DJ’s Bar & Grill

836 Bypass Rd

Reviews:
By far the best steaks in town. Wait staff is very friendly but actual quality and speed of service will vary by server. Very limited side options and one of the worst salads I have ever had. But this place still gets 5 stars because that steak is to die for!!
Good bar food. The steaks are prepared out back on a grill and the charcoal grill give the steaks a great flavor. the burgers could be a bit bigger, but again the grill is just the right touch for flavor. They need a greater variety of sides to get a five star rating, but this is still one of the best places in Winchester to eat and the best for a cold beer a steak.
Outstanding dinner with the family tonight. We had chef salad, Philly cheesesteak, BLT, appetizers, grilled cheese, fish dinner & ribeye sandwich; everything was great. Best ribeye sandwich I've ever had anywhere. Definitely a local favorite & I can taste why!

Just took my family there for appetizers and they were delicious. Their banana peppers can't be beat. Crisp and not greasy. Wings were just spicy enough to enjoy and mozzarella cheese sticks were rich in flavor and again not at all greasy. The fried pickles were the best. Simply delicious. Highly recommend this friendly casual atmosphere. And the service was outstanding. A must try.
Fun little roadside place with good food at friendly prices, cold beer, and a great view of the river. It looks like it could be a blast on summer nights
Highly recommended!!! Love this place! Fantastic view, outdoor seating, staff is phenomenal, top notch service and food is always stellar in quality, portion and flavor! You would never get a bad meal! Atmosphere is very friendly! Live music, perfect!

Reviews:
Fast and Delicious! I went to this restaurant because it was in close range and had great yelp reviews. I'm glad we decided to make it a stop for ours because we got a huge amount of food, delicious food by the ways, and for a really inexpensive price. If a Sakura express is near you, I suggest going to it for dinner sometime!
5 stars for the taste, hospitality, and design. Ordered Hibachi chicken with noodles. It filled me up and was very delicious. I went there with a party of 20 people and we were able to get our food within 20 minutes.
Express is right! The only other Japanese food I had was at a hibachi grill. So far, at both places, I have been given a lot of food. I was able to eat at the restaurant and be full, and also eat lunch the next day and be full. The prices were very reasonable and the food was very good. I came with a group of 20 and staff handled our orders well. I like the fact that they automatically put the food in a togo container whether you are staying or not. It made my visit really convenient. The bath accommodations at the restaurant were clean as well. This is an important aspect to a dining establishment. Overall, I give the restaurant two thumbs up in food, style and hospitality!

Stopped in here about 10:30 on a Friday morning after walking the main drag and through the courthouse. I had a strong espresso and large strawberry white chocolate muffin and sat at a table in the front where I could look out onto the street and passersby. I had to get a second espresso because I wanted to relax there a bit more a and needed more caffeine. I probably spent $7, which was worth every penny. Friendly prompt staff, strong coffee, scrumptious muffin, good WiFi, comfortable design, and a quality view. If I return to Winchester, I'lol drop in again.
Went for early evening coffee & music; a great venue for local artists to play & sing. Excellent experience....and great coffee & crowd!
I love stopping in to get coffee any time I am in Winchester. My first visit here was last year during the beer cheese festival, and I loved the great atmosphere and coffee was great. I was back in town a couple of weeks ago shopping with my mother, and I wanted to take her here. We sat and had pour-over coffees, and shared a slice of cheesecake. It was a great mid- morning snack break and the service was great and friendly. Will definitely be back again!

JK's Cafe at Forrest Grove is the hidden gem of Winchester. The food is always fresh and hot. Service always comes with a smile. This is our go-to for breakfast and lunch. From the BBQ to the Roast Beef, to the ice cold Ale-8, its all worth the trip. And don't forget dessert. Get the strawberry pretzel salad, you won't regret it. Greg & his staff are great.
Yep, just as the reviews stated. Perfect for a simple set down or to go breakfast and lunch. Best thing is...it's like eating with family. Quick, friendly and easy. Worst thing is... I want this kept a secret. Come give it a try...or not!! Lol
This cozy, country restaurant is near and dear to my heart; exactly one mile from where I grew up.. Their lunch menu is expanding and changing every week. Great place for a quick lunch break with great sandwiches, soups, burgers, salad, etc.. Had the pulled pork BBQ salad today & it was excellent. Italian cowboy sand which is also delicious! Greg & the family provide great food & friendly service!! Eat local!

Great little spot for good home-cooked food. Biscuits and gravy are excellent, and my son said they have the best hot brown around. Definitely heading back soon!
The best place in town as far as I'm concerned. Don't expect a fancy dining experience, expect the best home cooked meals you could ask for without slaving over the stove. Deb is a strong, self-made woman and can back up the most delicious meals. We are out of towners and she treated us with the upmost hospitality and even sat down to talk with us. Very affordable and a truly rewarding experience.
Great little place to grab a home like cooked meal! My husband had the hot brown, a bowl of white bean soup w/fried cornbread and I had the chicken and dumplings with fried cornbread, we both was very pleased. Definitely would would go back again.

The Classic Italian Toasted Sub is the best thing on the menu at the moment. Loaded with ham, salami, and pepperoni, this sandwich satisfys. Available as a sandwich only or a combo. Go with the combo; why would you turn down curly fries?

Wendy's is my favorite of the hamburger fast food places. I think for the price a single with cheese is a mighty fine hamburger. Their chili is really good here too. Hits the spot on cold days. Combo #5, the Bacon Cheeseburger, best burger on the menu. Wendy's has improved their french fries buy using a natural cut and sea salt for seasoning. Very tasty too. They also have items for the sweet tooth. The chocolate frosty is always a good choice. Open late too for those late night snack runs. Good food and good prices keep me coming back for more.

Giovanni’s Pizza

728 Boone Ave
Winchester, 40392
Reviews:
Giovanni's is a small town pizza joint that can usually be found in smaller towns/cities. They have good sandwiches and great pizzas. I believe they have a buffet if you go inside to eat, but I usually get a to go order and take home. I would recommend this to anyone just passing through or locals for that matter. FYI their Extra Large pizza will barely fit in your fridge so beware. LOL
Dreadful is a little too strong but not much. Our hotel recommended this place and had we not been so tired from traveling we'd have left. A lack luster, unimaginative and generally unappetizing, fat and carb filled, salad bar, menu and buffet were "enhanced" by a wait staff that seemed more interested in gossiping with each other than offering any service. Judging by the size of patrons, the attraction of the all you can eat buffet is sufficient to attract local clientele. The quality of the food is certainly NOT the draw. Mushy overcooked pasta, tasteless sauce, not much to the salad bar....
Stopped with family for lunch today and we loved it! Great salad bar; excellent pasta sauces; solid pizza; friendly service; reasonable prices. Great food for the family!
