Wondered in to Bottom Line on a Friday night. Bar tender Kendel took great care of us. Had some gravy fries that hit the spot!

Good place to get a drink and hang out. Great burgers and the wings are amazing. Also the bartenders are great.

Well being Dan H. said to go with the burgers, I decided to go with (3) of them. I was on the corner of vets and division and could not get this place to pop up to save my life. You cannot pay to get a good rating on Yelp--what they state is absolutely true. But if you don't pay them like the digital mob, don't ever expect to be found. But bobby's Cajun cannon is all over the place. Maybe it's not beyond a reasonable doubt, but on a preponderance of the evidence Yelp! is guilty! As for the burgers, when I showed no interest for sitting there all night and drinking the night away--the order was kind of quick, and there was no "how do you WANT them cooked?" So they all are like really crisp and well done--which I hate with a passion. If I was dining in I would have sent them all back. There's nothing like having your only job cooking burgers all day, and when the customer takes the last bite it tastes like a burnt chicken wing. (Like the tip of the wing.....) ugh. $40 on 3 burgers wasted!!! Should have gone to the swamp room. I just put my finger on it. Some nimrod must have sprayed the "gas grill" with lighter fluid to speed up the cooking.... Every bite tastes like starting fluid-I guess medium rare wouldn't have mattered. So much for new management, I would have stuck with the chef and menu from 1989.

A nice little neighborhood bar with comfortable lived in feeling. Drinks are cheap, and when I came during a game, they had free wings to go with them. There is a pool table in the back, and a few casino games and arcade games up front. It has a locals vibe to it even though it is right next to the mall and Barnes and Noble, but still feels very safe, clean, and well lit (unlike a lot of similar places in the area).

One word. GROSS. I wish there was a way to give a place negative stars. This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had eating/drinking out. I had heard of it from Bottomline Beach Club, where you can order from Bottom Line Bar and Grill and have the food delivered. The food was so good, we made it a point to go right to the source. My husband and I popped in one night excited to have the food again. We sat at the bar... big mistake. Since we weren't regulars the bartender literally acted like we weren't there. Every time we wanted to order something we had to try to get her attention and finally call out to her to get her to come over to take our food and drink orders. Now I'm an outgoing person, I'm not used to going anywhere and being shunned, but this is the only word I can give to her, she was horrible. She stood over by her friends/regulars and talked about everyone else at the bar. SMH, horrible. After the bad (notice, not just poor, but BAD) service, we asked for our check.... as we were waiting for her to return the credit card another apparent regular appeared. Yep, a ROACH. It crawled over right in front of me, which made me jump up and scream. It scampered back to where ever it had been hiding. So now we're both standing there, with our unfinished drinks on the bar looking disgusted. The ever attentive bartender came back and asked what was wrong, when we explained that a roach had just crawled across the bar, she shrugged and said, "oh well, must've come out of the decorations, we just brought them down from the attic". WHAT?!?!?? No apology, no trying to find and kill it. NADA. Gross. Her and the roach. So, needless to say, we will not EVER be going back here. And I warn anyone who reads the good reviews to take pause and really consider it. If there are roaches on the bar (and/or in the attic), there are roaches in the kitchen, since thats where the food is. GROSS!

Burgers are great. Love the food and the atmosphere. Locals vibe with a homey feel to it. Had a guy playing music when I went there on a Friday and it was great also. Drinks are cheap and bartenders are nice.

I had passed this place enough to be curious. I read some reviews and thought it'd be worth a try. My girl and I both got po boys. My fried shrimp was literally full of shrimp. Unfortunately they were old tasting. I don't expect your average sports bar to stock the best, fresh gulf shrimp; but they need to monitor the inventory. They tasted like freezer. My lady and I mixed-and-matched. She got the "Ferdie." It was kind of light on roast beef. It came w/o the swiss cheese. We had to send it back. Also they left the raw onions we asked for. The ham was also just kind of bottom rung. The service was fine. But c'mon, its a sandwich order not rocket science. This puts the "meh" in Metairie. $30 for two sandwiches.

This was my place for years to get something to eat anytime of the night even at 5am. They had a great food selection any time of the day/night. Now their menu has changed somewhat. It is still great though. The bar is ok if you've been coming here forever and it is just your spot. They have video poker machines and a pool table but the atmosphere isn't as fun here as most other bars in the area. If you want a more lively atmosphere and crowd go down the street to Out Of Bounds. I personally would skip this bar to drink and just come for the really great burgers. I would put their burgers up against most of the new burger joints that have opened in the past yr or two. Try the Bottom Line Burger! My recommendation: Get a burger here to go and BYOB to a park or to the lakefront.

Under new management since I think about Oct 2013. Food is great and bartenders are excellent. 2 for 1 all day!!! Used to come here years ago and much better than it was. If you are in Metairie stop in- you will not be disappointed!!!

This is a personal favorite haunt of mine. The place itself has a very "broken-in" look and feel. As soon as you pass through the doors of this place, though, you tend to find a relatively low-key and welcoming staff. The bar has a good selection of beers and liquors, for whatever the occasion may be, and a good variety of entertainment pieces -- including poker machines, jukebox, pool table, and 4-5 flat screens. This is a great place to watch games, as the TVs are strategically placed for a good view and these guys have access to all the important premium channels. In my experience, the place tends to be relatively calm during game time, so if you don't like huge crowds and dozens of loud/obnoxious people, this is your spot! The menu very recently was completely overhauled. All those items you knew before may or may not still be served, but it got one heck of a face lift. Many more offerings for your alcohol-induced cravings. Take note that this is more a bar than anything. The food is good, but don't go in expecting top-notch eats.

Meet the new and improved bottom line! The offer a menu thats not your ordinary bar food. Drink menu prices are very reasonable! Love the fresh paint and lights around the bar. Only negative- change the juke box selection mainly just take out the screaming heavy metal music. Its horrendous and made everyone in my party want to leave. It doesn't fit with the new decor anyway I've always said. Good food good music good company is all you need

Great place to get trashed and to fill your stomach at the same time. Back in the day this was where we would go at 4 in the morning to fill our bellies before heading home to sleep away the daylight hours. I'm not much on the mixed drinks, beer is my choice, so I can't tell you anything about the mixologists skills here. So let's skip to the food. The Bottom Line Burger has to be the best burger in the area. Yes, I've had burgers at Camellia Grill, Times Grill, Swamp Room and about every other place that is "famous" for their burgers. None of them come close in my opinion. I used to deliver food to the Bottom Line, so I can tell you that they use all fresh ingredients. You won't find a frozen food service patty with a little Tony's thrown on it here. A standard order for me is one burger cooked medium well and an order of cheese fries. My burger is always cooked correctly and the cheese fries arrive piping hot layered with enough shredded cheese to keep you constipated for days. On really rough nights, I add an order of cheese sticks to go along with he burger and fries. Can you sense I have something for cheese? It's been a while since I've actually hung out at the Bottom Line for a few hours. Guess I'm getting old. Speaking of old. It used to be that the early (anytime before midnight) crowd resembled something out of Cheers. Then the younger crowd took over in the early morning hours. The Bottom Line isn't just a place to go when you've had a hard night of drinking. Their hours are 24/7/365. And if they're open...the grill is open.

Cheese fries were awesome as usual. Definitely my go-to place for cheese fries. The burger left a bit to be desired. Wasn't worth the price. Wish I would have gotten McDonalds instead. Go to swamp room instead. This will always be my place when I'm craving cheese fries.

The Bottom Line has been around since I was a kid in Metry brah! It's one of the go to places when you need eats late. As I don't drink other than a toast at a wedding or New Year's...OR if my dining partner is REALLY hot and has a bottle of wine..I am unable to comment on the quality of drinks. I can speak for many of the bartenders that have been there for years. I go in...even if its been over 6 months and most of them know I am drinking orange juice. As to its interior..its dark..whether its day night, there are two pool tables, 3 poker machines a fairly decent sized bar it is between both entrances as well as quite a few tables. It's fairly clean as bars go..so belly up and order. They have real good burger's cooked to your specifications. They are thick and juicy. The Bartenders put the non produce condiments out for you when it gets there...not in silly little packs..but in squeeze bottles the way it should be. They come with lettuce, tomatoes and onions along with a spear of dill pickle. They also do a grilled chicken breast that is pretty good. They have various po-boys that are pretty average...taste great at 2 in the morning when you are lit up..but if you are sober..stick with the burgers. I was there last Friday after doing some late night debris hauling on my demolition project. I got what I usually get as of late..the Hamburger steak, I either get it medium or medium rare. I ask for gravy on the fries that come with it and extra onions on top. Who wants a kiss? The fries are your basic solid fry...a little larger than the shoestring stuff...they are crisp and hot. it was good as usual. The Bottom Line also has your other bar type fried stuff..like Jalepeno Poppers, Mozzarella sticks, cheese fries and a few others. I know at one time they had a Tuna Steak but am not sure if this is still on there. When you go in just make sure to say to the Bartender that you know the owner, "Roger". No Not really...that's a bit of a long going not so joke joke...there is a guy that goes in there that may or may not have had a partial stake in the place at one time..but definitely does not anymore.. This guy however..everywhere he goes..he tells people he owns the Bottom Line...he even tells people that when he is there. This guy DOES seem to have a little money to throw around from what ever sources..but..it got so bad that for years..up until recently(The last 6 months) there were 3 or 4 VERY large signs..about 3 feet high with big red lettering that filled them that said "Roger is NOT the Owner". So if it's late and you need some grub but want to keep drinking and you are in the heart of Metaire..Stop at the Bottom Line and do like everyone else and park in the Barnes and Noble Parking lot. Because of this there is always plenty late at night...but dont tell B&N I said this or they might revoke my membership and charge me full price for books.
