Absolutely longest wait ever. I've been traveling from New Orleans to Baton Rouge with a bachelorette and bachelor party. We have eight people in our party we have waited 45 minutes so far for our food. You would think that this establishment would be concerned about giving a large group like ourselves good service. But no regardless of the fact that we have as a group spent a fair amount of money here. Not one person from the wait staff has approached us nicely. Until just now a young girl with a ponytail and and elaborate eye makeup had politely served our food. And explained that they are short staffed in the kitchen. Until then the only polite person was the young girl at the register who took our food order. There was one shorter woman with a pony tail and larger frame that passed by us multiple times until someone in my party addressed her about our situation. I'm less pissed about the wait and more pissed about the lack of customer service. As an individual who has worked 10 years in the restaurant business I can conclude that this is a management problem not only a wait staff problem. And the wait staff is probably just stressed out from their lack of cooks in the back but abundance of customers in the front. Also when we first walked in I had asked a white male on the staff of he could designate tables to accommodate our party. He walked around saw dirty table and instead of being proactive and cleaning them returned to us and said its open seating there are no open tables next to each other. I still have yet to receive my burger. Two people are eating and the rest are still hungry. It has now been over an hour. Hopefully the food is good.

I love eating here when I'm craving for some good fried catfish! Their fried catfish platter is SO GOOD. :) YUMMY.

Ate here on our way out of New Orleans on a recent visit. We were meeting back up at the hotel in the Quarter and too hot and sticky to go back out looking for lunch. But were disappointed that we'd probably wind up grabbing fast food off the interstate and not one last good meal in the city. Then we stumbled into this place off an exit and it was great! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and my husband liked his sandwich (something seafoody poboyish). The garlic fries were terrific, and they even had Diet Dr. Pepper. Plus, choices for kids and free ice cream cones afterwards too. I'll second (or third or whatever) the bathroom comments, though - that was probably the smallest bathroom I've ever used in a restaurant!

I went here years ago and did not like it. But the menu has got much better the salads we got came out fresh and very tasty. It us self service on drinks but the price is not to high. I will go back again.

Great food and great service. Especially good seafood platters.

Get the thin fried catfish and jumbo shrimp. Don't get a burger dummy.

Mediocre food, frozen not louisiana seafood great place for kids(free soft serve)

Disappointed. Two adults and a child...over $40. Portions have gotten much smaller, especially the cajun pasta. Although tasty, not enough food for the money...and seriously, how much does pasta cost? Kids burger was good, and the soft serve. But you order at the counter, make your own drink, refill it yourself and get your own dessert. Under those circumstances, an entree shouldn't be $16. What used to be a salad and toppings bar is now lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. That's it. Had a much better experience at Stingrays.

This should be a five-star review and if the food was the only point of evaluation, it would be. The catfish was tender, flaky, and packed with flavor and zing. My wife had a Muffaleta which was so good I took one to go after only one bite. The Aeoli sauce on the fries was... soo... good... I... had... a... food... gasm The portions were huge and the staff was friendly. Why not five stars then? The bathroom! I've had more wiggle room on a 727. It looks like they took their mens room and converted it into a video poker room, then converted the ladies room into two new restrooms. Is video poker that profitable?

Service can be slow and bathrooms are tiny. The food is good but not great. The prices are about right for what you are getting. The reason it is getting four versus three stars is the free ice cream and wifi.

My reviews are always heavily swayed by food. And, NO Hamburger has good food. It's a little pricey, always crowded and noisy, but consistent. Pro's: 1) Food: Excellent and consistent in quality. Great fries and good seafood batter. Delicious hush puppies. 2) Atmosphere: Since they updated the restaurant it feels more upscale than before. 3) Customer service: Great. People great you and are polite. Con's: 1) Price: Too high if you're just looking for seafood to go, or good food at a good price. Some of the selections are ok, but oyster prices are ridiculous. 2) Parking: Sometimes the parking lot is crazy active so it's hard to maneuver. 3) Wait: During busy times, there's a wait. Pretty much every time I've gone there's been a wait.

Walked in to a packed house.... They request we go straight to the pay line before heading to a table!!! Stood in a long line & finally got to a very friendly cashier who said "wait no table...." Can only pay till a table clears.... Waited maybe 3 mins before paying ordering their Classic BBq Shrimp Po Boy sandwich & drink & $1 donation for a total of $19.57(ouch), perhaps a little steep.... Nothing "Po Boy" about this sandwich & they gave me an order number & finding, in their language "A 4 Top" or in my lowly language "a table with 4 chairs" Waited seemingly quite long approximately 20+mins before the food arrived! That particular sandwich was good but not something I would order again may try something else be time! Love the free ice cream & coffee! The coffee was particularly good! I would recommend this place even though it's perhaps a little pricier than what I thought but then again New Orleans maybe an expensive highly taxes place!

First timer here. Place is one of the cleanest around, staff was very friendly (especially my server Leslie-she was awesome). The crawfish queso dip was the best I've ever had, and I have had plenty. The All American burger was good, nothing exceptional, the burger itself was a little over cooked which rendered it a tad bit dry. The garlic fries that every accompany every burger are very tasty. Overall a good experience and I will definitely saw several things I want to try on my next visit.

A bit pricey but the staff and service is good. Standard New Orleans faire. I had the shrimp poboy... it was ok. Not bad but nothing to write home about. The garlic fries make the meal and I could happily drink several gallons of the strawberry iced tea. If you're looking for a fast food poboy or a super casual place to bring the kiddos while indulging on New Orleans food this is the place for you.

Food is always good in my opinion, as well as service, atmosphere, and cleanliness... but I have never felt like their menu has anything extra special about it and it has become "pricey $" for the portions recieved. Last few experiences have left me feeling like I'm paying too much and not leaving the restaurant thinking I had a "great" meal... just okay!

I love the convenience of the drive thru. I had the strawberry fields salad. My only recommendation is to trade out the romaine and iceberg lettuce for spinach.

This is my second time going to this chain, just a different location. The food is very good and the service is good. I am not a big burger fan but I am in love with the rajun cajun burger. The meat was tasty and thin and the burger was perfect both times I've had it. Their fries are also very good! They have a unique seasoning. The pricing is reasonable and the atmosphere is similar to that of a typical chain resteraunt.

Another good location of what is the best local chain in the city. On this occasion i had the shrimp remoulade salad that was delicious. The new owners have upgraded this old chain some things good somethings bad but still great for a chain.

We came here on a whim. We thought maybe it was a sit down where the server took your order. Found out you order at the counter. Nothing wrong with that. The onion rings are very plentiful for a starter. One order can easily serve 2 or 3 adults. All the entrees we ordered were large portions. Even though most of what we ordered was fried, nothing came across as greasy. Kudos for that. A special shout out to our server Summer. Extremely friendly and personable. Out of the blue she swept in and grabbed our dink glasses (non-alcoholic) and refilled them for us. Thanks again for a great meal.

The Cowboy Burger was fantastic! Probably the best garlic herb fries I have EVER had! Excellent service and overall experience. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I super love their incredibly awesome Shrimpzilla po boy. It is definitely the best po boy I ever had. The potato wedged along with the meal is another surprise. Overpriced... Shrimp are too big to put on a poboy. Should only offer one decent sized shrimp for poboys... French breach over toasted (makes me think it was just stale) lemon should come on side... Not everyone wants a bunch of lemon juice on their shrimp... Bread is way too wide... I couldn't even fit the sandwich in my mouth and Im a 200lb man... way too much garlic on fries... Just tasted like I was eating cloves of garlic. Overall horrible... Will never get another poboy from there again... Price is outrageous!! Sandwich and a soft drink close to $17.00 ???? Who's yall chef putting this menu in place? I could eat anything on the menu and tell you exactly what to do to make it better. Very disappointed

My helper got a hamburger for ($7.95) and I got a shrimp/roast beef po-boy for ($12.95). We got two drinks at almost ($3 each). But they were not drinks, they were our participation in the beverage bar.... All together our measly sandwiches including drink was $30. The Oyster Heaven was "MARKET PRICE". When I asked the market price, the cashier told me it was $17.95 (for a 6-inch po-boy, have you people lost your mind???). Before eating we used the bathroom which (by looking at the photos) looked like a time warp to the gorilla cages at the Audubon Zoo in the 1960's. If the federal government ordered the shutdown or makeover of that zoo, some local inspector should tell New Orleans seafood that those bathrooms should look like the ones at Houstons Restaurant in a week. One stall, a urinal, and a broken sink that holds festering and leaky water with some contraption that looks like a bag for human waste!!! This is uncalled for and is disgusting. There are jails in third world countries that have facilities better than that. I didn't even have a camera. I borrowed my friend's cam, and when he saw that I was taking a photo, he was terrified for his iPhone. Praying I wouldn't drop it in that cesspool. I couldn't help wondering the entire time I was eating if the kitchen looked like that!!! I certainly am glad someone yelped about Cajun Persuasion seafood restaurant on David Dr. Kudos to the out-of-towner that found that gem. It looked like you could lick off the floors in that startup. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by viewing their restrooms. By the looks of things, behind this facade of a pig-sty it a hole in the wall that needs SERIOUS work.

Was in a hurry so I stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with all aspects. Had the single decker club with fries and. Peach mango tea to drink. The sandwich was pleasantly overstuffed and delicious the fries were tasty and crisp. The restaurant was very clean, well staffed and exceptionally well managed. I have been to their other locations in Metairie, Mandeville and on the westbank, this one is by far the best managed.

We went in about 45 minutes before close . I usually avoid doing this, but it couldnt be helped. They were picking up already and this is my pet peeve. I think restaurants should be open until they close. The service was polite, if not a little forced. The server was nice even though she was a bit distracted. The food however, was on point. Everything was fresh, cooked and assembled perfectly and looked like a picture. I was so impressed. Even the salads and fries were perfect, exactly as they should be.

Service: I was greeted as soon as I entered but was confused on what to do. FYI: you order at the counter and they give you a number and you pick your seats. + I got immediate and friendly service. - I was lost walking in, so if no one was there to greet me, I'd be standing awkwardly. Environment: There was a very open layout with both booths and tables to accommodate small rush crowds without making it uncomfortable. It was mostly clean, nothing too crazy messy, however the desserts and apps on display getting old we're not appealing. They looked old and would not make me interested in ordering either. + I had plenty of 4 top tables open to sit at while I waited for my to go order. Everything seemed noticeably clean aside for a few crumbs on my chair. - No where to sit while waiting for a to-go order if the restaurant had been busier (one lonely chair). Food: For a better-than-fast food burger in a friendly service environment and New Orleans flavors, it's got average food. The three stars is because the burger (which is why I went there) was not memorable in anyway. It was a hefty slab of meat but lacked the flavorful juicy beefiness I was looking for. + Food was made in a timely manner, fresh, hot and I like the burger and seafood options. Their garlic butter sauce for the fries is super tasty! - Not the best burger I've ever had and certainly not worth the price I paid for it.

Food is always on point. Have never had any issues with anything we have ever ordered. Huge portions priced just right. Many beverages esp specialty iced teas to choose from. Dining area well appointed. Food runners/servers very attentive and happy. Counter order takers could care less if you were there or not, and not willing to smile as they would rather be on their phone. Huge disappointment is the condition of the bathrooms. Not the cleanest but that is not the issue. They are not ADA compliant. I asked the manager how they can get away with and he said the building is 60 years old and are grandfathered in as they are. I proceeded to tell him that grandfathered or not, it is no excuse. He obviously does not a know a person in a chair in his inner circle or he would have cared. I can understand a small mom and pop store and not being able to afford fixing it. But come on NOH&S, you can afford to make this right. Fix this issue so all customers can enjoy your great food.

Best poorboy's in the area. I'm from Charlotte down here on business and found this place. What a find. Best local food I've found in many trips.

Feel the need for an AWESOME BURGER? Stop by this place! All of their burgers are cooked perfectly. Especially The Big Cheezy (I usually choose the PepperJack cheese on mine for that melty goodness). And the one with the sautéed mushrooms with Swiss cheese. Can't go wrong with any of 'em. They usually come with their own home cut fries. The fries are A-mazing! I've tried their sea food. It's good. Just not the same as you'd find in an authentic New Orleanian joint. The service is always great with friendly & knowledgeable wait staff.

I went here today for the first time (although apparently this is a local favorite that I just never went to!) It's one of those places where you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food out to you. The food came out pretty quickly and we had the nicest server who was back and forth to our table not too many times, but not too few either. We had fried onion rings which were a hit even with people who don't like onions! These onion rings were thin and crispy with a great bite of crunch. I had the thin-fried catfish (which they are know for), and it was good, but I didn't think it was anything special. It was almost too much breading?! But they have these garlic fries that are crispy even with the yummy garlic sauce in which they are coated. Along with fish, fries, and standard French bread, there were hush puppies which were the best ones I have ever had because normally hush puppies I have tasted have a weird taste or jalapeno kick that I am not fond of.

Plenty of delicious fried shrimp AND oysters piled high on bread that was crispy on outside, soft on inside, just like the fries which were like nothing I have ever tasted and seasoned to perfection with a garlic herb sauce. Very nice, laid back, family atmosphere. Waitresses went above and beyond. Very reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back. Only negative was I didn't like standing in the long line to order.

Great New Orleans seafood at reasonable prices. Poo boys are quiet tasty. Usually not a fan of fried shrimp but this was better than most.

I've always known New Orleans Hamburger served a huge selection of burgers, but when we decided to go get salads there, I was a bit skeptical. Now I will tell you, go check them out! We got the boudin balls to share at the beginning and they were pretty good. My salad, the Sizzling Shrimp Remoulade salad was amazingly good and a huge portion. They aren't joking when they say "entree sized." The shrimp is grilled, ingredients fresh, all around a good salad. Lastly, I also love the wide selection of iced teas and the complimentary soft serve ice cream. It's the little things!

Great find. Found this on the GPS and beefed to go somewhere close. The burgers and fries are amazing. Gator balls are good too.

The service was good for a fast casual restuarnt. What was a little disappointing was the food. I ordered the famous thin fried catfish and fried oysters. I didn't see what was famous about the catfish. It was ok, but nothing special. The oysters were small, but tasted ok. What got me later were the fries. They are thick cut and covered in garlic butter, with emphasis on the garlic. Lots and lots of garlic. Not in a good way...they were kind of gross. The slaw was probably the most pedistrian cole slaw I have had in my life. Just blah. For four, it cost me $63. I was expecting more for this price.

We went here on our first night in Metairie because we were exhausted and you'd be surprised at the number of businesses closed at 8:30pm on a Sunday. Very odd. Like others I thought this was a unique restaurant but it turned out to be a chain, which was okay. I was impressed at the menu selection because it's such a small location (weirdly small) but the food was pretty good. I got a hamburger because I was craving one and it was an ample portion, had good bacon and cheese on it and came with some tasty fries. Husband got a chicken sandwich but he wasn't impressed with it, it was basic and the chicken was a little tough and overcooked. I did try and go to the bathroom (mainly out of curiosity from other reviews) but everyone is right, they are creepy tiny and clearly took one of the bathrooms out to add their tiny jackpot games and converted the other bathroom into 2 separate ones. Crazy. It also was a little expensive for the style of restaurant it is, think they need to rework their prices to meet their food.

I had a tough time picking out restaurants during my mom's visit. She likes plain-ish food, so I needed something relatively quick (not a fancy place) and "normal." She was in New Orleans, so I really didn't want to resort to national chain fast food. Solution? New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company. I was able to get a huge burger with tons of awesome toppings at a reasonable price, complete with the super delicious garlic fries and a drink. My mother got some sort of plain burger and fries, but claimed it was quite delicious. I even got a kids meal for the kid - which she thoroughly enjoyed. The service was great, although not a whole lot of interaction with the employees. You come in, place your order at the counter, and then it is delivered to your table. After that, they clean up when you leave. Drinks and burger toppings are self serve. They have about 4-5 flavors of CC's iced tea, as well as a Crystal Light drink station and the usual Coke/Sprite/etc selection. It's a good, relatively quick family dining establishment.

Very friendly wait staff. The red beans and rice were excellent. The burger's were a little smaller than I thought they should be, but my daughter enjoyed it. The garlic fries that came with the burger were excellent. The biggest disappointment was the gumbo. Don't waste your money. No flavor. In New Orleans I expected better.

Wow what a great experience. From the friendly service I received while ordering over the phone to when I took my first bite. The employee who's name escapes me was the most friendly person who I have ever dealt with in the food service industry. When I called my order in she made sure to repeat it and used my name. When I arrived she greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello. We (my family) shared a seafood box which was more than enough for 2 adults and a toddler. I will definitely visit this location in future visits and recommend this place to anyone.

Great food. The thin fried catfish is THE best catfish I've ever had. The waitstaff has been friendly and attentive every time I've visited. This time I sat at a table near the kitchen and was able to peek inside. I removed one star because neither the bathroom nor the kitchen looked particularly clean.

Food quality has gone down over the years as prices have gone up. I am a local to the area and used to visit this location a lot. Just was satisfied but i feel its lost some of its old kick in the food.
