Service is worse compared to the other Chinatown location. We go here because this is the only store that let's you use the Groupon. Drinks are still good and they hand shake them too.

Chatime is my favorite boba tea place in Boston, better than Kung Fu tea, better than Boston Tea Stop. There is a huge variety of flavored tea drinks to choose from. My favorite so far is the red bean milk tea with boba and the roasted green milk tea. Because it just opened recently, the place is usually less crowded than the other Chinatown location. The store is clean and the service is fast. The staff, however, is sometimes not very attentive. I feel like they avoid talking to their customers as much as possible.

For the Boba tea enthusiast, this place will simply not suffice. The Boba is only available in one size and flavor, and the milk tea was a bit lackluster on the taste front. Overall the service was excellent and it was very clean inside. The menu needs more pearl - friendly options, and the cost is a variable issue.

I came for the BOGO deal offered for the grand opening. It is located underneath the Asian video store. The passionfruit tea was very light and refreshing if you ordered it without ice and 80% sugar. The lychee black tea tastes like a melted lychee jello. The people who work there are friendly and welcome you in Mandarin. The table tops for the booths are bolted to the wall preventing no space to sit at the booths comfortably. The bathroom is clean for an Asian bubble tea shop but be careful using the hook to hang your belongings as it is loosely nailed to the door.

It's easy, the only choice you need to worry about is which Chatime to go to! Best bubble tea in Boston.

So far I have only gotten the earl grey milk tea and the hazelnut milk tea and both have been delicious! I typically go for the less sugar option so the flavors stand out more yum! The decor is super nice and have three booths. They could just a bit more options for tables as it seems like a great place to hang out with free wifi but it would just get to crowded with the limited seating.

This location is way bigger than the other Chatime in Chinatown, so it's definitely nice that there's more room instead of being crammed in a tiny area. I can't wait for the Chatime to open in Allston! I love Chatime and I have nothing bad to say about the milk tea. I love that their milk tea seems more tea based than milk (Kungfu tea is just too "milky" for my taste). I love the jasmine green milk tea with boba, 1/2 sugar! YUMM. Tried the taro milk tea and its different than anything I've had before, tastes more "real" than the fake taro powder, which is definitely a plus! Reason why I'm giving 3 stars is that at this location, the service was really slow. Pretty sure we waited 30 minutes until we got our orders... It definitely shouldn't take that long!

Not sure why this place takes 20 mins when Kungfu tea takes literally 3 mins for their drinks. Pudding was good though.

Same great taste and quality as the original Cha time in Chinatown, except this place has larger tables and booths so it's better for bigger parties! Since it's new-ish this location usually isn't as crowded and the drinks come out faster. I like my drinks less sweet so I always order my drinks at 30% sugar... The only quirky thing about this place is that it's on the basement level so you have to walk down some steps to get here... Service is just as friendly as the other location and they also have WiFi!

New location for Chatime in Chinatown and it's much better! For one, it's a bigger location with ample seating. You don't have to rush to get out and can actually spend some time in a "coffee shop" type setting. We did wait for 10-15 for a new batch of boba jelly to be made, but didn't mind because it was fresh!

LOL how are they going to say that they close at 12 but kicks my friends and I out at 11:22?!!!!! I could hear the manager speak in Chinese saying how my friends and I are taking too long to leave so an employee kicked us out! Around 11:15 two people came into chatime and they cashier told them they were closed. so yeah don't even bother coming here when they're too lazy to make business.

Nice and comfortable, consistent quality, best place for an afternoon tea! They also HAND SHAKE all drinks!!

Chatime has consistently good bubble tea. This location opened a few weeks ago, is downstairs, smaller, and limited seating (a few booths). The floor was fairly clean, still dusty! Our party ordered a small Mango Green Tea with Rainbow Jelly and a large Pearl Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly, which were delicious as usual. I like how they ask how much sugar you'd like (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) and the amount of ice (no ice, light ice, regular ice)!!!

This store is a bit more tucked away than the main Chinatown branch, but this is the place to go! I love leading people to this store and watching the surprise on their faces when they see how short the line is. Moreover, there's almost always a free booth at this location. The booths seat about 4-5 snugly and are the perfect place for a catch up over bubble tea. This location plays great music - always makes for a great atmosphere. It is sometimes a bit loud though. If you're ordering in English, be prepared to repeat your order once or twice. They've never made the wrong drink for me but there have certainly been times where I've had to clarify my order a few times. They're great at making accommodations here, as per the Taiwanese standard, with adjustments on ice and sugar (half/third/etc.). I would definitely recommend trying the taro bubble tea here, as they make it from real taros instead of powder. You can taste the taro pieces in the bubble tea. They also have great seasonal offerings as well as jelly or pudding in drinks instead of tapioca, if that's not your thing! Would definitely suggest this Chatime over the other location. Definitely amongst the best bubble tea and atmosphere in Chinatown.

This place has poor customer service. I was waiting to order my drink, but the workers kept cleaning up as I was standing there. I ordered the brown rice milk tea, but I wanted it made with black tea. The worker rudely told me they can't do that, even though I was able to order that at a Chatime in Sydney, Australia. I settled for the brown rice milk tea made with green tea with boba, and it was not bad. It turns out that there was no more milk black tea for the day, and I wish the worker would have told me that in the beginning.

Chatime is my favorite bubble tea place! The hot milk teas are excellent, especially the Red Bean Pearl Milk Tea, which is a mix of red bean congree and pearl milk tea. The roasted milk tea is very authentic as well. My only complaint is the poor service and lack of professionalism among some of the staff. My cashier ignored me for several minutes before taking my order because she was too busy chatting with another customer who happened to be her friend. In addition, I came for the BOGO, but my credit card was overcharged by $2.25. For some reason reason, the cashier told me there was nothing she could do. After bringing up the issue with another staff member, she begrudgingly gave me $1.88 in coins.

What is it with all these chatimes and their terrible lack of seating? The place is modestly small and only has a few tables. If it gets busy, then it's unlikely you'll get a seat. However, like all chatimes, their drinks are great, and I'm a huge fan!

If I could give this 0 stars... I would. On the website and on Yelp, it states that they close at 12AM everyday. Since it was a weekday and my friends and I were sick of going to TeaDo, we decided to go to Chatime to grab a drink. Upon arriving a little before 11PM, the managers were seated in a booth and were talking very loud. There was no music playing, and no one greeted us. The cashier just stood there and stared at us as we were looking at the menu. I ordered the Strawberry Watermelon Cooler and a Kiwi Lemonade and they were both so sweet to the point where my teeth hurt when I drank it. About 10 minutes after ordering and getting our drinks, a couple came in and the staff informed them that they were closed. I was confused because it was about 11:15 at the time and there was still 45 minutes until 12. My friends and I continued to sit and talk as we enjoyed our super sweet drinks and then the managers from the back proceeded to get up with their bags and inform us that they were closed. By this time it was about 11:22. It wasn't even 11:30 yet and they were already kicking us out of a store that's supposed to be opened until 12AM. Poor customer service all around and rude management. I will be going back to TeaDo from now on.

I like this place and it's not as claustrophobic as their place on Harrison Ave. You can customize your drink for the amount of sugar and ice. And their bubble tea drinks taste good. I'll be back.

I might still come back to this place, but right now it's got two strikes based on my experiences last night. (1) They were out of bobas when I visited, which seems like such a default thing to have, and (2) I definitely got sick from the milk they put in my drink last night. A friend and I went out last night with two other folks, and we shared our dinners. But, my friend and I were the only ones to step into Cha Time for bubble tea after dinner, and we both experienced stomach problems like 2 hrs after dinner (while the other people in our party didn't). So, be wary of the milk here - I'm hoping that this was an isolated incident and not a regular problem for Cha Time. Will try one more time and write an update here later.
