I moved here from NYC, where the bagels are the best in the world and I have to say, Finagle comes pretty darn close. For a chain, they're especially great. Not only are the bagels fresh but the breakfast sandwiches they make are also freshly made. It's my go-to when I have a serious bagel craving. The only reason Finagle doesn't get 5 stars from me is that their prices are a little high. I realize this could have to do with paying for good, fresh food but great delis in NYC that serve comparable food are a little lower than this place.

WHY CAN'T WE HAVE THESE IN CALI?! All I've got to say.. FRENCH TOAST BAGEL!! delicious!! I first had this amazingness on my first trip to Boston about 4 years ago. And when I planned this past trip I KNEW I had to return to Finagle for this french toast bagel. And it was just as good as I remember.

Mediocre bagels and cream cheese. The cream cheese was very heavily spread on my bagel, I had to scrape off a lot of it. The location is nice. The restaurant has an upstairs dining room with large windows for taking in the sights of Copley Square. I do have to give them props for the really cool bagel cutting device. Upon ordering a bagel, the bagel is placed on a conveyor belt that quickly whisks away the bagel, sending it past a blade that slices the bagel neatly in two. Very efficient!

This place brings back memories of when I used to work right around the corner on Newbury St. and literally had a bagel with cream cheese every single day. I don't know how I didn't gain a million pounds that summer. Anyway, it's great. The only reason why I can't give 5 stars right now is that they took FOREVER to make my sandwich today, and it wasn't that great (even though there was bacon in it!)

Really good bagels. I tried the Jalapeno Cheddar one - which was good, nice and soft, but not as good as the Jalapeno Asiago one I have at ABP. I don't know if I am allowed to compare the two since they are so different, but if I had to do this day over again, I might have went to ABP instead of FAB.

I'm definitely a fan of this location! I stop in a few mornings a week as it's close to my office. Their blueberry bagel is a nice size, texture, and has loads of blueberries in it! Instead of just being a slightly blue tinge, you can see the fruit! I'll get either cream cheese or peanut butter depending on my mood, and both are average but in a satisfying way. I like to treat myself with a bacon, egg, and cheese on a veggie bagel. I like that you can see someone cracking open eggs and frying them there in front of me. The OJ is expensive, but fresh and delicious. I'm not crazy about the cinnamon raisin or the french toast, and the iced coffee is nothing to write home about (though it's $1).

I love this place! It's pretty small and was very crowded with the line almost out the door when I got here. But the line moved very fast. I was surprised. They have this awesome bagel conveyor belt that carries it down, slices it in two and shoots it to the end. The bagels were very fresh and my sesame bagel had sesames covering the bottom half just like the top! Usually the bottom has no sesames and is plain and boring. They have a small seating area upstairs with a few tables and booths. There's also a bar right at the windows so you can people watch the busy Boston streets while you eat.

There really isn't much better than a damn good bagel to start off your day. for 3.99 you can get a breakfast sandwich with a medium coffee. that's a pretty damn good deal considering it's pretty much the same price as a D&D combo. for starters the bagels here are fantastic. my personal favorite is the egg bagel, unfortunately they were out of them today so i settled for a strong second, the sesame bagel. i went with the medium coffee combo and asked for it in a large cup (i was driving to CT, wanted to avoid spillage and wanted room for the fixings), she obliged but ended up giving me a medium coffee in a medium cup with no room. in the end i had to do what i hate to do, dump some of the coffee into the trash.. i feel bad for the guy that has to pull the trash out, all that coffee in there really makes it heavy. the upstairs sitting area is not always the cleanest, but it gets the job done if you're looking to sit for 30 or so mins and read the paper. i personally think finagle is the best place to get a bagel in all of MA.. if they had better coffee i'de give them 5 stars... it's as watered down as D&D coffees.

Service is fine. Bagels are lacking. I had a whole wheat everything bagel with the veggie omelette. The bagel was more like round loaf bread than the signature texture of a bagel. The veggie omelette part was yummy and the bagel topping stayed on very well.

The Phoenix Press breakfast sandwich is to die for. This is my 2nd favorite sandwich. It used to be the traditional but they got rid of the french bread that i loved so dear. Anyways, i love this sandwich, black bean salsa, avocado, tomato, and cheese, and of course cooked real egg and i added bacon.

  • Ronald S.

good bagels my only issue is they have some free iced coffee deal and i guess you have to ask for it, since i wasnt offered my free coffee. no big deal, but it would have been nice. still a quick easy bagel gnosh in boston and better than dd.

  • Lisa R.

You can tell a lot about a bagel when you go plain, and this one wasn't saying too much. It was mediocre at best. The french toast bagel, on the other hand, was slightly better, but unlike those from other places. It was much more syrupy and sticky that its counterparts from elsewhere, but it was pretty good. By far, the most amazing thing about this place was the bagel slicer, which takes your bagel on a high-speed adventure from one end of the counter (where you order) to the other (where your bagel is dressed) after being sliced by an uber-sharp blade and propelled on its way.

    (3)
  • G J J.

Cool little machine that slices the bagels. So-so bagels, but the prices are right. Don't get the cream cheese, it's a rip off.

    (3)
  • Joshua M.

Bagel slicing machine is back in action!

    (4)
  • K. L.

Not really bagels - more like bagel shaped bread. Fine but not if you are looking for an actual bagel!

  • Christopher W.

Food is great. Went twice and both of us ordered the exact same thing as the first visit since it was so good. Wait times a little above average based on what I am used to at a Bagel place, though in their defense we went during a crazy weekend (Sox opening series and right before the Marathon). Crazy guy that kept complaining about not being able to use the bathroom there probably took away from the appeal.

We ate here a couple of times while visiting Boston. Good food, decent prices and fast service.

  • Julie N.

They have a bagel panini sandwich called "The Winner" that gets me every time. It has "Egg, Sausage, Tomato & Scallion Cream Cheese" and when you throw that on an everything bagel, you've got a breakfast of champions. This is definitely a go-to when I want to blow some calories in the morning.

I remember when I'd show up to meetings t0tally hungover, and the admin would have a table full of bagelzZzz from this Finagle. That was fun, and a t0tally yummy way to start the day, because they have much better selection compared to Dunkin Donutz (w0rst Bagelz, ever! 400+ caloriez and 9 gramz of fat in your new HEALTHY multi-grain? Go to HELL!) I guess that's the only thing I like. Have you tried their sandwiches? Oh, k0ol... then can you give me the # to the customer complaint line? W0RST FUCKING SANDWICH FROM A FAKE SANDWICH SHOP, ever... a McDonald's Snack Wrap would have been more satisfying. :( woah, woah, woah .... hold the ph0ne ... maybe that crossed the line, but I'm just saying, my sandwich was small, had no flav0r, and fell apart all over my desk. The single lettuce leaf had such a large stem on it, that when I tried to pull it out of the sandwich, I noticed it was still growing and planted in the earth. :(~~ I've had better sandwiches out of a vending machine. The options are pretty boring, and the only toppings they had to offer were lettuce and tomato. Maybe the salads could be fun, but I think they use weird lettuce that tastes like plantz from the nursery @ Home Depot. :(~ I'm just sayin, there is an Au Bon Pain like right down the street... I am going to ask my co-worker for a piece of her nicorette and try to get the taste out of my mouth. Thankz.

I have some history at F-A-B. When I used to travel to Boston regularly on business, I always stayed at the Westin Copley, and would alternate breakfast between this location of F-A-B and Dunkin Donuts. Both places had great coffee, and great breakfast treats. Fast forward to this year's visit to F-A-B. I wanted to order a couple of sandwiches that we could eat in the car while on our way to the Cape. I figured out what I wanted, and placed my order with the counter dude. It seems that I made a grievous error by asking if they had any type of bread or rolls for the sandwiches, rather than having them on a bagel. Counter dude went into a tirade about how they "didn't have no Wonder bread" for their sandwiches. Umm, excuse me, I merely asked if you had any bread or rolls for the sandwiches. Not sure where the Wonder bread came in. A big fuck you to F-A-B and the counter dude.

  • Lydia B.

Probably the worst bagel I have ever had and terrible service on top of it.

    (1)
  • Alistair H.

One of the best chain places I've experienced in a long time. A must if you're ever in Boston looking for a cheap lunch. The Bagels are as good as it gets, fresh and chewy. I highly recommend the smoked salmon and cream cheese.

    (4)
  • Rachel U.

Finagle's bagels are my favorite in Boston: big, doughy, tasty, lots of flavors to choose from. And you can't do better than a name like that =) I've tried some of their non-bagel options at the location near work (1 International Place) and haven't been too impressed; the pasta was overcooked and kind of grossed me out, the flatbread pizza is okay but not really worth the wait. I mostly stick to a 'healthy egg' & cheese on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel, as a cheap "brunch" option on a lazy Sunday, eat it upstairs and people-watch out to Copley Square. Good 'nuff for me.

  • Jon H.

I go here pretty often to pick up bagels for my team at work, so they do a good job of accommodating my large orders (dozen or so everytime, with two/three cream cheeses and six or seven ojs). They're wicked fast in preparing everything (using that conveyor knife), and they do a good job to get you in and out fast. The bagels are always warm to the touch (the bag lets loose such a great smell inside my car i usually chomp on one while driving to wherever the client is). Days when we're in the office just down the street a few buddies and me will always head down and get two bagels (one sandwich, one with cream cheese) and chomp down with a oj so that we can work through lunch and leave work early. Good talk team.

    (4)
  • Steve F.

Simple, but good and quick. Not the biggest selection of bagels or breakfast options, but what they had was very tasty. I had the standard egg cheese and bacon bagel, and it was quite tasty and filling. There was a limited amount of seating out on the sidewalk, but upstairs was a nice and spacious dining area. The bagel slicer conveyor belt was a neat addition, and fun to watch as the bagels trudged down the line to their impending doom at the hands of a whirling blade of death (not to be melodramatic).

  • Kristin S.

I'll start by owning up to the fact that I live on Long Island, about an hour from midtown Manhattan. Hence, I'm probably an inadvertant bagel snob. I apologize in advance. On to the review. The bagels were pretty good. They didn't taste like we (boyfriend & I) thought bagels "ought" to, but were tasty nonetheless. Good size - filling, but not giant. Interesting texture - again, not the texture of a typical bagel from home (lighter, less chewy, I think). Nice amount/distribution of toppings (onion, salt, etc.) Also, there's a good variety - I happen to think some border on sacrilege, but.... Now, the cream cheese! Again, not what we were used to - less dense - but still tasty. I tried the veggie cream cheese & liked it more than the stuff at my usual bagel place; it has big chunks of veggies! Then I tried the plain, which boyfriend & I both enjoyed. I'd've liked it if I didn't have to re-spread the cheese (invariably a big glob of cheese in the bagel hole, not enough on the bagel), but also realize it's a quick-service place. Along those lines, I once (out of 3 visits) got the wrong cream cheese, but again - things happen. Essentially, I'd give it three stars if not for The Bagel Buzzsaw, which knocked my three up to four. Disturbing, but cool. My boyfriend was hoping they sold "Home of the Bagel Buzzsaw" t-shirts, but alas.... Maybe that's an angle to be pursued - are you listening, Finagle-a-Bagel?

    (4)
  • Marcus C.

Yes, I realize a bagel has approximately the same amount of carbs as four pieces of toast. But sometimes, only a bagel will do the trick - especially one with an egg, cheese and ham on it! I love the scary conveyor belt/bagel murderer that runs across the front of the counter!

    (3)
  • Pete C.

I come here a few times a month for lunch. My favorite sandwich is the Santa Fe Smoked Turkey Melt on a Jalapeno Cheddar bagel. Can you even call it Santa Fe on any bagel but a Jalapeno bagel? Smoked Turkey, Black Beans, Avocado, Raspberry-Pepper Sauce and melted Cheddar...It all just works. You also get a nice piece of fruit (sometimes apples, sometimes oranges). All their creative sandwiches are nutritious, tasty and hearty. They do have great bagels, soft on the inside with a nice chewy crust. Oh and that buzz saw they use is so cool!

    (4)
  • Sarah A.

Finalge, I like you. Your bagels are good. But why, why oh why, do you not have pumpernickel? Pumpernickel, it is whole grain! It is the goodness of the earth! Your competitors have it! It is time for you, dear Finagle to step up to the plate. Where is my pumpernickel bagel, Finagle? Where is it?

    (3)
  • J A.

I've been stopping in here on my way to work and have come to like Finagle. This place is no H&H bagel from NY or Katz's on the Northshore but it gets the job done. Staff is usually friendly, quick and efficient. I love their coveyor belt slicer it's truly incredible.

    (4)
  • Hailey T.

This was close and convenient and I wanted to sit outside. The hot chocolate was good, yes, I was feeling nostalgic, but the bagel, or rather the bagel sandwich I ordered was just ok. Nothing to rave about, but no major complaints other than it was extremely salty (but then again, I'm not a fan of a lot of salt). I wouldn't rule out going there again, but I'm not in a rush to go back either.

    (3)
  • Mike D.

Decent bagels--especially when you're downtown. But the real reason to go? Watching your bagel go down the conveyor belt to get get halved and hucked by the very scary circular saw.

    (3)
  • Katia M.

Not a huge fan of the Finagle coffee, but the bagels are great -- my favorites are the whole wheat varieties, although the honey grain is great as well. They also have very good soups.

    (4)
  • Atrebor B.

I've never been a big fan of bagels but suffered from a sudden craving for one after witnessing a fellow classmate munching on a toasty and crunchy one during a lecture today; with its sesame aroma wafting thru the air. Being the greedy girl that I am (and always is) I decided after much thought and tribulation (due to the voluminous variety) to settle for the "everything" bagel toasted with butter. And it was the best bagel I've ever had (but perhaps being famished had clouded my judgment a bit)! It had a crunchy, crusty exterior with a warm, soft and chewy center at the price of $1.46 (a steal). It was also substantial in diameter and guaranteed to fill you up. I will definitely return and try their other very interesting flavours next time; ie: jalapeno cheddar, triple chocolate chip, garlic & parmesan, chunky vegetable, wild berry just to name a few. Ask them to run the bagel thru the toaster a second time if you like it extra crunchy; which is how I like mine.

  • D M.

This is my favorite downtown breakfast stop when I am working....it's right between where I work and where my boyfriend works, so I often go pick up breakfast if he works early, which is an excuse to get bagels and uppers for me. I haven't had a bagel that I didn't like here, and the coffee is good and strong (not for for Dunks fan), and they have good fruit salad; I haven't had a bad fruit cup there, and it's hard to get a good one in New England in the winter. The downside is that I rarely get out of there without spending $10-15 for an impromptu breakfast, while you can do Dunkin' Donuts for half the price. But the bagels are worth it. I suggest the whole wheat everything, veggie, and jalepeno.....go savory, not sweet!! The only thing I don't like about the experience is the seating upstairs is very dismal, but then again, I don't really sit often. If you go, I would suggest taking your bagel and finding a nice shady spot now that it's officially spring.

  • Felix G.

A good bagel in Boston is hard to find. Finagle makes them fresh in front of you, including the eggs for their breakfast sandwiches, which is what really blows me away. Plus, any place that has a constantly running buzz saw who's sole purpose is to cut bagels in half is a wonderful place to spend part of the morning commute in my book. That said, I'd gladly pay a bit more for better ingredients (those eggs are white as ghosts...and not just regular ghosts, super ecto-plasma filled ghosts). Still, their staff is friendly and accommodating, and you'll see most of the same folks in there every day. Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu, but their bagels are solid (but not New York bagels, sadly).

    (4)
  • A. D.

I enjoyed their bagel cutting machine :) The bagels themselves were average. On a hot Sunday morning, they had not turned up the air and the place was a sauna...which did not make for the most comfortable eating experience.

    (3)
  • Suzanne G.

Solid choice for breakfast in Back Bay. I like their poppyseed, everything, or asiago bagels with jalapeño cream cheese. It has lots of pickled jalapeños and is so good! Their veggie cream cheese is also a good choice! They also have pretty standard breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Take the bagel for a picnic in Copley Square or eat it at a table upstairs.

    (4)
  • Jess P.

Besides the god-awful rat pack ear cancer blasting, the bagels were pretty good! And an extra star for the clever name. They ran outta jalapeño cheddar so I settled for chocolate chip. They have lots of seating upstairs. Bring headphones.

    (4)
  • Anna G.

Yup, it's as good as it looks. Fast enough service for my boss to think I only left my desk for the bathroom.

    (5)
  • Stephan L.

Fresh bagle and fresh ingredients for an excellent start in the day. The bagle-cutting conveyor belp is a lot of fun to watch!

    (5)
  • Mish M.

Bagels were real fresh try the jalapeño cream cheese.! You might want to get there early there was a line out the door on Sunday morning.

    Best coffee in Copley square!

  • Mike M.

My go to place when I want something I know is gonna be amazing!! And the woman behind the counter are the best. All around a great place to have breakfast and lunch.

  • Renato B.

The view from upstairs is great, but service is slow and the place could use better hygiene

    (2)
  • Kayleigh N.

Bagel sandwich was ok. Not bad, but I've had better. The lady ringing me up wasn't too friendly, but everyone else seemed to be. The smoked turkey in my bagel sandwich was delicious, everything was just ok.

  • Shanda K.

We were recently in Boston & found this place close to our hotel. Great service, cheap compared to other places we ate at during the weekend. Loved the french toast bagel with cinnamon cream cheese. The only issue we had was that it did have an onion flavor lingering on it. I didnt mind, but my husband who is anti-onion, was upset about it. Still would recommend it though. We have nothing like this close to our home.

    (4)
  • Ethan R.

    Owner is responsive to complaints.

    (2)
  • Lisa G.

This seems to be a hot spot for bagel sandwiches and coffee. Many menu items come with coffee -- hot or iced. You can make your own bagel (pick your bagel and toppings) or order one from their menu. Fast service. Seating upstairs or on the patio.

    (3)
  • Sarah S.

There was a pine baked into my bagel. Like literally baked in the dough. Disgusting. Egg sandwich was kind of gross besides that fact anyway.

    (1)
  • Tyler M.

Bagels are average quality. Their breakfast sandwiches are very good but tend to be greasy. I go with the finish line and it never disappoints. The coffee is a solid choice and service is much better than mist places in the morning. Finagle is a top choice for a quick filling breakfast that won't leave your wallet empty

    (4)
  • Lynn J.

I ate breakfast here several days a week for the entire first year I moved to the neighborhood! I bought some kind of Groupon so that I could eat half price, making their sandwiches less than $3 each. The bottom line is that their food is good. The sandwiches and Coffee are made fresh and the service is fast too. Take your food upstairs to find fabulous people watching over Boylston Street as well. The Deal: check the wall poster for their weekly deal which is usually a sandwich and coffee for only $4!

    (4)
  • Steven R.

5 people got different bagel combinations, some cheese, some avocado, and some I can't remember. They were all awesome though! Bagels were fresh and the service was really good. The french vanilla coffee was also ballin. This place reminded me of a Panera, but better!

    (5)
  • Christine G.

Had breakfast there this morning. I love their jalapeño cream cheese. The only issue I had was there were a few homeless people hanging around. One of them was walking around barefoot.

    (3)
  • David W.

I love this place for lunch. I come at least 1-2x per week and get the Durango special every time. It is only $5.99 and comes with a drink. Always fresh, the place is clean and the staff is kind. Sit outside on a nice day and enjoy views of the trinity church directly across the street.

Love salmon, red onion, and cream cheese bagels! Can people watch from seating on the second floor.

    (4)
  • Amir F.

Perfect breakfast, The bagel shooting technology was quite intresting ! I tried the special finagle: egg, seasame, feta cheese and tomato. + coffee They were also very freindly and caring.

  • Courtney L.

We ate here because, well, we couldn't find anywhere else serving breakfast nearby!.. but we were pleasantly surprised. They have a much larger menu than I anticipated.. I expected mostly breakfast items and a small sandwich selection like Einstein Bagels or other chains, but this was a lot of options! I ended up with Coolidge Corner without tomato: Eggs, smoked salmon, & scallion cream cheese on a bagel. It was awesome! I adore lox, but I've never had egg on it before.. and after this I don't think I have it without again. Win. Solid, quick breakfast and a surprising amount of actual sitting upstairs.

  • Sarah S.

I am slightly addicted to Finagle A Bagel and for good reason. Fresh ingredients, super fast service, and reasonably priced for downtown Boston. Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Yummy crispy bacon, fresh cracked eggs (not the floppy egg "patty" you get at a Dunkin Donuts) and a lot of great upgrades available. Killer cream cheese as well if eggs aren't your thing. They also have a good selection of sandwiches. While I've had a couple misses (that chipotle chicken sandwich others have slammed here I will agree was underwhelming) most of them are great. My go-to is the Smoke House Club. If you add avocado for $1 to anything it's a generous helping of sliced avocado. Versus other overpriced places in the area (::couTHINKINGCUPgh::) who spread a thin layer of "smashed" avocado for probably the same up-charge. Service is quick and to the point. Exactly what you want on your way into work or on a quick lunch break. Highly recommend checking it out!

    (5)
  • Kristen D.

I go in here at least once a week around lunch time to get a fresh fruit cup. There's usually never a line. $4 for a fruit cup is a pretty good price too.

    (4)
  • Julia F.

Excellent. Exceeded my expectations. The service is very fast. Even with a long line, it took only a few minutes to order and pick up my breakfast. I got a steak breakfast on a blueberry bagel (yes, you read that right). The food was also super tasty, and upstairs there is a very nice area to sit, eat, and watch people on the street.

    (5)
  • Shawn W.

Really good bagels. Best in the area. Enjoy watching your bagel go down the conveyer belt to be sliced by the guillotine. So tasty & fresh! And they still make veggie cream cheese, from scratch.

    (5)
  • Fancypants X.

Thick, doughy roasted garlic bagel, needed a few more seconds under the toaster. Rich, decadent scallion cream cheese, with a mediocre amount of real scallion pieces running throughout. Spread was a little stingy. Finagle has two things going for them. The first is the ceases-to-be-impressive-after-the-first-time conveyer belt. It transports your bagel to the slicer, which then whips & spins it to the other end where toppings are added. We get it, you're fast. Super fast. The second thing is location (location, location.) Outdoor seating lets you behold Boylston's bustling scene -- Copley Square, old churches, & other famous Boston buildings that complete its skyline.

  • Trisha T.

Love this place. Haven't been here in ages and was very excited it was right near our hotel. Got the sesame bagel with chunky veggie cream cheese and it was awesome (I even got a tub of cream cheese to go since we don't live near a Finagle!). My husband got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and enjoyed his as well. Only giving 3 stars here because my husband's feedback on the coffee wasn't good. I had hot chocolate and had no complaints. In summary: good food, coffee is not good.

    (3)
  • Jackie C.

The Beacon Hill Sandwich was amazing!! I had it on wheat instead of what they normally serve it on. I also went here for breakfast a few days later and the bagels are amazing!!

    (4)
  • Mark C.

A great little place with competent staff and really tasty bagels. I had the lox and cream cheese on a toasted onion bagel. Just the right proportion of ingredients made this sandwich a hit. There's a comfortable eating space upstairs overlooking Copley park.

    (4)
  • Danni D.

Perfectly fine bagel sandwich. Efficient staff, yada, yada, yada. This place's charm is not in its food (and I swear to God it is definitely not in its coffee). Rather, it's in the view. Head upstairs after you get your food, and plop down to my favorite view in Boston - the old historic Trinity Church in the foreground, with the magnificent John Hancock tower just behind it. The blending of architecture come together in Copley Square like nowhere else (with the possible exception of the pyramid and the Louvre...though I'm still undecided if I actually like that combo).

    (3)
  • Melissa J.

If you're a NYer these soft bagels barely cut it. BUT that's made up for with authentic choices and premium ingredients. Solid stop!

  • Marina R.

One of the worst sandwiches I've had in a long time. But since I've had their bagels in the past, I think it's fair to give them a two star review instead of the one I was very much leaning towards. First of all, the guys taking orders up front were a bit snappy with me... all I was doing was asking simple questions like "is this sandwich grilled"? No need for an attitude ridden response jerkoffs! And PS- it wasn't at all - but it was under the "grilled and melted" sandwiches list. Ummmmmm? Second, I ordered the CHIPOTLE CHICKEN BACON MELT (Grilled chicken breast, bacon, tomato, cheddar cheese & chipotle mayo). Sounds amazing right? WRONG! This was one of the most tasteless and dry sandwiches I've had in a long time. I can't even describe how boring it was. Never ever again! It was also over $8 bucks, what a waste of mula. If you can't do that right... I'm sure you can't do anything right. Toasting a bagel is easy so at least you have that going for you. There are a zillion other bagel/sandwich shops I could go to, so after this experience it's safe to say I'd never return again.

    (2)
  • Kiana M.

I ordered a BLT and it was amazing! The ingredients all tasted fresh and the bacon was crisp. The prices here can be a bit pricey but in moderation, it is worth it! There is great AC and wi-fi. There is seating outside and additional upstairs. There was lots of tables and chairs available. A cute touch was that they put a mini chocolate in my bag for after my sandwich. I will definitely be returning (:

Best bagels everrrr! and their sandwiches aren't bad either. But really, this place has bagels down to a science. You even get to see the bagels zoom down a moving platform through the slicer. It's so amusing! This place is almost always packed, but the orders are moved along pretty quickly. I visit this place often and will continue to do so.

The food is excellent!!! I'm didn't give a fifth star because the ladies who prepare the food can sometimes be a little bitchy. They should work on that because I consider not going there sometimes.

Love that they open so early. These bagels are fresh, warm and soft! So many to choose from along with a variety of cream cheeses. This location has a great view from the second floor. The staff here is also friendly. They have a pretty cool bagel slicer which is entertaining. Great stop for breakfast or an afternoon snack!

Finagle - you really need to open up a store in NYC. Yes, now that H&H is gone, there are NO good bagels left in this city. Finagle - you are the best. Come here.. I bet you'll make it!

Great bagels! Fresh eggs...,not that junk you get at other places. Good coffee. Prices, for the area, are not bad.

It's a nice looking place. I had the egg sandwich for breakfast, and it was delicious. I would come back here again just for that.

(score 1-100) - 68. During the summer I eat once a day here. Let me start off by saying the have the world's greatest bagel slicer or baddest bagel cutter in existence. It is a saw that shoots the bagels down 15 feet to the prepper. Even if you aren't hungry, head down to Boylston street to see this mechanical menace. Good food, the pressed sandwiches are decent. Soups are on the basic side. The club sandwich specials are always the best deal as far as food quantity to dollar spent. Tip: The second floor is one of the best places in Boston to people watch during lunch. Tip2: Use their rewards program, also keep an eye for the finagle discount cards that come up through the Groupon type sites. I prepurchased over a thousand dollars in Finagle food. If you use both you will only pay 40 cents on the dollar. Every 6 dollar sandwich would cost me 3.60 each. Can't beat this deal!

The shop wasn't even busy when I came in one early morning for my first Finagle experience. Ordered an everything bagel w/jalepeno cream cheese spread. Except it wasn't spread onto my bagel...more like it was plopped onto one slice and the slices were pressed together. Now everyone has their preferences but I enjoy eating the slices of my cream cheese bagel as separates, and not like a sandwich. After my commute to work, I was hungry and ready to devour my breakfast. I opened up the neat wrapper and was disappointed at how sloppily the bagel was put together. We all know we eat with our eyes first. On top of that, the taste of the bagel itself was not impressive, nor was the cream cheese. What a disappointment.

I much prefer local bagel shops than this. Got a turkey ciabatta - good, but nothing special. Service was fast at least. I'm not gonna lie - I think just seeing the $6 soup just really turned me off...soup should be cheap, unless it is gourmet or something!

Finagle a Bagel !! I can't stop saying this, over n over... There's a machine that brings the bagel down a conveyor belt and then slices the bagel in half and accelerates it to super-sonic-speeds down to the end of the line. it has captivated me. They really need to bring this down South (to texas)!

During our visit to Boston last fall, we had one go-to spot daily for breakfast! This was the place, I love everything about it. The bagel slicer, the bagels themselves, the location, the feel, just everything about this place makes me smile:)! I can't wait for this fall when I can visit again for 5 days in a row!

My fiancé and I were staying in Boston a couple weeks ago and decided to come here. We walked in and ordered two normal breakfast sandwiches and had to repeat our order three times because the girl didn't understand. Next after we paid she told us they didn't have any more onion bagels which was weird since it was 10am on a Sunday. When we got our sandwiches we were extremely disappointed! For starters my boyfriend didn't get half the stuff he asked for on his bagel and secondly his cheese was if it just came out of the fridge.... Gross. I ordered an asiago cheese bagel with just bacon... I coulda got a better bagel and sandwich at DD. my bagel was so plain ugh so disappointing and my bacon literally fell apart! As a bacon lover this was such a let down ... Bacon should rip apart not fall apart! Anyway as a New Yorker who knows her bagels I would suggest to stay away. :(

5 stars for how captivating that bagel conveyor belt/cutter is. i was obsessed. i literally stood there for 5 minutes just staring at it. a little voice inside my head was telling me i should convince everyone online to order a bagel just so i can witness another grand performance. you can throw the bagel on the belt at any angle, it will straighten out without fail, go through the circular blade (which is always on!) and it will come FLYING through on to the other side perfectly sliced. so amazing!!! as for the blueberry bagel i had, it wasn't even good. wasn't toasted enough. but who cares about the bagels, COME HERE FOR THE BAGEL CUTTER!!

Finagle on Boylston just got a little make-over. It looks great - more seating upstairs and they just put out the little tables out on patio for outside seating as well. As always - I'm in love with their bagels. My fave is the egg bagel toasted with lox spread. Can't go wrong with the Santa Fe Melt (Smoked Turkey, Cheddar, Smoky Black Bean Salsa, Avocado & Pepper-Berry Sauce). I'm happy to report that BJs Wholesale Club now carries Finagle-A-Bagels in their bakery section! So excited!!! Now...if I could only get one of those mechanical ramps with a high-powered slicer for my kitchen...

I would never review this place for bagels because they are all the same and how do you get a bagel wrong anyways. I will review this god awful place for its chicken sandwhich. I should have known that a bagel shop could not serve a decent sandwhich. I had to be out of my mind like Kanye West during the Grammy Awards to go here. The chicken was the most dry, unseasoned, tasteless carcass I have ever tasted in my life. Even if it is grilled, there should be a little juice in it. With a drink, you are spending $9.50. You have to be a relative of Bernie Madoff to charge a price like that for crap like that. Needless to say, I will not be going back. And another thing, why the hell do they give you a little piece of chocolate with your sandwhich. I would rather have a good chicken sandwhich.
