I definitely think I go here more out of laziness then anything else. Here's what I like: - The Salads - Olive Oil Vinaigrette Salad Dressing - Asiago Breadsticks and Bagels -Chocolate Croissants Here's What I don't like: - The Coffee - Salads are overpriced - The Chicken Noodle Soup is tasty but it is so salty. After you eat it you'll have drymouth and will be dehydrated for hours.

Love their vegan soup. My co-workers love the turkey hot pressed sandwich. The set up in there is weird, you are standing in line to pay for your food right where the soup stand is. It's awkward. I wish they would change the set up but then again, it's just lunch so get in, eat and get out.

Overpriced. Soup's never hot, always warm. They close early during the week and are closed on the weekend. The guy that shouts your name for your sandwich during lunch rush hour is friendly. Sometimes you get a friendly cashier, sometimes you don't. Nothing to be impressed about. The end. My suggestion: Go to Cosi, same food, better price & there's a rewards card!

This is a great spot for lunch for the the choices and it's a great place for a bunch of people to go where everyone can find something. They have at least 7 delicious options for soup; 2-3 of these are vegetarian. I'm a bigger fan of ABP since they started offering macaroni and cheese, which can be a little on the soupy side, but a great comfort on grey winter days. The caprese (used to be the mozzarella and tomato) sandwich is great. There's a great number of yummy salads too. The drink options are so tasty - the mocha blast, which I know all too well, is a must try.

Nice place with good food. Had the broccoli and cheese soup with a baguette and some oyster crackers. Was taking some pictures of the place, but was (kindly) warned afterwards that taking pictures is not allowed. The selection for pastries and bagels is significantly smaller at this Au Bon Pain than a lot of the other ones, so that was a minus one star for me. Free wifi and plenty of seating though. Good for if you just want something quick on your lunch break.

This Au Bon Pain is located slightly subterranean down a couple of steps on the corner of State and Kilby. I stopped by because they had a really tempting chalkboard advertising the croisbun as "Flakey Croissant Meets Buttery Bunz" - Yum! Yup, croisbuns 2 for $4, two weeks in a row. $2.69 for 1. Their oatmeal raisin cookies ($1.39) were pretty good too.

I've been here only once, but here's my experience: 5 stars for taste, 2 stars for running out of coffee and taking forever to replenish it (and needing to be asked twice because they forgot the first time), 4 stars for adapting to line length quickly. My asiago bagel was soft and yummy, as it usually is (that's pretty much the only reason I go here), and the coffee, once it was finally replenished, was good. I was a little disappointed that the woman checking me out didn't comp me for the coffee (or charge me for a smaller size), since she was the one who forgot the coffee. I'd go back; I imagine when the coffee is available I could be in and out quickly.

Good spot for a quick snack, coffee or breakfast. I love their oatmeal and all the condiments to add to it. It's right across the street from my office and hits the spot.

This place is good for soup like others have said, my favorite is broccoli cheese. I get a hunk of bread and a drink and I'm set for lunch. They have tons of sandwiches, bowls of rice with meat in them, and these awesome little snacks I guess you would call them. My favorite is the grapes, herb cheese and crackers. But if you add everything up it can get a little expensive. So I stick to soup most of the time. I've also had their Chicken Noodle which is decent. It's kind of an awkward serve yourself set up but if you go in when it's no busy there's no problem. Definitely convenient on a cold day since it's right out the door of my office!

I go to this Au Bon Pain a lot since I work in the area. Today I purchased a large soup and a large lemonade and place into a paper bag, no big deal. WRONG!! I made it half way to my building and the bag ripped and my soup and lemonade was all over the street. So I picked it up went back to Au Bon Pain and got the same items. When I went to the register and I told the cashier (which was the Manager since his outfit was different) that my bag ripped and that I did not need a bag. The cashier must have seen the embarrassment on my face and told me it was my lucky day and not to worry about paying again. It was a very nice gesture even though I explained to him that is was my fault, he told me no big deal and sent me on my way. Great customer service and my food was delicious!

During my stay in Boston, it did nothing but pour rain all over my face. Seeking shelter, I ducked inside of this cafe hoping to devour some tasty goodies. Much to my dismay, I discovered that it was very much a mediocre attempt to mimic the cute European cafes. I ordered a sandwich that sounded delicious, and it was just alright. The lady from which I ordered didn't speak a word to me (or anybody else, after observing) or even acknowledge that I had asked her a question. She was extremely rude and my sandwich was extremely mediocre (and way too expensive for what I received). In addition to the very poor service and the lame sandwich, the ambiance was on par with that of a high school cafeteria. So much for cute little European cafe. I was very disappointed, and will never return to this chain.

The staff is absolutely incompetent. Advice to owners: Always paying minimum wage will not get you good staff. Eventually the cheapness will catch up with the service you provide, which is cheap and unacceptable.

This is my one post - 3PM place to get lunch at work. I usually go here on Thursdays because that is the day that I have a silly conference call that starts at 1:30 and goes forever. I never remember to eat before it so ABP is my savior! Enough about me. Most every ABP is the same, this one included. You can get anything you get at the other ABPs. They rely heavily on the "mark your order on this large sheet of paper" method which I really don't like because it just seems like a waste. But I always forgive them there trespasses because I love the Smoked Turkey Club. The herb mayonnaise is magical. I also love the Wild Mushroom Bisque and practically ran out of my office yesterday when I heard that it was on the menu that day.

I love the Broccoli cheddar soup here, and the bread stick. I go there whenever i feel like soup for lunch. They have the best soup selection in the financial district. I love their breadsticks too, rosemary oh and try the corn bread! Yum. They also have the staple sandwiches, but for that i perfer cosi as i like their bread better. There is seating area in the back. This place is packed during lunch but you can get in and out quickly.

Cut to me cursing the alarm clock as it blinks 6:30! 6:30! 6:30! *Moan & Groan* Spending too much time trying to find a song in my iTunes that might jazz me up for the day, decide on "Sexy Results" Mstrkrft's remix of Death from Above....and wind up falling into my closet while trying to jump into a pair of pants. But where are my keys? Oh, they're in the couch? Yeah, that was a good, safe place to put those. Now headphones..headphones...headphones....oh, underneath that pile of jeans and socks? GATCHA! It's one of THOSE mornings. The kind of morning where you start to semi regret spending the night out, getting whiplash to your favorite DJ, and having beer spilt all over your sneakers, and getting home at 4am to sneak in 2 hours of sleep before work. Your hair is a mess, but you need to shower, and your roommates are dominating both bathrooms. Guess it's a pomade kind of morning, much like most others. These are the sacrifices one must make in order to have an unhealthy, thrilling social life in the city. Maybe you don't know why there's a sombrero hanging off your doorknob or why your phone has 12 missed calls, but you've done this before, and it's become a walk in the park in comparison to waking up with say...the flu...or diphtheria. The way into work is long and painful, but inevitably ends in the same destination....The ABP across the street from work. I know that my asiago bagel with cream cheese will always cost $2.09, which boxes to check off on the order sheet, and that I will be delivered a tasty bagel with a perfect amount of cream cheese smothered between it's halves. If it's an especially terrible morning to contemplate your existance, it's an asiago bagel with sausage, egg, and cheddar kind of day where it's greasyness is enough to weigh down your stomach and cause you to abstain from any post drunk intestinal backlash. The staff is helpful, friendly, and requires no direct supervision from me when preparing my breakfast. In fact, most of the time I can just remove a headphone and let them know that they can "keep the penny and the receipt".

Cold Soup today - several managers and camera crew standing around the "still cramped and unorganized" food ordering areas. No one greeted us or said have a nice day. Not sure what has happened to customer service. You would expect with the management running around you would go out of your way to at least pretend to be concerned with your customers. Will go to Panera from now on for my Broccoli Cheddar Soup...

This is one of the best au bon's in boston in my opinion. It is very organized and no matter how many people (which can sometimes be allot around noon) your order always comes within 2 minutes. Paying for your food is also pretty quick with 4 registers open during peak hours. I recommend the chicken mozzarella sandwich. Oh, and if you get there after 1, be aware you may not get your first choice of bread. They tend to run out of some.
