I ordered the country fried steak, 2 eggs over medium, the eggs were over cooked. I also got the cinnamon french toast, undercooked. Really disappointed. the food was slapped in the to go containers tossed about. Upper management needs to step in and get control of their business. I would not suggest anyone eats there. You would never think anyone could mess up breakfast. This place can and does. if I could give zero stars, I would.

Trying to place an order to go had to call 6 times before someone answered the phone, and then the person said what do I want we are busy like she's talking to her boyfriend or something on the phone, and then when I place the order on the phone she tells me we don't feel like making an omelette so order something else. One thing is I don't care what you feel like making satisfy the customer or quit your job. 2nd thing is when I pickup the omelette they didn't feel like making it was just was a plan omelette nothing was in it.

1 star. 1 sad star. It's I Hop, all we wanted were some pancakes. This review isn't even about the food because well, we didn't stay to eat. Sunday morning, before the church crowd got there, we were seated right when we walked in. Let me reiterate that I Hop was not yet crowded. My Mom and I sat and perused the menu...and we sat... and we sat. No one even looked our way! There were servers scurrying around, but not one noticed we had been sitting for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged what so ever. I tried to catch someone's eye...to no avail! After 15 minutes of that, we walked out. Joe's on Barataria happily served us pancakes. Perhaps the food is just fine, I wouldn't know. But their service has to be dealt with because calling it lacking is an understatement.

Very slow service. No, and I mean no sense of urgency! Pay attention to your name being called for your table or they might just pass your name up! Horrible! Food was average! Again to help with speed of service, place your order when your placing your drink order. Another speed tip, ask for your bill once food arrives or you will be waiting!!!!!!

I don't like IHOP and I would never go here on my own free will. They're notorious for bad service and long food times (and have yet to prove me wrong). However, I got dragged here a few different times because my friends wanted to get breakfast food in the area. The only positive comment I can make is they have a large menu and the new Lapalco location seems clean and spacious. When I first came here, it was packed. Now every time I drive by, there's barely any cars in the parking lot. I guess people figured out how terrible the service is. The wait staff is inattentive and either lazy or they don't care. I've walked in before and seen servers sitting in booths and overheard loud conversations on more than one occasion including cursing. Obviously they don't care who can hear them. The food always takes at least thirty minutes or longer and I don't understand why given that it's all eggs and pancakes. They must only have one cook. If you're with a group, every person's entree comes out separately instead of all at once so one person may have finished their food already before another person even receives any. Today, I waited 20 minutes before a server informed me that the waffle machine was broken and asked if I wanted something else. Then they ran out of sugar free syrup. There's never a manager around to check on tables or apologize. No wonder that place is always dead. I doubt it will last more than a few months.

This has got to be the worst ihop I've ever been too! The most horrible service ever. I'm a server also so I know how the restaurant industry works. Pass 2 times we been the service was the worst ever. My husband drink was never refilled throughout the whole time, they finally asked if he wanted a refill after he already finished his food. 2nd time we were there, the waitress barely came by to see if we needed anything else. And on too of that she messed up our order and took her 15 mins just to get us some ketchup. Today we thought we give it another try. Came in, stood there for 10 minutes, and never got say. There was only 1 table in there. The phone was ringing off the hook but no one picked up the phone. So we decided to leave and spend our money else where. Worst ihop ever. Never will we be back at this ihop. Manhatten ihop is so much better.

If you been to IHOP, you know the place already. Its brand new in Marrero. Obviously because the staff barely knew the menu. I ordered nothing special and my kids went for the funny face pancake. A kiddie staple. They messed it up. My kids wanted it without the chocolate pancakes, just regular buttermilk. There is another kid version that comes with buttermilk, not called the Funny Face. That's what they brought. And even still it was a sad effort. My girls asked me not to say anything and cheerfully ate it up. The server was an extremely polite man and attentive, but the behind the scenes in the kitchen, were letting obscenities fly. Not the ultimate F bomb but enough was leaking through. I get it though, was a extremely slow day and they are bored but when its slow, that also means its quiet in there. We had issues at the Manhattan location too. So it was no surprise, we were just really in the mood for pancakes in the evening and wanted to try a new place. Next time I will stick with Joe's Café on Barataria
