This place is the closest restaurant to my home so we do eat here a decent bit since it's so convenient. The best thing about this place is the cleanliness. I cannot count how many times I have walked in the restaurant when it was slow and saw the owner with a broom in his hand or wiping something down. He clearly takes pride in his restaurant and I can only assume the kitchen is kept just as clean judging by how well-kept the restaurant is. The shrimp poboy and BLT is delicious. My boyfriend really enjoys the roast beef poboy. I used to get the burger frequently but the beef patty and bread started to remind me of school cafeteria lunches, although the lettuce, tomato and onions are always fresh. I really wish they would get better quality fries- they're rarely seasoned/salted, hardly taste like a potato, taste over-processed and the aftertaste is odd. If they got some better fries I would be super pleased with Skooter's and eat here even more often. There's nothing better than a great poboy (which they have) with tasty fries. They do have really great prices. The cost of the poboy for the quality you get is pretty remarkable. I have noticed there have been some employees that were less than stellar but they don't seem to stay employed long.

Cheeseburgers are dope!!! I would come here for lunch everyday if I could. The dessert bar is pretty extensive also. All the toppings you could ask for, to go with your yogurt. when going to madisonville be sure to stop off at this great place!!

The burger is very bad. Burger King is better. Meat was over cooked and dry . I could not even eat it.

This is a great little neighborhood cafe. A definite stop for out of town folk. The hamburger steak and mashed potatoes were really good. I've heard the shrimp po boy is another favorite of locals. The cashier / order taker was just friendly enough where it did not seem to be a bother.

So disappointed.. The menu says always fresh. The shrimp on bun and the hamburger poboy was good but the fried catfish was horrible. It was not fresh, more like mushy nuggets. I will never order it again.

I would give this place an easy 4 stars because of their burgers and especially their yogurt but the people that work the register HAVE HORRIBLE ATTITUDES. I would almost not recommend coming here because of them but, like i said, the burgers and yogurt are great.

We just tried this on a whim. We were well pleased! The shrimp po-boy had lots of shrimp! I agree with one of the reviews: the boy in the evening was just OK. But the man taking the orders at noon was so pleasant and friendly. I wish we had stopped there sooner. Good food and prices easy on your budget. Their "sides" were very good too. We will return there again before we leave here and anytime we are in town. - Would recommend!

Pretty cute little diner! Go with the shrimp po-boy. And you can't go wrong with the red beans and rice either! Friendly service and decent prices. Take your order to go and have a picnic in front of the river. Great way to spend the afternoon.

Great comfort food in a small town. I highly recommend the BBQ beef, cheeseburgers and they also have some great seafood. If you haven't checked out this spot it's a get find. They also have a frozen yogurt bar!!
