According to the Yelp reviews, this place has been open for a while. However, they are advertising their Grand Opening right now... so... maybe it is a Grand Re-Opening? Either way, I visited Tokyo Sushi House for the first time last week. The menu is ridiculously large, with a variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Thai foods. We went for the sushi. (tip: They are taking 20% off as part of the grand opening special, but only until mid-May sometime... I forget the exact date) The fiance got salmon sashimi and some spicy special roll (can't remember the name of it). He enjoyed this a lot. I had the Inari (apparently the first time anyone had ordered it there, but it was delicious). I also tried the Veggie Dragon Roll, which had sweet potato tempura, avocado, mango sauce, and some other stuff. It was AWESOME. The little one had some delicious shrimp and mango sushi. It's a small restaurant, but more than enough seating space. The waiter was super nice and helpful. The food took a while to arrive, but there was only one sushi chef and someone had placed a huge order before us. Not a problem. The prices are pretty much the same as everywhere else, and the quality is great. My only complaints are the following: 1. The menu may actually be too large. I think we took about 10 minutes trying to decide what to order. That being said, they put a description of every roll, which I appreciate a lot. 2. The location is convenient for me, since it's in Marrero and I live in Marrero. However, there were some kind of sketchy people loitering nearby in the strip mall, which made it a little creepy. This isn't going to stop me from returning, but I can see where it may deter people from making a trip to Marrero for some sushi. Overall, 4 stars, because it was pretty awesome.

Their Thai coconut chicken soup is to dieeeeee for! A must try. Along with their chicken teriyaki on the skillet. Now that's some good stuff too. Friendly servers... (Henry/Han; ask for them). Not too too busy to where you're waiting an hour for your food to come out.. Reasonable prices. Def a go to place for a quick dinner! I always go there after I get off work on some days!

Love this place! I'm religious in coming here every Thursday for dinner. Great sushi for a great price and love how it's never busy with patrons so I'm able to hold conversations with the staff. See Hahn and ask him to hook you up with his personal sushi rolls not on the list!!!

This place had me SWORN off raw fish for awhile after experiencing a sushi roll with salmon that was absolutely NOT fresh! Bleh. The snow crab rolls and anything without raw fish is ok. Dawia is where it's at, spend a little more and get some of the best sushi anywhere in my opinion - not just the westbank.

I honestly love everything about Tokyo Sushi. I'm VERY picky about sushi but I have nothing but good things to say about Tokyo ' s sushi. Their food is always fresh and decently portioned. I also like their chicken and brocolli with garlic sauce if I'm not in the mood for sushi. Their wait staff are very attentive and are always polite. Oh, and FYI, they deliver! I've ordered delivery from them many times and the food quality is just as good as in the restaurant.

Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Mongolian beef was exceptional and wife had the honey chicken. Was delicious. Son had the snow crab crunchy roll and he loved it. Gyoza dumplings were the best I ever had.

So, I met a couple of people here for lunch and wasn't particular about the service or the atmosphere here. I don't know of the servers here are retarded or simply don't give fuck. But I had to literally get out of my seat and track my server down on several occasions to get drink refills and other things. The food was okay. Not all that great in my opinion. The only thing that I can truly say I enjoyed are the portion sizes here. The prices are pretty good too.

I cannot recall a meal I've had with such an absence of flavor in my life. My party and I sampled the shrimp tempura, chicken katsu, and beef teriyaki, so this couldn't have been an "oops, swing and a miss" entree. Clearly the vegetables had to be frozen and/or all the freshness was zapped out of them. I'm certainly not hating on this place, its not like I was treated poorly or anything but there is just a complete void of tasting anything they offered us here (even appetizers). I'm impressed with how lackluster this was. No way this stuff didn't come straight off a warehouse truck, thawed and nuked to your plate. The good news is this would be a great place to eat if you were on a diet because it takes all the joy out of enjoying a meal If you have a hankering for the taste of frozen fish sticks but don't have the motivation to defrost them.....this might be your spot

This is my favorite sushi place. The Donna roll is AMAZING and I also love their Pad Thai. Ask for the Pad Thai spicy if you want a delicious treat. I have to completely disagree with the reviewers that said this place has bad customer service, I find the staff here to be the most accommodating anywhere. They deliver-and who would ever think you could get sushi delivery in Marrero? We were ecstatic about that when they first opened! I'm not sure if the guy that always talks to us is the owner or manager but he is incredible. I can call in and he will know from my name exactly what we want, and get it out to us super quickly. If we go in to eat, he always recommends something new that I love. I get really sad that it seems to be pretty slow every time I go in, because if this place closes I will be heartbroken.

This was my second time ordering from them. They answer the phone as if you called someone's house. No professional greeting both times should have been a sign. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's just one of those days but it reoccurred so No. The food on a scale from 1-10 is a 4. If you like poor customer service mediocre food then this is the place to be.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
