Locally referred to as 'The Cow', Sirloin Stockade is good at what it does. The buffet and salad bar are always fresh and price is right. Menu items are above average while overall value is tough to beat. Thumbs up!

Not what i remember this place to be... A very good salad bar but the buffet was lacking .. Fish, for example, was breaded but not seasoned, very blah.. The corn cobs had zero taste and likely frozen to start.. The ham wasnt country ham but was salty... The polish sausage lacked crunch and just didnt have it.. Just not alot going on.. This was a four star place in the past but at $26 for two buffets at 4 pm on a Saturday in July you'd expect something more. Too bad Ryans closed. No competition and it shows.

We dined at this Sirloin Stockade location a few years ago as part of a roadtrip. After a very long all day driving from Mansfield, Ohio to Murray, we were very hungry and we wanted BUFFET! I looked through the phonebook at the motel and found a listing for Sirloin Stockade. Sirloin Stockade it was, for dinner, which is an all you can eat steak buffet with good prices. The buffet offers a wide array of food to satisfy everyone's palette including hot bars, salad bar, and desserts. The buffet offers items such as hot vegetables, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, fried chicken wings, roasted chicken, carved meats, pizza, fish, meatballs, spaghetti, sliced sausages, soups, salads, fruit, cakes, cobbler, pudding, ice cream, and many more. We had our fill at the buffet and we made several trips. The steaks were grilled to our liking. The waitress left us clean plates before we went up and refilled our sodas several times. We were very full and satisfied with the meal. It was time to relax and go to bed because we had another long day ahead of us. Overall, I'd recommend this place for a good filling and decent tasting meal at reasonable prices.

Bust steaks and nicest buffet in town. Their bread rolls are awesome as well. This place is a no brainer. Eat here now.

As moderately-priced steakhouses go, this one has a good buffet, a little light on salad bar vegetable choices, and a little heavy on fried food at the hot bar. Still, it's a good choice for feeding a group of students at a reasonable price. Now that Ryan's is closed, it may be the only place where you can afford to feed them steak. We arrived on a busy Friday evening, and were warmly greeted at the door by a mature man, who looked and acted more like an owner than a host. He directed customers into one of two cashier lines, then ushered each group to its respective table. This guy deserves five stars. If you're traveling from MSU south down 641 (S. 12th) then look for the cow on the right (west) side of the road. MOO!

While the staff is gracious, the food isn't that great. You will find better quality beef at a Waffle House.

The locals eat here. The items on the salad bar are fresh and the items on the food bar are both hot and fresh. You can also order from the menu and I have found that to be excellent as well. If you want to conserve your money, try the hamburger. They tell me it's made from sirloin steak and I consider it to be a particularly good value. The dessert bar is included with the meal.
