FIRST OFF, The Banh Mi Nola was bangin. They don't use pate but it does not matter -so good! The vermicelli bowl had more veggies than most other places but thats fine with me, boyfriend however is not into veggies. This place is nice inside and clean. Will be going back.

You know, I can't believe I haven't done a review of this place yet. I've been coming here for years. This past year, my boyfriend and I have frequented this place. He's very picky about his Pho. The broth has to have enough flavor on its own without having to add anything. So Pho NOLA just hits the spot for him. I love ordering the soup & sandwich combo here. It's one of the very few places in town that offers it. You can choose any regular Banh mi you want and any regular pho you want. If you get combination Banh mi or combination pho, there's an up charge. However, still worth it. Most of the time the pho fills me up, and I only get to take a few bites of the sandwich. I always take It home though. It's perfect to get a small taste of both of the Vietnamese classics. The Com Bo Luc Lac, the Pho Nola, the Mi Xao Mem, the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong are all good. All cooked to perfection! The Nola rolls are a great twist on regular spring rolls. It's like a spring roll with a mini egg roll inside. Soft to the bite with a mini crunch inside. The staff is also professional and sweet. All the ladies are very nice. They somehow manage to take your order without ever writing anything down! Yen is usually our waitress and she's the sweetest. Trang and Erica are awesome too! Overall, the service is great, appetizers on point, dishes superb, and the boba tea is sweet without being overpowering! Red bean is my favorite.

Located just off the busy Veterans Boulevard, Pho Nola is a popular lunch option in Metairie. You seat yourself and a server will be out quickly to greet you and take your drink order. They cater to the business lunch crowd and the servers work with a sense of urgency. It didn't take long for our food to come out and our server was on top of refills the whole time. I got the beef pho and it was really good and flavorful. One of the better pho dishes I have had. I asked if it could be modified as far as heat goes and he told me no, but could bring peppers to the table. Not a problem since I'm sure they do this to keep the serve time quick. My friend got the pad thai and while it didnt taste like traditional pad thai that you would get at a Thai restaurant, their twist on it was pretty darn good! Also, a decent sized portion for lunch. We both had some leftover. For a quick and inexpensive lunch that isnt fast food, this is a great option for those that work in the burbs.

I think this great but definitely hyped up. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I can see why. For so many years, Metairie was known to be a "very white" and a restaurant of this nature was unheard of. I'm glad PhoNola is around. You should try it if you haven't. My only problem is that Vietnamese food has much more to offer than just Pho. Hopefully their menu will expand in the future. I gave it four stars in a gesture of support to this type of business in this neighborhood but if a Ba-chi and pho place opens next door ... You guys are in big trouble. Lol

I was there last week, pho was ok. Service was slow. Probably would not eat there again. Do not recommend.

Great place and friendly staff! Went to find a nice brunch spot for my friends as they were visiting from out of town and this place was it! The different selection of teas were very refreshing and the food came out great!

Visiting from Austin, TX who tried many awesome Pho in Washington State & Texas. I was searching for a good Pho restaurant. I saw the reviews on Yelp, we decided to give it a try. So five of us decided to try Pho NOLA. When we tried Pho Orchid, we were pretty disappointed. To recover our disappointment, hoping this place would be better than Pho Orchid. This place was packed during lunch time. we were lucky to find a table for 5. We were served by a server name John. Here is what I thought of this place: Tried many awesome Pho & I have to say Pho NOLA was far far better than Pho Orchid. Service from John was amazing. He was smiling whole time, make sure we get what we need & double checking by asking us if we need anything. Food: It was very fresh & delicious. If I have to pick few things... I had char grill pork for vermicelli dish. Little too much fat & little too chewy. Flavor can be little more marinated flavor but it was light flavor. I requested to not have noodle, just salad which was very fresh. Also Had pork spring rolls, rice paper was little too dry but I enjoyed it. I didn't try pho so I am not so sure how pho is like but I know I am coming back to definitely try pho. Oh, I also tried Thai tea with tapioca. Thai tea was little too sweet & less tea flavor for me. All my coworkers just loved their food & they told me to pick lunch restaurant from now on. At the end, my lunch was $21 including tip. Again, I am not a good tipper but I gave John more than 20% which in my book, he rocks! (no I am not related to him what so ever. LOL)

I love this place! The people are super friendly. And the food is amazing. The NOLA rolls: an egg roll inside of a spring roll, are so good! So are the egg rolls, spring rolls and dumplings. The soups are all great, the beef stew is the best I've had at any Vietnamese restaurant, the crispy birds nest is also the best I've had at any Vietnamese restaurant. The rice dishes are delicious and enhanced with the option of adding fried rice. Everything is great!

If you love Pho, and you are within 2 hours of this place, do yourself a favor and go and check them out. This place hace everything, great location, good parking, very clean and nice space, incredible service and off the chain great food. I have no doubt but I am absolutely certain that I will come back many many times. See you soon Pho Nola!

This place by far is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. I moved back to my home town (ft Lauderdale) and I've been looking for a place like Pho Nola, but nothing has come close. You can't go wrong with anything on there menu!!

Loved Pho NOLA! As a West Banker, I don't often travel far for Vietnamese food, but I met up with my boyfriend in Metairie for lunch one day and got the chance to try something new. My recommendation: the Vietnamese take on a soup and sandwich combo. No more having to chose between a flakey, delicious bahn mi and a hot bowl of pho. Now you can have both, and still in very large portions! Everything was fresh (a must when you're building the perfect bowl of pho) and the service was quick which is always important for a work-day lunch. I'd love to come back the next time I'm in the area!

Of all the pho places I've been to around the area. 'Pho NOLA' has to be my favorite! I know that because I go here at least once or twice a week. Just can't stay away from this place, the food is just that good! Wait staff is also always attentive and on point. First, to start I always tend to get their appetizers if I'm super hungry. I've tried all of their different spring rolls they were delicious. Recently though, I tried their pan fried dumpling and it was also amazing. It didn't taste like it was packaged or frozen prior to being made. Everything here is made fresh to order. Can't go wrong with fresh. As for entree, I ALWAYS order the same thing everything when I go here. What is it? The 'Soup & Sandwich' combo. It comes with a good sized Pho (rare steak, brisket, meatball) with your choice of any of their po-boys! I get the Pho with Brisket and their combinatorial po-boy. All that for only $9.50! Can't beat a price like that! Lastly, if you're in the mood for dessert their boba teas do not disappoint either. They have their own speciality boba teas or you can get which ever fruity combo that you'd like. Not to mention they have tapioca, jellies and popping boba to add to it. Good food here and good prices. Win. Win! & that is why this restaurant is GREAT. 5 stars in my book.

Of all the pho places in Metairie I feel like this one is Best, just saaaiiyannnnn. Good waitstaff, they don't skimp out on eggrolls by giving you just two for like 5 dollars or tiny bite size eggrolls from the freezer pack I be like "like umm.. No." I fux with their eggrolls. And who can turn down pho and Banh Mi deal? Best deal ever and their Banh mi is pretty good. Their pho Bo Kho was prob the best decision I ever made there bc I HATE... LOOOOATHE Bo Kho like don't ever come around me with that let alone bring those two words up by me bc I hate Bo Kho. BUT! I felt adventurous that day so I was like what the heck, let's go for it. Man.. The beef was so tender I mean.. It was just soooo tender AND it's served with pho noodles? MmMph! Bo Kho has hope after all. It's given me some time rethink my relationship with Bo Kho. Okay okay seriously though let me stop goofing around, when I'm in Metairie, Pho Nola is my spot. They've got good music playing, diff kinds of bubble tea flavors that are good and MILK teA (my favvvvv), the waitstaff is patient and very nice, and everything I suggested above as well. Let's just hope the food continues to be good or even better bc that's the key factor!

Fast, inexpensive, convenient, great food, place is clean=busy at lunch. Thanks Kim for great service. Will be back! Had shrimp and pork spring rolls with peanut sauce, pork belly steamed bun, chai tea boba drink, and pork banh to go. Ate it all too fast to photograph. :)

  • Stephanie D.

Creative bubble tea flavors also choose your own. The place is always full of adoring customers. Large menu offering bun, rice plates, bahn mi and pho. My favorite is the Saigon crepe, it's a huge serving great for splittable appetizer or splittable entree packed with shrimps and veggies. Makes me happy! Beef stew is my dad's favorite. Delectable rich meal servers are quick and very accommodating. Consider picking up for a dinner to go also very thing comes packed well and fresh and very hot !

  • Alex R.

I had the Pho Nola (rare steak, brisket, beef tendon & tripe) and it was delicious! My only reserve is that I am used to the broth being piping hot in temperature and this was not... I will definitely be back though!

This is a hidden little Gem in Metaire!!! The boba tea was amazing and the food was excellent. Also the inside is super cute with cool artwork. The staff was super nice and I had great service!! I will be back.

Ew. Sick of the terrible service at Fusion Cafe, so we decided to try Pho Nola, ordered Rare Steak Pho and Seafood and Coconut and HoneyDew bubble tea.... I have never met a pho I didnt like... until now. The broth was perfumey... as in, flowery and fruity, very strange taste, unexpected. The noodles tasted like they were stored in a plastic bag, they had a chemical kind of melted plastic taste. The shrimp were big and the coconut tea was good, honeydew was pretty bad and the tapioca balls were very warm which was also pretty odd. Def. won't eat here again. Didn't realize you could mess up pho, but apparently you can.... :/

I decided to give this place another try and boy have they improved from the last time I ate there!! Brisket pho was super yummy, thai tea was delicious, tofu spring rolls were yummy, too! They REALLY improved a lot! I keep wanting to come back here now! Everything is so good! Poboys, teas, pho, rice dishes, spring rolls... the list goes on. Service is always great and the restaurant is always nice and clean. Great job Pho Nola!

Great pho in a very convenient Metairie location. Banh mi and small pho is such a perfect combo! The staff is always friendly and speedy. Everything I have ordered is so good, but I always come back to the pho.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the New Orleans area. I like that it's clean, hip, and delicious. The food is great and the service is quick. Parking isn't a nightmare like at other restaurants and the menu is very broad.

EDIT 08/15/14 Went back today. Menu items I tried: Spring rolls Lemongrass chicken banh mi Thai Tea Full sized brisket pho Thoughts: I officially am in love with this place. Oh snaaaap the lemongrass chicken banh mi was SO GOOD .So, surprisingly, was the thai tea. I did not expect much from this place's boba. ( I recommend asking for half sugar). Full sized brisket wasn't much different in meat quantity than the small size. I think I will pass on the pho from now on because, while it is good, the banh mi are a much better value. Oh, and the spring rolls could be a meal on its own. They are just as good as people say. I know someone complained that there was no mint in it, but I actually like it better that way. PS Can I say again that prices are amazing?! A banh mi is cheaper than subway! ---- I had the soup and sandwich combo. It comes with a banh mi of your choice with pho of your choice. I chose the pork banh mi and pho with brisket. The banh mi was a full sandwich, not just the half I expected. The pho was about half the size of a normal bowl. Disappointingly, it only came with a couple slices of meat, but that may be due to the combo. In terms of taste, both were delicious. It also filled me up and more; not a bad value for $10! There is plenty of parking (always a boon in my book). The service was also good. At lunch hour, we were seated and served promptly. However, one incident confused me. At one point, the waitress brought a to-go box for me before we had asked for the check. It may have simply been a service gesture since I had stopped a steady eating flow. I did end up using the box, so it didn't matter. However, it also felt a bit like she was pushing us to finish and leave. I did not see a reason for that. We weren't disturbing anyone (to my knowledge), and the place was not full. If anyone from Pho NOLA reads this, I ask that she not do that in the future, unless there is a reason.

What a PHObulous find! (Last time I do that in this review, I promise). Pho NOLA is fortunately tucked into the same parking lot as Gulf Coast Bank at the Kenner/Metairie border. It was a reluctant trip to the bank, I cannot lie. But lunch here made up for the inconvenience. The prices are right and the tofu spring rolls are just bursting with thick, fried strips of tofu plus all the veggie & herb faves, wrapped up into precious little bundles that I seriously *crave*! And served along with the requisite peanut sauce. Add in some hot chili sauce and soy sauce (you have to ask for it) and you've got an utterly satisfying and delicious lunch in the range of 6 bucks! The banh mi is even cheaper and yes, there are vegetarian options on the menu. Next time I am forced to go out to that branch of my bank, I won't be kicking & screaming, I'll tell you that much!

Its me, not you. We're over I'm ready to announce that this type of food is just not for me. I just dint like it. We ordered a variety of items on different occasions and I leave unsatisfied every time. We ordered the spring rolls-I couldn't detect any flavor. I think my arm dipped in the peanut sauce would taste the same. I also tried the fried noodles with the works(beef, chicken, shrimp etc) The noodles were greasy and I had to spit out the beef because of the hard pieces of fat. The meatball soup-the meatballs were unidentifiable and the broth with the huge about of bland noodles.. I'm not going to go on, you get the point. There was not one thing that any of us liked. We left all of the food on the table. It was meat locker cold in there which didn't help. It was very busy so therefore I'm OK with admitting that it must be me.

YES! Delicious! Started with the NOLA rolls. A little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll altogether. They were really good. I had the grilled pork bahn mi. Oh, it was so good. Fresh veggies and wonderful bread wrap perfectly cooked pork. Delicious flavors all around. Service was really great and so quick. To top it all off, my lunch pal and I spent a grand total of $20. Can't beat that with a stick. Do yourself a favor and bop in.

  • Hong Y.

Best banh mi in Metairie! I always order the banh mi thit nuong, and it comes out toasty, fresh, and mouthwatering! I am not the biggest fan of veggies in my banh mi, and Pho NOLA always complies with my request of no veggies. They do not skimp on the amount of meat either! Every bite is filled with delicious, juicy meat! I like how they vary the amount of fatty pieces with lean pieces so my banh mi is never dry. And the bread has that nice soft, chewy, crisp texture that I enjoy in a good banh mi. If I feel like having both pho and banh mi, I order their soup and sandwich special. However, be warned, their menu says "small" bowl of pho, and when they mean small, they mean mini in comparison to their normal pho size small. The pho is good, not the best, but enough that I'll be mildly satisfied. The bubble tea is okay. I really like the taro flavor, but as for the Thai tea flavor, not so much. I'll come back for more of their delectable banh mi!

Best pho in NOLA. They have an amazing deal for sandwich and soup combo. The broth is rich and the service was excellent. Be sure to ask for Trang (cute waitress) when you are there since she will take excellent care of you.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Char-grilled Beef Spring Rolls !! I also loved the Wanton Soup with the house made chili pepper oil, fresh basil, cilantro, bean sprouts ! and.....drum roll....my new favorite, addictive behavior..... TARO Boba Tea! I even bought one of those super hot "Just Pho It" tees for myself. A cheap date sure to get me into bed!

Love Pho and it was the first time at this place.. pho Nola is good and good taste.. Vietnamese Spring roll is fresh and good too.. Last time I visited LA, I had Pho at Fusion Cafe which I felt big disappoint.. But this place is much much better than Fusion.. Only my suggestion to Pho Nola is to have a better Service with smiling from servers which makes customers feel good.. Other than that food is good..

Ok...I need to change my review from 3.5-4 to a flat 3 with a warning. If you order extra meat, you will get, for 2 bucks, 4 slivers of beef and nothing else. That's roughly half an ounce. That makes the extra meat cost about 32 bucks a pound. You won't get any extra tripe or sinew...just 4 sliced of beef roughly the size and almost thinness of business cards. I told the really cool dude who works the cash register and he offered to take it off. But I just wanted him to know I was a bit disappointed in that level of stinginess. While getting your food is still much quicker than at Pho Orchid, getting a bill takes a lot longer. I keep having to go to the counter to pay without a bill.

I don't inflate stars in Yelp reviews. 3 stars is a place I would return to, but not a favorite place. 4 stars is a favorite for one or more dishes. 5 stars is outstanding where the quality, flavor of food, varieties of food, service are all above average. I've eaten at Pho Nola four times now and I think it has improved since the first time. I've tried more of their dishes and the service has been good each time I've been there (admittedly I go off hours). I love fresh spring rolls. They give 3 so the cost is a couple dollars more than other places and too much unless you share with someone or make those the entire meal. Their spring rolls aren't my favorites because they only put lettuce in--- no basil/mint. The peanut sauce is ok -- bland, but other places have more depth of flavors in the peanut sauce. Their pho base is on par with that of the other Vietnamese restaurants, I like that they give a large basket of herbs (to me that makes the pho), they have a wide variety of combinations. Last time I was there I saw another table order the Saigon crepe and tried it. That was delicious and better than any other place I've had it in New Orleans. It's made from ground mung beans, coconut milk, turmeric (makes it orange) and rice flour then pan fried and filled with shrimp, meat and bean sprouts. ( I found a recipe from Emeril that looked exactly like what they serve.) The flavor of the crepe was a delicious combination with a hint of coconut, it was delightfully crispy. You wrap a piece of the crepe in a lettuce leaf add, pickle, cucumber and dip in nuoc nam (fish sauce) and it's very satisfying. It's a little greasier than I like but it is still a good dish. Again, it's a full meal unless you share with others. I tried steamed dumplings and I think most of the places that serve these must get them frozen from restaurant supply places. So these were just OK. Their dipping sauce was sweet soy sauce with some other flavors which was tasty. I've had the lunch banh mi/pho combo which was good. My favorite Banh Mi is from Hong Kong Market -- whatever sauce (soy? brown sugar?) they put on their sandwiches makes that my favorite place in all New Orleans. Pho Nola banh mi are ok, but don't have the flavor my favorite does. A friend wanted the Pad Thai so i tasted that and it was well prepared, there were a lot of shrimp/chicken but it didn't have enough of the flavor (tamarind) and complexity of sweet, sour, nutty, meaty of really excellent pad thai. The smoothie (mango-pineapple) was good. Smoothies in general are a little too sweet for me, but anything with mango can't be all bad. The service was good even tho the last time I went was in the middle of lunch hour and the waitress was running like crazy. She was very helpful despite being so busy so that's a plus for the restaurant. I will go back and try some of the noodle and rice dishes.

  • Usalinh P.

The food here is decent and fast. Shoot the last time I was here the waitress told me I needed to hurry up and order because she had other tables. I found that kind of rude. She could have said I'll give you some more time to think about it and I'll be back. But I guess she wasn't properly trained to be nice time the patrons

I eat Vietnamese for lunch regularly all over over the city. The service wasn't off to a good start but once the confusion was cleared, my blended iced coffee boba and combination banh mi came all I could think was how happy I was for giving this place a try. SO Good.

Yeah, I dont normally give that many stars for a regular viet joint but this place was good. The NOLA roll is good, lurved it. I had to take one of my friends to the Korean store and we stopped by here to eat. The restaurant that was there was now gone. I remember they had chinese and korean which is why we wanted to go to the location but not knowing that Pho NOLA was here. Good thing we stopped by too because Korean had never had Pho or vietnamese food before in her life. Good thing the weather was cold because she really ENJOYED that bowl of pho, I have to say I tried some and it was mmmhmmm good. What I do remember is the banh mi, it was lurving it---my taste buds were that is. Cant complain bc mot to pho was only 6.95. Not sure if the price has increased but I cant justify paying 8 for a bowl if all it is was banh pho, stewed beef bones and a few ounces of meat. I just cant, not even pho bang or pho hoa but alas, that seems to be the norm here in the States. It's why I love going to Cali so much, I miss those $4 bowls among many other cheap Asian eats. If you are in the Metry area, definitely come here. Cash and credit are accepted. Share parking lot with other vendors.

Just moved here from Boston and been to a couple pho place now in the area. Fusion Cafe and Pho orchid can not beat Pho NOLA in no way. Came here twice in a row because I needed a pho fix since I eat pho daily in Boston. I know my pho and the broth here is very tasty! The next day I got bun bo hue and wowwwww that was amazing. This place will be my new pho place to go too! Also cheaper than the other pho places.

They should rename this place to pho Siberia. You'd think their whole staff its simultaneously experiencing menopause the way they keep the temperature in this place so cold (at least when I was there). I think I actually witnessed an elderly couple catch pneumonia in front of my eyes. food is good. salt noticeably missing from tables which I found irksome but I understand they may use it to de ice the floor. They have wifi but won't give out the password UPDATE: Note to self, I need to re-visit this place in August ;)

Got take-out from Pho NOLA today. The pho was just ok. The broth had a good enough flavor, but it was extremely greasy. Also, I asked for no cilantro, but got a ton of it anyway. Not sure I'd return.

I really really really like this place. The vermicelli bowls and banh mi are always delicious and ALWAYS consistent. We probably order takeout from here every two or three weeks and it is always good and exactly what we're expecting for our order. I'm all about the banh mi thit nuong (chargrilled pork poboy with cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, pickled carrots/daikon, and mayo) and theirs doesn't disappoint. Manfriend likes their NOLA banh mi (I think this one is a a traditional pate and pork product one), but loves the chargrilled pork too. Unfortunately, I'm not all about the pho--but not because it's not good!! I just don't really go for soups at restaurants so it could be the best pho ever, I just wouldn't know (now I feel like I really need to start eating soups at restaurants). The inside is clean and relatively spacious for the location and the staff is consistent and friendly. If you are a vietnamese lovah you should definitely try this spot!

Too loud and way too cold inside. No food in the world is worth suffering through that. Rude waitress at counter, no one greets you when walk in. F this place.

  • Toni R.

Really good food, terrible service! Be careful if you use their chop sticks that they keep on the table, the family that was sitting next to us let their child play with all of them ,spread out all over the table, putting them in her mouth, and then stuck them back where they belong! I told the waitress what they did and she just laughed and said she would pick them up after they leave. Well they left, cleaned the table and did not replace the chopsticks, yuk! Please people, don't let your kids play with utensils people have to eat with them!

I really am enamored with Pho Nola. I eat vietnamese food about twice a week and have been coming here for a little over a year now. The ambiance is above average compared to most vietnamese restaurants and the service is usually quick and courteous. Most of the food I have tried here is worth coming back for and the prices are cheap ($4 for poboys and around $7.50 for most other dishes). Dishes I've tried: -Bo Luc Lac (beef dish served with rice): The best bo luc lac I've ever had at any vietnamese restaurant. The steak is just mouth-watering delicious! One of the more expensive items on the menu at $9.50. -Pho Tai: Not the best pho in the city but still quite good. -Banh Mi Ga Nuong (grilled chicken with lemongrass poboy): Their poboys are delicious. The aioli (garlic mayo) is the special ingredient that sets it apart from other poboys. This is the only vietnamese restaurant where I usually order a poboy instead of pho or bun and it's because of the creamy mayo they use! -Goi Cuon (vietnamese spring rolls): Very good spring rolls. The spring rolls come with the usual pork and shrimp, lettuce, and vermicelli. -Bun Tom Nuong (grilled shrimp with vermicelli): The shrimp are grilled perfectly here. -Bun Ga Nuong (grilled lemongrass chicken with vermicelli): Another great bun dish. -Bun Cha Gio (vietnamese egg rolls with vermicelli): My favorite bun dish is this one with the egg rolls. Crunchy yet soft egg rolls! -Bubble Teas! The bubble teas are $4.25 or $4.75 for a specialty bubble tea. I've tried most of them. My faves are the NOLA, Merry Berry, and the Watermelon.

Yummmy! It was a rainy rainy rainy day in Nola this week and man oh man it made me crave some Pho soooo badly! Since there was a huge downpour I decided to go to the place that was closest to my house. Pho NOLA was the choice for me. Once I walked in the guy at the front had a huge smile and I felt really welcomed. I ordered the Pho NOLA of course and a NOLA Boba as well! It was to-go so the soup and veggies and meat were separated so i could put it together at home. The Pho was basically just the combination of different meats so idk how the name makes it particularly unique, but it was still good. I liked the taste and it satisfied me very well. Now the Boba was suuuuuuuper good. This one is their own mixed combination of mango, lime juice, honey, and a hint of cayenne. I really really liked this flavor twist. You get that fresh mango taste in the beginning and then at the end of the sip the spice kicks you a bit! One of the best boba flavors I have ever had!

I ate here several times during a business trip. It was very good and will make an effort to return next time I am in New Orleans (although I dislike having to work there). I had all the pho and vermicilli dishes. The service was quick during lunch even though the place was always packed with customers.

The pho is actually worth driving for. The egg rolls and spring rolls are some of the best I've ever had.

My wife and I eat here a pretty good bit. Really can't beat the prices and food quality. I always get the Pho/Bahn Mi combo. My wife really likes the pork chop entree. Have dined in one time and the service was very good on my visit. Fast, cheap, good. What's not to like?

It took me this long to write a review of this place, anyway its here! This was probably the restaurant that I and my co workers went to the most early in my stay in Metairie . I since then have not gone back. (thanks to Pho Orchid) PHO: not that great. portions: small bubble tea: adequate service: could be better I had one recent trip back when Pho Orchid was closed and ordered chicken fried rice to go. The portion was horrendously SMALL!! It was not worth the 9-10 bucks I paid. please go to Pho Orchid for better food and bigger portions!

The noodle bowls are always delicious. The place is not bad but it's not the best that I've had in Nola.

Good locations, just off of Vets on Transcontinental. Cleaner than most Pho places and also good service. Big bowls of Pho. They did not offer my favorite Pho combination (tai sach). The grilled pork Banh Mi looked good.

I eat lunch here very often and I really love the chicken pho. It isn't a regular or large bowl like other places usually offer but a nice in between size that fills me up the perfect amount. I especially like the Jasmine tea (I've heard some honky folk complain about the taste being too strong for them). I get in there before Noon and usually get extremely rapid service but when I've gone later it can take a bit longer to get served. They have a great selection of items on the menu and the only complaint I've got about the place is the really bad techno/rap music they blare.

I like this place. I really do. The food is excellent. Their NOLA combination banh mi is magically delicious, and the pho is really good. The Vietnamese beef stew is also amazing. I'm a huge fan of the taro smoothies. However, service seems to have gone downhill--nobody came to check on us during the meal last time we were there. We both ordered the pho/banh mi combo, and neither of us got more than three pieces of beef in our bowls of soup. I'm not sure what's going on, because service (and the amount of meat in my pho) was fantastic when it first opened. I'm hoping that they can turn things around a bit, because I really want to keep eating here.

I'm a regular here and the food was excellent as always. However, the usual polite service was not very attentive. My request for no jalapeno in my sandwich was ignored and our server never came to check on how we were doing. Then we were brought the wrong check. It won't stop me from coming back, but it was disappointing.

Consistent quality. Great pho. Try the fried egg rolls, any Po-Boy and the Pho Nola drink-- mango, cayenne pepper and a few other great ingredients. I get it without the tapioca pearls. The drink is great for a hangover but have a place to sit after drinking since it's kind of like a cleanse drink and I've felt a bit woozy after drinking it in the past. But then you feel much better. Sometimes, abnoxious customers bring their kids and let them scream and cry and roll around on the floor and guard the front door. But the food kept us from getting it to go. It's that good.

So, I have been here multiple times because my BFF lives a few blocks away. She is a regular here and the staff knows her vegan-ness and has no problem making stuff up that's not on the menu. The few times I went in with her, everything was pretty good, except we had to order OFF the menu, which kinda bugs me. She has no problem doing this, but I feel a little awkward... Anyway, I went back yesterday sans BFF (with husband) to grab some lunch. He ordered the tofu and rice dish off the menu, and I ordered the same dish my pal always gets- lemongrass tofu noodle bowl (not on the menu, but they have always made it for us before... she orders it at least once a week...).. Our spring rolls were good, and the peanut sauce was nice and drippy as I like it. My dish came out and did not have lemongrass on it. No big deal, I'm flexible and can coat the badboy in saracha. It was still good and it takes a lot to ruin a noodle bowl for me. My issue was with my husband's dish. He ordered vegetables, tofu and rice. He took two bites and instantly felt ill, stating that he was pretty sure there was a fish sauce in the veggies. The menu did not state that there was a fish sauce on the dish, so he ate some more, but I made him stop. When we got home, he got pretty sick.... So I would guess that there was something not vegetarian in the dish. I will probably go to this place when I go visit my pal, because of its location, but will not recommend it to others as a place to go if you have dietary choices.

I've been eating Vietnamese for a very long time. Always it was a once in a while craving...after trying Pho Nola, Vietnamese could be a weekly outing for me. Their banh mi is the best i've ever had!

Solid 4 stars. Was in Metairie and with the help of Yelp Moble, I found this place! Reasonable prices and good selection of authentic viet cuisines on their menu. The pho is really good here! I was surprised. It's hard to find good pho especially anywhere besides New Orleans East and the Westbank! Food 1. Banh Cuon Thit Nuong: Very fresh and the pork was marinated just right. 2. Pho Dac Biet, cheap at $7.50 a nice sized bowl! The broth is very tasty! 3. Banh Mi Bo Kho: It was delicious! Full of flavor and the beef was cooked just right! Melted in your mouth. This has to be the first bo kho I've eaten at a restaurant and didnt need to add for anything else. Service Very fast, nice and attentive. Kinda hard to find in asian restaurants. They speak perfect English also. I kinda wished they kept a bottle of fish sauce and packs of sugar on the tables. I always leave great tip everywhere I dine out at, but I hate to have to keep bugging the wait staff to ask for things. Location and Decor: Nice location, right off of Vets and located right next to Oriental Market (another great find! see my review on that) The decor of this place is fun and great! Very hip and you get a good vibe. Overall: Another good restaurant added to this city!

The Nola rolls were interesting! Fresh rolls with fried spring rolls on the inside. The cilantro was the perfect amount and very fresh tasting. The pho was awful! I had high expectations since I heard from a friend of mine who loves pho that it was great, later she told me it's gone downhill. I haven't tried their bun but I can say that the pho is not worth your time. I ordered the pho tai and immediately when it came out I noticed that it didn't smell right. It is fine, of course, for each Vietnamese restaurant to have their own type of broth. However, there was a layer of grease on the top of mine that burnt my lip as I tasted it. The meat was overcooked and tough (supposed to be rare). The broth tasted like it was straight out of a bouillon cube. I sent it back.

Decent viet food in metairie although most ppl that go there are there for the ambience. Good place to go with friends; not so good with dates. Unless u want ur man to be staring at the skanks that are the waitresses there. Not sure why they all have heavy eyeliner and fake eyelashes. Gives all Asian girls a bad name...

We order from Pho Nola more than any other takeout available! Needless to say, we love it!

My favorite Vietnamese in town so far. Has a lot more veggie options than the others that tend to throw a single piece of pork in everything. I always go for veggie spring rolls and a vermicelli bowl.

Pleasantly surprised. Didn't have the cinnamon taste i dislike. Broth was good, meat selection wasn't great, but what meat they had was good. A little bit more expensive than a hole in the wall pho joint. Bowl was $7.50. Also tried their chicken rice dish. Was kind of bland. Not as good as Duong Phong's in the East's grilled chicken.

I come here a lot. Pretty good place overall. Good pho of course (esp. the Pho Nola) and the dishes are pretty tasty as well. I like the selection of teas too. Usually pretty fast service and large portions. If you need more than what they're serving, you probably need to hit the gym up. I've had better Vietnamese food elsewhere but I have no complaints about this place.

First time eating here, it was pretty goof. I enjoyed eating Vietnamese. The poyboys were good and affordable. The portion is not huge so order something else. Spring rolls were ok.

First, let's talk Pho. They are actually good when it comes to Pho, heck they should be, it's even in their name! Now let's talk Bobba tea,,, I've never had an inconsistent quality experience except here I believe. It'll be awesome one day, bad the next day. Gosh I wish they'd make up their mind though.. and what is up with the tall asian dude with the spiky hair always looking mad? Does anyone ever see him smile? for reals? I'm scared every time I get him for my server,,, mommy! The place is spacious inside, and it's clean and well lit. They all make most of their drinks from fresh fruit but they do put some powdery stuff in it to boost up the flavor. If you want Pho, go here. If you want Bubble Tea,,,, go to Frosty's!

When they first opened I found them to be really good but now it's too inconsistent. I dine there because of conveinence. Try Pho Orchid instead.

I've only been to Pho Nola once, but it was excellent and I will definitely be back next time I'm out in Metarie and looking for a bite to eat. The atmosphere at Pho Nola is very nice-- they've invested in the decor, and it shows. It's a place you wouldn't mind spending some time, lingering over your meal and enjoying a leisurely coffee afterward. A real oasis amidst the concrete jungle that is Metarie. The grilled port Banh Mi was delicious, with the meat very nicely spiced and perfectly done and the cilantro very fresh.

Pho Nola is delicious! They have the most amazing banh mi sandwiches EVER! (I wanted to eat a million of them) I only wish they delivered to the westbank!

i love it ,but not being told they were out of basil is really crappy, i guess they did not think that any one would know ,but with out basil, pho is not pho,it is what makes the flavor of the broth perfect, still a fan but not being informed is WRONG,and will address to the owners about it face to face for they are 50 yards from my front door, and when i was there in front of paul nothing was said, i called him and he said"we can not get basil right now"then tell your customers,i would have not spent any money on food if it is not what i am paying for,and i tipped him on go food as well,

This is the best Vietnamese food around. I go at least once a week. Very reasonably priced. I have never had a problem with service. All the staff is very friendly and attentive. The avocado boba tea is the best I've had. "the spiky hair" server is always smiling so I don't know what the other girl is talking about. I say check it out I always tell my friends to go there.

I love southern food but sometimes when I'm visiting my parents I crave good asian food I would typically find in the West Coast. This place hits the spot when you're in the mood for a hot bowl of pho or cool refreshing bowl of vermicelli. The vietnamese Po'boys were pretty darn good as well. I would avoid the summer rolls unless you like a whole bunch of rice noodles and rice paper. I hear they really made improvements from the dark and dreary restaurants from the past. They also serve a nice selection of boba slushies. I just wish they could blend those drinks in the back. The loud grinding sound can get to you when you're trying to enjoy your food. Notheless, I'll be back =)

Yes please!!! Try the grilled pork spring rolls.

I think that pho tastes pretty much the same everywhere unless it's bad. The spring rolls were bland and the pho was way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't finish it. The place was really cute and so wished that I liked it...

I have been here 4 times in the past month and every visit has been great. I have treid the grilled pork vermicelli bowl, Pho, and the pork sandwhich and all 3 were fresh and delicious! I can't get enough of this place. I would eat Pho Nola more ofen if I didn't live in Texas.

Had bbq pork & vietnamese ham banh mi. Wow! It was spicy hot. And good. Good location near the office. I'll be going into the office more often now, just so I can go to Pho NOLA for lunch. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere looked comfortable, too. I'll eat in next time. Highly Recommended

The last 8 years i have lived in San Francisco, and all types of asian food had become a staple of mine while i was there, especially Vietnamese. Sick = Vietnamese, hungover = Vietnamese, just plain hungry = Vietnamese, etc. I'm sure u get the point. Anyhoo, this place fills that void well while i'm here in Metairie. Everything was spot on. My only complaint is that the radio was too loud and the music was bad, but whateves, u can't have everything. Holla!

The many reviews of this restaurant seem to all have similar themes. I would not say that the restaurant was particularly cold when we visited, and I also would not say that the waitress was abrupt, curt, rude, or pushy. She was attentive. I agree that their system of keeping unwrapped chopsticks in a bin in bulk on the table was concerning, and I also saw a young child playing with these chop sticks but not eating with them. The food was a mix. The sandwich-and-pho combination is a terrific deal. The Nola combination banh-mi was excellent, and by itself is priced at a steal. The wonton pho was good, but I found the noodles to be reminiscent of ramen, and the broth rather bland. The wontons were quite tasty, however. Now, the boba tea was a miss unfortunately. I judge based on the standard milk tea with tapioca. The milk tea was standard, but the tapioca had a sweetness to it that I found off-putting. Furthermore, and possibly a trivial matter, but the tapioca balls were smaller that what I prefer, making them a bit less chewy and savory. I would go back for the banh-mi, which was excellent, but maybe skip the rest.

At first when I tried this place it was ok , but than I gave it another try , n guess what ?? I think I have been back every other weekend now ... The pho is really good , way better than Pho Orchird .... The smell n flavor over at Orchird is just cinnamony .. At NOLA , taste like it has been simmering for a very long time ... I would suggest this place to anyone n everyone.... O , n the guy with the spiky hair is actually really nice , he greets n smiles n me n my family everytime

When I first heard about this place I was wanting to see if this was going to be a typical vietnamese restaurant as in poorly trained servers who can't speak english to save their life, or tables and tables of plates not once taken again, and the horrible cart that drives me sick when they pick up plates and dump the pho broth away. However this was different. There was english speaking servers. Only problem is that the food didn't impress me. How can you serve a ba minh of almost twice the price i can get at let's a famous bakery in the east? the banh mi didn't have enough meat, vegetables, and loaded with mayo to merit a price like that?? The portion of pho meat and noodles were small. The broth you can smell the MSG in it. I ordered the spring rolls and bearly a sliver of pork in the roll with alot of vegetables... some of it wasn't even fresh. I was so upset. That I gave it another try but it was about the same. I hope this place comes around because vietnamese restaurants in Metairie are like McDonalds there is one on every corner...
