The food was as expected with a little extra kick. Keep in mind that the pulled pork is the only mild meat they have. My wife had the pulled pork salad that she said was good. I had the chicken tacos that were great. Three stars because they were out of ice most of the visit and out of sweet tea the whole time. We did ask a few times but never got taken care of.

Worst Chipotle I've been to. Terrible service. They don't have any sense of efficiency. With a line of twenty people they have one employee behind the counter and one cashier. It is dinner time so it's no surprise. I hope Chipotle has regional people paying attention and sends a team to clean up this mess. Maybe I'll review the food in an hour when I get to the front of the line.

Glad to see Chipotle on Veterans Blvd. Not sure how long they have been open, so they maybe working out some kinks. I ordered Tacos and once the meat was added the next attendant left the line for approx. 3 mins while my food sat. Once I got rang up my Tacos were very cold brrrrr, I really didn't have time to wait for new ones so I just eat them. I also ordered Chips and Salsa, the chips were stale and soft. They did give me another order. The food does taste fresh, hopefully they will get it together.

Bad bad bad management. The staff needs some training. They are always out of meat. Chipotle is my favorite but this location is killing all the fun.

The food: five stars every time. Everything is delicious. But this is seriously THE SLOWEST CHIPOTLE IVE EVER BEEN TO! Guys please work on your speed, I've been in lines twice as long for half as much time.

Love love Chipotle. I'm rating this on the food which I love and did not disappoint. specially since living in California for a few years. The service was ok I think they are still kinda new and need to get more comfortable with what they are doing. Specially since I been to 10+ different chipotles from north California and Texas so I know what a chipotle line is suppose to look like. I'm just extremely happy there is one in LA

Far better than the clear view location. Perhaps it's because it has just opened and everyone is on their game. No complaints it is a chain so it's usually pretty consistent. Try the sofritos!

My first ever visit to Chipotle, and eh not that impressed. Customer service was top notch but the food was just ok. Got a Sofritos Burrito with the fajita mix, black beans, corn, salsa, and sour cream. Just kinda bland. I'll definitely try again, based solely on the popularity, the customer service and the cleanliness of the place.

I finally made it to this new Chipotle. It's in a great location. The building's architecture is cool and modern and there are a good amount of parking spaces. It's like any typical Chipotle where you order at the counter and tell them what kind of meat you would like and in what way you would like to eat it (bowl, burrito, taco, etc). Then you go along the counter and customize it how you like. I have been eating at Chipotle for over ten years. I have grown a bit tired of the burritos and bowls. These days I typically get the tacos or a quesodilla. I also still enjoy the chips and guacamole...yum! The staff here seem to be doing a good job. I'm sure I will be back.

I like this location better than the other one, but the dollars would roll in if they switched staffs. This store is big, but they never have "enough" people working, manager walking around being very supervisory only. The choices look like a UNICEF refugee camp. At the other location the food is overflowing and EVERYONE participates-- even if they might break a nail... And food is flipped & switched every 30 seconds or so... It's disheartening.

This review is strictly to this location and not the franchise itself. I love Chipotle. Everything is so fresh and flavorful, however, this particular location fails. Maybe they recently opened and haven't had things fine-tuned yet BUT it's a franchise and operation is usually consistent among stores. Click here for photos: chefsgirl.com/chipotleve… First, the building is quite small so there's limited seating. If you sit indoors, it's cramped and very noisy and echo-ey. Since I was by myself, I took my food to-go and just ate in my car! Secondly, something was a little off as far as flavoring of the steak and the guacamole...most likely a lack of lime and/or salt. Everything was so bland. As I ate my burrito bowl, I kept pondering why it tasted so different and found myself chewing on a piece of plastic. I'll spare you the disgust and won't post that photo, but I was so disappointed that I had to try again at Chipotle in Harahan the next day. That experience was much better. I'll wait a little while for them to improve and maybe try again, but I definitely won't go out of my way for it.

As I sat there eating my chode looking burrito, I couldn't help but be disappointed. THEY DIDN'T HAVE MY WHITE QUESO. Why? Because they haven't found a "natural" source for it. That really grinds my gears. Couldn't Chipotle keep my delicious and artificial queso on hand until they find a natural source? Would that really hurt anybody? No. No, it wouldn't. Why is this an issue? Because there isn't a Government or FDA definition for such claims. They just doesn't exist. I know you are trying to go all high and mighty with a "free from" or "natural" claims but the reality of the situation is this: YOU STILL SERVE COCA COLA PRODUCTS. Whats in Coco Cola products you ask? High Fructose Corn Syrup. HFCS is VERY far from being natural. Do I give a shit? Hell no. Im a Food Scientist. I just ask two things: 1- Be consistent. 2- Give me my damn white queso back.

Wow. Absolutely wow. I literally waiting 45 minutes in line for this burrito. I've always previously gone to the location in Elmwood and even when the line went outside, I still never waited 45 minutes. I had to go to this location because I wanted to go to the mall after. This location is half, if not one-third of the location in Elmwood. Elmwood workers are fast, efficient, and they know what they're doing! I will not be going to this location again.

Just finished soccer with the kids and we were looking for something tasty. The meal was excellent. Service was on point. I couldn't believe how quickly we had the food and we're ready to head home. Great all around experience. Side note-- kids beef nachos were a little spicy for the kids but I was glad to eat them and trade a chicken quesadilla from the Blues Sampler we had. It's a lot of food.

Hope they learn how to properly close and bag their food. I'd prefer to eat it as opposed to cleaning it out of my car seat. Also, chips were stale and over seasoned.

I have visited this location for the first time, a few months ago. I must say Chipotle is my favorite place to eat at. Elmwood is by far my favorite location. I never assumed for the same franchise but different location to be so unsatisfying. First, the service was extremely slow. Seems as if there wasn't enough workers. Once I've tried the food, I've notice immediately that my food was cold. Usually at elmwood it's quite warm. The taste of everything in my burrito bowl was different. It wasn't as good as what I've always had before. This was so hard to understand. All I have to say is that this location is a great location, but with poor service and food. They won't ever have plenty of customers.

Ugh!! I love chipotle and since they opened I have literally been eating here 1-2 times a week! I love that they use fresh ingredients and responsibly-raised food. Plus, it's good food fast. That said, in a matter of weeks this place has gone DOWN! The last few times I've been there it seemed like they were understaffed and we had to wait a while. Tonight was the epitome of the worst tho!! Huge line and it looked like no one was working. The three people that we did see on the line looked like they were working hard, but where was everyone else? And they were out of literally everything, which you didn't find out until you waited 20 mins in line. Even the food didn't taste as good tonight. When they first opened they had tons of people working and everyone seemed happy to be there. Tonight the place just seemed sad- sad food, sad staff, and sad customers... April 30 Out of black beans tonight! How do you run out of that?? Even if you do run out, how about you put up a sign so I don't find out after I waited in line for 10 minutes. This place is a joke!

  • Monica M.

Just like most of the review I'm disappointed in the service I got at this location! The staff was extremely inpatient and rude.

  • Andrew N.

Didn't have intention of eating here the other day. Was only trying to speak to the decision maker for an internship, but as I was trying to get her attention, she said why not have a burrito on the house and she will be out to speak to me. Now that is amazing customer service!

  • Colin G.

Chipotle's burrito bowl with chicken, black beans, brown rice and wholly guacamole; ) This place kicks a$$. Delicious goodness. The only downside is that the chips are just so-so and there is no queso available. Small downside to the amazing quality that is Chipotle.

  • Ashley C.

I think a lot of you dongs are forgetting that Chipotle is a fast food chain that spans across the nation. While it's not on the same level as McDonald's, it's also not a local favorite like Felipe's. So get your heads out of your butts and just take this place for what it is: fast, simple, inconsistent, pretty damn good.

    (5)
  • Leon P.

**I would put 3.5 stars if I could. This is the best of the burrito/taco establishments of the same type , not including Felipe's, which is more of a 4 star for me and really an altogether different restaurant. The menu is basic, and the place is always very clean. The employees are all held go strict food safety standards. The food is good , but I wish they had fresher tasting or possibly homemade flour and corn tortillas. The chicken and Barbacoa steak are the best meats. ( I haven't tried the softest yet. ). The guacamole is always good and fresh tasting. For the most part, the line flows pretty well. I will always make this a stop for some quick tacos or a taco bowl. It is very quick, organized, and clean ( unlike some of the similar places that seem to have a mass disorder going on. For best results get the tacos or a burrito bowl. ( if you order a burrito, and get a rookie burrito roller, you will be sorry). Pros: 1. Managed well/ great customer service. 2. Great service /quality/cleanliness 3. Fresh tasting food Cons 1. Inconstent tortillas ( corn and flour). Make fresh ones!!!!!! It isn't difficult and will make the product better. 2. Tabasco doesn't really go with anything on the menu.( although I love Tabasco. Just not at chipotle). Get some Mexican hot sauce. 3. The "hot" salsa is VERY mild. Put some kick in it.

Good quality fresh food and friendly service! I have always been a fan of Chipotle and I'm so happy they opened a location near NOLA. Store is clean and we'll located on Veterans with outdoor space.

  • Jack B.

Love Chipotle, usually. I really like almost every single one i've been to but something seems wrong with this place. Like they can't get out of their own way. Food is decent, but service is just okay.

    (2)
  • Argeau B.

This is a much needed diversion from the overwhelming barage of fried chicken bits, overpriced sushi, microwave-Americana, and burger places that have infected Metairie. If I were judging solely on the quality and freshness of the ingredients this place would warrant 5 stars, and since it is new I will forgive their slow service, but in fairness all of this store's serious problems are clearly the result of poor design . First and foremost there is only one food service station. Izzos nearby has two and you can immediately tell the difference in service with their throughput on delivering people's orders. But worse, the general design of the store entrances and exits and pathways seem to make no sense whatsoever. There are three doors on the building only one of which works on one side so people are forever parking on the wrong side of the building thinking they can enter and have to walk all the way around. In the front there are two doors that can only be opened from the inside. It makes no sense. And as usual the decor in Chipotle's makes a prison cafeteria seem warm and inviting. In any case the food is good enough to you make me put up with the design misgivings

Went for the first and last time. Food was not that good. Inside was cold(I usually prefer colder temps) it was dirty, and quite loud. I have no reason to ever visit the place again

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
