Good food and great prices. Server seemed to be preoccupied. Had to wait ten minutes before we could get his attention to get the check.

El Camino Real is a nice Mexican restaurant. The food is good and the restaurant is comfortable. The wait staff is welcoming and friendly. Has a great chimichanga. My favorite dish, fajita nachos. The margaritas are really good here.

Was very impressed server was attentitive. 10 dollars for a fajita wasnt bad especially considering that the food was very tasty and the portions were huge. Plenty of food for 2 meals not just one. I will be back thanks guys.

I would have to agree with the first reviewer, you would be hard pressed to find another restaurant to equal the value in taste. The portions of food they serve are gigantic. The only downside to this place, They are contributing to the obesity epidemic in america. Seriously though this is as good as it gets in mexican food.

I've eaten here several times and the food and the service are good but the reason I only have them 2 stars is due to the cleanliness of the place. When I arrived I went to the restroom and there was no hand soap. That's no big deal I thought because everybody runs out sooner or later. I told our waiter that there was none in the bathroom and after we ate and was paying for our meal I asked if they had replaced the soap. And in shock he started laughing and said no that they hadn't. So I asked if a manager was there and he called me over to speak with him and I told him what had happened and in amazement he had called over to the guy that was cashing me out and asked him why he was laughing and why he told me that. I don't know what happened to the guy that said that but I left and wrote this review.

I used to LOVE this place, but lately it has gone to the dogs. The food is just not as good as it used to be. I ordered a Chicken Chimmichanga and found the chicken to be tough as well as not having enough seasonings. The guacamole was very bland. Stale chips. I know this restaurant has the potential to put out great tasting food, but something as happened in the kitchen! I hope the management will get with it and bring back the REAL El Comino Real.

I judge a Mexican place by its salsa and chips. This place is awesome. Staff is friendly and fast. Food was hot, delicious and cheap. Located right off the interstate makes this place easy to get into as well. UPDATE BELOW: I am updating my review. I love this place and get to go orders 1 or 2 times a week and frequent this place often. But yesterday there is one waiter there that I can almost swear that he hates me. He never talks while seating or anything. Poor service and no chips. He is friendly to everyone else. He usually passes me off to another waiter. I did nothing to this guy. First couple times I ignored it. But lately it really rubs me the wrong way. I am only giving them 4 stars now because this guy that for some reason can't do his job and can't be friendly to someone that frequents this place. I have even brought it up to a manager once before. BAH

I'm going to start this review backwards, hoping to better explain the one star. As we were leaving someone in my dining party asked the guy at the register "did you put soap in the bathroom?" and the guy started laughing and shook his head no. Long story short, the person went to wash their hands before ordering, there wasn't any hand soap so they didn't order. I wasn't told about this until after eating my pile of grease nachos. This place needs inspected and shut down.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
