyed, which I thought was just pretty good (hard to compare to my lobster!). We really enjoyed the popcorn shrimp app as well that had a unique chili dipping sauce and came over a seaweed salad (great combinations in this plate). Location is a homerun, right next to fanueil hall with a bunch of tourist traps and cheap eats, this place actually serves quality food. Service was good, constantly checking up on us, including a visit from the manager. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this place, but that lobster dish is pretty damn good and makes north 26 a worthwhile visit for any lobster fan.

Randomly wandered into North 26 for Saturday brunch. We had brunch at the Quincy Market food court the day before and wanted something nice/better. We were seated inside, but got to enjoy the sunshine and people watch without the unpleasant heat. I ordered the Vegetarian Benedict. At first, it looked like there was too much butter on the English muffins, but it tasted great with spinach, asparagus and eggs. Perfectly poached eggs, and these guys sure know how to make a good hollandaise sauce. Home fries had bits of caramelized onion mixed in - yum! My sister and dad both enjoyed the Bostonian Benedict, but the slices of Canadian bacon looked a little wimpy. I wouldn't call that thick cut. My husband ordered the Three Egg Omelet, which was a pretty legit and filling omelet. Even though this restaurant belongs to Millennium Hotel, the brunch foods were priced very reasonably. Lovely space, attentive servers, excellent food.

After Mike and Patty were out drinking the night before and closed for the weekend, I was pissed/hungry to find a breakfast place. Had no idea I'd end up at Quincy Maaaarket (Boston accent). I Yelped "seafood omelet" and this place had one for $19 thank goodness. While I had hoped for good service on my last Boston dining experience, North 26 did not come through. Omelet, pancakes, and fruit were solid, but my service was like snow in the Sahara Desert....NOT THERE!

This spot is right in Fanieul Hall and the only reason why I ended up here is because my gf said.. let's go to a bar pronto.. with all the Irish dive bars around and all the St. Paddy day kids out and about.. we decided this would be the most acceptable. I can only comment on their calamari and drinks. The calamari was middle of the road. More greasy then crisp... needed to be fried a tiny bit longer. Plus, they don't serve it with marinara.. they serve it with.. mayo. Yuck. They did bring us the marinara but we had already gone through half of our calamari at this point. The drinks were good and strong... but I was looking for something a little girlier since I had just gone out the night before. I got the pear martini... but maybe I should have gone with the St. Germain cocktail. Great place to people watch... watch the drunk kiddies outdoor. Don't expect attractive bartenders or cocktail servers.. not that this is the reason why you would go to a bar.. but it's nice to go to a nicer place and be served by somebody hip and cool.. not older. The crowd is older.. so I guess it all makes sense. This is the restaurant to the hotel upstairs.. which I also never knew existed.. so you learn something new everyday. And... Apparently if you go to the Aveda salon next door.. you can get their food served there. Never seen that before.. but that's cool. Multi tasking.

Let me start by saying there is (A) no way I would have ever seen this place if my attention weren't drawn to it. (B) I never would have gone to this place if it weren't for a Groupon. Place is a bit expensive for what it is, but it was pretty darn delicious. Especially their lobster and their steak. One memorable this was the Uruguayan waiter we had, he was super sweet and very very good to us. I'm not gonna lie, I probably won't come back here, it really wasn't memorable enough, but I suggest you give it a try it was a plesant experience.

This place is in a great location: right outside of faniuel hall. Yet for some reason the layout and setup of the whole joint feels really awkward. Maybe because its on a butt end of a hotel. Something just rubbed me the wrong way about it. Overall the food was pretty good, I had the steak and my girlfriend had the salad, and the service was competent. Still these are things that I felt I could get elsewhere for the price and quality. When your paying over $100 for 2 people you really want to feel like you got your money's worth. I walked out feeling that something was missing. I think it was the atmosphere and lack of people in the place. It just made it feel cheaper than it was

No. The risotto was so bland - my farts have more spice. Not worth the $$$. The server was really great though. I felt for her - the bar was tragically slow. She spent the evening apologizing to tables.

The food is always amazing but I am partial to the cheesecake! Opps on my part for reviewing my first meal with the hotel so see the Millennium Bostonian. Out for a celebration, my lunch mate and I enjoyed the cool dining room overlooking the hot summer day near Faneuil Hall. My haddock was hot, not over cooked, light and fluffy. Served with a double order of asparagus I could splurge on the dessert. This was my third try of the chef's cheese cake and I have loved all of them. The sweet potato one was yummy and this one was awesome as well. However, this one came with an unusual surprise...Carmel and choc swirls looped around the polished white plate with a single cheese cake. With a piece of bacon??? Yes, bacon dipped in a hard coating of sweetness. It was like a breakfast pop. Sugar, toffee like, and salty all in a pop. Who says you can't have breakfast on a stick. This questionable decor was just the right touch to the smooth creamy and rich cake. Mmm. The Pineapple upside down cake served with Coconut ice cream was delicious too. Again, a bit of a twist. An individual sized light and fluffy cake with a slice of pineapple topped with a dollop of ice cream that had a batter of coconut. It had been deep fried to give it a hard shell and crunchy bite. The ice cream did melt fast but we had fun cutting and splitting the shell.

Can't really go into much detail regarding the food...but the cocktails were spot on. I had enjoyed one of their Manhattans with a special Bitter selected by our charming bartender ... certainly a sheik spot with a wonderfully skilled hostess as well. The girl escorted me to the bathroom! So kind ... yea i know what you're thinking ... but for me, when it comes down to service, it's all about the little things ...

We stayed in the hotel upstairs and decided to get some breakfast one day here. Hearing about how amazing the English Muffins were, I had to get something with those. Amazing! The Bostonian Benedict was outrageous! It was like 2 homemade english muffins with a hollandaise sauce that almost tasted like a lobster bisque. Loved it! The smoothies were great too. Had no clue this place would be a great place to start the day.

The North 26 is located inside the Millennium Hotel in Boston. I only had breakfast here, you would think the food should be good then, right!?!!? Nope, I think the best part my breakfast was the coffee, and the sourdough bread. I had an omelet that was very dry and did not taste good at all.

I proposed to my wife at this spot. It was opposite the corner where we said we love each other years before. I had come here 2 previous times, both with her. It's attached to the millennium hotel. I like taking my lady to this spot. It's upscale, great location and the food (steak) and cocktails are great.

Came to North 26 with a restaurant(dot)com voucher, which our server was very gracious about. (Pro-tip: the restaurant(dot)com ones allow you to purchase alcohol but the Groupons don't.) When we went they were offering a $30 prix fixe dinner menu and a selection of $30 wines for their 30th anniversary. The wild mushroom phyllo appetizer was great, and the mussel appetizer was perfect and generous enough to share. The swordfish entree with fruit compote was good, but the star of the show was the duck breast entree. Don't miss the duck! The weak point of the meal was the apple crisp dessert. It was undercooked and tasted microwaved. It seemed like a strange afterthought tacked on to what was otherwise a well thought-out menu. I'm not taking off a star for it, though, because when I mentioned to our server that the dessert was not as good as the rest of the meal, he took my comment very seriously and offered to make it up to us with coffee or drinks gratis. I was worried about the service after reading a lot of the reviews, but either we went on an "on" night or they're trying to turn around their reputation, because the service was quick and we felt almost *over* attended.

We dined here over the weekend and everyone had about the same opinion. Good but could be better. There was a noticeable scent of cigars from the cigar bar next door as we entered but our overall thoughts on the atmosphere improved as we got to our table next to the windows. The waitstaff were good except we did have rather odd interactions with our waiter. He was inclined to give his opinion on my handbag and that of one of our guests. It was also apparent that he was Jonesing for a tip as he hovered a few too many times. At one point, it was as if he was going to join in on our conversation. Odd. Ok, so the food - each of us dined on small plates, apps and wine and I have to give the chef kudos for the lobster bisque. It was stellar. Everything else was good but, like the overall opinion of North 26 - good but not great. Prices were higher than expected. Three stars seems right and I guess we'd go back for drinks on one of these nights.

I have never had any other meal here except for the brunch, but it was fantastic. I had the eggs benedict and my husband had the omelette. The potatoes are amazing! Service was very good, they were very welcoming, and we had great people watching views. The food was good sized portions and wasn't even very expensive. Will definitely return!

The place was aiiiight. I've been wanting to try it for a while now, and its always on my list of possibilities for my favorite week(s) ever - Restaurant Week. But I finally just came on a normal ol' day. The food was good, not great, and its a little pricey for a normal ol' day. The place is really nice though, I wish it was busier; it might have gotten busier after I left though....because I ate during the old people's dinner time. I will have to give it another try! ...someday *review posted a year after initial draft..ooops

This is definitely a cool place to come if you want to throw on a pair of heels and drink a specialty cocktail. The decor is jazzy. You can eat in the front bar area with all of the businessmen who are drinking at the bar. (Hey Sailor. Buy me a drink?) Or you can head to the back to the more formal dining room, which still isn't terribly formal as it is basically a room filled with cozy booths. The coolest part is definitely the red wine cabinet. It stands about 20 feet tall and has one of those cool rolling ladders that is reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. North 26 has a new chef and I was able to sample some of his new menu items. The lobster risotto was perfection. There I said it. A salty, creamy, cheesy, lobstery confection of culinary perfection. I tried the ribs, which I would not order again, too salty, and undercooked. The calimari and the popcorn shrimp were also a treat. (The best part of the calimari was the tangy dipping sauce. If you are ordering the shrimp ask for the tangy sauce instead of the bland sweet sauce that the shrimp comes with). The mussels are rustic and serve as a great appetizer. Service is attentive, and the waiters moved seamlessly throughout our crowd clearing dirty plates and bringing us new beverages. (Warning! The beer list is lacking!) I am dying to go back to try this candied bacon that I have heard about. If you are going out in the Fanieul Hall area, this would definitely be a great place to start!

Came here with a Groupon on a quiet Thursday night. The food is average...definitely not on par with the upscale service and atmosphere. One of the beer battered claws in the lobster tasting has that clear, whitish interior shell in it...not cool. A rule with fried food is that everything contained within the breading should be edible. The pork chop was a nice cut albeit a tad salty. The short rib appetizer tasted closer to pot roast. Would have been a three star experience but near the end of our meal, the computer system crashed. After waiting for 20-30 minutes for them to fix it, I ended up having to go to an ATM to get cash so that we could go home instead of sitting there for the rest of the night. The place has potential - but some errors cannot be overlooked.

My friends and I came here for restaurant week. For the appetizer, I had the tuna tartar, which was eh. For the main course, I had the grilled swordfish, which was HUGE. It was more than plentiful and pretty delicious to boot. For dessert, I went all out and picked the Nutella cheesecake, which is to DIE for. I also sampled my friends' Boston Cream Whoopee Pie and butterscotch bread pudding with ginger ice cream. They were both very good, but it was like stepping down in sweetness, so it was hard to compare after starting off with something so sweet like the Nutella cheesecake. Everyone agreed though after trying each other's desserts that the Nutella cheesecake was the best if you're a chocolate fan...I also sampled my friend's lobster ravioli, which is VERY generous with the portions. Everyone also loved the popcorn shrimp. We were seated by the wine rack since there was about 9 of us at our own table separate from the rest of the dining area, which was very cool. We also took pictures by the cool wine rack. :)

Went here with 2 friends with a $50 dollar groupon. We were hopeful that this place would be good, but sadly, the night was marred with bad food and bad service. We walked into the place and a very friendly hostess sat us. OK, good start. The server comes over and is immediately surly. We ask for the wine menu and he brings some bread. As we reach for our napkins, we all notice that none of us have forks. Ok, no problem. We ask the surly server (SS) when he returns and ask for some forks. We tried to order a bottle of wine, and our SS says that he does not have that bottle. He just sold his last one. Yeah, seems odd, but ok. My friend tried to joke with him about what he was going to do for us and SS snapped back that he would do nothing. We just ordered another bottle of wine that he had. After this start, we decided to try a couple of the small dishes. We ordered: Deep fried calamari- Really soggy and chewy. Lacked seasoning and taste. Tuna tartar- Was ok, but also lacked seasoning and chip things it came with were not crispy at all. Short rib crepes- These were decent. Nice flavor and presentation. Due to the poor service and poor quality of food, we decided to skip the entrees and just get 2 more small plates to get us to the $50 dollars for the groupon (no discount on booze in MA). We then selected popcorn shrimp and crab cakes. Both of these items were ok, but they took forever. The place was only 30% full and it was disappointing that we had to wait that long. We were contemplating just walking out. As the server was taking away the dirty plates, he dropped the dirty knife and it landed on my shirt. Sadly, I was eating one of the few decent items, the bread and butter, so it left a nice stain on my shirt. I understand that accidents happen, but no apology, or anything. I could not believe it. Needless to say, we could not get out of there fast enough. It is sad, because they have a nice location, but food and especially service was a disaster.

I got taken here on my birthday for restaurant week prix fixe, and I had a great time. The staff was courteous and attentive, even if the food service was slow. Here's the rundown on food: Lobster Bisque - not the best I've ever had, but delicious to the last spoonful. Seemed like some pretty good chunks of sweet lobster meat, and while the bowl was small, the portion was perfect for me. Salmon w/Fingerling Potatoes and Asparagus - what a sauce! No idea what it was, but it totally made the plate. The salmon was cooked PERFECTLY, I only wish there was more of it! Plate itself wasn't quite enough for me, but I enjoyed every bite. Boston Creme Pie - well, I would say the pie wasn't all that great, but there was a candle and a little "Happy Birthday" chocolate on the side, plus a good number of staff came out and sang happy birthday. Can't hate on that, even if they were doing it for a tip. It's my own damn fault for ordering 2 scotches at 12 bucks a pop, but the drink was as I asked and wasn't diluted. Plus, it was my birthday, so I didn't have to pay! Come here! Atmosphere was great, food was delicious and waiter was really nice. Well done folks.

Groupon kicks ass, and so does North 26. I got $50 worth of food for just $25, and the atmosphere was elegant, the service attentive, and the booth so deep and comfy, that I almost bounced out of it right onto the floor. It was perfect for us after a chilly 20-minute walk from the waterfront. And let me tell you -- the swordfish melt sandwich is phenomenal. Grilled to perfection and placed between a buttery warm brioche roll with fresh mozzarella, pesto, sprouts, and tomato... This was one of the best sandwiches of my life. And it's only $14! I have plans to come back many times. I wouldn't bother with the salad that comes with it again -- super oily. I'll try the fries next time. The drinks were ok. They didn't have the mint for the mojito I ordered, despite existing right next to Haymarket, and the lemon-blueberry martini was all right, somewhat overpowering with the lemon. I loved the three blueberries on the cocktail spear, however. You know when you lay in bed at night, the food you've eaten dancing in your thoughts, that you've found a winner.

The lovely Skye G. set up an UYE here, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to try out a place that I would ordinarily disregard. I don't have a lot of experience with hotel bars and restaurants, and the little experience I have isn't very positive. However, our time at North 26 definitely changed my mind. The space is deceptive in that it looks small from the inside, but the clever interior design has separated out the bar area from the dining area from a small space that our party used, allowing different environments to co-exist happily without disrupting each other. They had a special for us, $2.60 for each of their small plates, as well as some special drinks on the menu. I was able to sample the lobster risotto, the spare ribs, the tuna tartare, and the fried calamari. The lobster risotto was the stand-out item, with lots of lobster pieces and a great creamy texture. The spare ribs were cold, which startled some people, but I was a bit put off by how overly salty they were. The tartare was good, but a very small serving, especially compared to the other dishes, and the calamari was very tasty but nothing special. Service was very attentive to our party, and did a great job keeping track of the multiple tabs we had going around. The drinks were good, but a few of the special drinks' combinations were a little strange. Gin and cream? Not sure if that was a winner. But with the vibe, and a relatively affordable menu (I think small plates were typically $5) I could see this place being a nice spot to stop off for a drink and snack when you're in the Faneuil Hall area.

Lunch recently, pretty spot right next to fanuil hall with some available outside seating.....it looked like rain so we went inside....mixed feelings, it is very pretty and has some very nice dining areas behind the bar area....we ate in the front area so we could do some people watching....service was very pleasant and attentive although it was not very busy, one drink was very good and the other not so much, so average for drinks, the shrimp appetizer was sort of soggy so it was not that great, the swordfish and spinach and sweet potatoes was excellent and i had the spinach salad with scallops (7$ gets three scallops) so i thought this was very good but overpriced....bread was excellent.....so, very mixed feelings, very pretty spot though!

So I had walked by this places a ton of times but never went in, until there was an UYE there the other night. They have a new chef and just redid their menu, so although I wasnt able to compare it to what was offered before, I was excited to try their new offerings. Their holiday cocktails were all very delicious (My personal fav was the Cider House 26), as were the other cocktails i tried. Only downside here is the price. Their cocktails were priced well ($9-$12) but I was dismayed to find they didnt have a single 'cheaper' one available. I only tried the small plates, all of which were delicious. They had mussels, tuna tartar, spare ribs, popcorn shrimp, fried calamari, and lobster risotto. My favorites by far was the risotto and the mussels, but everything was delicious. The sauces served with the fried calamari and popcorn shrimp were great and added a nice kick. Staff was exceedingly friendly and very attentive. The decor was nice and the atmosphere was somewhere in between chic and casual. Delicious food and yummy drinks - you cant go wrong!

I went to North 26 this week with my dad after work. We made reservations online. We arrived to the restaurant on time, noticing that the entire outdoor and front area was blocked off and reserved for a private party. This was disappointing since it was such a nice day out and we had hoped to sit outside, but we instead entered through the hotel as instructed by the signs (even though the private party had not yet arrived), and entered thru the back of the restaurant into a completely empty dining area, set apart from the rest of the restaurant. I personally felt slighted by this, like we were hidden away in the back end, but my dad didn't mind so we went with it. Next up, drinks. My dad wanted a Sam Summer draught, which the waitress (who was very kind, and apologized profusely for what was about to happen) went to go get, only to return explaining that the draft was off limits because of the private party. Um, WHAT?! We can't even drink out of the same taps as this private party who had yet to arrive? This really ticked me off, but we didn't complain too much yet. When he was ready for his 2nd beer he persuaded the waitress into sneaking us a draft from the bar area, though it was certainly not something that was allowed and she seemed nervous about doing it. Considering how dead the restaurant was in all of the dining areas at this time, this just seemed like extremely poor management: How can North 26 tell one patron, or party, that they get all of the draught beer, EVEN THOUGH THEY HADNT EVEN ARRIVED YET, and then tell the few patrons that are already seated in the lonely back end of the restaurant that they don't get any? Extremely rude. The food here was good and the popcorn shrimp was a great appetizer (more than enough for the two of us to share), but the fact that we felt as though we were treated like 2nd class citizens was appalling, and is the reason for the 2 star review. I will not return here because of that experience, despite the good (though pricey) food. The kicker is that as we left the restaurant and had to walk by the precious private party, it was STILL EMPTY. I mean EMPTY. The tables outside were absolutely empty. Either the party didn't show, or they had reserved well beyond their actual needs. This was a great example of how to lose business from locals who want to grab a bite to eat after work while attempting to impress a big private party. Thanks, North 26, you've taught me a valuable lesson in what NOT to look for in a restaurant.

The place has reasonable summer fare, nothing fantastic. At the price, the sandwiches and burgers are a safe bet if you don't want to regret the hole in your wallet. My memory of this restaurant is very positive simply because it saved me and my friends from the throngs of rowdy Bruins fans. I mean the energy was great, and the weather was really nice, but after a while it gets aggravating when every restaurant has a minimum 45 minute wait and people are pushing, shoving and guttural-moaning their love for the Boston Bruins. Plus you're starving. Oh and my friend had a really good bloody mary here. As far as Bloody Mary's go. I never really had one before so maybe I am the last person to have a valid opinion. Service staff is great and the bathroom is fancy-shmancy because it belongs to the newly renovated Millenium Hotel!

Server who greeted us questioned whether they had the wine we ordered off the wine menu- then told us he knew nothing about the wine menu. Got a couple of small plates that were edible but I have one word for the Chef- SALT. It's small and white and you use it to season food. Try it sometime. On to the worst caesar salad I've ever had, dressing was oily, romaine was old, and once again, no salt or seasoning to be tasted. We split the lobster ravioli- 3 bland stuffed pouches. The pasta itself was so underdone, when we cut the edges you could see a dry line in the pasta and it was crunchy- not anywhere near al dente. Skip this place- and save yourself the money and disappointment.

Why is this place empty? Saturday night, myself and five other (twenty-something) ladies made dinner reservations at North 26. Not only were they accommodating to our large party, but our crew ended up around 20 minutes late, and the staff put no pressure on us whatsoever. Aside from the gorgeous, semi-private table we landed (thanks, hostess), the wait-staff, bartender, food and drinks were fantastic. Drinks: Admittedly, the six of us consumed $156 worth of St. Germain cocktails. God bless you, bartender woman, for making us these boozey doves of world peace. I like you. (My liver does not.) We ordered a round of shots that came in adorable classes with sugar rims, and many other drinks that were all top-notch and induced a table-full of intoxication. Food: I ordered two small plates (only $12, thanks) and got the squash bisque and mushroom arancini. The perfect amount of food and absolutely delicious. Friends got calamari, potato skins, and mac and cheese. Clean-plate club we are. Wait staff: I think our waiter's name was Cory, and he was the male form of Mother Teresa for putting up with the six of us. Always in good spirits, he took pictures with our eleventy-billion cameras and never made us wait for a thing. He also split our bill six ways. The only "con" is that it was a bit empty, which obviously helped to give great service, but made me initially wonder if it was a good Saturday night spot. Thankfully, it was.

I carefully yelped this place before going, and I am truly confused as to how this place has any good reviews. First of all, as others said, the place was EMPTY. I mean, it was a beautiful summer night in Fanueil Hall and every other restaurant was packed. There were maybe two other couples at North. The waiters, host, and what seemed like the owner all hovered over our table, literally pacing back and forth around it, clearly bored. They were there making us feel uncomfortable for the entire dinner EXCEPT when we needed them. When we wanted to place our order and get the check they were nowhere to be seen. It took 25 minutes for them to bring us some cold stale bread (not warm ciabatta rolls as another yelper mentioned). The food itself was decent. The popcorn shrimp was good. The short rib crepes were the clear winner of the night. We also got the swordfish sandwich which was just alright. We read the desserts were great, but the creme brulee was nothing special. Also, I might have taken 4 sips of my water throughout the night, but the waiter reached his arm directly in front of my face to fill my cups at least 3 times. He literally just refilled the sip I had taken. SO annoying. This places only redeeming qualities were the groupon we had to go there, and the fact that we could see fireworks out the window (4th of July). All in all: slow service, weird creepy staff, blah food. Will not be going back.

So we ventured out today for a little restaurant week lunch. The fiancee chose here due to their multiple seafood offerings. We got warm ciabatta rolls and fluffy butter to start. They where delicious! For our first course: Clam Chowder: Piping hot and delicious! One of the best I have ever had and would happily eat again anytime. Lobster Bisque: Kind of cold, strong lobster taste but other then the lobster all I could taste was salt. The first course came out quick but then we waited. We asked for some more rolls since we where starving. We got some but they where a day or two old and stale :( For entrees: Sea Scallops with mushroom sauce and celery puree. I ordered this because my fiance was dying to try them. I hated the celery. I loved the mushroom sauce and the scallops where cooked perfectly. With only 3 medium sized scallops this was more of a small plate then an entree. Swordfish with BBQ sauce and corn. The swordfish was cooked to perfection. The sauce was bold but not over powering. The corn was delicious. It was a large steak and good sized lunch portion. I would eat this again. We wait again for a good 20 minutes for our dessert. During this time I venture off to find the bathroom which was in the hotel itself. For desserts: Bread pudding with coconut ice cream. Good in theory bad in reality. I like bread pudding. I like coconut. This tasted like how I would imagine a Yankee candle car freshener would taste if eaten. It was really pretty bad. The Boston cream pie whoopie pie was good. Nothing fantastic or mind blowing but the cake was moist, the chocolate ganash was yummy and the vanilla cream was nice and sweet. The service was either very overpowering or nonexistent. The decor was great, the hotel was modern and chic. Get a table near the window and people watch all the tourists wander in and out Quincy Market. I would come again but stick to the swordfish because man they know how to cook it right!

I went to North 26 because I had a restaurant.com gift certificate, and I had moderate expectations after reading the Yelp reviews. It was a slow night in Boston because of the holiday, so there weren't many people there, but they absolutely nailed every aspect of the dining experience that I was looking for. We called ahead and made a reservation with a very friendly employee, were greeted with smiles at the door, and sat down to an awesome dinner. The waitstaff was top notch, especially Jairo, who wasn't even our server, but still catered to us along with the rest of the staff throughout the entire night. The lobster bisque was excellent, the scallops were excellent, the steak was excellent, even the chocolate cake at the end was great! The bathrooms were clean, and my girlfriend was escorted to them by a host when she asked where it was. Our silverware was changed out after every course. Our wine and water glasses were never empty, and the staff made sure everything that was served to us was to our liking. This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in Boston. A++.

We went at lunch for restaurant week. The place seemed rather small and empty, there were maybe 3 or 4 other groups dining with us. I had the clam chowder, the scallops, and then the chocolate cake. All were delicious. Not sure about the regular menu, but for restaurant week this was by far the biggest surprise. Great deal.

#14 Did a bunch of small plates for dinner. Tuna tartar was boring. The tuna did not taste fresh. Short rib crepes were delish. Melt in your mouth and flavorful sauce. Best choice of the night. Lobster risotto was pretty good. Maybe a little too cheesy. Mussels and chorizo was bad. This is a dish that I usually enjoy. First the pot it was in, made it difficult to get to the sauce so the mussel was dry and tasteless. Then the chorizo was just horrible. It tasted like ground beef which is not what chorizo shud be. Finished with an Oreo cake. A molten chocolate cake that was a good finish.

I enjoyed an EXCELLENT lunch with a friend at North 26 this week. We started with the Lobster Bisque, which was not what we expected, but it was excellent. (Lighter with more lobster than the usual.) Then we both had the Spinach Salad with Scallops -- so, so tasty. The only reason this is s 4-star review instead of a 5-star is that the atmosphere is wanting for a little more personality . . . but it was sunny and pleasant with a great view of the street for people watching. Will definitely go there again.

I enjoyed a great meal today at North 26. I had the Sirloin {perfectly cooked to med/rare) which was preceded by the iceberg salad with buttermilk something dressing apart and also delicious.. Also , a side of potato puree with smoked gouda. All excellent. And with attentive service, and just when you think that it might be taking a little too long, there is your food.. Sure, I had a groupon but, this is also the site of my most memorable fish entree. If they ever offer native striped bass, allow yourselves the opportunity to dine on it and in fine style.

While I didn't have a meal at North26, I was there this evening for a Boston Young Professionals Association (BYPA) event called Single Mingle. We had over 100 people at the event, so it felt a little cramped at times. Since the weather wasn't warm enough, only a few ventured to the patio outside. The servers were incredibly attentive, making sure that everyone had a drink and that it was replenished, without being annoying. I thought it was nice when they came over to the registration table and asked if we wanted water, then quickly delivered it. It's great when you don't have to clamor around the bar and scream at the bartender to get a drink. This helped remove that layer from the event. From what I saw, the menu was a bit pricey but the food that folks ordered did look quite nice, presentation-wise. Overall, it was a small space for a big group of people -- but that's no fault of the venue or the organizers. It's a nice room and an upscale bar, definitely someplace where I'd want to take clients.

Very decent restaurant, but I honestly would not dine here if it was not for Restaurant Week. Service is great, but the food was pretty average to me. IMO, not 4* material -- but hey, maybe it was because I orderd from a Restaurant Week menu. Service: - very attentive - helpful and nice, he joked with us - bus boy was quick to clear off the dirty dishes from the table Food: - Crab cake was good. No complaints - Mahi mahi was nicely cooked. The sauce was a tad too salty. - Strawberry Boston Creme was okay. I prefer the cupcakes from Lulu's though. **Note, the bathroom is in the hotel -- NOT restaurant. And I must say that it is a beautiful bathroom.

I only ate here for brunch, and while the ambience was light, sunny, and gorgeous, the restaurant was EMPTY. Completely empty...at 11am...which was odd. The ambience is great, though. the dining area is surrounded by large windows that let the sunlight stream in, the tables are elegantly decorated with understated chrome salt/pepper shakers and little vases with a single flower in them. The brunch food is a bit expensive for the portion size, and they seem to try and price close to the Boston Harbor Hotel-type price point but don't offer up as good of service or food quality. However, it's only a couple dollars per plate more than I think the experience is worth, so it wasn't a huge loss. I had the egg white fritatta with veggies, and it was small but fresh-tasting. It felt light from start to finish and didn't make me feel full. The homefries served on the side were a bit mushy and greasy. Overall, i have had better brunch entrees, toast options, and homefries at comparable places for the same price tag (or lower), but the reason I'd come back and give dinner a go is because the decor is just so darn cute. Though the service alternated between too intrusive and too slow, both the server and the hostess were extremely accomodating to all requests, and worked really hard to create a great dining experience. A+ for hiring friendly staff.

I have been here many times, but last night ate here for the first time. The House Burger was delicious! The beef cooked to perfection, the trimmings fresh, and house sauce hit the spot. I normally go to North 26 for drinks, which is a perfect spot for those as well. Try the Bloody Manhattan, which combined orange bitters with the classic cocktail. This spot is not to miss for a quick dinner, a night cap, or if your staying at the Millennium Bostonian.

I've been here twice, both times it's been underwhelming. They have a very limited and expensive menu. I ordered a steak medium rare and when I cut it, it was literally bleeding. I sent it back to be cooked more and it was very good. There is no atmosphere in the place. It was very quiet and very empty on a Friday night in the summer after work. The food wasn't bad but I wouldn't return because you can get the same food at other places where it's more fun and less expensive. One good thing - the waiter came back to my table after I paid with the check - I thought he was going to complain about the tip or something but he showed me that I added wrong gipping myself out of $10 and fixed it for me which was very nice.

Had a Groupon for North 26 and went on a Friday night around 8:45. We had made a reservation for 8:45 but when I called apologetically to reschedule they told me not to bother with rescheduling, just to show up whenever, which made sense when I saw how empty the restaurant was. The space is very nice, modern but with a cozy feeling, with a great view onto Tremont Street near Faneuil Hall. I ordered the spinach salad with scallops and my boyfriend had the steak. I also had a glass of the house white, which was decent but at $9 the cheapest glass of wine they offered. The salad was excellent, standard spinach, blue cheese, and pecans with seared scallops. My boyfriend's steak did not come with a generous side portion of anything else, and was slightly overcooked (he ordered it medium rare and it was medium well). The service was attentive but not intrusive, except for at the end of the meal when we were trying to get the check to make our 10:30 movie down the street. We tried for a good five-ten minutes to flag down a waiter, the bartender, or anyone, but the staff were all too absorbed in watching the Olympics or chatting with each other to notice. Eventually my boyfriend had to get up and find our waiter to ask for the check. Another slightly odd thing - the restaurant does not have a bathroom attached, so you have to walk all the way around through the Millenium Hotel lobby to get to the hotel's bathrooms. Not a terrible inconvience, but does interrupt the meal somewhat. Overall, a solid restaurant with good food, if slightly overpriced for the quality, and a great space.

My girlfriend and I just came back from brunch from North26. I am not a person who would write a review right after a visit to a restaurant, however, I felt that the restaurant deserved a review. We went there for brunch/breakfast on a sunny sunday morning. It was very quiet for a sunday morning, perhaps due to the fact that its located in a very touristy spot. There was just another party. We were welcomed by a very friendly host, he was a friendly "uncle" so to speak(reminded me of back home). The table setting was fantabulous, pretty orchids on the table. The brunch menu was very average nothing out of the ordinary here. We ordered coffee and orange Juice to start with. We both were very pleased with coffee and the freshly squeezed orange juice(rare find in Boston) . I ordered the three egg omelet with fillings and my girlfriend ordered Waffles. I would recommend either of them :-) . The service was prompt and friendly. We were asked about the experience three times during our meal(perhaps cause they weren't very busy, but I'm not complaining). Overall, the food experience was great! All in all, a very positive experience and would definitely try it out for dinner/lunch.

If you have read reviews you know this is one of the best damn restaurants in Boston.....and I could not agree more. Since eating here I have woken up crying because I was not savoring the lobster deviled eggs and short ribs that were dancing in my mouth as I slept. I had the privilege to work under head chef Brian Flagg, and train and work alongside his Sous chef Freddy. Let me tell you these people are legit. This is no flash in the pan or mistake that the food is so good. there is a passion behind those kitchen doors that few in the industry can rival. There is also an endless stream of new and inventive thoughts pouring onto plates. That being said, the waitstaff was extremely attentive. The natural wood decor is simple yet inspiring. The food is not just artfully prepared but the ingredients are well understood. They are not slapping pretty ingredients together to make you smile before you bite and tricking people who think they know food into liking the place. They are skillfully balancing flavors, styles, textures, and appearance of ingredients. The use of local, fresh, and sustainable food sources really shows as the flavors explode on your palate. Alas I do not have the vocabulary to do justice to the gastronomic treat that I enjoyed here. Stop reading reviews and waffling on a decision, and get your ass to Faneuil Hall and eat at North 26 already! Why are still you reading? Get off your ass and eat! Now!!

Two of my colleagues and I went to North 26 during restaurant week and it was an awesome treat. From bread, Salad, Entree and dessert, everything was fantastic. Service was excellent and so is the ambience. Yes, it is expensive without Groupon deal, but later on I noticed that they seem to have Groupon NOW available all the time.

Went here for Restaurant Week on Saturday 8/15. First off kudos to them for offering the restaurant week menu on Saturday night. Small venue but has the option of indoor or oudoor seating. In the Bostonian hotel. Mussels- decent, nothing special in the sauce but you got a pretty good amount for a starter Clam Chowder- actually very good, creamy with a nice taste to it. Bluefish- HOLY WOW! My bf got this entree and he by far picked the best item. It comes with a chickpea puree and alone the bluefish and chickpea was delicious but together it was a true marriage of delicious-ness. The fish was cooked just right- flaky and melting in your mouth. Seafood stew- This was recommended by our server and was decent. They definitely need to add a small bowl of rice to it. It is just some liquid with a whole bunch of seafood. The seafood was pretty fresh but the lobster was chewy. Also, as much as I am a fan of sausage in my food, they could have done without it. Smores Dessert- another holy wow! Basically this was a chocolate cake with a warm, oozing center with warm mrshmellows on top and delicious chcolate graham crackers- I am yearning for one as we speak. Cheesecake- typically I am not a fan but the sauce with pecans on the side was amazing. The actual cheesecake was tasty as well. Overall, the serve was very slow. Since we ordered everything at once you would think our meals would come out at a regular pace so we could continue to eat. We were there for over 2 hours with about 10-15minutes in between each part of the meal as waited 35 minutes for the starters. The server did not know much about anything at the bar such as draft or what types of liquor they had so this is not the place to go with a fancy drink. Over all- very nice experience.

Sadly, I did not have the same experiences other yelpers had. I suppose the staff just wasn't prepared for the craziness that is Mothers' Day brunch. We just wanted some grub... there were few other diners when we arrived, so we were seated at lovely table by the large bay windows. I looked around and noticed there were a few tables that desperately needed bussing. It was quite awhile before we were asked if we wanted drinks. In fact, when the server did come around, she seemed shocked when I told her we were actually all ready to order. Lucky I did, because all the families who arrived before us didn't have there order taken for probably about 15 more minutes. One other diner ordered a Virgin Mary. Twenty minutes later a Bloody Mary showed up at her table... I was quite pleased with the free glass of champagne they gave me for Mothers' Day (even though I'm not a mom.) I ordered my favorite brunchy fare- the Bostonian Benedict which was tasty but typical. The beau ordered the steak and eggs with truffle oil for $20+ and received what seemed like the same cut of meat he would have received at Denny's, with no truffle oil! After awhile, when the restaurant started to really get busy, these nice men in suits started bussing the tables and the brand new hostess started taking the drink orders. By this time we were more than ready to leave. I had asked the server (whom I hadn't seen in about 45 minutes) for the check which she failed to bring me. So the nice gentleman in the suit took my credit card to ring us out quickly. When I signed the bill, I realized they had charged us for 2- $4 cups of coffee (we only had one and NO refills.) So, I had to take the cost of the coffee out of the tip. (Which by the way, I NEVER do.) I'm really bummed about our experience because some of the dishes sounded amazing, but I'm hesitant to try again.

My new go-to Faneuil Hall barstaurant . North 26 it's distinctly non-cheesy, especially for the location. The food is all New England-regional. And based on an appetizer I tried, very good. The service was great, the ambiance is upscale-ish but still very comfortable. I'll be back for sure.

My girlfriend and I ate here for lunch during restaurant week and we couldn't have been more pleased. The restaurant is casually elegant and the wait staff was very professional. I had the seared scallops which were prepared perfectly and my girlfriend had the sea bass which was also very good. The wait staff was also sure to fill our water glasses whenever they were less than half full and whenever we were looking for someone there was always someone there to help. We plan on going back to North 26 soon.

We were really happy with this place. Service was good and the food was good. It's about as good as you're going to get in the Fanueil Hall area. I was surprised to hear it's been around for a while, when I lived in Boston I found myself down by that area frequently and never noticed it, they might want to do more to attract attention to it.

Went this past Monday for restaurant week with a party of 10. There was 2 possibly 3 other parties of 2-6 ppl each and that was it in the dining room. We were seated at 7:15pm, didn't receive first course until 9pm! Each subsequent course took 30-50 minutes to come out, we didn't escape until just about 11pm. Once the entree came out the fire alarm went off, we were seated directly next to a fire signal box with strobe light that continued to go off for 20-25 minutes. The restaurant manager, a wholly incapable human, was running through the restaurant as if it were on fire meanwhile not informing any of the diners what was happening. He just ran around in a panic yelling, YES yelling, "we're taking care of this". Really friend because it looks like you're running for your life in an attempt to beat us all the to the door. Once the alarm went off and entree was clear it took another 30 minutes for dessert to come out. At this point we searched out aforementioned frantic manager and alerted him to the fact that we were approaching 4 hours and were just getting dessert. People were going to miss trains and parking fees were jumping up before our eyes. He responded that he would take care of us. When the bill came, the manager came over and apologized for the delay, said they were very busy with it being restaurant week (really guy? at dinner's end we were literally the only people in the restaurant and prior to that had been 1 of at the most 4/5 parties). He then proceeded to hand us all a coupon for 15% off our next visit. Needless to say we didn't tip a dime over the 18% already figured gratuity and when the busser returned she had 10 coupons to pickup off the table and return to her manager. We will never recommend that place or go there ever again and as a side note for unmanageable manager man, you had 2 industry folks at your dinner that night and we all know how fast word travels amongst friends in the business. Unfortunate for you and for the Millennium!

The food was good...I think...but i can't remember because the shots of sambuca my boss bought me ruined my tastebuds and made the rest of the night a little fuzzy....so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Try it and tell me how it is.

This place actually surprised me a lot. I purchased a groupon a few months ago and the expiration date was quickly approaching so it had to be used. I've walked by this place countless times and never really thought twice about it. The restaurant is attached to the millennium hotel so the decor is nice and modern. Lunch was good, I started out with the short rib crepes which were really good. I had the grilled sirloin for an entree and it was ok but the cut of meat was tough, the sides of potatoes and asparagus were good. My friend had the scallops and they were tasty and cooked really well. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back again.

I came here with a few friends and we all walked away impressed. The mixed drinks were well made and not watered down as happens in other places in the area. We ordered a few small plates as appetizers (calamari, sliders, garlic cheese fries). The appetizers came out relatively quickly and were good. As our main course, three of us ordered the baby spinach salad, and the fourth ordered the burger. We also got the seared scallop meal on accident (one person ordered the spinach salad with scallops on top, but the waiter misunderstood and wrote down the scallop dinner). We weren't charged for the seared scallop entree, but it was absolutely delicious so I will probably order it the next time I go--and there will be a next time!

Have had two lunches here and enjoyed them both. First of all, the restaurant is very beautiful. Modern and unique as far as I'm concerned. Neither time I was there was very crowded, which may not bode well but I thought for the most part the service was very attentive. As for the food, the calamari is great- grilled but not breaded and comes with a polenta johnny cake and roasted tomatoes. I was with a large party that got maybe 4 orders and might have personally ate two of them. Oops. Beet salad of some sort was tasty, nothing special, but I love any salad with beets. It had a cheese crouton thing I wasn't overly fond of. The lobster club (with bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato) is very tasty, though the lobster was a bit overwhelmed by the bun and all the accouterments. I just sort of ate it deconstructed, which was fine. Also all the sandwiches come with a fun mini deep fryer of fries. I've also had a pasta, spinach, scallop and lobster dish. I'm not a huge fan of cream sauces so it was a bit rich for my liking, but the scallops were fantastic. For dessert, their smore dish is very, very good. Overall, I'd highly recommend it, especially if someone else is paying. :)

We tried out North 26 for Restaurant Week, party due to the good reviews we read on yelp, opentable and citysearch. I feel like we went to a totally different place. In restrospect, we should have been concerned before we got there. We walked through Faneuil Hall, past Ames, Kingfish and McCormick's, all of which were crowded, and got to North 26 which was almost empty. The calamari app mentioned in other reviews was good. No where close to as good as what some of the other reviwers wre saying. Good, and not rubbery, but not more than that. Our server was attentive. The drinks (raspberry mojito, cucumber martini) were good and refreshing. The problem was the entree. My wife ordered the steak medium rare.It came out and was totally well done. She sent it back and asked for medium rare. The manager and another member of the staff came by very and were apologetic. A new steak came out and was way overcooked again. She complained again and the manager glared at her. Excuse me? You really don't know the differece between a red medium rare and a pinkish-brown medium well? Really? Why is that our fault? We ended up leaving. There are way too many good places in Boston to put up with this place. Even the best food (probably the calamari) isn't as good as similar food you can get at dozens of other places in Boston. Please listen to the handful of people giving this place 1s and 2s. The food isn't great and as others have said, the place was empty. That in itself is a huge statement in a restaurant town like Boston. You can do a lot better than North 26. Go somewhere else.

Bought a GrouponNow for $25 for $50 worth of food. I warned the boyfriend beforehand that the reviews reported bad service but good food... silly me thought maybe we would luck out with both good service and good food. We went for lunch on a weekday afternoon and sat outside- major points for the outdoor seating with great people watching views of Faneuil Hall. After 10 minutes of sitting outside and no waiter, the hostess came out to report that the waiter was busy (despite the fact that we only saw 2 tables seated when we walked through the restaurant) but she could take our drink order. I told her that I was good with just water and she started to walk away. We had to call her back so that the boyfriend could order a drink. When she returned 5 minutes later with the drinks we asked if we could give her our order (since we had now been sitting outside for 15minutes and still had not been addressed by anyone). She seemed extremely put out by this but said OK. I gave her our appetizer order and she turned to walk away. I called her back and asked if we could give our whole order. 5 minutes later a guy (still not sure if he was supposed to be our waiter??) came out and told the boyfriend that they don't have whatever salad dressing he had ordered. Boyfriend asked what they had for dressing and the guy said "mostly just vinaigrettes." Boyfriend asked what else they had and the guy said "As I said, mostly just vinaigrettes and ranch and stuff." Boyfriend asked for ranch and after the guy walked away, we realized I had not been asked about salad dressing. The food came a few minutes later, both side salads doused in, you guessed it, vinaigrette... with a bowl of ranch dressing on the side. The food was very bland (swordfish sandwich and burger). The burger which he ordered medium rare was JUST below well done, absolutely not a hint of rare. We would have mentioned this if someone had come by to check on how the food was but needless to say, this didn't happen. Eventually we had to flag down a waiter and ask for our check- he was very polite so maybe he was supposed to be our waiter... guess we'll never know!

The $5 bar bites are absolutely delicious and surprisingly substantial. This place gets totally overlooked. In a sea of vomit that is Faneuil Hall, it's an upscale and swanky experience. The comfy, but minimal barseats and a cool marble-top bar make for a nice relaxing experience. Try a sampler of their fruit-infused vodka, which I only knew even had vodka in it because they told me. The drink menu overall looks good, although I'm a beer and single-mixer drink man. As we were leaving I saw three girls skeptically checking the menu on the street. I told them I just had the best $10 mussels and $5 chickpea fries in my life. Walking down the street half an hour later, they flagged us down from their patio seats and thanked me for the tip.

My roommates and I went here last Monday to grab a nice meal and were all pleasantly surprised. We walked in to a pretty bare restaurant, but it being 8:30 on a Monday night, at a hotel restaurant, we weren't too surprised by that. We each had a cocktail (which were mediocre and over priced and probably my only reason for not giving it 5 stars.) We were then brought bread, and the tuna tartare. The tuna was small-ish, definately not a sharing appetizer, but was very fresh and well seasoned with a nice kick of spice. The fried chip/wontons were also very fresh, crispy and really good. I had a wedge salad with steak. Which was delicious. My roommates had the special surf and turf (an unbelievable deal at $19), and the lobster "3-ways". I am allergic to shellfish so was unable to try their meals, but everyone was part of the clean plate club this night. Our water was really nice and very attentive. and let us relax and people watch for quite awhile, without making us feel rushed at all, which we enjoyed. We then had the Boston Cream Pie, whcih was not what we expected but delicious all the same, a modern twist on an old classic. I am sad to see a few recent rough reviews, because this is definitely one of my new favorite places.

Went here for RW. Service an setting were nice. Ordered a cocktail that was strong but bland. It was supposed to have ginger infused liquor in it, but I barely tasted any zing. The rib crepe appetizer was quite good, but the crab cake was more filler than crab. I had the swordfish for entree which was pretty good. It was cooked just right, and the sauce was tasty. My fiancée had the brisket, which, was ok, but as paled to the real stuff he's had down south. The chocolate cake desert was pretty good, but the cheesecake left much to be desired.

Ate there last night with some friends. Saw a review on the Phantom Gourmet and decided to give it a try. Won't be back. Very nice atmosphere and at first I thought the entree prices were very reasonable. But then I realized it's because they give you miniature portions of food. The service was pretty good but not a great selection on the menu. My wife had the Arctic Char. It was disgusting and she should have sent it back. It was fatty and greasy. My friend ordered the haddock and said it was very good but it was smaller than most appetizers. He had to eat again before the night was over. Oh and, I did say the atmosphere was nice but from where we were sitting we could see the TV in the bar and it was on CSI or something while someone was performing an autopsy... not really appropriate for dining but that's just me. Oh well, we tried.

We came in for restaurant week and ordered salads, entrees and drinks. After bringing our initial drinks, or server did not stop over to check on us for 30 or 45 minutes. If we wanted a refill we had to walk to the bar - we literally could not even find him. Requests of other servers to find our server were not met. After 1.5 hours we did not even have our salads. We tried to contact the manager several times informing him that we had to get to the airport to catch a plane, and he brushed us off for about 30 minutes. All of our food orders came out incorrect or cold. The potato gravy had a crusty film on it from sitting so long, the salad was beyond wilted and my friend had to scrape a quarter-inch layer of salt off of the top of her fish. The manager was nice enough to comp our food for the TWO HOUR delay, but implied that it was our fault this delay occurred. Overall no one seemed to care that it took us two hours to get our food. I had to shove a poorly-cooked steak down in three minutes to make it to the airport on time. There were a lot of serious problems with this lunch that could have been remedied by our multiple requests to the server, hostess, bartenders and manager. Instead, they seemed to throw in the towel and not correct what was without a doubt the worst dining experience I've had in years.

Had our 17th anniversary dinner here on a Saturday night. The calamari appetizer was absolutely superb - steamed and pan sauted - very tender. Kari squash bisque was also great. Entrees were the whole haddock with a crab and shrimp sauce - excellent. The filet mignon was very good with a chestnut honey sauce and carmelized pearl onions. Jairo, our water, was very attentive and informative.

North 26 has become a Friday night bar-stop of sorts. The bartenders here are very friendly and the food is quite good. The steamed mussels and yellow fin tuna are a personal favorite. I've not taken a table in the restaurant as we prefer the bar, so I cannot comment on the restaurant service. However, many of the staff have been around for while, so that's a good thing in my view.

My husband and I ate here 2 times recently, once for drinks and dessert and then the next for brunch. I wouldnt decide between 3 or 4 starts, but since I didnt have any real complaints I went with 4. The dessert we had was some sort of whoopie pie that was good but not amazing. I had a pumpkin martini that was good but very strong. It was also very large. On any other night I would have really enjoyed it. The next morning my husband enjoyed his Bananas Foster French Toast which I tried and loved. It was very sugary but delicious. I got the Blueberry White Cornmeal Pancakes which were good with fresh blueberries. My husband enjoyed his side or bacon and homefries and his orange juice tasted fresh squeezed. I did not like the coffee, but they had other coffee options I may have enjoyed.

Went last night, a packed house when we got there. It was the last might of restaraunt week so did not expect much. Great selection to choose from. I had the lamb chops with cumin, haddock and whooppie pie for desert. Wifey had steamed mussels, seafood stew and apple tart. The lamb chops and mussels were excellent, the mussels were fresh and plenty of them. The lamb chops fell off the bone and were succulent. Dinner was a bit dissapointing. Seafood stew was bland and the potatoes undercooked. The breaded haddock lacked any pizaz. Desert was average at best. Ambiance was great, however you can get lost heading to the bathroom. Ok experience, would come back for drinks and appetizer, not so for the dinner.

I absolutely love North 26! I went here during restaurant week and decided to go back this weekend for dinner. Everything about our experience was great. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken and it was awesome -- they do comfort food well. I had the pot roast which was a short rib with root vegetables and potato puree and it was great. At first when it arrived, I didn't think there was enough meat to fill me up however, I was wrong! The meat was cut very nicely and was incredibly tender. By the end of our meal, I could barely finish eating my food I was so full and satisfied. We decided to get dessert and had the Boston Cream Whoopie Pie and it was great. We split it and that was a good decision because it was just the right amount. It was presented nicely and tasted even better. Also, in regards to the drinks, the St. Germain cocktail that they have with Lychee in it, is amazing. It is refreshing and was mixed very well -- it is on the sweeter side though if you do not prefer sweet drinks. Also, our waiter was fabulous, he was the right degree of friendly without being overbearing and he knew the menu well. I will definitely be going back to North 26.

My boyfriend and I just got back from a Restaurant Week dinner here, and were completely delighted with our experience! Service was friendly and attentive from the start. Our cocktails were great (Hendricks gin fans, note that this place carries that fabulous concoction). I got the cool weather greens salad, which was a nicely balanced take on the common "bitter greens, blue cheese, fruit, and nuts" salad that you often see on menus in the colder half of the year. My boyfriend got the semolina and mascarpone dumplings with rabbit ragout. The dumplings melted in our mouths, and the ragout was hearty and savory. For an entree, I paid the $4 over the RW price to get the seafood stew. The seafood was perfectly cooked and not at all rubbery (including the half lobster tail and lobster claw), the potatoes were tender but not falling apart, the broth was rich and yummy, and the peasant bread was perfect for soaking it up. My boyfriend was delighted that the rack of lamb provided a filling portion of meat, and the gnocchi were tender and yummy. Dessert was amazing. I had the German chocolate peanut butter torte, which was a great blend of decadent, comforting flavors (and ladies, it is perfect for when your hormones are screaming for chocolate). My boyfriend's caramel apple tart was flaky, sweet, tangy, and delicious. The coffee he got to go with it was also good stuff. Our sole complaint was that when my boyfriend asked for "the Zinfandel" (meaning the Ravenswood red zin on the wine list), the waiter interpreted "Zinfandel" as meaning "white Zinfandel", and equal to "the only rose wine we have on the list, whether or not that happens to be a white zin." The server exchanged it for the right one when my boyfriend pointed out the error, but somehow my boyfriend still got charged for the rose, which was $4 more than the Ravenswood. All in all, though, we loved our dinner, and we will definitely be back. The food and service were top-notch, and the atmosphere was classy, but laid back and relaxed. A total win.

Apparently, North 26 has decided to go the salmon route (they substituted it for mahi) for restaurant week. We've been here for RW a few years ago (and for regular dinner) and thought it was great. We were surprised tonight to find over salted blah food...spinach under salmon was salty...crab cakes were salty...even the bread was salty. Swordfish was ok. The banana fritters for dessert were like ugly donut balls. Definitely not recommended for RW...

The Good: - Server was extremely attentive (granted we were 1 of 2 tables). - Cocktails were strong. - The steak was well cooked (medium rare). The Bad: -The entire restaurant smelled like someone had just smoked an entire cigar in it, it was disgusting. -The calamari was a little too chewy. -For the price, there are far better options than this place. I guess the fact that it was virtually empty at 9:00 on a Friday and was offering a Groupon should have clued me in.
